Had an initial meeting with Dr Westphal to discuss a knee replacement. I was struck by his willingness to spend as much time as needed to answer questions. Certainly instilled confidence.

I cannot day enough good about this medical provider and his team. Everyone I had contact with was pleasant and made my visit comfortable without being rushed in and out without answers. Having worked my entire career in nursing I dont hesitate giving them five stars. Excellent in every way.

This place is amazing! After a bad previous experience with another orthopedic group regarding my knee, I decided to switch to this practice. I had an appointment with Dr.Westphal, and we went over all of the details. He was very thorough and easy to get along with, however, he doesn’t not usually do the surgeries That were necessary for me. Instead of making me schedule another appointment with his colleague, Dr.Becker, he just had me wait to see him so I could get my issue resolved as soon as possible. Both doctors were very polite and I felt like they really had my best interests at heart. Everyone at this practice- from the front desk, to the doctors are very welcoming and friendly. I would 10/10 recommend this practice to anyone who is in need of orthopedic help!

I initially saw a surgeon at another orthopedic practice. I dealt with severe pain for over 10 weeks. That surgeon poorly communicated with me, seemed to be poorly concerned about my injury and pain, and less than expedient at getting additional testing to determine the extent of my injury.I then elected to obtain a second opinion from Dr. Westphals practice. I called on a Friday and they scheduled the appointment for the next Monday, 3 days later. Dr. Westphal went over my xrays and MRI with me giving a thorough explanation. I requested if I could have his office to perform the surgery. They then scheduled an appointment with his surgeon on that Wednesday. I met with Dr. Becker 2 days later and once again he went over the details to my satisfaction. The surgery was then scheduled for the next Monday, only 5 days later. Dr. Becker performed the surgery and Im totally satisfied with the results.Additionally Dr. Westphals staff were very expedient at getting all paperwork, insurance approvals,.and scheduling done. Everyone that I spoke with were extremely courteous, pleasant, and friendly to speak with.There is no way that I can express my sincere appreciation to everyone in this practice. They all deserve an A+. I am willing to speak with anyone further about my experience with this practice. I recommend this practice to everyone needing orthopedic care. They are a class act.

Dr. Westphal performed a total knee replacement on my right knee. I spent one day in the hospital and walked out. He is an amazing surgeon and wonderful person to talk to about your ailment. He spends all the time you need with him discussing your problem and then takes action. I can twist, turn, bike, work on my feet on a cement production floor for ten hours and sometimes even be bent up beside a machine fixing it for hours...all with NO PAIN! I am so happy. Very successful surgery. I followed the pre and post surgery instructions completely, therefore I was well prepared. No post pain, alleviated I am still in Physical Therapy.

Dr. Westphal is very understanding and companionate. I have a needle phobia that I can not control. Whenever I am going to get a needle I start to sweat and get up tight. Dr. Westphal talks to you to help you relax and is very careful when giving the injections that I get in both knees every 6 months after first giving you pain killer shots.

I saw Dr. Westphal for a knee issue that I’ve been dealing with for years, without treatment. A family member with a recent diagnosis of a torn meniscus prompted me to make an appointment for my own knee problem. Scheduling the appointment went very smoothly and I was able to be seen soon after my initial phone call. Though I was suppose to see the PA-C for my first visit-she was tied up with another patient so Dr. Westphal performed the exam. He was extremely friendly and had a good sense of humor-which helped because I was having a hard time relaxing! He was still able to give me information on possible diagnoses based on my x-ray results and history. My follow up appointment was to review the MRI results that he ordered and to discuss a final diagnosis. The test results were insignificant-which is the news I had been hoping for. His recommendation for treatment was very reasonable and he took time to explain and answer my questions, which means a lot. I felt a sense of relief leaving the office! The front office and nursing staff were all very friendly and courteous. Overall a positive experience and I would go back-but hopefully I won’t need to!

Dr. Westphal replaced both my knees 3 years ago. The surgeries went well but I will not say the recoveries were easy. Therapy was not easy and at times it hurt. That was all worth it. Most days I forget I have “bionic” knees. I worked in an out patient lab so I met many people who had their knees replaced. My unofficial survey said Dr. Westphal’s patients fared better than surgeries done by other surgeons. Dr. Westphal is a great surgeon and very compassionate. He even called the night before each surgery to make sure I didn’t have any last minute questions or concerns. Hip replacement is in my future and there is no question who I will choose as my surgeon.
