Best experience I’ve ever had with an optometrist and buying glasses! I walked away with 3 pairs of glasses .Yes, 3! There were so much time more I wanted! Luminance Vision Optometry has a fantastic collection and exceptional service. Dr. Fleming was extremely patient and thorough in her examine. Then, she spends the time to find me the perfect pair of glasses. She has a good eye and goes the extra mile to find glasses that are stylish and a good fit for ME. Her staff is also exceptional, and they made sure I maximized my VSP allowance. The store itself is inviting, a great environment to be in while trying on the store’s collection. I found myself taking my time, not rushing in and out like I’ve done at other optometry clinics. Bottom line: it’s worth a trip to Luminance Vision Optometry – no matter where you are located in the Bay Area!

Dr Fleming is an amazing optometrist! After her very thorough evaluation, I am seeing better than I have in years! I have not had an optometrist spend so much time with me. She really listens and is very detail oriented. She has a great selection of frames. Her office staff is very friendly. I highly recommend her.

I did not have a good experience here. Perhaps it’s because I worked with someone other than Dr. Fleming. I see she has great reviews. When I got there for my appointment, I had to wait 10 minutes for the person to find my VSP information and she asked for all of this in advance via email. She didn’t know why I was there (to look at frames, not for an eye exam) and when she brought out frames, they were all heavy, dark colored frames that didn’t go with my coloring. She said they came in other colors. I’m curious why she wouldn’t have shown me those. At any rate, it was very disappointing. I was really looking forward to my visit after reading all the great reviews.

Prior to my appointment with Luminance Vision Optometry, I had been a patient at another optometry group for the past 14 years. I had been contemplating a change for the last year because I felt my current optometrist was not investing in any new or current technology & I was ready for a change.I was able to send a text to set up my appointment which I found extremely timely & efficient. Upon entering the tastefully designed office space, I was greeted by one of their friendly staff members. Due to Covid, I was screened and asked to take my temperature as well as wash my hands. I was led into a room with 3 high tech machines that scanned my eyes for eye diseases. After these tests were completed, I met Dr. Fleming who’s very personable and performed a detailed eye exam using traditional eye tests with updated and not old, clunky machines. She was extremely knowledgeable & kind and spent a fair amount of time reviewing my results and addressing my concerns. Dr. Fleming was very patient in explaining dry eye disease, computer eyestrain and glaucoma. I felt comfortable & understood what she was explaining. And I’m excited to learn she uses IPL to treat and prevent dry eyes.When it was time to pick out my new frames, the optician selected the perfect pair of glasses that worked best for my face. There were so many great choices. I’m looking forward to my computer glasses with blue light filter and my stylish sunglasses.This appointment was such a fun experience for me. I am so happy I decided to make the change.

Luminance is hands down, the BEST place to go for all your eyesore needs. Dr. Fleming is so kind, approachable and does the most in-depth eye exam I have ever had. Her selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses is the most amazing I have ever seen. I have 3 pairs of sunglasses, contacts and 2 pairs of eyeglasses from Luminance and I keep going back for more. Luminance and Dr. Fleming are the BEST!

I was a little nervous about trying a new office, but I felt very comfortable and welcomed as soon as I stepped into this beautiful office.Dr. Fleming is very professional and knowledgeable. She was very thorough with my exam and explained everything in a way that I could understand without going to med school. Irene was very helpful in recommending glasses that fit my personality and complexion. And they have THE best selection of glasses I havent seen anywhere else before. Dr. Mei Fleming is the BEST eye doctor I have ever had. Hands down. She has been my optometrist for the last 14 years. I started seeing her at her other practice in Alamo. I’m so happy she opened this practice in Lafayette.First let me explain, I am very nearsighted. My eyes are really bad. And Dr. Fleming is always thorough with my eye exams and accurate with my prescriptions.Choosing the right glasses that look good on me without looking like Im wearing “coke-bottles” has always been challenging. Luckily, Dr. Fleming has a great sense of style and finds the perfect pair. All in all, a smart and caring eye doctor. I highly recommend her.

Very impressed with Dr. Fleming and her optician Irene. They took great care of me and my daughter. Very knowledgeable and did a nice job explaining things to us. Also they have a tremendous selection of frames and excellent service.My previous eye doctor would just hand me a receipt and tell me to contact my insurance company. Irene actually printed out the claim form from my insurance company for me with the instructions I needed to get reimbursed. She made it easy.Its nice to have a top notch eye doctor conveniently located in Lafayette. I like supporting small business owners in my community especially when the service and solutions are so great.

I love this place! Simply unlike any optometry appointment Ive ever had! Instead of walking into a typical optometrist office I was immersed in a fashion oasis with highly curated frames you cant find elsewhere. She is also not your run-of-the-mill optometrist. My teenage daughter and I visited Dr. Fleming for both glasses and contacts. The overall experience was wonderful. Dr. Fleming offered great eye care expertise, an extensive inventory of glasses and enormous patience working with us (even proactively and personally following up!) Dr. Mei Fleming is a one of a kind... Her and her staff saved me this last weekend when we were in Moraga for a Basketball tournament i was coaching. I accidentally dropped my contact down the sink and literally couldnt see anything in our first game. I called Meis practice and her and her staff were able to fill my prescription within 30 minutes of emailing my script to them, and i was able to see again!!! Thank you so much Doc and i highly recommend Dr. Fleming to anyone in need!
