Im always kind of hesitant going into bigger chain stores for eye care. Dr Werkmeister has always been AMAZING!! The staff has NEVER disappointed me. They always help figure out insurance, cost and where the best deal is. Love going here!

I went in there to pick up my glasses and while i was there i looked for some new frames as well. Tiffany was very sweet and nice lady! She helped me pick out the perfect frames and she kept my son entertained as i tried them on ! She was very sweet to talk to and patient as well in my decision making. I was in and out within 20min! Have been going there for years and will keep going back with the exceptional service i get.

Not only were they patient with me and my father, but they put me at ease with their hospitality. Every interaction I had throughout the visit was positive, but these two employees are gold. I had to pick up my frames later and they remembered me by name! If Eyeglass World had a greeter, they would both be the perfect fit for the job, because they put off such powerful positive energy. This is my new favorite place to get glasses. I was recommended through a friend at work; and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Karen did a wonderful job of setting up my appointment and she was very accommodating getting me in.Mason did my initial screening and he was very professional. Dr. Werkmeister tested me and fitted me for my new prescription. I really enjoyed how friendly and easy she made the exam. I was checked out and by Corey and Jessica they both made the whole experience go smooth and worked with my insurance to make sure I got the best bang for my buck.I would recommend anyone try Eyeglass World if they are looking for a place to get an exam or get new glasses or contacts. I will definitely be returning again!

Eyeglass world used to have a gear selection of frames but they have cut way back. The doctor is great! The people out front are terrible. The were pulling frames I wasn’t interested in and I had all these frames in my basket that I didn’t like. Unfortunately I grabbed the wrong frames out when I went to be checked out. They do NOT discuss your options for the type of lenses, do not discuss the extras you can do to the lenses such as extra scratch protection, tinting etc. They automatically price you for the most expensive lenses and add insurance. They do not discuss the prices breakdown. I ended up with the wrong frames and there were two different opinions where my no line bifocals should be. Of course when I received my glasses the bifocals were wrong and the wrong frames. They said the could adjust bifocals by bending frame. But then the frame doesn’t fit right on your face. So you have to make decision what is more important the frame fitting right or the bifocals being in right position. Be prepared when you go in. Make sure you know what are looking for in your glasses before you go I because they did not go over any options or give me a choice of what lenses I wanted. I walked out very frustrated after exam/choosing glasses and not what I wanted and paid for things I didn’t need or want. I also left after picking up my new glasses very upset because bifocals where not correct but I didn’t want frames hurting my face.

This place is ridiculous I went in and spent $1,000 on two pairs of glasses I just went in today to see if they would even look it my inside reading glasses cuz they were so scratched and one side of the earpiece was cracked they wanted me to see a doctor they wanted me to make an appointment with a doctorand pretty much order new lenses this place is a joke! They treated me like I was brand new after spending a grand in there.!! they still want money SMH I promise you youll regret it!! go somewhere else not here!!!!!! Total joke!!!

Two Stars instead of one. Why? The staff on the showroom floor were great. I had a 10 oclock appointment. I was there at 9am because I thought it was a 9am appointment. They tell me its actually at 10 oclock, cause the eye doctor doesnt get there until ten. They had me pick out frames. Cool, one step ahead. Well I did the paper work and the pre exam. Sweet now Im way ahead and Ill get out of here quicker. I was ready to go.Here is the issue and I just walked out eventually. I know they dont make appointments before 10, cause I heard the eye doctor say that. 10 oclock rolls around and Here comes the eye doctor. Sweet. Nope... They had let 3 people go before me that had to have later appointments than 10 oclock and didnt even get there till after 10. Those patients seemed like they were regulars, so Im guessing new comers get the back of the line despite your appointment time. I had my appointment schedule two weeks ahead and took non paid time off work for it!! 1040 rolls around and I just walked out after they called someone else in front of me. I have never had that happen anywhere. Since Im not a regular customer there. I guess I had to either wait until they decided they wanted me in there or go somewhere else. I decided to take my business elsewhere. Ill eat the 4 non paid hours I took off from work as well..

Good prices good service. Went here back in march because my puppy got ahold of my glasses and they did a great job. Then yesterday she got ahold of that pair. Eyeglass world replaced them same day. Of course I was lucky because they just happened to have new lenses (my prescription) and the same frames right there. They have a great selection of glasses and safety/sunglasses to choose from. Ive been going to Eye Glass World for many years for glasses and contacts and I always have a good experience but alot of times Theres nothing that stands out where I can say its fabulous. This time I can say it was. The doctor is always wonderful but sometimes the people on the floor dont have anything that stands out about them. Well.....I had gotten a young lady named Alley and shes the reason I can say my experience was more than fabulous,she is so friendly. It wasent just with me,I over heard her with others. She knew I couldnt afford much pass my insurance and she worked with me and never once made me feel uncomfortable or embarrassed by that. I never ask for a certain person but I believe now I will be asking if shes working so I can have her help me. Im so glad I got her on this day,she is the reason along with the doctor that my experience was awesome!

Lowest price I could find for an exam, plus some more tests than eye exams Ive had elsewhere. While I supplied my own frames the had an excellent selection. Lens lab on site had my glasses done, both pairs, in just a few hours. Staff were genuine people not just corporate drones. Priced me several options and scheduled my appointment for next year. Even managed to work a rude customer in for exam and glasses with no appointment while I was there. Thats above and beyond in my opinion.

I went in and ordered glasses, and Melissa was amazing throughout the process! Jay was also super polite, and told me that my glasses would be in on Wednesday when I stopped by to check on the status of them. Wednesday comes, I call to see if they have arrived yet, and my call was answered from the rudest person to ever work in what would be called a professional setting. She essentially told me to stop calling, and that they will call me when theyre in. Thats fine, except for the fact I was told 7-10 business days and it has been that long. She felt the need to tell me that their lab has been slammed since theyve reopened from Covid-19, and that I would just have to wait. Im a pretty reasonable and understanding person, but the lack of respect and the treatment that this person gave me over the phone was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. And if longer processing times are the case, then be upfront about it and dont waste my time and get my hopes up. This one person (who did not share her name) hung up on me before I was able to ask anymore questions. This person will probably make me not come to Eyeglass World again.

I am not a customer yet but I definitely will be. Was in there just asking questions and checking prices and was treated so well. All my questions and then some answered. Prices without insurance were affordable. Staff was just awesome to talk to. Selection of frames and options was phenomenal. Definitely switching to this place for all my eye care needs!

Absolutely awful. I ordered a trial pair of contact lenses to arrive in 3 days. I called after a week and they said they hadnt arrived. Same when I called after 2 weeks. When I went into the store in person they found them filed under the wrong name. I found contact lenses online from Walgreens for 1/3 the price they offered at this place. When I asked for a number I needed to order glasses online, they refused to give it to me. When I politely said it was my right to have it and I wouldnt go there again, they said, Thats up to you, Goodbye, and hung up on me. The doctors are fine but the store is set up to prevent you from buying anywhere else but their store and the staff is rude and unhelpful. AVOID this place.

As a customer I am absolutely thrilled. The girls helped me navigate through the process of some of the drastic changes in my lenses, which affected the style of frames I was able to get. They helped me pick what was suitable to my personal style and prescription. Tracy and I got along fabulous! The Dr who did my exam was so through I was waiting for her to examine the rest of me! Lol!! They helped me stay in my budget and let me know what to expect on a wait time. I knew my lenses were going to be a send out, so I am eagerly waiting for the phone call to go get them!!

My family and I have been coming to this location for about ten years. They are amazing. About 2 years ago I came in with severe eye pain, the doctor noticed it was nothing with my eye but was something else. She took the necessary steps to get me to the doctor I needed and I thank her today for saving my life. Everyone there goes above and beyond. We wont go anywhere else for an eye exam. Thank you so much everyone for everything youve done for us.

I dont know about other eye glass places but these guys and gals take the pressure off and stress, there not the cheapest in town but the value you get is by far the best.

Ive bought my last few sets of glasses from them over the last 6 years. About 6 years ago I had purchased a pair of glasses with lenses for $300 and got a second pair free with their buy one get one free. The glass were great at first but after a year of gentle use the film on the inside of the lenses near the bridge of my nose started peeling off. I used nothing but microfiber to clean and only water as instructed. I was disappointed but I gave them another chance and went back 2 years ago and purchases new lenses for my frames. I bought just the lenses this time for $300... just for lenses when last time I paid that and had two pairs of glasses with lenses. I bought the extended warranty because of the peeling last time. After a little over 2 years now and that film is peeling away yet again. I called to asked about it and the woman said usually the film doesnt start to peel until longer than two years and she seemed surprised that it was peeling away so quickly. Shouldnt it not peel at all? Also my warranty is over so theyre no longer covered which in convenient. I asked them not to put any film or extra layers or what ever on them last time I bought lenses because of it peeling away but here we are two years later and to my surprise its on my lenses and its peeling away. The peeling completely obstructs my field of vision and Ive been getting migraines and dizzy from using them, I had the same issues last time they were peeling as well. Im not too happy because Ive had so many pairs of glasses in my life and theirs are the only ones Ive had that have peeled on me. The eye exam was great though. I had no issues with the eye exam. Most of the staff was really nice as well besides a few times Ive had the pleasure of speaking with one woman in particular who acted as if she didnt want to be there. I wont be returning to them again. I appreciate the few years Ive been given with my current glasses but I dont think there should be anything peeling off my lenses making them blurry.Edit: Since my review they contacted me and made everything right. They were pleasant the whole time and made sure I got what I needed.

So I came in after ripping one of my contacts in hope to receive trial and I also payed for a month subscription. So at first things were fine until I overheard them go to the back room and say she’s lying and starting to laugh. And Melissa came out and told me I had to buy another month subscription and when I tell you this is the worst I ever seen this I’m about to call corporation on all of them.

The frames I picked with the help of Melisa and the girls were beautiful, they helped with fitting me with extras that I needed, and the girls themselves were so helpful and sweet that I will always shop at Eyeglass World.

The Doctors & Staff are WONDERFUL here.They even help pick out glasses.Any time you have to wait on your turn some people are just slow.BE A PATIENT,PATIENT(I seen one not be)The Staff & Doctors are doing the best they can. Some of them work different days so you may not see same fatality.The main thing is to make SURE your insurance pays.If you dont have bifocals, you can get a great deal without insurance.

Called everywhere in the town because I’m not from here and everyone turned me away saying they couldn’t get me contacts today. My eye contacts ripped and thats why I needed them right away because I’m blind without them. I had a wonderful experience at the Lafayette location. I purchased 2 pairs of glasses and they look and feel great. I upgraded a few things from the basic options, but still paid less than 1 pair from any other location in town. My lenses and frames were in stock, so my glasses were ready in less than an hour. One pair had a slight scratch and they apologized profusely and had them repaired in less than 10 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend Eye Glass World if you are looking for eyewear for yourself or your family.

What a great experience! After reading some of the reviews I was a little concerned, but this place is great. The doctor was awesome. She was able to explain some issues Ive had with my eyes that other doctors simply told me to ignore. They were non stop busy but she didnt make me feel rushed at all and took the time to carefully explain everything.After the exam an optometrist came over to help me choose frames. No pressure to buy more expensive ones just made sure the ones I was looking at would work well with the lenses I was getting. She then covered all the lens options, again with no pressure to get the upgrades just a clear concise explanation of the differences between them.I was prepared to wait for my lenses to come in. Every place Ive ever gone, from the private practices to the 1 hour shops always have to have the lab make my lenses. Not this time! I ordered them at noon and we were fitting them on my face at 4pm. They are great. The doctor had them put a prism in the lens and I see better than i have in years.Absolutely blown away. Great place. Great people! Just wish I had their names so I could give proper credit.Thank You

I have always had a positive experience here.

Willing to pay money for trial contact lenses I had before so I could just leave my glasses to have my lenses cut, and the lady very short with me said no. Then when I tried to explain about having my lenses made, she was short again when I was just following what I was told on the phone. No I cant leave my glasses I cant see without them hence why I wanted to purchase the contact lenses.

There were more workers than there were customers. But one lady at least had Christmas antlers on her head. Waited 45 minutes before anyone would help. Just left.

Dont waste your time! Literally, hours of your life will be sucked away in this place. Have an eye emergency? Forget about being seen...all other scheduled appointments come first, even if you are a part of the prestigious Sight Savers Club. My family of 5 will not being doing business here again. Its unfortunate because Dr Werkmeister is the only part that makes the visit semi-tolerable. She is a kind, caring professional.

The Dr. Is worthless. Was turned away because I would need a double booking? The main receptionists were very nice. The chick who checks you in is a nasty individual.

The deals arnt real, they say $169 for 2 pairs but its actual almost $400. Its a scam, if you wanting to save dont go for the glasses. Eye exam was good tho.

Jay is just awesome. She is lovely and caring and her demeanor is friendly. The dr is lovely and was able to sort out my aspie kids. I have great experiences here and go regularly. My ONLY complaint is that the computer system is laboriously slow. There must be a better way. However as this is a national chain, that has nothing to do with the personnel that are funny and personable.

This place isnt as bad as it is rated. The employees there try their best but they are BUSSSY. Every time i went in they were busy, yes it took some time, but for amount of people that go in and out of there they try their best. They squeezed me in a couple of times. Out of the thousands of people that go there a couple of bad reviews are nothing. Its a shame only people that had bad experiences are the ones writing reviews. I would truthfully rate this place 4 starts but i am rating it a 5 to help with all the hate. The doctor is nice and her business is doing good.

NOW...went in for eye exam with contacts. I have worn contacts for years, my scripts have always included both eyeglasses and contacts. I walked out with a pair of glass, a pair of subscription sunglasses and my prescription. Went to order by contacts and they only gave a spectacle prescription. So cant order contacts and now have to drive 45 mintues to get the contact lens prescription....This has sealed the deal for me. Only 2nd time back since 2 years ago with COVID, and well still dont know what has happened to what used to be my favorite place to go. Very disappointed. And need to find another place to get my glasses/contacts.2 years ago!!People are very nice in the front end, but it is what is behind the scenes that makes me question that I will drive farther to finish out my eye club membership. My Dr. left without finishing my script and paperwork because it was end of her shift, so I had to wait 40 extra minutes for the other Dr. to finish up my script (the one I didnt see) so I could checkout and continue my day. Yet my daughter and I were 15 minutes late due to closed roads and tractors and I called 2 times. 5 minutes before we arrived was told they would do their best, their best this time was the Dr standing there and saying under her breath to the receptionist (20 minutes late, they need to reschedule!) Yes we heard it. So her 15 minutes because it wasnt 20 was more important then mine and my daughters 40 minutes previously for a patient who has been there several times, and it was only a routine eye exam. Plus how much changes in the 5 minutes! We could have not wasted that 5 minutes, 5 rescheduling. So 10 minutes of our time wasted plus the other 20 minutes past where we needed to be for soccer. So today not so impressed.

Went there this morning which is a Saturday super busy spent some time to pick up my glasses did my exam go to check out and they can’t find my profile then had me under two other patients charts so I just asked to pay for the exam get my script and maybe I’ll go back when they’re not as busy.

The staff had no idea what was going on. It took about 40 minutes for them to check me out because their computers were not working correctly. They also said that they were not able to give me a receipt after paying them. The assistant manager was extremely loud and irresponsible. The doctor was great, however,the rest of the staff was terrible. Unorganized, Untrained, and Uncaring employees make me not want to go back.
