Had such a pleasant experience at Visionworks today! I went in for a routine eye exam and ordered more contacts. I also got two trial sets to hold me over until mine arrive. The entire staff was very helpful and kind. I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but I felt compelled after the excellent customer service I received today. I will definitely be back, and I especially recommend seeing Dr. Gauthreaux if you can.

Professionalism is definitely lacking from a couple of members of the sales team, very nasty attitudes! Customer service training is needed! Especially for Monica, the retail supervisor.

First they broke my frames try to adjust them. Thier reaction was oh sorry handed frames back. I had to fight with them for over 3 weeks to have them replace them. Then I wanted to try to get contacts Im struggling to put them in and the optometrist walks by and tells me it should be easier for me because I have bigger eyes than him. So no thanks I will find a different dr. With much better customer service.

Never again! I had to come out of pocket with insurance to get glasses then Visionworks mess up my glasses and then they want to charge me yet again to fix their mistake!!! I should’ve went back to America’s Best!

It is so disappointing that I booked an appointment for 11;40 and I went there by 11:50. They made me wait for 5 mins and said you have to reschedule the appointment saying I was late. Though I filled out all the forms online they dint consider that with no proper explanation.

Been going a few years now, horrible at first with a rude manager that thought she was all that, I called in and reported, next time I got the silent treatment from her, did us both a favor, the others were wonderful and kind! I go for the glasses n convenience not to be looked down on!

Wonderful eye doctor experience! Staff was attentive, patient, and kind. Will be returning due to the great customer service. Everyone was friendly and willing to help. Dr. Lawrence was great and thorough, and Brenda was super helpful and welcoming to all of the patients. Happy workers make happy customers!

If you need a new pair of glasses, ask for Jeante. She was extremely easy to work with, let me take my time, helped me pick out two pairs of glasses and figured out how to get the best price for them both with the sales going on. I appreciated her helping me with suggestions and being patient! Will definitely return when it’s time to buy again.

Super rude lady, she needs to be fired ASAP and replaced with someone who actually wants to be there. No one would ever come back after being “welcomed“ like this. Fortunately the other lady there did her job with a smile. So the problem is rude lady not the store itself!

Was asked half a dozen times about my insurance during the appointment and after the exam and frames picked out, they tell me they dont take my insurance and charge me $400. couldnt have filled me in with that info before hand? i feel like i was preyed upon. my past visit was only like $90 out of pocket. oh well lesson learned and thats last time ill be going here.

My husband made an appointment to get glasses. They told him an appointment was not required but they would set a time so that the store would not be full of people. My two boys, my husband and I all went together as per usual to the mall. We were met with my husband be allowed in and my boys and I had a gate literally slammed in front of our faces with absolutely no explanations. My husband is legally blind without his glasses and therefore cannot see the demo glasses to make an informed decision. The associates there would not come and talk to me why they would not take my temperature and give me a mask so that i could assist my husband. I was left on the other side of the gate to stew and get upset whilst the associates would only look at me and roll their eyes. They were also very rude and sassy to my husband. We would have made the appointment for our entire family or even for just my husband and I if we would have been informed of the rules ahead of time but we were unfortunately not.I called VSP and filed a complaint against the store and the associates. I completely understand being safe and i am fine with taking the precautions but when i went to LensCrafters they welcomed my entire family without an appointment or gates being slammed in my face.

I have been a customer for 20 years or and have had good service. Last year I was having trouble with my eyes and getting a good prescription to see clearly. My Doctor changed my prescription three times. in just a matter of a few weeks so that meant changing my lenss three times they honored the changes and changed the lenss each time at no additional charge ! Today (9-10-19 ) I got a new pair of glasses with a new prescription during the special sale going on at a very good price which made me very happy about the money I saved !!! The staff has always been very nice and helpful ! I have never had a problem and will continue to shop there !

The worst customer service. Had an appointment in-store, when I left they were supposed to contact me back with information they had to look up. No call back. Tried going the online way, they sent an email to this store..still no contact back. I have been on hold for over an hour now and I am still not able to talk to anyone. Visionworks will never get my service again. Thanks!

Terrible service. The only thing their people care about is commission. My insurance pays over 90% of all my expenses for frames and lenses, but the salesman, lady just would not let it go. My insurance company said it should be 187.35 for everything, but she refused to accept my insurance because I her words it was too good. So she tried to charge me over 485.53. I am sorry that I have a GREAT JOB WITH BETTER BENEFITS THAN YOU, BUT YOIR COMMISSION MEANS NOTHING TO ME!!!!!! I PAY A VERY HIGH PREMIUM FOR GREAT COVERAGE AND BC SHE CANT MAKE MONEY OFF ME I SHE GOES OUT OF HER WAY TO OVERCHARGE ME. I think not. I have been a loyal customer for over 35 years and this is how I am treated. Please CK your insurance and make sure they dont screw you too. They tried this last year and had to PAY me back for overcharging me. Being a loyal customer I gave them a second chance, but now they have lost my business, my wifes business, our 4 kids, and my entire family. Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. THOSE LADYS ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR MONEY. EVEN AFTER MY INSURANCE CALLED TO EXPLAIN MY BENEFITS SHE STILL WOULD NOT ACCEPT IT. I have GREAT INSURANCE. I PAY A SUPER HIGH PREMIUM FOR THIS.

This has been the best experience that we have ever had with an eye exam and glasses. The staff here CARE, are professional, and their customer service is 100% the best we have had. I went into vision works for my yearly eye exam. From start to finish the process and everyone I dealt with was painless. I didn’t have my insurance card and the young lady at the check-in counter assured me it was already taken care of and apologized for not contacting me to let me that the insurance verification process was already done. Mrs.Monica the sales rep was also amazing! She help me get the most out of my benefits and went a step further to find styles of glasses that I like to try on. The ease of everything was more than I could have asked for. Vision works is my go to for my eye exams and all of my glasses needs!

This was the worst experience ever. Dawn was very offensive for no apparent reason. The assistant manager observed her being rude and offensive, she even commented that she was surprised that I didnt curse her out. The manager was made aware of it and noone addressed Dawn. It is very sad that the present coworker was black, the assistant manager, manager and myself are black. Dawn is white and was very comfortable of her performance. It definitely was not her first time showing disrespect among her coworkers, management and customers.

They handled my daughter so well. She was nervous from a previous experience with getting her eyes checked and this facility offers another option that my daughter was thrilled to use versus dilating her eyes. Such a huge selection of frames to choose from and my daughter found the ones that were just right. Dr Tam as well as the rest of the staff are wonderful and we had such a great experience. Also I’d like to recognize Leah for your patience and kindness towards Riley and I!

Great visit!!! I’ve been there before about two years ago... this time was different! The service was great. The associates were very helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me pick out the perfect pair. Friendly staff... a whole new and fresh experience! I’ll definitely be back!

Horrible. Took 2 month to get a trial pair of contacts. They didn’t work out. They gave me a ton of trouble to get my money back. Don’t go there. Unless you like being irritated. Some of the people here have no regard for your time or money. Only care about their commission.

Leah and Taylor were so sweet. Everyone was so nice. I didnt have an appointment but really needed to be seen and get a pair of glasses because mine broke and they made a spot for me and my daughter and helped us every step of the way. Leah Mitchell is one of the Best Associates on your team! I was going out of town to attend a Business Conference and had not received the contact lenses your company ordered for me. I called your location to find out what was going on. The first person I spoke with gave me inaccurate information and only advised the contacts would arrive After my business trip with no concern for the dilemma I was facing. I called back to speak with her again because I was really in a precarious situation but got Leah on the line instead. Leah immediately took control and contacted the company who shipped my order to see if there was for them to assist me but they couldnt . She didnt give up, instead she thought of something else and went to her manager for assistance. Leah was able to get me some contacts for the trip and turned a Negative Interaction to a WIN. Great job Leah! I truly appreciate your attitude and commitment to your customers.

Excellent Staff! I had to go through two other Visionworks stores, in two different states, and three different prescription changes to get it right. The staff at Visionworks in Lafayette, at the Acadiana Mall, were fantastic. From the very beginning, Ms Leah and Ms Brenda were extremely helpful. The doctor took extra time with me knowing that I was having difficulties getting my prescriptions straight. He prescribed the correct lenses and I finally can see clearly. The glasses were even delivered to me in less than a week. I am extremely satisfied with this staff and only wish that I actually lived here, in Louisiana, so that I could continue to use them.

I literally could not say enough how great this place is!!! From them answering my phone questions leading up to my appointment, to my actual appointment. Everyone there was nice and helpful. Best eye experience I have ever had! Will definitely schedule all my appointments here in the future.

There was quite a bit of confusion from the beginning (Insurance verification, then not being asked if I wanted an exam for contacts, glasses or both - this was my 2nd eye exam, ever). I had an exam for only glasses but wanted both, so they were able to fit me back in for the contact exam. The staff was VERY patient and kind! I am very impressed and will consider coming back.

Walking through the door I was met with a pleasant greeting and a request to help me. I came to have my frames repaired and was serviced with much patience and warm smiles. Visionworks was recommended to me and Mrs. Leah and her team went above and beyond expectations. Warm professional service with a smile!

Despite all the bad reviews I still took my daughter here. It was a great experience. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Doctor was great with my daughter as well as the lady that did all the pictures of her eyes. We will definitely be bringing the rest of the family here. To top it off her glasses will be ready in less than 24 hours, it wont take a week like most places.

Came in for a yearly check up and the doctors were great, had prescription changed in 2 pairs of glasses. Had them change one pair at a time. After dropping one pair off and picking up the other one, we realized they had put the wrong prescription in one lens. We then picked up the other pair and it also had the wrong prescription in the same lens. They took both pairs back and rush ordered new lenses. We were called to pick up the glasses, and we were given a bundle of 2 glasses in cases. One pair was correct and the other was a Mens frame with no prescription. We left and were called the next day to pick up the other pair of glasses, they were correct this time.

Your associate Leah was the best, she was extremely helpful and provided Great customer service. I was considering using a different vision center when I found out my preferred Doctor had transferred. But after speaking with her I decided to stay and not only purchase contacts but replace my glasses.

Mrs Leah Mitchell has gave me a good customer service, however until today 12/27/2018 Im still waiting on my glasses to be deliver at the store, 3 weeks, first on the 12th, then on the 17, then on the 27 (today) and nothing, computer says maybe on 01/04/2019. Lets wait till next year and see

Such a wonderful experience. I was helped by Nya. We narrowed down my selection, felt no rush, and no pressure to buy add ons or upgrades. Everything was explained patiently and I was given 2 quotes on an upgraded lens I was interested in and the standard lens to compare. I purchased glasses and sunglasses and am so pleased with my experience there. I highly recommend giving them a try.

The eye doctor was very nice and accommodating but the other staff are horrible.. Ive called twice and went up there once to try and get my contact prescription released.. still have not heard back from anyone. Save yourself the trouble and go someplace else.

Ive called this location three times in the past two weeks and been put on hold for over 5 minutes. I have gone to the location to try and schedule an appointment and they wont let me in or talk to me without an appointment.

Ms.Leah M is the best, and helped to get my contacts & glasses. I love this location!

Horrible customer service. Had to wait 30 minutes to an hour to go over frame options. Hardly any customers there. Once serviced, the lady did not explain any frame options I could have. I had to explain it to her (Good thing I had researched beforehand). She was very unhelpful and apathetic to my needs; barely audible to hear. I do not recommend this store. Especially as an out of towner who drove almost an hour and a half to get there.

Got an exam from a dude with a bad haircut, the room smelled nasty. Had to wait for a pushy lady to get me the wrong eyeglasses. There was never a time when I was not always asked to spend more and more money. There was a bucket of lenses they were looking into putting into peoples frames. Never again. Total Clowns.

Spent $350 last week on my daughters exam and contacts. Back today for my own exam, glasses and contacts -- usually over $600. But today, they refused to let me use their restroom while I was waiting to be seen. Told me the nearest restroom was in Macys. Wow. I canceled my appointment. Someone else can get the over $1000 a year I spend here. Not to mention, Ive been a customer here for many years.

Terrible service!!! No receptionist at desk for 10min that I had to just stand there and when I finally signed in the 2 people sitting in chair since I had walked in said I need to sign in also so I wonder how long they sat there?!? Doctor could not get correct contacts!! It took over 2 hours to get in and out!!!! At lens crafter it has always been 45min or less. I will never go back to vision works!!!!

Spoke with them over the phone twice; first representative was very rude and unhelpful. Called later and spoke with a manager Leah Mitchell who was equally unhelpful and just as rude. At one point she said wow in response to me as if I was the biggest inconvenience of her life.The ignorance of both employees was astounding and their attitudes were most certainly off putting.

Worst place ever, please avoid, my wife went in Jan with eye pain and redness and Dr Michael Ziegler should have went to school to be a Veterinary. My wife after 2 months have a corneal inflammation and infection and need to go see a specialist. This could have been avoided if doctor knows what the hell he was doing, I mean he put an eye drop in my wifes eye and he said lets chill and we will see what happens to your eye. What doctor says the word CHILL to a patient. Avoid this place and not to mention their frames and materials they used are crappy.

I dont understand all of the horrible reviews, this is the only place that I go when it comes to my vision. Friendly and helpful staff, Dr. Gauthreaux is extremely friendly and great at what she does.

Walked out. Terrible customer service. I had to ask for my paperwork after waiting 20 minutes in front of an abandoned reception post. It was as if they did not want my business. I dont mind waiting; just have someone there with a smile to give me a sense of hope. Will never go back.

Very rude and unprofessional. I called prior to walking in and asked if walkins were taken. After filling out my paperwork I was told by the primary receptionist that the wait time was unknown. Later after that, I heard many of the receptionists arguing about the situation. Saying that I may have to be turned around because all spots were booked. Not to mention someone else who was also a walk in was seen before I was. RIDICULOUS

I called to ask about my copay and the supposed store manager would not help me out, I called several times and he was extremely rude and ignorant. At the end he wouldnt let me finish talking and hung up the phone. I called later and I found out he wasnt thr store manager. I honestly dont know if Ill go back there again.

My daughters glasses developed a checker board defect with both the lenses. When she went back to Visionworks the salesperson told her it was due to a lack of care. Well our Optician disagreed and said it is due to a manufacturer defect. After going back and forth with Visionworks, they declined to replace the lenses at their expense. The glasses cost  $500.00 dollars. Needless to say we will never do business with these thieves again. Do yourself a big favor and avoid this dishonest crooks!

Worst of all option in Lafayette , La.The BOGO is a sham. Bought two pairs paid over six hundred. Was in an accident and needed a lens replaced and they wanted over two hundred for one lens. Took glasses to Walmart Vision and had replacement for less than half. Beware! No star .

Incredibly slow and under staffed. I loathe going here. Looking for a new place as we speak.
