MY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT SOHO SALON IN RIVER RANCHI have had my hair done at Soho Salon in Lafayette, Louisiana for about 4 months. I relocated from The Woodlands,Texas in early 2020, our business was still operating in Houston so I travelled their to continue having my hair done at Ceron Hair Studio. I read the reviews and decided to try Soho Salon, I started going to Michelle Blanchard-co owner. Since my very 1st visit for Color/Highlights, Lowlights, cut... there has been real communication problems. I began my introduction with Michelle, giving her my exact hairgoals, color preferences, etc. I am a very direct woman, in business and in social circles, my first appointment went fine but quickly turned quite disappointing when the details of my preferences were not taken seriously. I prefer my hair trimmed as I let my length grow, but Mrs. Blanchard took it upon herself to cut 3 inches off my length! I was upset but had to live with the shorter length. My second to last visit, I decided to only get color and highlights due to my length then too short. That night, my husband pointed out the all around color covered my highlights way too much, I made calls to the salon but did not get a response. I have had to do some travelling in the past few weeks and had to get my color done Sept 10, 2021 . Once again, only 3 days aftter my salon visit to Michelle Blanchard, grey and roots were already quite visible. I have since called with no return call from Michelle Blanchard, so I dropped in the Salon yesterday, the very rude front desk woman with black hair made every attempt to brush me off. I asked to speak with Michelle, I was told Michelle is out of the salon, she said: I have customers to help first before I deal with you! I guess I didnt qualify as a customer since I wasnt spending money that day! She told me that Michelle would call me whenever. Incidentally, she is the same unprofessssional, uppity person who hung up on me when I called to speak with Mrs. Blanchard. Once again I was told I would get a call from Blanchard end of the day, I never received a call, Im quite sure I deserved one. I just couldnt believe how this salon gets away with treating customers this way, and by one of the owners! In 30 years of going to Hair Salons, exclusive Spas all over the country, NEVER have I recieved such egregious, uppity and such unprofessional treatment. I wil file a complaint with The Louisiana Board of Cosmetology in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I can only make this experience a public awareness. Ladies, be careful when you choose a new salon, I would not wish this experience to any woman in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Just went to SOHO for the first time and was very impressed with my experience here! I saw Megan Hebert for a hair cut and it was fantastic! She was able to get me in for an appointment very quickly, and was friendly and professional. The entire salon was very nice and clean. I definitely recommend Megan for any hair service, I can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been going to Michelle for what seems about maybe like 4 or 5 years now, maybe more I can’t remember honestly. I’ve had to go to other barbers for when I had sudden job interviews and didn’t have time to book an appointment and boy oh boy were those always the worst experiences. Michelle is LITERALLY the only person I’ve gone to In Lafayette that doesn’t have me coming off the chair looking like I just left wonder cuts. I’ve never had a single bad experience here and as long as I’m living in Lafayette and Michelle stays here I’ll keep coming!
