Dr. Hagstrom is just a flat out fantastic dentist. Always in a good mood he makes sure your time in the chair is easy as it can be. I have had to have two root canals in the last year and both went as smooth as they could go. My wife and I searched hard to find a good dentist and finally found that in Dr. Hagstrom. I can’t recommend he and his wonderful staff enough.

I went in to A Shop For Smiles to have some bonding replaced by Dr. Hagstrom. I was greeted warmly when I arrived and given a tour of the office. The office is comfortable, clean and nicely decorated in a beach theme. The staff was warm and personable. Costs were reviewed in advance of the procedure. The bonding was done in less than an hour and looks great! In fact, this was the third time I have had this bonding done over a period of about 30 years and this is the best it has ever looked.

Dr. Hagstrom and his team have made my dental experience so amazing over the past couple of years! Such a patient and amazing group of people, I always feel comfortable when going to get my dental work done there. In the past, I have had a fear of the dentist and they have helped me overcome this! I’ve been going to this dental office for over 7 years and I have to say this is hands-down one of the best dental offices Ive ever been to. First and for most this office is extremely clean. I’ve been to a dental office in the past where I was a little nervous about the cleanliness, but they do really well with keeping this office clean. Dr. Hagstrom is really amazing. I also enjoy seeing Mary who is the hygienist, and Michelle Who does the billing. The staff at A Shop For Smile is really friendly and remember all of their clients by name. I really like this place and the dentist. Hes really understanding of people who have insanely bad dental anxiety like myself. I am a 10/10 lunatic when it comes to dental work, I dont go until Im in insufferable amounts of pain. This time I needed 3 crowns worked on. They offer sedation which is the most appealing part for me because I dont want to remember anything and let me tell you, I have no memory from 9am-5pm of that day which is awesome. When I went for my free followup appointment he told me I bullied him and the nurse before the last of the pill cocktail kicked in and knocked me out, which I 100% believe. I am the worst case scenario patient and they put up with me and I appreciate them. I have scared many dentists away, like more than 3...They deserve every penny.

I called A Shop for Smile’s office, as a new patient, with a dental emergency on a Monday morning. I had a serious injury involving a fractured and chipped front tooth and Dr. Hagstrom was recommended by a friend with a similar problem. I was very concerned about the future appearance of such a visible tooth. From the beginning, they were very understanding and empathetic and they worked me in that same day. I was fully prepared for a painful, invasive and very expensive visit, but willing to accept all of that because I was more afraid of a disfigured and dysfunctional front tooth. The entire staff went above and beyond to calm me down and keep me comfortable. I was given several options for pain management from very minor numbing to light-mid sedation. I initially opted to come back for as much sedation as possible, but after being there and indirectly observing the other procedures and noting the upbeat demeanors of the other patients, I felt comfortable enough to go through with the complete repair of my tooth that day. Dr. Hagstrom and his staff did a great job. Discomfort was minimal and my tooth looks better than it did before and is fully functional. Michele in the front office worked very quickly with my insurance, keeping me up to date, answering my questions and working out a reasonable financial plan that I could manage. This was one of the most traumatic dental conditions I’ve ever had treated and it turned out to be one of the positive dental encounters I can remember.

Dr. Hagstrom and staff went out of their way to come in on a day off in the middle of an ongoing national emergency to provide treatment that only became emergent due to years of negligence on my part. After receiving what in retrospect was horrible advice from a competitor, A Shop for Smiles was able to devise not only an emergency stopgap to save my teeth in the short run but a preliminary plan to begin restoring my mouth to health once its safe to resume normal business. Im very much grateful for that.

While no one looks forward to going to the dentist, Hagstrom always does his best to deliver top quality service. Everyone here is very friendly, making you feel welcomed and comfortable. I really like the beach theme of the place too - its a nice touch that helps you relax a bit while getting work done. Some of my friends have had a tough time getting ripped off by their dentists with unnecessary procedures, but Ive never had that problem here. Small office with a home-y feel. The first thing you’re greeted with when walking in is a cheerful smile and hello from Michelle or Mary. The assistance do their best to make sure you comfortable each step of the way, and always try to converse with you during waits so you aren’t sitting (or laying) in silence. Dr. Hagstrom also has a habit of calling the night of any procedure you have done just to check on how you’re doing and make sure everything was ok. This is something I appreciate as I am nervous to contact with any sort of concerns I have until the next appointment. Definitely a office I hope I don’t ever need to leave.

After biting on something really hard and chipped my front tooth, I had a filling done with Dr. Hagstrom. The final look is excellent. The filling color and the shape looks so natural that I cant even tell were the chip once was! Excellent job Dr!Also, I get my cleaning done regularly with Mary, and she always does an excellent job at giving a really good clean while still making the experience very comfortable compared to other hygienists I have had.

From the moment I I opened the office door and stepped into the waiting room I could sense that this was not going to be just another dental appointment. The first person to greet me was Michelle. What an amazing human being! She made me feel at ease and I could tell that she was genuine and caring. I was right Everytime I come in she is the same. What you see is what you get. I wish I could take her with me everywhere. She is so honest,caring and sweet as pie. She also gives the best hugs!!The office staff are all so attentive and nice. The person that is helping the doctor cares and makes me so comfortable from asking if I would like a bottle of water and even moisturizing my lips before treatment. When I met De.Hagstrom I understood why the employees are so kind and know what they are doing. I waited two years to see him. He was a second opinion from my previous dentist and after meeting him and seeing how honest he was I knew when I was able to do my treatment I would want him. He has no attitudes or superiority complex. He is not all about the almighty dollar but he honestly wants to do what is best for you. His honesty is refreshing. He is extremely knowledgeable and he is up on the latest techniques. He really cares about his patients. He gives great hugs too! I have had a fear of the dentist for as long as I can remember. I had a chipped front tooth and another tooth so broken it was almost gone. A friend recommended this dentist. I went in, scared to death even to talk to them. My husband held my hand and explained what we were there for and our financial situation. They set me an appointment for the next morning. And after that appointment, one more the following morning. Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. After only 2 visits, I feel so much better about myself, I like my smile again. I will be a long time patient of Dr Hagstrom.

Love this place, they have taken very good care of me over the last 10 years. I will never go to another dentist. Their sedation dentistry is perfect for me since I have a huge fear of the dentist. Dr Hagstrom and his staff have made sure that I have a great smile.

My experience is always great with Dr. Hagstrom and his hygenists. Ive been going for a few years now after a bad experience with a previous dentist. They do a thorough job and are very pleasant and professional. Dr. Hagstrom tends to be a little more expensive than other dentists but it has been worth it for the great care.

Dr. Hagstrom and his whole staff are fantastic!! I came in as a workman’s comp case and in my experience no one likes the work comp case. Not here. They treated me like royalty. Everyone is so friendly and genuinely concerned with my oral health. Honestly, this is the best my jaw has felt in a decade! He was so thorough and covered things that my regular dentist had never even discussed with me. Yasmine gives a killer maxillofacial massage and is so sweet. Mary is a super star, she took amazing care of me and always made sure I was comfortable. And the front office was so accommodating with my wacky schedule. A Shop for Smiles is a great place to go, they are very welcoming when you walk through the door. Dr. Richard Hagstrom is my uncle and hes the best dentist that Ive had and hes very great at what he does and my teeth are clean and pretty. A Shop for Smiles is very clean and it has toys for children when they get done, also it has snacks of you get hungry while you wait.

This is an amazing group and dental office. Dr. Hagstrom informs you of procedures and what next. I must say I dont like coming to the dentist, but I am welcome. Staff friendly. My new dental office, sure to return when needed.
