Had a minor issue with an implant and called on a Friday afternoon to leave a message about coming in Monday or Tuesday (they are closed Fridays). To my surprise I got a text from Catherine within a minute or less. Betty and her were there, could I come in now. I live almost next door so off I went. Betty took great care of me and all was well. To my surprise they wanted Dr. Gray to double check so they set me up with an appointment the next Monday.Now some may think this was just a onetime thing, No this is the way they always have been. Let me start by saying WOW. Ive known Doctor Gray and his staff for over a decade and cannot say enough good things about him and his team. When we first met, Doctor Gray was my Dentist but has since evolved to a friend. I havent talked to Doctor Gray in over 5 years and when I called his office a couple of weeks ago, he immediately remembered me and spent his personal time talking to me even though Ive since left as a patient. His service, staff and warm heart are second to none. You cant go wrong by choosing his team!

Dr. Gray is amazing! I started seeing him about a year ago after a raving review from husband, who is normally dentist-phobic. His entire staff has been friendly and understanding to all our concerns and what we want done. I went from having a smile I was afraid to show to a smile I cant stop showing in only a few months! They were very clear on what they were going to do to help me and what that would entail, as well as being spot on about the price. Sure there are some fine dental offices in San Diego, but the whole experience provided by Dr. Grays office is unlikely to be replicated by any other Dentist! Not only does Dr. Gray explain the procedure and treat his patients with incredible care, but the way he speaks to and works with his Assistants proves that its not a show, hes just YES, very kind, and respectful and his Assistants are in turn genuinely happy and attentive.Im getting implants, and to say I was nervous is a bit of an understatement. I entered the beautiful office, greeted by the sweetest Assistant, Carla, who read my information and asked if I would like some essential oils sprayed to help calm me! She then proceeded to place a headset on my ears with the most heavenly music! I was first given a topical numbing agent and YES, they waited long enough for it to kick in! I was then asked if I preferred Nitrous Oxide to alleviate any anxiety? Of course the answer I thought of immediately was yes, however in every other dental office Ive been to, it would be a pricey added expense. I asked how much, and to my surprise, nothing!!! What? Yes, absolutely no charge!Now I dont know if thats the case with every procedure, but I can tell you it was a game-changer for me! No stress, no pain, I was comfortable the entire time, and even more surprising was later that evening when, the very little discomfort I felt, was quickly remedied with Tylenol and Ibuprofen, all of which was provided by Dr. Gray’s office! I was also floored when Dr. Gray took time to call me personally, to make sure I was feeling fine and answer any questions! How he has the energy or time to check in on his patientsafter hours is beyond me, but I knew right then and there, this Doctor is everything Ive read about and more!Dr. Jeff Gray has considered every detail to make certain that your comfort is achieved, your stress is relieved, and your goals for a complete restoration of your smile and health are realized!Oh, and when the office found out that I was being baptized they moved, dare I say, heaven and earth to schedule my appointments in time for my special day! Dr Grey dentistry is by far the best dental experience I have ever had. I had awful childhood dental experiences. My dentist was a sadist, and I have extreme dental anxiety. Dr Hurtado has done amazing work. I have done 3 implants and 2 crowns. I have never had such pain free dental work done, the office sets a calm environment and they do everything to make it a pleasant experience! I had a truly exceptional experience at Dr. Grays office for my dental veneers. I had large gaps in between my teeth growing up and went through a few years of braces to help remedy the situation. At the end I was put on a retainer to wear at night but told that the gaps would probably find their way back when I was an adult. Thats exactly what happened, and I also experienced some discoloration in one tooth since it had been damaged from martial arts.Dr. Hurtado performed the veneer work for me. He made the process smooth and simple over the course of a few visits. Everything was broken down and explained to me with clarity so I knew what was going on every step of the way. His work was absolutely fantastic - at the end of the veneer process I had the smile that I had dreamed of. The entire staff were also extremely welcoming and friendly every time I visited the office. I couldnt be happier with my experience with Dr. Grays and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their smile.

I just completed my veneers with Dr. Gray and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience and outcome! I did the upper six and they are perfectly stunning and still look natural at the same time! The entire team is so caring and gifted from Dr. Gray to Michelle the dental technician to Mike the ceramicist. Together, with their patience and listening to my tailored needs for shape, color, etc. they transformed my entire smile like I didn’t think possible. I am so grateful, they truly are concerned with your comfort and happiness in the process. I chose not to be sedated, (although the office offers full sedation) and I never felt any pain whatsoever. I sat back and watched my favorite shows and before I knew it, I was finished. It couldn’t be easier! I was extremely nervous about seeking a dentist about the condition I currently have with my mouth from the very beginning from meeting Dr. Gray and the hygienist In the welcome room was a very pleasant experience. I felt my concerns and anxiety we addressed and I felt there was hope for my particular case. Literally after breaking down feeling like no one would be able to help with mouth pain I was experiencing. I was brought back to be examined and Dr. Gray was everything I wanted in a dentist he explained everything to me as he dictated to the hygienist, the hygienist made sure I was comfortable and kept conversation as she new I was extremely anxious during the examination. Dr. Gray took a video of my mouth showed me exactly my hot spots and what was going on, after that the hygienist proceeded with my x-rays and Dr Gray came back in after and reviewed them with me and showed me what was going on and what the reccomendations were. At this point I was extremely hopeful. When I met with the patient coordinator to discuss financial aspect for care it was pretty cut and dry. I was basically given two options one I already knew I didnt qualify for and the second is coming out of pocket for. Unfortunately being a single mom that didnt fit the criteria for there program. I dont want to discredit anything Dr. Gray and his hygienist did they were awesome and breaks my heart I wont be able to receive work from him. I just wish they offered other financial options for different situations. Dr. Gray is an amazing doctor and his bedside manner is one of the best Ive experienced in a long time.

I am so happy to have found a dentist office like Jeff Gray Cosmetic and Sedation Dentistry. The staff is very friendly and professional. I met Dr. Hurtado on my initial consultation, and he explained clearly how the dental implant procedure works. Jenny was helpful explaining the different financial options available, and stayed in touch during the reopening of the office. Covid procedures were followed, and I felt very safe. I chose to be sedated for my implant procedure. It was the most relaxing, painless procedure that Ive ever had. I never felt any discomfort, and two weeks later Im so happy to have had it done. I cant wait for the new tooth, created in their own in-house lab, and be able to smile with confidence again! Thank you Dr. Gray and staff.

I have been a happy healthy client for over a decade. The staff is wonderful! When I moved out of the area I tried another dentist once. It was an awful experience and I went running back to Dr. Gray & Patsy. The office is beautiful and tastefully decorated and offers refreshments while you wait. However, I have never waited more than a few minutes to be seen. I had my Invisalign done here years ago and that worked out very well too. I would not trust my mouth with any other dental office!

Always the best dental experience, no matter what work you’re having done. Dr. Gray and his awesome staff always make me feelLike I’m their only patient of the day. To give you an idea, I drive from North County to La Mesa to go to this office- that’s how great they are.

Watch out for this place! They “found” many cavities that need to be worked on. I was told a total of 10. My insurance had better coverage in a different state where I worked. I flew in and made my dentist there to check twice and he saw problems with 1 and 1 watching for. That’s it! 2 years later already have a new good dentist in Little Italy San Diego and still has not found all those “cavities”. Can you imagine they were going to drill in for no reason? Don’t go there.

The only negative I have to say is I have to drive 30 minutes to the office and 30 minutes back to work for each appointment, but for the quality of service and the kindness are worth the drive. I had an appointment to prepare for upcoming knee surgery. I had to have a tooth extracted, some rebuilding done on another tooth and a complete deep cleaning. From the very first appointment/consult through the actual oral work, Dr Gray and the staff were excellent, friendly and a pleasure to work with. I opted for the sedation process, since my appointment was going to take between 4 & 5 hours and I am really glad I did. I’ve never had any problems or trepidation about going to the dentist, but the sedation process made it so easy. I slept through the whole thing, took another nap after going home and woke up with absolutely no pain or soreness at all! Dr Gray even personally called that evening to follow up with me. I really cannot say enough great things about the total experience I had and I give mt highest recommendation to Dr. Gray and his staff.

I am a coward when it comes to going to the Dentist , as I am absolutely terrified of needles, especially when they are in mouth.Dr Gray is very good at administering shots. I did not feel a thing.The ladies that work with him are top notch! They are very friendly and attentive.I would recommend this office and Dr Gray to all who fear the DDS .Great Job !!!!

Ive been visiting Dr. Hurtado in Dr. Grays office for about two and a half years now. My most recent visit was last week, the fifth in a series to fix my teeth with a combination of implants and a partial plate. You see, I am terrified of dentists and because of that avoided them for too many years. Both doctors and their staff go out of their way to help me feel comfortable, not judged. I would, and have, reccomend them to my friends.

I’m satisfied every time I visit Dr. Gray and his staff. They are so professional and very welcoming. This was my first time back since COVID and I felt very safe. They took all the precautions needed for everyone’s safety.

I woke up and realized I had a lose tooth. Called Dr. Greys office. They made me an appt for a couple days later and put me on the wait list. I received a call within the hour to come in today! Haley fit me in his scheduled, he fixed my tooth and I was on my way. You will not find a sweeter, more compassionate man than Dr Grey!

The front office staff are fantastic working with you for scheduling and billing. Either Dr. Gray or Dr. Hurtado are extremely talented and both have a way of putting you at ease during the exam. The dental assistants are the best. Couldn’t recommend anyone higher. It’s comforting to know they’re but a phone call away.

Have been in to have a crown reattached, twice. Staff is friendly and soft-spoken and the offices feel like a high-end spa, a very soothing environment for a dental-phobic like myself. Coming up - a full exam and cleaning, may get a chance to see how “sedation” works!

Everyone is always so nice, gentle, and thoughtful with each visit to the office. You can trust this fabulous group of dental experts because they make you feel comfortable and are always there to answer your questions. They are patient and make you feel like this is home. When youre freezing, they will give you a blanket to take the chill off. They go above and beyond to make sure each of their patients are given extra special care and attention on a one on one basis. After visiting my old dentist in Hillcrest and realizing I had a mouthful of cavities to get taken care of and quickly got on the scheduling books. The first time, I was met by lockjaw after injection of novocaine! We thought it was a fluke and I was sent home without work done and a future appointment to try again. The second time, IT HAPPENED AGAIN! I just cannot spend my time attempting to get my teeth fixed and I never imagined needing sedation dentistry. I had no anxiety related to being sedated than I had in having my procedure. The staff are boasting with confidence and enthusiasm and I was treated like a queen. My anxiety was addressed and I can say today (the day after my procedure) that I wouldn’t have it done any other way, ever again! I am a believer!

For several years now I have my teeth cleaning done by Andra at Dr. Jeff Gray office. She is extremely friendly and professional. Not only its the best cleaning that I ever had, but each visit I learn something new about preventive care for my teeth and gums. Thank you, Andra!

I have never been to a better office in any medical or dental facility. Dr Gray’s office is peaceful, welcoming and comfortable. Everything they do, from their personal intake forms to the cozy blankets they provide, shows attention to detail and patient comfort. Each staff member is kind and friendly and very attentive. In addition, they are skilled, experienced, and professional. Needless to say, the sedation makes the process so easy. Dr Gray is excellent and did a beautiful job on my crowns, root canals, and replacement fillings! Everything was done in one short visit. I must admit, my experience was extremely pleasant. The sedation aspect provided very unexpected but profoundly successful results. The fillings were remarkable. I love this office! I had my veneers done here!! Dr. Gray and Carla were so kind and made sure my I was comfortable during my appointments. I watched TV during my appointment with my personal headphones. My temporaries were done beautifully by Carla and my veneers came out so beautiful!!! They have their lab on site which played and important part for my veneers. Their master ceramicist Mike did such a beautiful job! 5 stars all the way! Everyone there treats you like family!
