This office is wonderful! The staff is friendly and efficient, the doctors and hygienist are always great. I never have to wait and scheduling is a breeze. Couldn’t ask for more and will definitely refer my friends and family.

The team of professionals that took care of my dental needs was beyond amazing. From start to finish I was really impressed and it made my dental experience more less scary! I am terrified of the dentist and one of the many reasons why my teeth are the way they are is because I simply avoid visits. I only went in mainly because I noticed that tartar buildup was getting out of control and I needed a crown for my front tooth. I am glad I went in! Not only everyone made me feel comfortable but they also made me feel important. Thank you Mika for being gentle yet effective on my deep cleaning, your advice on my gums/teeth are much appreciated and Ill definitely be seeing you every 3 months. Thank you Rebecca for being quick/attentive and explaining everything during x-ray, definitely helped me understand what was going on. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, from the dental assistant to the dentist. I felt that everyone was very nice and genuine. My hygienist went above and beyond. I had a lot of questions and she was able to assist me through out. Also, my teeth felt very well taken care of. The office itself looked very clean and modern. Looking forward to my next visit. Just had my first post-pandemic cleaning, and I’m very happy with my care at La Mesa Modern Dentistry (and very happy to report no cavities!).Making an appointment was easy, even when I had to reschedule twice. They have epic e-charts set up now so I was able to sign my consent forms and check-in online ahead of time. My hygienist, Mika, was awesome and really worked hard to clean my teeth thoroughly (it was honestly probably a workout for her because she was really getting in there lol). She and Dr. Al-Khouri had both recommended an additional laser therapy treatment to further kill any bacteria below the gum line. They recommended it, let me know the cost ahead of time, but in no way made me feel pressured to do it. I ended up agreeing to it just because it had been over a year since my last cleaning due to the pandemic, and I usually get my teeth cleaned every 4 months (I’m a little obsessive).I had been a patient of Renton Modern Dentistry when I lived in Washington state, and had been satisfied with my care there, so I transferred to La Mesa Modern Dentistry when I moved to the area to stay within the group. While here, I worked with Dr. Ari who was great. A year or two later I transferred to Downtown Modern Dentistry when I moved to Cortez Hill, and that’s where I started working with Dr. Al-Khouri. When I found out she transferred to the La Mesa office, I was happy to continue my care with her there. I appreciate how kind the entire team is (at all 3 locations I’ve been to), and that they explain your financial obligation before beginning any services/procedures.

Honestly you could not pay me to go here anymore. My insurance and I were constantly fighting with them as they would ALWAYS overcharge me and then would never get back to me regarding refunds. The dentist here also convinced me to get an onlay instead of a crown, this was a year ago and I am still unable to chew on that side of my mouth. I went back multiple times to try and get it fixed but it has never gotten better. Unfortunately this place does not care about your teeth, but does care about taking your money.

This is the most dishonest medical / dental group Ive ever encountered. They lied to my face about what my insurance would cover and made false claims about my coverage. They charged me nearly $500 over their contracted account. I filed a grievance with my insurance and they were told to refund my money, but never did. Do not trust these people - they are completely dishonest.

Oh my goodness! After reading all the bad reviews I was floored! So sorry to hear about all the bad experiences. I am happy to say my experience was suburb! The staff was great and the dentist was amazing! I was seen by an Endodontist ..(Horst G. Dziura, DDS) who sees patients at varies dental groups. If you ever need a root canal, he is the man to see. He was about his business.I was seated in the chair, he came in, greeted me and got busy immediately with numbing.. Oh my.. didnt feel a thing. Except I needed a 3rd shot and I felt that one a little but he was very gentle. He was so good, I want him for all my dental needs! Also, La Mesa Modern Dental Group Root Canal was cheaper than the other ones I received. I pretty much have a good PPO dental plan and just last year I needed a root canal on another rear tooth. I was sent out to a specialist due to the dental office I went to only does general dentistry.. no surgeries or extensive dental work. I was sent out and my portion of the root canal was $450.00 because that specialist dental office charged very high prices. With this one my out of pocket cost was 1/2 the cost I paid last year with the same dental plan, and 6 months later I was chewing gum and the crown came off. Went back and that office tried to bill my insurance for re-cementing the crown! Go figure! So, with that said, If you are going to La Mesa Modern Dental Group for more then just a cleaning and need an Endodontist, request Horst G. Dziura!! Youll be happy you did!! Take it from me Im very picky!

This place is a joke. i went in for an appointment and had a procedure done witch went great. however, i was evaluated with another issue and had a treatment plan but the doctor didnt write it down. so, i made another appointment and go re-evaluated on the same issue but the doctor still didnt write it down. my request to have an issue fix were ignored and he just made a treatment plan on the opposite issue instead of my main concern issue.

I took my 15 year old daughter in . they told me she needed 2 root canals and a crown. I thankfully got a bad feeling from these used car sales pitch dentists and took her for a 2nd opinion. SHE NEEDED NO ROOT CANAL OR CROWN. This is criminal to me and these people should not be in buisness. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE . I can not imagine if i would have just paid it and had her go through all of that for nothing.This is abusive and should be illegal.

The people here are nice, but lack adequate training and experience. I was told by them that I had a cracked tooth and also needed 2 crowns. The Dr even showed me pictures of the filling pointing to discoloration as decay. Luckily, I did not get the work done. I went to a real dentist who performed bite tests, inspection, and more x-rays. No cracked tooth and no decay, just some stains on the filling. Saved myself over $1,000 dollars and lots unnecessary dental work. Scammers looking to create work for themselves.

Best dental experience, ever! Being 56 years old and working with HMO insurance, I have been to a number of dentists over the years . Unfortunately, many of these dentists were not very good and I ultimately suffered the consequences. I can now say all of this is behind me. La Mesa Modern Dental and Dr. Albayati are a godsend! In fact, all of the staff at this office are helpful, cheerful and they take pride in what they do. Dr. Albayati is a consummate professional and a wizard at her craft. If you want excellent dental work done and done right the first time, she is the person to see.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Worst dentist that i have ever been to...the dentist was very rude to me when i had questions. Then my mom went in there today and had an even worse experience. The dentist (Shahab Ariannejad) let his emotions get involved with the process. He wanted to deny my mother of getting her teeth cleaned and tried to pick a fight with her. She went in there for a cleaning and was asked to leave. They reluctantly cleaned her teeth after she refused to leave and then the dentist put flouride on her teeth and asked her to leave immediately without any instruction on when to remove it.

Very nice staff, great dentist. Offered financial help that resolved my issue.
