I’ve been going to this doctor office for many years. I’ve always found all the office staff and the doctors I’ve seen to be very helpful and professional.

Over the past 15 years, Ive had several different Summit Medical Group PCPs, due to living in different parts of Knoxville, TN. I have appreciated each one of them and have completely trusted them with my overall health and wellbeing. I highly recommend seeing a physician with SMG.

This is the most organized doctors office Ive been to in all my 62 years. My doctor is the best! If I have to wait for her more than 10 minutes, she apologizes. They dont keep you waiting ever.

Went in for a yearly check up for my insurance which should be free of co-pays but its not. If you are going in for your well-being assessment dont ever ever ever ask the doctor anything. I told Dr. Stevens about ringing in my ear lately and all they did was make a referral for me and didnt diagnose me with anything and did my well-being assessment. They charged me a co-pay for that when i could have called an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor myself! Me and my wife will never being going there again just for the fact that what they did is just plain wrong and didnt need to be charged on my insurance.

I made an appointment for my annual physical. They didn’t perform a physical then charged me for the visit. There was nothing wrong with me to cause the confusion. I have my yearly check ups and they are covered 100% by my insurance. They were rude when I told them of their mistake and charged me anyway. Dr Stevens office. He then sent me a letter stating he would no longer see me for “not following the doctors orders” because I refused to have the mammogram with Summit. They are terrible!

Dr.Bilbrey is awesome. He takes his time and listens to what I have to say. It is nice to have a great Dr./Patient relationship. I have been going to him for years. Everyone there is always super nice and helpful to me and can get me an appointment FAST!

My Dr resigned and I havent had a Dr since March 2018. I tried to get appt with new Dr just now and they said he doesnt have any openings and cant do my physical until December! If I want to be seen this week for being sick I have to see a nurse practitioner...I dont think so if I am sick I want to we a Dr. I never had this problem when Dr Ochoa was there. Now I have to find a new PCP!!! What a joke summit has become!!!

I would not take anyone in summit medical group. They told me I have a ear infection but I cept on getting worse through out the week. 2 weeks after, I can’t catch my breath and tired wake and my voice was slowly going away. And I felt horrible, them I would try to eat and drink but then I had a fever of 100.5 and down to 100 and but up again. And I went to different doctor and the said I have Pneumonia. In my opinion I would not take my children, any elderly people, young adults or older adults. They could have killed me or put me in the hospital. I would stay away from them period.

I see Dr. Hurst. He is the best PCP. Very thorough. If I could say anything negative, it is that you have to wait. Bring something to read.

I have an 80 year old mother on multiple medications. She never sees the doctor at the facility. They always book her appts with PA’s. Recently my mother was very ill. She called to get appt with a doctor. Instead she saw PA who gave her a steroid shot. My mother continued to get worse. I consulted with my physician regarding my mom. Not good!!!! I’m moving my mother to another doctor. It is not good practice to have an elderly patient on multiple meds see PA’s repeatedly, nor have your PA’s do diagnoses. That a physicians job.I understand that this is a business and it’s more profitable for this facility to have patients see PA’s but this is not good patient care. PA’s should be utilized for overflow routine follow-ups for existing conditions. When patients never see a doctor and only see PA’s or NP’s this is negligent in my opinion because this model is driven by profit and not care driven.

I love this office. Im usually in and out in 30 minutes. Ive been to some incompetent doctors offices and this isnt even close to what these reviews are saying. Ive seen Dr Bellmore atleast 7 or 8 times over the last 18 months and she is amazing. She listens. She does what she can. Shes amazing. NO DOCTOR IS ALL KNOWING. I wish everyone understood that there are so many diagnoses with similar symptoms and medications work differently with different individuals. There is quite a bit of trial and error required in the medical field. It is not an exact science. Just dont go to a doctor in Cocke County. you go in for a cold and leave with a cast on your leg.

I WAS a patient at Summit Medical for close to 45 years ! Dr. Cloud, all through DR HUSKEY until he retired & he ask me if I would consider staying with Dr Kelley, so i did, WORST MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE ! I graduated from Nursing School in 1972. That is the most unorganized place that I have ever seen !! I went in to get blood drawn on August 2, 2018, I have Hypothyroidism & in goes up & down, so I go in every three months to have it checked. All of my blood work was fine & negative, but I had to call the office two weeks later & they called me the next day 😳 ! Then on the 12th of August I get a Resistered letter telling me to find another dr.!! 😳. I have NEVER TAKEN ANY KIND OF PAIN MEDICATION except with a Dr. RX after surgery. They told me that I had Tylenol 3 in my urine !! WOW,😳😳 ! It WAS NOT MY URINE, I WILL TAKE A LIE DETECTOR TEST ANYTIME, I AM A CHRISTIAN & I DO NOT LIE, STEEL OR TAKE PAIN MEDICATION ! All Dr. Kelley ever did was run in & get on the computer, then out ! SOMEONE MADE A BIG MISTAKE, I HAVE GOT THE “ TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH OFFICE OF INVESTIGATIONS IN NASHVILLE WORKING ON THIS, & WILL BE REPORTED TO THE BBB. FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR FOR YOUR HEALTH, SUMMIT MEDICAL IS A JOKE ! 🙏,

Would not take me as a new patient even though they have taken people with the same insurance. They would not give me a reason why I have military insurance tricare. Had me on hold for 20 minutes just to tell me that.

I have a bachelors degree in Nursing and have over 40 years combined experience in healthcare. I have been a patient with this facility for several years and have always been very pleased with their medical service. When my primary care physician, Dr. Larry Huskey retired, I was concerned that I might not receive the same quality of healthcare he had always provided, but I was in for a very happy surprise when Dr. Shane Kelley became our PCP. My husband and I could not ask for a better physician to see to our primary health care than Dr. Kelley. He is always polite, he really listens and if he doesnt know (which is very rare), he doesnt fake it. Instead he will tell you he will research it and let you know. And yes, he does follow up. In 40 years of working in conjunction with different healthcare groups across the United States as a Board Certified Medical Case Manager, I can honestly say the staff here is the best I have ever seen in healthcare. I have always found each person here to be professional in all circumstances, polite and caring. This is the only healthcare group in 40 years that, with no hesitation, I award 5 stars! Well done!

I had an extremely rude nurse and was told insurance would cover visit, but didn’t. I have been to this doctor’s office 3 times and every time I had someone who was very rude. I’m not sure what it’s like to work there, but people don’t seem to like their jobs very much.

I saw a nurse practitioner for 5 minutes. They refused to tell me the cost before and after the visit just to get cough medicine. They charged $139 for the visit. Since they are not up front with their charges I gave them 1 star.

Dr. Kelly is a Great Dr.
