Very rude staff. Dr Kabbani was rough during procedures. Billing/insurance/front office would talk down to me and treat me like I was remedial and demand I do things a certain way to their standard, whether or not it was honest for myself. I got the *first* call regarding a balance owed to them and I said I couldnt make payment until my next check and was told if it isnt paid by Monday it would be sent to collections. Why call for an old bill, for the first time, 5 days prior to sending it to collections? Ive moved since my last appointment with them, so I havent received anything from them. The only bill Ive received regarding them was from Humana to cover over $1200 in services I never received, that I am still fighting. Once I told her I dont get paid this Friday she said she was going to send it on to collections and to have a great day and ended the call. Completely cold, heartless group of jerks I am rather glad to be discharged from the practice. COVID has been their excuse to shut down without ever informing patients, and if you EVER needed to call the office for anything, you would never get through until weeks of trying.

At this point Im beginning to think the office has permanently closed. I was supposed to see him six months ago when things shut down for COVID and I havent been able to get anything other than the our office is closed message ever since. I ended up having to have another doctor take over my prescription since I could never leave a message. No great loss. He talked about himself more than he discussed anything to do with me, the patient.

I give Dr. Kabbani a one star due to several facts. For one when we went to his office he spent more time with a drug rep than he did with us. When he finally came in the room he wouldn’t listen to anything we had to say. He just wanted to go ahead and give my husband the diagnosis of Epilepsy in three minutes. My husband continued to have problems and we finally we to his primary care doctor begging to see another neurologist. She referred us to Vanderbilt. We just went there on Thursday and it didn’t take long for them to tell us it was medication interactions. I would never trust this man ever!! On a side note when you try and call his office nobody answers the phone. You have to leave a message and good luck on getting a call back.

Dr. Kabbani seems like a great Dr. but the staff in his office are the reason I gave 1 star. They wait 30+ minutes each day to turn their phones on after opening. If you call during business hours, you are required to leave a message and wait for them to call you back no matter what it is for, but if you call after/before business hours you can not even leave a message! I called Wednesday before lunch with problems going on and today is Friday(theyre closed) and I still have not heard anything back which is VERY frustrating! Would NOT recommend.

As a Neurologist I have been very pleased with him. His personality and mine work well together. Hes very much to the point, discusses treatment options (with pros/cons), answers questions I have, and tosses in just a little bit of humor. The only reason I deducted a star is due to the office staff Ive dealt with. Some of them can be rather curt bordering on being rude on the phone.

Dr. Kabbani diagnosed me with epilepsy years ago. He very rude and obviously only cares about the money and not the patients. After I told him I wanted to stop taking a specific medication, he got mad at me and wouldn’t even tell me how to taper off of it. I never went back after that, haven’t took any seizure medication, and have been fine. I 100% believe he false diagnosis patients, as you can see this is the case with the other reviews. This “doctor” is dangerous.

Ive been coming here for years, and this place is a joke, no one answers the phone when you call, no matter how many times you try! And the doctor is too lazy to write a clearance letter to help his patients obtain new employment! Having an office that is closed on Friday is also extremely inconvenient when you have an urgent matter and no one wants to help you! If I could give this place zero stars I would!

Dr.kabbani tried to diagnose me with epilepsy even tho i dont have epilepsy. He spent 5 mins in the room with me and was very rude. He didnt listen to any of my concerns and barley let me speak. When I did speak he would cut me off. He wont treat my neuropthy or my other neurological issues. He completely dismissed me because i dont have epilepsy. He said well no seziure activity on your veeg you dont have epilepsy what do you want me to do for you. I bring up my other issues He interrupted me and said come see me in a year and left the room without hearing my concerns. I can never get anyone on the phone in his office and no one ever returned my calls after multipy messages. Very unprofessional. It seems like If you dont have epilepsy ms or Parkinsons he isnt interested in treating you.

Dr .kabbani isnt even worthy to be called a Dr period. He doesnt care about his patients at all. If he did he would make sure his nurses returned all his patients phone calls. I have MS and because dr kabbani never called me back with an appointment I havent been on any MS meds for 2yrs. Now that I found me another neurologist his office refuses to fax my medical records to my new neurologist. Kabbani sucks period

I had my very first visit yesterday. Dr. Kabbani was very knowledgeable. He is very kind, down to earth, and funny. He listens to what you have to say. He does make jokes but they are not out of line as some people have said on here. Some people are taking him out of context. Don’t take it personally if your a female, he called me Miss America and I thought it was absolutely hilarious! He wants to make you as comfortable as possible. He talks to you like he’s known you for years and he will explain things to you on our level not in Dr. language. Lol! I love Dr Kabbani and I would recommend him to everyone as long as they are not sensitive to his kind of humor. Lol!

Went to see him and he never once called me by my name. He called me Ms America once and Chica a couple of times. He did an EEG and ordered an MRI. On my next visit the same thing happened. He never addressed me by my name..it was very uncomfortable. He sat down and started writhing prescriptions with his back to me and said I had had a stroke and was having seizures. I was in shock and asked some questions but he interrupted me and said If I tried to explain it to you, you still wouldnt know any more than you do now, and left the room. I was the last one left in the office and when I went to check out I asked the receptionist if he was always that short with his patients. She would not answer. I got home and the next morning I thought about it and decided to try to talk to his nurse but was told I could not . I asked if I could try to talk to him again and the receptionist said I would need to make another appt for that. I called and got copies of my MRI and EEG and took them to my other doctors and all of them said they did not read anywhere that I had had a stroke or was having seizures. Unfortunately he is the only Neurologist in Knoxville that takes my insurance. Im sure thats why he can behave this way and still have standing room only in his waiting room. He is rude and unprofessional. I am now without an accurate diagnosis or treatment because I refuse to go to him.If it is at all possible for you to see anyone else, I would advise it.

Staff is very unprofessional period. Did not meet the doctor so I cannot rate him. The appointments were running 1.5-2 hours behind schedule. I witnessed the staff literally arguing with a patient. She gave permission for him. To answer his phone then started being disrespectful to him. That was not a good look. I will not be returning.

First visit, I was very impressed. He was the first doctor to diagnosis me w/ EPILEPSY, (based on 2 abnormal EEGs). He seemed very knowledgeable, & I was super impressed. Thats when things went down hill. He stated me on 1 of the newest seizure meds ( which he conveniently had samples of) & scheduled me to come back in a month. Couldnt take new meds, (reaction), couldnt get in touch w/ anyone at office, they REFUSE to answer phones during business hrs., but thats the only time you can leave a msg! Their VM States they will call back w/I 72 hours!! Enfed up in the ER TWICE, & he wouldnt even respond to hospital page or check on me in the hospital!! Finally get follow up apt.& was seen by nurse, followed by some assistant, who then relayed my concerns to Dr. Kabbani , he comes in the room sits down long enough to write a new script ( for ANOTHER NEW med) & walls out of the room!! I tried to stop him to ask questions or at least tell him what was going on, & he told me I shouldve addressed it with his assistant!!! Biggest complaints: 1) cant get in touch w/ a human at any given time, 2) only writes scripts for the NEWEST MEDS ON THE MARKET, 3) takes more office time to meet with pharmactical reps than he does with his own patients, 4) does not see you in the hospital or take calls from ER,& after hours on call, 5) after first visit, I have seen him 3 more times since and spent less than 7 min. Combined ACTUALLY getting to talk to him about my issues/ concerns. This last visit I was trying to tell him that my PCP changed 1 of my other meds, ( in case it interfered with the new script)- w/o missing a beat, he cuts me off and says THATS NOT MY PROBLEM !! IF I COULD GIVE 0 AS A SCORE, HE DOESNT DESERVE A SINGLE STAR!!
