I have been going to Dr. McMichael for a little over a year. Being new to Knoxville, he came highly recommended, and has exceeded my expectations of a physician in all areas. Being a new patient, he took the time to get to know me, my concerns (My wifes concerns), and what I was looking for as a healthy person seeking medical advice.His medical knowledge and advice is perfectly balanced by his willingness to listen and discern a patients needs.If you are looking for a physician in the Knoxville Area, I highly recommend Dr. McMichael.

I have never had a Dr. who cared so much about my complete health. If someone here is angry because they didnt get expensive tests, then thats on them. He would have sent you for them if his medical expertise considered it important to your health. Dr. McMichael has never throw pills at anyone I know or in my family.He has many years of experience and listens carefully. In 9 years of relationship with Dr. McMichael he has never steered us wrong.He is considerate and thoughtful. Always analyzing what you share.Having lived all over this country, and had many Drs, I recommend him to every single person who is looking for a family Dr. Hes the best.

Dr. McMichael is an excellent physician. I have been a patient for more than 20 years and have always received exceptional care. Furthermore, not only is he an exceptional physician with a great bedside manner, but even more so, shows love and compassion towards his patients.This is a True man of God too. I have attended many visits where emotionally I was in desperate need of not only medical care, but prayer! And he has always taken the time to pray for and with me when asked.I understand people are entitled to their own opinions, however, if someone has any negative feedback regarding this man; I can almost assure you it was not due to him being unprofessional or non-compassionate, but rather the patient being irrational for a number of reasons I choose not to list on this forum.I would recommend Dr. McMichael to anyone seeking to receive World Class care from a physician that takes the time and patience to understand and help address their medical issues and concerns. Dr. McMichaels has been a great physician over the past 4 years. I moved to Family Care when I began doing the right things nutritionally and stopped smoking. The Doctor is a runner, as am I, and understands the needs of a budding late 50s athlete. My wife is also a patient of Dr. McMichaels and believes she gets great advice and care. The office is always very clean, the Nursing and Administrative folks are always very polite, and wait times are reasonable. As an added bonus, there is a Walk-In Clinic in the same building. If I need to see my Doctor quickly, without an appointment, I can visit that Clinic and know that my full medical records are available to the Physician attending at the Clinic. I am very happy with Dr. McMichaels and Family Care and encourage you to consider them should you need or want to change Physicians.

I went to him as a new patient, new to the area from out of state. I brought with me a list of things I had been experiencing. Without so much as suggesting any tests he wanted to throw pills at me. I left in tears! Horrible doctor! Run away if you are sent his direction!

Quick to pill and facility is a nightmare. Took months to get appointments when it used to take a week at most.
