Im going to give my initial assessment of KPA. My experience only extends to a few months as a new patient. The Pros:- There are a lot of doctors who rotate. I think you can probably request a specific doctor every time but they have a lot of doctors available.- They have multiple locations which equates to being open 7 days a week if youre willing to drive to the various locations.- Their after hours nurse support line is nice and helpful when you have questions or are unsure what to do if its not an emergency (but I suspect most respectable pediatrics offices offer this service.)- The doctors Ive worked with so far are extremely nice and supportive of asking random new parent questions.- They have separate healthy and sick areas. The cons:- They try to nickle and dime you over random things. See attached photo requesting they sign my paternity leave document. It was literally a 2 page document that was already filled out. All they had to do was sign it and they want to charge $25 dollars to do so. It seems like petty nickle and dime shenanigans to me. My son is already a patient of theirs. Were already paying substantial sums for 3 - 5 minute visits. This seems like a completely unnecessary charge. Doing petty things like this is always an instant turnoff no matter how good the other services are.I will probably give it a few more weeks and see if I encounter any other ludicrous chargers while researching alternatives.
