I like the ENT Dr. Merwin, his staff leaves lots to be desired though. I was told he was running behind by an hour to an hour and a half upon arrival. Theres no reason they couldnt have called his patients to let them know this AHEAD of time and I was SUPPOSED to have antibiotics and a steroid prescription sent to my pharmacy... But that hasnt been done and I guess I get to suffer through another night with out it. When I turned in the paperwork the only thing they were worried about is my co- pay! I had to ASK for a receipt AND an appointment!! Its sad that this office is run this way. Step it up guys.

I wish I could give Dr. Merwin more than 5 stars. He certainly deserves it. If you suffer from Menieres Disease as I do (or any imbalance disorder, inner ear problems, or any medical problems relating to his specialty for that matter), he is the doctor you want treating you. I have been suffering with MD for years and was treated by some of the best doctors in Los Angeles who simply kept me at a very miserable status quo. Dr. Merwin changed that!! He cares about the details of your case, reviews them, listens to your input & questions, gives you his wisdom/advice for your specific situation AND THEN MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR CARE! He is a Godsend. He is better than the best doctors in LA. And the cherry on top is his staff is so lovely, compassionate, & friendly. I cannot recommend Dr. Merwin highly enough. Thank you, Dr. Merwin, for making such a difference in my care and, therefore, my life. You are a blessing! PS yes, you may wait a bit to see him but thats only because he gives such quality care to each patient-he doesnt rush through like most doctors-he cares! You will get that same gold treatment and be truly helped- my health is SO worth the wait. Yours is too!!!

After years of my son having ear infections and sinus issues and seeing multiple doctors, Dr. Merwin found that my son had serious issues within minutes of our first visit... After years of surgeries and traveling from Bristol to Knoxville, the issues were finally fixed... I feel that Dr. Merwin saved my sons life... He is so compassionate and took the time to get to know my son and make him comfortable under the circumstances... He was always excited to know he was going to see Dr. Merwin...I highly recommend Dr. Merwin to anyone having ear issues...Thank you Dr. Merwin from the bottom of my heart!

I came with a friend whose appt was at 9 am, called main office for 2 weeks, leaving a call back number, to get an address for her appointment, they NEVER called back. Found it on my own arrived on time, waited 2 1/2 hours before she got in. Office is dimly lit and dirty looking. I have not seen my friend since she was swallowed up into the dark interrior over an hour ago, Im beginning to worry if she was eaten by giant bacteria!! She just text from inside and said she was Not Happy!!! A zero would be more appropriate for service.

I wait for weeks to have a appointment with him I had to take off work also had to send employees home to go to the appointment then the doctor was not there they said I could get in line and wait . but you dont show up early they charge you. And also his office called my doctor to tell them .IS There A Ent in knoxville worth going to
