Ive been a patient here for quite a while and would have given a 5 star review up until this week. I had a prescription due wed and went to pick it up but they had forgotten to call it in because of a mix up with my drug screen. I called and they fixed the problem that day. But I also had a prescription which had 2 refills remaining. Walgreens told me i could pick it up today (Fri). But when I called in my refill Thursday evening, Walgreens informed me that Dr Houser had closed out my refills almost a month ago, pending the same drug test apparently. But nobody told me about it and then nobody noticed the problem when fixing my other problem prescription wed. Walgreens told me just to call the doctor and they would fix it. But the doctors office is closed on Fridays and there is no way to get ahold of anyone til next week. Which leaves me without the most important medication I take for at least 3 days. Everybody there, especially the doctor, is wonderful. But the system in place leaves vulnerable patients on their own with no one to even answer their questions anytime someone forgets to check the computer and see if important test results have been done. Its a helpless feeling.

I switched to Dr. Houser a little under a year ago after my current Psychiatrist no longer took my insurance. I have only seen Dr. Houser 3 times, and waited over an hour for every appointment. The first appointment I ever had as a new patient I waited 2.5 hours, and was given excuses by the staff as to why he was late to a 9am appointment which included (issues getting kids to school). I shared my frustrations with the staff, and Dr. Houser. The staff instructed me to make my appointments right after lunch, and he was more likely to be on time. The second, and third appointment I had were no different than the first. Excuses by the staff were made as to why he was late to get back from lunch. As I waited to be seen Dr. Houser finally returned, and his office staff brought him back lunch, and I continued to wait till he was done eating which put my 1:15 appointment to 2:15. This appointment lasted a total of 3 minutes, although I lost hours from my work. I would not recommend this practice, and left feeling like Dr. Houser had no respect or appreciation for his patients time. The office staff was very kind, helpful, and apologetic for his behavior.

My daughter and husband and I began seeming Dr. Houser when my daughter was 7 years old she is now 28. He has been the best doctor we have ever tried. Hes like a family member now after all these years. If it had not been for Kris I really Dont know how my daughter would be today. He has also helped my husband and myself more than we will ever be able to thank him. We go in with the world falling down around us,and leave feeling like he has took all the worries and sress away.

HORRIBLE OFFICE STAFF!!!! Very lazy, rude, incompetent, and EXTREMELY unhelpful. Suffering from a mental illness, and really needed help. Was a former patient. They made absolutely NO effort to try to get me into see the Doctor in a timely manner! Be careful with what they try and tell you regarding insurance coverage as well. I have spoken with my insurance provider on numerous occasions to verify benefits coverage. My plan does not have a copay, and the deductible does not apply for diagnostic evaluation and medication management visits since Dr houser is in network with my current health insurance plan. The lady named Rochelle was extremely rude, unhelpful and unprofessional as I was trying to explain that my particular plan does not require that the deductible be met for these types of office visits. BEWARE!!! They do NOT do their billing in house which is ridiculous for an office this large....they contract the billing out to a third party. Also, I asked if I could contact the billing agent whom I was told was named Trish....so that I could do a three way call with my insurance provider so that they could explain to her my benefits coverage. She actually told me that she couldnt give me that number, that it is not possible for me to speak to the person that handles the billing for this office. She told me that my insurance provider could talk to her, and that she would relay the info to the billing specialist. So I SPECIFICALLY asked her what would be a good time to contact her via three way calling to verify benefits coverage. She advised me that I could call her directly anytime that she would be in the office the rest of the day. I told her that I was going to call the insurance company and that we would be calling her back soon. So, I was on hold for an eternity to get through to the insurance provider who was kind enough to do the 3 way call. Well, when she tried to call the doctors office, she got a recording saying they were out to lunch. Really???? Talk about horrible customer service. She knew the office was about to close the phone line down for their lunch period. Yet, she didnt bother to tell me that. So I wasted an hour because of Rochelle. Oh, and as I was explaining to her that they were mistaken regarding my benefits coverage, she had the audacity to ask me so, do want me to just cancel your appointment?? What the hell??? Why would she assume that I would want to cancel my appointment when the conversation was about insurance coverage. I had been waiting for over a month just to get this appointment. What a jerk!!! Nobody deserves to be treated this way!!! I have spoken to three other people who have also had similar problems at this office. We are considering filing a complaint with the health department as well as the Department of Health and Human Services. They discriminate against people who happen to have insurance through the Marketplace/Healthcare exchange. They need to be put out of business!!

I have a high level of anxiety and my PC physician recommended I see a behavior specialist. A friend recommended Dr. Houser. In the past year, Ive seen him twice and each time it was about an hour and a half wait time. I ran out of my Effexor last week. I called left a message to have it refilled. No reply. I called my pharmacy same day last week and they gave me a 6 day supply. I ran out yesterday. I called the pharmacy this morning and they said they had electronically submitted the request to his office by they havent replied. I called his office. They said that I missed a telemed call back in May 2017. Its November 6, 2017. Ive never received a call from his office letting me know I missed the call back in May. This morning they said I would need to participate in the telemed call. I sdai fine lets do it today. She said hes out of the office for surgery. I asked her how I was going to get the prescription refilled, she sdai I would have to speak to him first. I called the pharmacy and asked them if they could give me a few more days of Effexor until I could see Dr. Houser. They said they would give me one days worth. Im calling my PC physician right now to see if she can call in the prescription. I hate I even started taking Effexor because of the really bad withdrawal symptoms. Maybe its time to wean myself. And before I forget, I will never see Dr. Houser again and I would not recommend him to anyone.
