Our family has been patients of Dr. Barnes for almost 23 years and never a problem. Always friendly and gentle when doing work.

I had previously left a positive review because I was mostly satisfied with Dr. Orwick-Barnes. However, I called the office two months ago needing to book a series of appointments because a vital medication was/is causing issues with my teeth. I left a very detailed voicemail (during office hours) and I never received a return phone call. Sure, I could have called back. But I thought perhaps some personal matter had come up, or that possibly Dr. Orwick-Barnes was at a conference. So I gave them a week. At first I was shocked; then I began to get upset that I was an established patient who needed treatment, and no one bothered to call me back. Dealing with the receptionist Teresa was another issue. For months my dental work that she was “billing” to my insurance kept coming back saying that I had a lapse in coverage, or that I did not have coverage, which is funny because I’ve had BCBS of Tennessee dental since I was 23. I am now 39. After disputing her accusations, and bring in proof; bank statements, official letters, I finally had BCBS call her with me on the line, without her knowledge, and she immediately launched into my not being insured. And BCBS put a plug in all of this but pointing out to her that she was entering my social security number INSTEAD of my BCBS Subscriber ID.
