I came in to Salon Visage after a botched haircut elsewhere. Paige and Sebastian met with me for a consultation and a week later worked their magic to bring my style and color into something far more manageable and stylish. Both took considerable time to clarify exactly what I want long term and made great suggestions. The salon is taking excellent precautions for covid and is incredibly clean and well organized. Every person from the front desk to the shampoo bowl is truly professional and make the experience of a day at the salon awesome. Very impressive and worth the excellent reputation they have in the Knoxville area.

After being sick for 10 months I have lost a lot and don’t feel like myself at all. Going into my haircut I was looking to not only feel beautiful but hopefully feel like myself again. Unfortunately I left with a literal mullet. I am not one to complain and try to see the best in every situation but this is truly the strangest and worst haircut I have ever received. My hair is naturally curly, because of the extreme first layer I now look like poodle. I am not only shocked because I did have a level 5, but also extremely sad and disappointed. Though I personally will never be back, I do hope that she was just have a bad night or something. I not only left trying my best not to laugh or cry but also left feeling even less like myself.

This was my first time going to the salon, I saw Jeremiah, he did an amazing job! He shampooed, cut and styled my hair. I absolutely love it! I scheduled my second visit with him before I left. Salon Visage is the most homey luxury salon - all because of two very special stylists. Ive been entrusting my hair with Kelly (the color specialist) and Teresa (the cut specialist) on and off when Im in Knoxville for over 7 years. They are two of the kindest people I know, and they have bent over backward to help me achieve what I wanted with my hair.As for the other stylists and staff members, everyone is helpful, polite, and friendly. Although Im a 2-stylist kind of girl, friends of mine have been styled by others, and I have never seen anything but glorious hair walking through or out of the salon. Visage offers the best quality products, and every staff member is knowledgeable about them.Kelly, Teresa and I have been through 2 pregnancies, the death of grandparents, and rebuilding a life after tragedy together. Even when its been 2 years since a visit, Kelly and Teresa remember me and my preferences. If only I could bring them and Salon Visage home with me.....

If you’ve been looking for a place you can trust with your hair and a friendly environment then you’ve found it. I’ve been through a few salons and this place is the best in my opinion. From the consult, dye, to cut , it’s all great. They really care about what you want and the final outcome, as well as the health of your hair!Good prices and great service.

The people personalities make this place shine. The gross skylights less so.Crowded and chaotic layout is neither energizing nor relaxing.(Also, the smell of perm solution gives me a headache, and they offer the service here, so thats a negative for me.)That said: the staff all appear friendly and talented.

My experience was awful. Came in with super brassy yellow hair and dark roots. I showed them a picture of what I wanted which was basically platinum. I didn’t expect it to be perfect but I expected it to be at least decent. What I got was bleached yellow roots and uneven yellow and white hair. It was so discolored there was a yellow ring going around my head. Also the hairstylist I booked (stylist that a friend recommended) left halfway through and switched to a different stylist unexpectedly which seemed kind of weird to me. The second stylist kept asking me very concerned when she was curling my hair if I was sure I was ok with how it was turning out. All this costed me nearly $150, so not worth it. Won’t ever be coming back here.

Wow, I just had the best Valentines Day ever thanks to Salon Visage and Marlon!! February 13th was my very first visit, and I went into the Salon with hope and trepidation. Hope because I desperately needed a transformation, and trepidation because I have been horribly disappointed by salons before. I first spoke with Meghan and she was AWESOME. After listening to me she decided that I should be placed with an experienced stylist. My hair was down to my @$$ and I wanted it short. She said, I will put you with Marlon. SO GLAD SHE DID!! He was amazing! I called him Michelangelo because he took something raw and made it beautiful. I felt pretty for the first time in a long, long time. Thank you so much!! My appointment for my trim is already made. LOVE SALON VISAGE!!!!

I am a hairdresser myself. I moved to Knoxville around 2 years ago. Being a hairdresser, I’m always afraid to try a new salon! However, I’m far from home and was looking for a new regular salon in my new city. I first went to SV when I moved here. The haircut by Josh was fantastic. I can’t say enough. The color wasn’t what I asked for, but the colorist immediately fixed it and it turned out beautifully! (After a couple extra hours at my appt) I was ultimately pleased when I left!I went again last week for a cut and color. I had asked for a balayage. Darker up top. Lighter on the ends. I showed several pictures. I wanted a trim of 1-2 inches and showed pics of that as well! I ended up with over 5 inches gone! My color was done first which I thought was odd, as the shape of the hair matters for color placement. However, the person cutting my hair consulted with the colorist first and knew the plans for my haircut. So I thought...ok...that works! Once the 5-6 inches was gone and the cut totally different Than discussed, ALL my blonde was gone from the ends! The haircut is unbelievably choppy! With a huge cliff in between the layers. It looks like I have 3 different haircuts! Also, the top hadn’t had the dark look that I had asked for. So, my colorist scheduled a correction for today. We discussed the correction in detail. My instructions were as follows:I want the dark base to come down a little farther and I want the ends to be light and bright. The colorist asked me if I wanted any blonde going up to the top and I said “if any, VERY minimal” She agreed that was a good idea and said she’d concentrate the blonde only on the ends! I just left for the second time and my hair is ALL OVER blonde. Besides a 2 inch (If that) shadow root at the top! It looks worse than before the correction! As I said, I’m a hairdresser so I pride myself in being able to disguise things by fixing it properly. But I am unable to do that with this. Nor should I have to, considering the money I paid. A woman’s hair is everything in how she feels about herself. I had a baby a few months ago and all I wanted was to boost my self confidence. But I feel worse about myself than I have in a long while! I hate leaving bad reviews and NEVER do it. But I paid $240 (not including the tips both times). And I have never been more dissatisfied. It looks NOTHING like the pictures I showed. I realize that some people have unrealistic expectations and can’t get what the picture shows, but that was NOT the case here. The requests were simple and doable. I’m out a lot of time and money and I am in tears looking in the mirror! Truly disappointed. I have people ask for beauty tips often as it’s a big part of who I am...there is no way I could suggest this place to anyone in good conscience at this point.

After being able to make a last second appointment with Priscilla, I went in a little nervous due to previous experiences with other salons. However, my visit at Salon Visage was wonderful! She took my hair from mid-back length to an under shaved faux hawk and I absolutely LOVE it!A week later I went back to have my hair colored by Lauren. Not only was she super sweet and patient with me, but I couldnt have asked for better results! I wasnt set on any particular design, I only had pictures for color reference. I told her to do what she wanted and thought would look best. She did a gradient-ish rainbow and it came out PERFECT!!

I had my hair done here in 2018 when I lived in Knoxville. I want to get back to Knoxville so bad just to have my hair done again!! This was legitimately the best color and cut I have ever had, and I have had my hair done many many times. It is pricey but SO worth the money.I wish I could remember the name of the guy who did my cut and the woman who did my color :/ I would book and make the drive!

There are lots of talented and experienced people working here. They are taking Covid 19 very seriously right now. Everyone was wearing a mask and social distancing was built in to the overall experience. It was nice to feel safe and relax for once.

I went there just to cover my grey (an all over color). I noticed the grey was not covered very good the next day but could not do anything about it being out of town then my dog sitter had COVID-19. So I quarantined. Anyways, I guess I should have called then. After 3 weeks the gray was completely back. I called to see if there was any options and there was not because it was over 2 weeks. Being a first time customer and not given any options to redeem the cost or fix the problem is very disappointing.

My tech rushed through my appointment and even actually missed one of my nails.

I have been going to this Salon since moving to Knoxville over 2 years ago. Courtney does my color and does a great job. I would give her 5 stars. However, the salon has decided to no longer dry your hair after paying a lot of money to have it colored. This is a service that used to be included in a color. In fact it is part of a hair color in every salon I have ever been. They are saying they can’t do it because of Covid but you can dry it yourself 😳In their salon. This makes no sense and in fact most salons in Knoxville are still providing normal salon services that include a blow dry/style with your color. Unfortunately this will probably be my last visit to this particular salon because of this.

So I booked an appointment for a cut and color. I am happy with my haircut but my color was a complete disaster. I naturally have dark brown hair. I explained to the stylist that my hair dose NOT hold color very well. I have had blonde balayage in the past. I explained I just wanted my baby lights up higher and my more dark on the bottom. My hair is now the blondest it’s ever been which is NOT what I wanted. I showed the woman 2 photos on the colors I wanted and it is nothing like what I got. As I was getting my hair cut the other stylist says “have you always been this blonde” um NO. I ended up crying in the chair and the colorist never came to check on me. I have been wanting to grow my hair back out but now that is not going to happen. I ended up making an appointment with my usual salon to see if they can fix this mess. I am never going to stray away from that other place again or go to salon visage. I just wasted my money, the stylist literally did the opposite of what I wanted (and it’s streaky).

I have been coming to this salon for over 10 years. Teresa does an amazing job with curly hair. In fact, I love this salon so much that when I moved to Atlanta 4 years ago I still came back to Knoxville just to get my hair cut. Normally I would give four stars but today when I arrived in Knoxville I discovered they were closed. No notice was sent out in any form letting me know not to make the 4 hour drive in. I find it incredibly unprofessional to not notify upcoming appointments they are being cancelled. I do understand the reason for cancelling but not notifying your clients is inexcusable.

Gabriel is always my #1 as my stylist and Raven is always my #1 for color! Gabriel has been the only stylist I’ve had where I can go to my appointment and say “surprise me” and he still gives me a hairstyle that I will love! I also love how if I have seen a style or color I want to try he always consults with Raven to make sure it’s doable! Coming to Salon Visage is my R&R to myself and it’s definitely worth it! He is fast, intuitive, thoughtful and has a great vision of what will work and what will not (for each particular client). I have tried to keep hair appointments closer to my home, but no more! It is well worth the time and effort to come to this salon to have my hair done by this very professional young man. Also, very important, my hair will grow out well, which allows me a bit of extra time between salon visits. Did I mention he is super cute? And very funny? I went to have a haircut. When I did the appointment I asked if they do fades and modern mens hairstyles. They say yes! I was so confident but I get the worst dissatisfaction ever. 60 dollars and they do not know how to do fades and have a descent haircut. I do not recommend this place for men haircuts.

Andrew H. has cut my hair consistently for about 6 years now. I am VERY picky about my hair but never once have I been disappointed by him. Allison is the best colorist I have been to in the Knoxville area. What makes her great is not only her skill, but the fact she does not over highlight your hair. I love that she will recommend a single process service when your highlights are still good, which makes it more affordable to keep having your hair highlighted. I love that about her! In addition to being a great colorist, shes also super nice which always makes the salon experience a great one.

I’ve never been loyal to a stylist before I met Andrew. He is the best! He listens to what I want and explains what he thinks will work best for my current hair situation. His product recommendations have been spot on as well, but he is never pushy about buying a product, which I appreciate. I highly recommend Andrew and this salon! I love this salon! I was really apprehensive about finding a new hairstylist when I moved to Knoxville because I loved my stylists at the Kerastase salon in Nashville. Gabriel cut my hair and he did a great job! My hair is long and baby fine so it is not easy to cut but Gabriel got it right the first time. He is also fun to talk to, which makes it much more enjoyable.

My usual hair dresser is no longer working there and I got assigned to Gage. He used his creativity and did a great job. Best cut I have ever had (and I have really curly hair). I have already booked my next appointment with him.

I booked an appointment to get my normal routine coloring and style I’ve gotten for years and when I showed up this time, they told me they couldn’t blow dry my hair. What!? They rudely said I would either have to use their self blow drying station to dry my hair or go home! the whole reason I went there was to get a fresh blow dry and style by someone else, since I had injured my hand and couldn’t blow dry myself at home. Then, they tried to make it up by saying I could just get a new appointment where the blow dry would be an EXTRA COST! No one had a single explanation why they would charge me more to blow dry my hair… when it’s always been added to the regular price?!?! They try to upcharge you any way they can. They didn’t even care to tell me this new change over the phone when I booked the apt… The staff was very uncaring to any of this and super rude.. from the staff all the way to the manager. I can’t believe they would run me out like that after being a loyal customer for years.Pretty sure blowdrying your hair is a NORMAL salon thing and if it’s an operational change because of COVID, then at least have proper notices and communicate this to your customers!!! Their guidelines on the website is outdated (first of all) and they said their blow drying will resume May 26th… it’s now JULY! I was shocked by the level of service they gave me and will not be returning.

This is a great salon! Audrey did a great job on my hair and I enjoyed chatting with her as she worked on my hair. I like the concept of different stations for a cut and color. I will definitely be back!

Colorist showed up late to an appointment that was made in advance and did not ask about what I wanted before hand. I still showed her 3 photos detailing what I wanted. Color had to be redone and I was charged more for their mess up.

I dont write reviews but I felt compelled to do so... I cant believe this place is highly rated... they ripped me off and charged me a a lot of money and Instead, they messed up my beautiful hair! it is by far the worst hair service I have ever had in my life... the hair stylists know nothing... they YouTube for help... and forget dealing with them or the manager afterwards... he is extremely rude and unprofessional and simply won’t care, Your phone calls will be ignored even if you call a hundred times, they will give you the run around until you get tired and give up. This operation is a joke, honestly go anywhere else if you care about your hair and your plans!I cried for days. I swear to God; it’s not about the money... it’s about my hair, my time and my plans! if you don’t want to be in my situation go somewhere else!!!

Dexter did an amazing job! He listened carefully to what I wanted and gave me the best haircut suited for my face and volume of the hair. He is also very funny and down to earth guy who made me laugh throughout my visit. I would def reccomend him.

It was my first time today coming to the salon and I loved the atmosphere! The stylists all know exactly what you need for your hair and will be able to exceed your expectations. I got my color done by Chasidy and cut by Maia, they both knew what would look good and make my hair healthier. Definitely will be coming back!

For last several years Raven has been in charge of my color and she has been spot on every time for producing exactly whatever craziness I come up with!! She is absolutely amazing so much so that my teenage daughter now goes to her and loves her as well!! I couldn’t imagine another person coloring our hair!! She has customers for life!!

Have used this salon for almost 20 years! They are the most professional Ive seen. If something doesnt turn out the way you hoped, they offer suggestions on how to fix it- without charging extra! I cant say enough good things about Raymond and Grace.

Its relaxing, beautiful and the best hair dressers anywhere in the U.S. They have been in the top 25 salons in the nation for years and its no wonder!!! I drive a round trip totalling 5 hours from ky. & all I can say, its worth the drive! If youve not been there, my recommendation is Tara Bruce for color and Marlon for a cut & style. You wont be disappointed.

The salon is beautiful and highly professional. I had Becky do my color and Christian do my cut. They both listened to everything I wanted and brought it to life. I am very picky and the cuts and colors I ask for are far from traditional and more on the edgy side. They both did a PHENOMENAL job and I am so pleased with my hair and the price was only 170 and that included a 15.00 tip to the both of them. I highly recommend this salon.
