Ive been going to Salon Biyoshi for at least three years. The stylists there are very nice. Over the past three years, I noticed that their turnover rate is kind of high. I lost my favorite stylist after a year or so. Then the pandemic happened. After trying a couple of stylists I picked another one I really liked. Then he also left. I called and asked about my disappeared appointment and the management is very rude to me. They actually hung up on me. How can I possible go there again after being hung up on.

Salon Biyoshi is the only place I get my hair done. The salon is extremely clean and welcoming. My stylist Abby did exactly what I wanted! This was the best color I’ve ever had on my hair. I recommend Abby to all of my friends!

I love coming to this salon! It’s super well organized and everyone is so nice. I’ve been to see Abby a few times now and she is amazing with color! She always understands exactly what I’m looking for and goes above and beyond. She’s definitely my go to person for all things hair color and highly recommend her!

As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by a super sweet young lady. She showed me around the beautiful boutique. She offered me a beverage and had me fill out some paperwork since it was my first visit to the salon. Soon after, my stylist, Kayla, greeted me and took me back to her chair. She took the time to listen to what I wanted...and did exactly that. Hannah shampood me and I almost fell asleep in the shampoo bowl 🤗.Its very obvious that they care about their clients. They went out of their way in my opinion to make me feel at home. Kayla did a beautiful job on my hair and has made herself a new regular client. I highly recommend this salon if you want an outstanding experience.

This place is just great. Our 15 year old son finally got a good haircut. Johnathan was very helpful and friendly and gave our son a new look that he has been hoping for. Easy to make an appointment. The staff is very friendly, the little boutique has some very nice clothes and jewelry. Looking forward to our next visit.

We moved to Sevierville in the fall from south Florida so needed a good salon.We drove all hour and visited the salon almost 2 weeks ago…My daughter has very coarse curly hair..So because of her hair I specifically talked to the gentleman north on the phone and when we arrived to make sure they knew how to deal with this type of hair. He assured me both the sailing and hairdresser did.So, as I have done in the past, had KERATIN TREATMENT and a trim done on my daughter’s hair…have had them done before always great results.This time NOT so good…The product made both my daughter and the hairdressers eyes burn horribly…And after the hairdresser was done her hair still felt very dry but figured I’d wait and see. Well after 3 days we washed it as usual. It’s still extremely dry.Also they told us this is an express keratin and would last approx 6 weeks but while waiting I was reading the bottle which says 3 weeks.. when I questioned it the hairdresser assured us at least 6 weeks..Definitely epic fail.. the product DIDN’T work at all.. we spent $178 for NOTHING.. plus spent another couple on product they recommended, even though I didn’t purchase at their salon..On the POSITIVE.. the stylist was a sweet girl 🤷‍♀️Bit WON’T return to this salon..

Before going to Salon Biyoshi, I was struggling to find a place that checked all the boxes. The staff is super welcoming and the place has a nice design. However, the factor that really makes this place feel like home was my hair stylist, Abby. Besides her stunning talent, she automatically makes you like youve known her for years. She always gives me an extra boost in my confidence after I leave, definitely recommend you ask for her when you go!

I always feel so welcomed coming into the salon! Every staff member has an amazing upbeat attitude especially Abby, who also has a lot of talent and skill! Every time I leave I love my hair more than the last time, all thanks to Abby Hudson!

My stylist Jonathan is incredible. I have very fine hair and he knows exactly the cut which will make it look fuller. I have been going to him for over a year and I have never been disappointed.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I have worked in the Spa/Medispa industry for years and this was hands down the worst, most appalling experience I have ever had or witnessed. I was leaving town for an event and was really excited to go with fresh hair! My stylist hadnt booked enough time for my hair, even though I had seen her before, so in rushing through my blowout with her fingers ( she didnt even use an actual brush to blowout my hair, not once!?), she ripped out my extensions I had put in the day before by my extension stylist. It was hurting my head so badly that i asked her to stop and just offered to leave wet. I was upset but just figured maybe she was having a bad day. So I had taken a picture before my highlight to send to the girl that does my extensions, so she could see what they looked like blended, and the $300 highlight I had payed for did not look ANY different than before I had arrived and my extensions were ripped out of my head. At this point I was really upset, so I had called simply because being in this industry, you would think a business would want to please their clients and would want to know this kind of stuff. But no, Devin at the front desk was a complete bully, told me he would have my money in an envelope waiting for me to pick up. Then proceeded to call me a second time to make sure i knew i was no longer allowed back. No apology or anything. I would think being in a customer service role he would want to serve and please customers rather than being rude and handling displeased clients like they are an inconvenience. After this incident I have heard multiple reviews and issues with Devin that were similar to mine. It is such a shame. He is putting such a bad name to biyoshi. They are a waste of time and Money.

I recently had my hair highlighted with Lindsey. I asked for brighter blonde highlights (my hair is a light brown that already had lots of blonde in it). Unfortunately, it turned out looking too ashy/gray. I know this is a style and some people really like that ashy blonde, however, this was not what I was looking for. I called the next day after looking at my hair color outside and in different lighting and asked if it could be fixed to more of warmer blonde, not so ashy/gray. They were very accommodating and had me come in that day to have it fixed. Sarah made the color warmer and I couldnt be happier! It is now the perfect color and the highlights Lindsey did are really beautiful with the warmer color. So basically, lessoned learned, know if you want warmer or ashy/colder blonde highlights because they do look very different and depending on your skin color can look really bad and almost gray.

My first trip to this salon was yesterday, and I was blown away. Super friendly, clean, and professional. Jonathan did my hair (color glaze, shadow root, treatment, styling), and its amazing what a difference he made. The color is exactly what I wanted, and he was very educational through the whole process. Needless to say, I will be back and I recommend this salon to everyone.

Very pleased with my experience at this salon. I went in yesterday after booking an appointment online with a level 1 stylist, the stylist was not comfortable with that haircut and Im happy she knew her limits with what she is able to do. A minor inconvenience that lead to an amazing haircut/color done today by the owner of the salon: Brandon. You can tell he pours his heart and soul into the salon and genuinely cares about his employees as well. They also have a super cute selection of boutique items.Ill be back in 6 weeks 😊

I booked my service online through the Biyoshi website for full color & hair cut ($145). This is $10 more than what I normally pay in Atlanta and New York, where I live so the price was doable. When I got to the counter to pay, the total was $193!!! (Not including a tip!) When I questioned the price, the clerk said she wasnt sure why, but that my hair had been frosted. There was absolutely NO discussion with the stylist (Ashley??) about frost. If there was a price change/deviation from the services that I had booked online, it should have been discussed/disclosed during the consult beforehand. I would have liked the opportunity to decide whether or not I wanted to pay more for that service myself, not the stylist. I felt this was very deceiving, and certainly an underhanded business practice! After speaking with someone else, they had the same experience and no longer use this salon. My call to the salon about the experience was not returned, but I will call again next week. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this salon during future visits to Knoxville.

Loved my 1st appointment here! Staff was amazing! My stylist Taylor did exactly what I asked for with my hair and it turned out great! I will for sure be back! My oldest daughter thats 10 was also well taken care of and entertained and even had snacks while she waited! Overall, wonderful experience and great people!

I received a full balayage from Meghann and she was absolutely wonderful. She was so sweet and professional. She explained everything she was doing throughout the process and what kind of products she was applying to my hair. I also received the best scalp massage I have ever had at a salon. My color is beautiful and turned out better than I could’ve imagined. I highly recommend her!

After moving to Knoxville I struggled to find a good salon. After a particularly bad cut Brittney S. at Salon Biyoshi was recommended and I have been going to her ever since! After she fixed the cut we let it grow out I am very happy. She is not only great with the styling/cut but she is also fantastic with color! I would recommend Brittney to anyone looking for a new hair stylist!

I had an appointment for a haircut and balayage, for $155 that I booked online. My stylist was sweet and I love the color, but the haircut was not good. Its uneven and longer in the front... When I went to pay, the man that was managing the cash register said my total was $177. I simply asked why it went up from what I had booked online and he got snippy with me saying I needed a glaze and I still got a great deal. No one ever mentioned needing a glaze, that it was an additional cost, or if I wanted it, they just did it. I get it, stuff happens and communication isnt always perfect. What really bother me was his reaction to simply asking what the difference in price was from was very off putting. I had scheduled another appointment too, so I would have come back but the way this man spoke to me was completely off base and not how you treat a first time customer.

I’ve been coming to Salon Biyoshi since April of 2018. I have yet to find one discrepancy here. From the excellent staff, comfortable atmosphere, to the knowledge, technique and TALENT of the stylists- it is all absolutely one of a kind. Brandon knows my hair needs better than I do and for that I am eternally grateful!! If you have been looking for a new place for all your hair needs, look no further!! This place is it!

I am writing this review for my wife Song. She had a absolutely horrible experience with her hair extensions. Within a week they started falling out after we paid $1300 for them. See pics. Devin and the Owner were so rude and obnoxious that he told her to go somewhere else to have them fixed. This salon is the worst!!! Do not go there for anything. The lady that did the extensions did not even know how to cut the hair. After Song went back one time she cut straight across instead of slither cut. Songs hair is ruined because of the incompetence of this staff. This is the worst salon we have ever dealt with. They should be closed down!! THINK TWICE BEFORE CALLING THEM FOR AN APPOINTMENT.

Abby did an amazing job with my hair! My hair had turned green due to over processing and dying it a wide range of colors, but Abby was able to get all of it out and restore it, leaving me with a beautiful blonde. She was also very skilled with my hair cut. Over all I am super impressed and would 100% recommend her to anyone!

Abby did a fantastic job with my highlights. The salon also has a great system for protecting against Covid spread. They even have someone opening the main door for people so no hands touch it. I felt extremely safe there.

My Stylist Savannah Lewis always takes the time to listen to what I want done with my hair! My grey’s seen to be taking over and Savannah always takes the time to make sure I have the right colors for my hair not just to cover my grey but to hold and protect my hair. She takes the time to listen to what kind of cut I want after the color and makes suggestions to keep my hair in the best condition possible. Ive been going to Rachael Atkins for about a year now, and she truly is a hair wizard! Ive always been very happy with my haircuts here. Ive been a little bit more adventurous with my hair decisions because Rachael will be completely honest about what will work for me and what wont, or she will let me know how much maintenance a hairstyle will require. For someone who wants low maintenance and has little styling skill like myself she is a gem. Shes also super sweet and I genuinely enjoy our conversations!Every single employee Ive interacted with is genuinely very pleasant and welcoming. As another reviewer said, they do always ask to schedule your next appointment before you leave, but theyre absolutely not pushy about it. Every salon Ive ever been to has asked me the same thing. They do also suggest that you back within a short time period, but Ive never had any push back if I want to go a longer time between appointments. Again, this is the case at every single salon Ive ever been to.Absolutely would recommend this salon to anyone!

I MUST write a review about my experience at Salon Biyoshi, with Mary and Aubrey in particular!!!!! Let me start by saying I moved to Knoxville, TN exactly 4 weeks ago. Well, it had been a few months since I had seen my colorist in Louisiana because of the move, surgery, and one graduating High School. So I did the unspeakable, I tried to color my own grey!!!!! Well, as you ladies know.....that is a ridiculous move, especially if you have a difficult hair color! So I googled hair salons in the area, and Salon Biyoshi was listed. I called the salon and the attention and service I received was outstanding, the receptionists phone etiquette was perfect! She was sweet, informative, listened intently to my situation, and immediately fit me in! The very next morning they were able to see me....oh boy did they have their work cut out for them (no pun intended). They did a color correction, then covered ALL of my grey with the CORRECT color, conditioned, treated, and styled my hair. It turned out absolutely stunning!!!!! So hands down, I have found a salon for me and my three daughters!!!!! Thank you again Salon Biyoshi for welcoming this Louisiana girl and helping her out in a pinch!!!!!! Hugs!

The stylist I worked with is Sarah Brown and she ROCKED the appointment! Took her time to talk with me about what I wanted.....WHAT? Who does that? Sarah!!! We went over how I style my hair, my products and I needed some texture in my life. This lady has some SKILLS, so I sent her a friend that was looking for color & a cut=}

The worst experience from the moment I walked in the door to now......and the lady who answered the phone Pam she is rude and doesn’t care what I had to say . I had hair extensions put in which you all know it’s very expensive. I had to go back a week later because it was uneven the hair Kristen cut it she supposed to slither cut she chopped it you’ll see photos. I then called the salon they had me come back in again. I spoke with Devin and text several times at the beginning he was nice and then his true colors came out rude and unprofessional just like the owners. They want me to come back in and get it fixed Extensions that fall out less than a week five of them. I told him I did not want to cut my hair to get extensions is to have long hair short hair they offered they would give me a deep conditioning treatment they cannot refund my money. I did speak with Devin again yesterday 9-17-2020 which I was supposed to come in today Friday to have her fix it and put the extensions in unfortunately was a mess up on the day I got a call from Davin this morning that he spoke with the owners and for me to take my service to another salon to get it fixed they were not going to the look at the frizzy hair and the bad cut !!!! Or FIX anything else on my hair . unprofessional rude and unacceptable think twice before going out for your next appointment!!You can see the photos of my hair on my husband’s post Greg posted on his review it’s sickening but that’s the kind of service they provide there.Maybe they should close their doors and cut grass to landscaping for service.

Savannah is so amazing with my color she really takes time to listen to what I want each time. The salon is so pretty and clean! but I just wish there were more size options and less revealing clothes in the boutique!

I cannot say enough great things about this place. I was nervous to be switching to a new hair dresser but Savannah took the time to listen to what I had in mind and calm my nerves. The color came out exactly how I pictured it and the cut is so flattering. Savannah is an absolute miracle worker, has so much patience and has got herself a new client! Great, professional stylists at competitive prices for a high-end salon. The owners and stylists take continuing education seriously and stay up to date on trends, new techniques, and the latest styles.UPDATE: I have revisited the salon in the Covid-19 era. The salon is taking every precaution to keep its stylists and clients safe. The building is immaculate with staff cleaning constantly during my hour-and-a-half visit. Everyone is wearing masks and screened before being seen, including temperature checks and mandatory hand washing. Still, all staff and stylists are cheerful, professional, and as always, creating great hair. Thank you, Biyoshi, for all you are doing to operate safely during these difficult times.

It was my first visit to the salon, the staff made me feel really welcome and Kara was a great stylist. She listened to what my needs were, we chatted throughout my visit, she was super friendly and easy going and my hair looks amazing! I cant wait to visit again. 😁

I tried this salon based on the rave reviews from others. I called and spoke with the person about what my needs are and what I was looking for in a stylist. She recommended the person who does her hair to me and made an appointment. The salon is trendy. The shop is cute and the people are extremely friendly. However, the salon felt dark and quiet. Maybe they turn off lights when theyre not super busy. The hair product lines are what I would consider middle tier quality.My stylist was very nice and very young. I explained what I was looking for in highlights and cut. She seemed to understand and was able to do a decent job with the highlights. To achieve the color I wanted she felt a glaze was necessary (as my previous stylist felt). As she did my foils, I noticed that she was only coloring a few inches at the top, but I trusted her to do a good job and didnt say anything. It came out decent looking in the dark salon but took a long time and extra cost for the glaze step. After I got home, I noticed a line in my hair where the highlight color stopped. I paid for full highlights, not partial, and even so, this shouldnt have happened. She should have hilighted to the ends on at least some of the strands.When it came time to cut my hair, it was a poor cut. She seemed unable to cut it even. While she was cutting I kept thinking she would pull both sides and test them against each other for length. She failed to do so and when she said, What do you think, I could only respond that it was uneven. She seemed confused and but tried to fix it. After several rounds of this, I gave up. She did a good job with my small layers, but couldnt get the cut straight. I was very disappointed and knew in that moment I wouldnt return. She was young and probably inexperienced, but if you cant cut hair straight, youre probably in the wrong profession. I have since gone to another salon that has separate stylists and colorists. The colorists did an amazing job on my color WITHOUT a glaze AND cut it straight. She also saw the line from the previous stylist and corrected it. The person who cut my hair did an amazing job and was very on-trend, which I highly appreciate.I would not recommend this salon. True, I have high standards coming from a city with high-end salons everywhere, but I feel like cutting straight and coloring without lines are pretty important regardless of the level of the salon.

Amazing salon! Rachel started coloring and styling my super thick and curly hair after moving to Knoxville a year ago and just love her! Everyone at the salon is super friendly. Really cute retail section for gifts or to pick up something for yourself.

I have very fine, thin hair and Ive always had a difficult time finding someone with the skill and patience to make it look thicker and fuller. My daughter recommended I try Leah because, She is the best! I totally agree...shes great with both cut and color and gives an awesome shampoo.

Taylor always does an amazing job! No matter what I ask for, she exceeds my expectations every time. She is very personable and makes me feel beautiful when I leave. And she takes her time but always gets it done quickly. I will continue to recommend her to anyone and everyone!

To say that my expectations were not necessarily favorable the salon would be an understatement. Very seldom do I find a place that carries itself the way my employees and I carry ourselves. I love to see professionalism at its finest. The young woman that took care of my ladies was fun knowledgeable and patient. We will definitely continue to visit. The boutique is very nice as well. I highly recommend Salon Biyoshi. In fact, they’re the third salon I’ve ever recommended in many, many, many years.Savannah has been my stylist for about eight months, and she is fabulous. I started coming to Salon Biyoshi after a debacle where I went to another salon and asked for a purple hair color. The hair color came out after the first wash and I ended up looking like a dime store Daenerys. The salon that messed it up said they were going to have to charge me to fix it.So, A friend advised I get a consultation with Savannah at Salon Biyoshi, we went through some color options, and we got along swimmingly, so I booked an appointment, it took a couple weeks to get in, but I don’t regret waiting! She’s always done a great job with color blending and she’s very conscientious about her work. She’s wonderful at helping me experiment with color. The nontraditional colors I prefer usually last about three months before I need a full recolor. I imagine traditional, permanent colors last much longer.Once, we had a color session that I had to rush out of, and the color didn’t take nearly as well as it should have. The debacle was entirely my fault, but she basically comped me the session she took to fix it.Now, as far as haircuts, I’ve had so many bad ones elsewhere in this city that I’m nervous to let anyone else cut my hair, but I’ll be taking that step next session and I’ll update then.The other staff here are always lovely and so polite! I’d trust any one person, but I wouldn’t trade Savannah for any of them.

The stylists that did my childrens hair were wonderful. My son has autism and sensory disorders so cutting his hair can be difficult, Jonathan cut his hair and not only was it the best haircut my son has ever had, he didnt complain once. Maddison cut both of my daughters hair and they have never been happier with their hair. She took the time to teach them how to fix their hair for school as well. Will definitely be going back.

I have been going to Salon Biyoshi for a year now. I see Ann and she is fantastic. I love this salon, it is very relaxing and makes you feel like family as soon as you walk in the door. Every hairdresser takes their time before they even touch your hair. They dont do this just on your first visit but every visit.

Some salons say they listen to the customer but Savannah Lewis at Salon Biyoshi really does listen. My hair looks and feels great. Savannah makes sure that I love my hair and plans my next appointment so I always look great.

Kayla Inman, has done my hair for 4 years. She is always done a excellent job on my hair. I always get lots of compliments on my hair!! She is always very professional and goes above and beyond to make her clients look their best.

Best salon Ive ever been to! Very relaxing, clean, artsy establishment with great music. The staff was professional and kind and simply fun to be around. Jessie did my cut and color, and she was phenomenal. I told her what I wanted, and she made sure to ask questions so she knew exactly what to do to achieve it. Fun conversation, but she still worked quickly and checked in with me to see if I needed anything.The atmosphere, the products, and the people: 11/10.Update a year later:Still phenomenal. Been consistently getting my hair done here for a year now, and Ill never leave. Ive had my hair done by multiple stylists here (at least five, just because I schedule stuff at the last minute) and all of them are wonderful. I see Jonathan now, and hes fantastic. My hair is thick and long, which is great, but it means Im the salon for a good chunk of time. But Jonathans so much fun, and such awesome conversation, I dont even notice the time. He always works with me to figure out just what Im looking to do, asks all the right questions, and will walk across the earth to accommodate me.But really, all of the staff so naturally friendly and welcoming, I feel like a celebrity.Salon Biyoshi is amazing. I absolutely love coming to get my hair done here! My stylist is MaCayla and she has always done an excellent job with cut, color, and product knowledge! My hair has always taken forever to grow but in the short time of me coming here it has grown and is healthier than ever. Excellent service all around and reasonably priced, too!

I went for the first time and wanted to change everything about my hair, the cut and the color. Mikaela took her time helping me pick out the right cut and color for me. She was very nice and made me feel very welcomed the entire experience. She took her time applying the color and making sure the cut was just how I wanted it, she never seemed like she was in a hurry. I definitely recommend Salon Biyoshi!

Dont do it... Just look at the pictures. The owner, Mary, did this to me. I showed her multiple pictures and we discussed what I wanted for 20 min. Im just sick about it. Who do you complain to when the owner is the one that messes you up ?

Top notch! Been coming here for two years now. The service is wonderful and the stylists (Ive seen two different ones due to maternity leave) are spot on. My stylist has worked with me through long hair to a pixie and back again. She was great with it all!Relaxing atmosphere, stylish stylists, and refreshments and snacks while you are there.

My visit at salon biyoshi was a pleasant experience as soon as I walked into the door! Everyone was so friendly! I drive an hour and a half to get my hair done because it is so worth it! Today was my second time seeing Morgan! The first time I went was back in September of 2019. I was so nervous then because I had never dyed my hair before. Morgan made me feel so relaxed and did a beautiful balayage on my hair! This time she had an associate helping her, I think Miranda was her name. They were both so nice and made the 3 hours I spent there relaxing and enjoyable! Morgan does an AMAZING balayage! I went a little lighter this time! I also got a deep conditioning and cut. I LOVE my hair! It’s a perfect honey blonde balayage and I cannot wait to go back in a few months to get it touched up. I also really like the precautions that are taking due to COVID-19!
