I am very positive experience today. The stuff is very polite and professional. Im a new patient here, but they were able to see me fast to help fixing the old filling that came out. The staff listens, accommodates as much as they can. Doctor is very thorough, flexible, he listens, communicates well and makes the plan clear. Also has a very good hands.I like that doctor is able to see children, so it is very convenient to have a dental home for all family at the same place.

Going to the dentist is one of my least favorite things. I tried out Totem Lake Dental based on their high rating here on Google search. I was not disappointed.The staff were all kind and professional. They asked me without being prompted if the dentist caused me anxiety and when I responded yes. They made sure to explain what they were doing each step of the way and did their best to make me comfortable.Dr. Trinh was very kind and explained to me thoroughly what his plan for my follow-up treatments should be and what my options were.For my follow-up appointments, their staff member Kayla worked with me each time. She was super kind and certainly was caring about my comfort levels during a somewhat uncomfortable deep cleaning. She also gave me extra numbing agent (forget the name). Due to my red hair which I usually have to ask for. Thank you Kayla!Really appreciate this team anticipating my needs!

This was the greatest appointment i’ve had in 20 years...Dr. Tran took me on as an emergency walk in and he got the job done along with Katrina his dental assistant in no time for an emergency molar extraction. He has good hands and zero pain. I am 41 years old and have had my share of dental visits but by far Dr Tran is one of the best. He is very calm and very quick yet thorough. The extraction took less than 3 minutes and numbing took 5 minutes. The rest of the staff was great as well. 5/5 stars! No pain....

This is the best dentist office I’ve ever been to. Dr Trinh is very gentle, patient, and he explains everything he’s doing. His attention to detail is amazing. He replaced two front teeth with temporary crowns. He patiently adjusted them until they looked perfect. He fit me in Immediately when I broke a tooth, and the repair was seamless. His staff is also great. I highly recommend this office and feel fortunate I found them when my previous dentist moved.

I dislike going to the dentist and getting my teeth cleaned, but everyone at Dr. Trinhs office definitely made the experience much more enjoyable than my past experiences with other dentist offices. From the ease of getting something scheduled with Mariana to the detail oriented gentle cleaning from the hygienist Kayla. Dr. Trinh was also extremely helpful with answering questions on procedures. Dr. Trinh took over this practice and thus inherited me from the previous dentist/owner. I am very happy with Dr. Trinhs work (fillings, new caps, exams, etc...), his thoroughness, and his professionalism. I also want to give a big congrats on all his staff (front desk and hygienists). As an example Stephanie has been doing my teeth cleanings on a regular basis and I am extremely happy with her work.The office is very careful in this time of Covid, which I appreciate since my wife has a compromised immune system (as another recommendation, she also started going there as well).Finally, you wont find a nicer person than Dr. Trinh, and that has translated into a great office staff and vibe.Sadly, we retired out of state, but will continue to go there whenever our travels (and Covid) allows!

I had a wonderful first visit at Totem Lake Dental! I admit that I am quite a picky patient when it comes to choosing my providers. I am usually a bit apprehensive about my visits and have a ton of questions. Dr. Trinh and his staff were so patient and informative. Dr. Trinh especially had such a pleasant bedside manner and never made me feel silly for asking a question. You can also tell in the little details that they really go above and beyond to make an effort for their patients to feel not only at ease but well cared for. Today was the first dentist appointment in my life and i was feeling very nervous but they were very kind and informative with my issue and very profesional as my gums were a little sensitive, and at the end the were able to get me into a payment plan. Overall i felt good and confident i had a great experience and i would highly recommend them.

Honestly one of my best dentist experiences in my life, even in times of Covid. This is my first actual thought out review for any place Ive been to.My first appointment was a regular x-ray and cleaning procedure. They were very thorough and so nice and helpful with making you feel at ease. Dentist appointments can be anxiety inducing for many, and although I was okay, it was nice to know that they would be understanding if I wasnt.X-ray and pictures of teeth were standard procedure/normal, but I do have to add that they were very informative. Andy would sit down and discuss what the damage is and explain how it happened and what steps you could take to promote a better dental hygiene for yourself, all while looking at the pictures from inside your mouth. Nothing is hidden!!The cleaning was one of the best Ive ever had, and the hygenist was so sweet. They would ask questions and actually take the tools out of my mouth so I could answer, which really struck out to me for some odd reason. They would go over the meaning on why my gums are bleeding and why they were inflamed, what I could do to help and answer any questions I had.My second appointment was for a basic 3 fillings (1 front top right, 1 tooth / 2 back top left, 3 teeth). The numbing gel they used did not taste like anything which I really liked. I hate having the usual bubblegum taste in my mouth combined with the texture of the cotton swab. Worst combo ever. They let it rest for a couple of minutes after which the assistant made sure to check I was actually numb before having the doctor actually injected me.I did not feel a n y t h i n g. Not even the pinch the doctor warned me about on my left side.This is the only reason Im even writing this review. Ive had previous dentists that would leave the swab for a minute and then inject me right after. It would hurt so bad that I would actually hurt my jaw from how tense I would get afterwards since I wasnt fully numb yet. And I have to mention that I am usually very good with pain, but my past experiences have definitely scarred me and made me wary of the unique pain that you only experience at the dentist.Anyways, the whole process of the filling and curing was quick and efficient. They even redid one of my first and only silver fillings and filled it with the white. This was such a pleasant surprise that I wasnt expecting it. I thought they would only drill where the cavity was, as my previous dentists have done, in between my teeth but they went beyond that.I am absolutely thrilled to have come here. There is no way I will want to go somewhere else. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is on the fence and/or are picky on the whole experience. You will not regret it!!A special shout out to the entire staff, from the receptionist Mariana who is extremely helpful and accommodating, to the staff in the back, thank you!

Dr. Trinh is a great and gentle dentist. He is always very bright, happy, and friendly which makes the whole experience of going to a dentist much more pleasant and easy. The whole staff is very efficient with their time and always work with your schedule to get you in when you need. The only thing I dont like about this office is that the patient rooms are not closed so you can hear what is happening in other rooms such as drill noises and talking.

I had a really great experience. Great covid-19 precautions. When you arrive you call to be let in. Once inside there is hand sanitizer, a short questionnaire, and temp checks. Little to no wait to start cleaning once checked in. The hygienists are really nice and careful. Dr. Andy is so great, very knowledgeable and personable.

This is a great dental practice. I’m a new patient and am VERY picky...these folks take great care of me. I lost my health insurance in January of this year unexpectedly and they are very sensitive and forthright with fees and services. Our teeth are so important and they teach about proper care...get an electronic toothbrush and floss, floss, floss. Will definitely be back for a regular cleaning program now.

I had been going to my previous dentist for over 17 years, but when he decided to finally retire, I knew I had to find someone who I trusted and was equally as stellar. Each time someone came to work on my teeth, they would introduce themselves and tell me what they were about to do. That in itself is a huge plus because sometimes you just need to know what is going to happen next. I had his dental hygienist, Stef clean my teeth. She didnt just clean, but gave me a lot of tips and tricks to work on for next time! As for Dr. Trinh, there are not enough words to describe how patient he is with me. He has a very kind demeanor and has so much patience for some of my very silly questions. Im really lucky to have found such a wonderful dentist and team that I can continue to go to until he decides to retire (preferably when Im very very old). Having mild Dentophobia from a childhood of numerous cavities, I reluctantly had to pay a visit to redo one of those mentioned fillings. Dr. Trinh and his staff made me feel very comfortable and educated me on my oral health. Back in March, my teenage son had some terrible grey dental discoloration for months after his braces were removed. Neither his regular dentist nor his orthodontist commented on the discoloration so we thought his teeth might be permanently stained from antibiotics my son had taken for acne. Some friends suggested we ask Dr. Trinh for a consult. Dr. Trinh recommended a good cleaning/polishing and whitening if needed. He and his staff were incredibly thorough in explaining our options and what to expect including any side effects and proper after-care. They did a fantastic job and at a very fair price. My son’s teeth are now beautiful! If Dr. Trinh’s office were closer to where we live, we would for sure switch to have him as our regular dentist. This clinic is clean, thorough, uses all the latest advances and Dr. Trinh is very knowledgeable and good at explaining options. Thank you Totem Lake Dental! My husband knowing my fear of dentists, read countless reviews before finding Totem Lake Dental. We have both been going there now for nearly 2 years. Dr. Cho and his entire practice have been amazing! They have completely changed my view on dentistry. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. They not only took the time to explain every detail of my procedures with me, but they always made sure I felt comfortable; and provided me with several options of treatment, when possible. Another thing to note is that no matter the time of day my appointment was scheduled, their office was always so clean and beautiful. I knew Dr. Cho would have someone just as talented and wonderful replace him but, I had no idea! Dr. Andy Trinh has well surpassed any expectations I had foreseen. He truly is an excellent Dentist! He puts his whole heart into his practice and shows care to each of his patients. These guys have fixed over a dozen cavities in the past two years, and Im in the process of having two implants replace a pair of ex-teeth - I have terrible dental hygiene and have been to many dentists, many, many times in my life - and Dr Trinh is the most professional, personable, and efficient dentist Ive ever had. Extremely aware and considerate of what his patients are experiencing. The first half of one of my implants (tooth removed, bone graft put in, gauze screen sewn over the gap) was done by his predecessor, Dr. Cho, and while he was an excellent dentist in his own right, when I compare that experience with the second implant, which was prepared by Dr Trinh a few months ago, the difference was stark. The first one took half again as long, had three times as much pain, and took twice as long to heal. I know part of this is likely due to factors independent of the work done by either doctor - the presence of nerves closer to one tooth than the other and other differences in the structure of my mouth likely had some impact - but honestly, when I woke up from the implant prep performed by Dr Trinh, I barely felt like I had had any Dental work done at all - and that feeling continued after all the anesthetics had worn off. It was excellent work, and minimally invasive.Ive recently had four fillings done - he got them all drilled and filled within an hour and a half, and again the pain level post-appointment was minimal. Id recommend Dr Trinh to anyone looking for a skilled, conscientious, professional, friendly dentist.
