I would not recommend any of my family or friends to this business and they will never touch my head or my childrens head ever again. Not going to bash the owner but just go experience it for yourself and also the owner charged 85$ for big lemonade braids for a child and she kept giving me evil looks making me uncomfortable and unwelcome . Ill stick to what i know by going to my hometown atx for braids going forward . Do not recommend

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!! I dont remember the ladys name who braided my hair but she was very kind and respectful. Everyone was super nice and this is the best set of braids Ive ever had in my life, especially with my hair being so short since I cut it. I called around before choosing a shop to go to and they had the most reasonable prices. I am definitely returning and would like to thank them all again for a pleasant experience!

I went in I showed them a picture of what I wanted at first they couldn’t do it cool no big deal I tell them what I want next and then she starts they don’t have mirrors to see your self as they are doing it so I’m assuming they are doing it right get out the chair and it’s not like I wanted it. I payed and left mad and took it out as soon as I got to my house. This place either needs to get someone who can translate better to them or something because I wasted my money going there to get the mess I got on my head

I called for an appointment and was told that I could come now. When I arrived there were three people getting their hair braided and I was asked to wait. I asked for bohemian braids. I showed the owner a picture and asked if she could braid my hair like the picture and was told yes. I ended up leaving with a totally different style and I took the braids down the next day because the pain was unbearable.

Very affordable and she make you feel comfortable while working on your head and doesnt take all day as well.

They are very sweet just wouldnt recommend them to to braid little girls hair under 10yrs of age because they are a tad bit heavy handed but they braids are very neat.

IF YOU ARE NATURAL DO NOT GO THERE they are horrible at detangling natural hair I was literally in pain and informed the lady I was in pain and how to detangle my hair and she did not follow any of my instructions and pulled my hair out mind you I been natural for 13 years. Most professionals should know how to detangle natural hair but they didnt I will never return nor recommend them because they will have you bald with no edges.

Although they do great braids here....This place is very unprofessional. The ladies are exceptionally unpleasant looking at all times. You will receive no warm smile or hello. When you step in the door its as if you are interrupting them. Also when they give you an appointment time... they do not honor or respect that. Too many other shops in town to put up with such foolery.

It states online and on the door that they open at 8am. The sign in the window is even glowing that its open. But they were not. Now I got there at 805 and waited until 830 before I left. This is false advertisement. They lost my business.

I will say the owner went out of her way to find hair but wasn’t successful . I had to cut the front of my braid off ( lost my hair ) to remove the net off my braid. Also my mother went with me and her scalp was bleeding from the same day of service and we had to remove her sew in ..

Maro is one of the best hair braiders in Killeen. I rarely get my hair braided, but when I do she always makes it last for over a month. My braids are always neat and she doesn’t pull too tight on my edges.

It was my first time going to Discount African Hair Braiding and I was worried about trying a new place. I went to the shop on Rancier ( I was supposed to go to the other location) and she still accomadated me and braided my hair by herself in less than 4 hours. I got medium box braids and they are tight, neat and all the same size. Im very pleased and will be going back.

Got my daughters hair done in weave corn rolls today. The final result was a very unpolished look. Her parts were not straight and the braiding looked like an amateur braided her hair, not a professional...on the positive side, her hair was finished fairly quickly. I read all the 5 star reviews prior to making our appointment and was looking forward to a good experience... they failed. I will not return there. I do not recommend this establishment.

Horrible service. My hair was not done the way I asked, even when I provided her a photo and she assured me she could do the style. I expressed my disappointment to her and the owner. When I tried to have it redone the owner advised me she was in Houston to open another shop and could not redo it until I returned from a wedding I was attending and she would personally do my hair. I was gone an entire week and she informed me i could only get it done on HER TIME which was during the week and not weekend..I called to reschedule an appointment to redo and she informed me she would not not do it because I was unable to take off work the week I returned to work and waited until the following week. Timeline hair done on 6/1 called her on 6/1 and 6/3 went on trip for wedding on 6/5 returned to Texas and work 6/13 and contacted her 6/18 No response and 6/19 she informed me I had my hair up a month and she could not do....I SINCERELY RECOMMEND NOT TO GO TO THIS SHOP, they would have redone my hair if I held onto my money and not paid them.
