Put me on effective AIDS med regime. very caring, fast but listened and staff nice. no problem getting appointments. Seems to know a lot of information on meications.

Dr. Chua is my life changer. I had a liver resection in 2011 and Dr. Marcelo referred me to Dr. Chua for maintenance. I was positive for latent TB which I contracted while working, however it was not contagious it could become contagious so he immediately started me on a 9 month series of treatment. The TB is gone from my system and I continue to see Dr. Chua for my liver maintenance. He has made sure I receive my vaccines and when covid hit he was overjoyed that I had gotten my Covid vaccination from my employment. I am healthy and its a godsend for me to have such a Dr. On my team.

Dr Chua is very knowledgeable. He knows what needs to be done and he gets it done. He might be a little rough around the edges but he is very kind and caring. If it were not for Dr. Chua I literally would not have my foot anymore. He is very tenacious and can be very intimidating but underneath he is a great Dr. I have never met a more determined Dr in my life. The first sign of infection and he has you on antibiotics in 5 minutes lol. Highly recommend

I have been to Dr. Chua, on several occasions. He was my infection specialist when my appendix burst. I was going downhill until he stepped in and took charge of my recovery at the old KGH hospital. He nursed me back to health. I still remember the surgeon laughing when he told me Dr. Chua was going to be taking over care of me. He said hes very thorough. By that he meant that Dr. Chua does a full body exam from head to toe. It can be a little intimidating, but I think that is what is needed to fight some infections. Recently, I had a leg infection and he knew right away how to fight the infection and save my leg. I think he is a very good doctor.

As an RN, I have been taking my ill niece to Dr Chua for several months.Dr Chua is knowledgeable, caring and tenacious when trying to find answers and best treatment for her.We have been Blessed to have him directing her care.Thank you Dr Chua. God Bless you!

More of a generalist about infectious Disease. I’ve had HIV for 30 years and he is by far the worst and least informed doctor on one of the largest sectors of infectious disease. Rude, short, and just pushes pills. I moved to a different Dr and network after 2 visits.

This man has a terrible bedside manner does not fully explain the issue at hand and more importantly wants to Usher you out the door as quickly as possible. his bedside manner I found lacking his compassionate lacking I do not understand how an institution such as Virginia Mason can employ such an individual who clearly has no sympathy for the humans oring how he presents his information. Needless to say this man put me through a lot of emotional distress.

I dont believe my husband would be alive today without Dr. Chua fast action. He even called us a home to follow up between visit. God sent us an Angle 😇 Blessings upon you and your staff.

Horrible experience. Ran tests, results way above normal range, even according to the labs ranges. Told me they were high but would not explain what it ment. Very confusing,rude and absolutely no help.A giant wast of time,and energy.I would not recommend anyone to see him for anything. If I could give negative stars I would.

Horrible experience. Waited 2 hours to be seen and when he entered the room, he answered his phone...several times. I do not feel he pays attention to the patient. I highly recommend that you find someone else.

I had a new patient appointment with Dr. Chua doctor for Valley Fever. 1 tumor in lung and 1 tumor in spine. He spent maybe 5 minutes with me, left the exam room for 10 minutes, came back with a prescription and when i asked if I could ask him a few question about my disease i was told by Dr. Chua that he was to busy and needed to see another patient. A doctor who tells you he does to have time to answer 5 questions should have his licensed pulled…
