Amazing massage!! I had gone to many different massage establishments looking for an effective deep tissue and trigger point massage. None of them even compare to Nelson. Absolutely wonderful!

The minute I walked in I knew this place was special. It smelled refreshing and calm. Shawna was welcoming and friendly. The massage room was awesome with beautiful lighting and relaxing aromas. My massage was amazing. She worked out months of stress and left me stress free. The sugar scrub was decadent, she makes the products herself and they are exquisite. My skin was so soft. I literally felt like I was floating as I left. I will definitely be back.

Arriving at Calming Massage looking around the room at the warm and welcoming environment. Shawna and I had a short conversation on areas of concern such as neck or back pains. For me relaxation, so I believed. While receiving my 90 minute massage from Shawna. I did not realized that I was so tensed. With the room aroma, soft music, conversation and her magical hands. I was able to relax and not be so tensed. A must is the sugar scrub, I would recommend it to anyone, as a man it is nice to have soft feeling skin too. Well worth the price I paid and tip. I been seeing her at lease once or twice a month since June 2016. Shawna was always professional and polite. Willing to work with you on scheduling the best time for you. I will be back.

First time customer, boyfriend bought for me as a random gift. Never had a professional massage before. Had a great experience with Shawna. She made me feel comfortable and super relaxed. The room was dark w/ dim lighting and calming music. I wanted to fall asleep on the table!! I did the Swedish Massage and Sugar Scrub even got to pick out of 4 different scents. I will be referring friends and family to go to her and follow up myself for another appointment. Thank you Shawna!

This was my first massage and it was AMAZING! Everything was explained thoroughly and my expectations were definitely met. The room was so calm and serene and the oils and scrubs she used smelled wonderful. She took her time on problem areas that I didn’t even know was a problem. I will definitely be back.

I have been coming here for a while. Not as often as I would like though. I’m a disabled vet and suffer from Degenerative Disk Disease and have had a neck surgery that didn’t heal well. Between her strength, technique and listening abilities to where it hurts and what I need focus on her skills are magical. The ambiance of the room is really relaxing. I couldn’t give anyone else a stronger recommendation than what I would give Shandrieka!

I have been seeing Shawna on a weekly basis for several months now. I have chronic back and neck pain and require regular deep tissue message to keep the pain at bay. Shawna is so good that I travel over an hour from Amelia Island to her Beach Blvd location because she is THAT GOOD! She never makes me feel rushed. She is incredibly accommodating with her schedule to make sure I get in to see her when it is convenient for me. She listens to me so that I can direct her in the areas that need the most attention. And in addition to all of the aforementioned attributes, her prices are unheard of. She offers a package that if you purchase 2 massages...the 3rd one is FREE. ***Yes, you DID read that correctly*** Who else offers that? And her hourly rates are already extremely reasonable. If I drive over an hour for her message therapy services...you should check her out yourself next time you need a message in the Jax area. She wont disappoint.

I like Shawna. She has a good heart. But she doesnt listen to me. I tell her what I need her to do but she just does the same old thing she is used to doing. She spend way too much time doing some stupid thing to my neck that doesnt help and doesnt feel good and just eats up my time. I tell her to move on but she still spends half her time (and half my money) doing that stupid thing to my neck. I wish I could give her a better review but she just doesnt listen to what her clients need and seems to just do the same thing over and over. I think I am ready to move on to someone who will listen to what I need instead of just doing the same old thing over and over. Sorry Shawna, but you really need to pay more attention to what your clients need.

I just moved to Jacksonville and one of the first things I did was to look for a good massage therapist. It took me over two years to find one in Colorado. I got a Groupon for Shawna and lucked out!She provides a calming atmosphere with gentle music, soft lighting, and the wonderful aroma of spearmint lotion. Her technique is very good, she listens to your needs and requests, and then responds accordingly.I would absolutely recommend her!

I received a text that my appointment was at 2:30. I arrived and there was a be back at 4:15 sign on the door. About 2 minutes before my appointment, the sign was turned around, so I went in. I introduced myself and was told that my appointment had been at 2:00 nand that I could not reschedule. I left and later found the text with the time she had set - 2:30. I sent the text back to her and she called and asked if I could come back. I cannot imagine why I would have wanted to return. Fifteen minutes of my time was gone, she had been rude to me and the place smelled bad, like hair product. Nope, I cannot recommend this place. One star is one too many.

Very pleasant lady. Enjoyed my massageI was in allot of pain and she spent extra time in me and went over by 15 mins to try and make me feel better. I booked a 90 mins deep tissue and I know that is allot of hard work going deep into muscles and she was really concerned about my pain and tried to calm the muscles down so I could drive home. I have been to Calming Massage several times. First for the massage /c scrub which I bought on Groupon. I am a typical Groupon shopper - buy the cheap stuff and dont return. This time it was a real return because the massage is so awesome. I always get a 90 minute massage when possible as I find /w a 60 minute massage, I dont enjoy it as I should because Im always thinking it will be over too soon. :)) I am a retired nurse /w lots of back problems, arthritis, lumbar stenosis and Fibromyalgia so oftentimes I find massage painful but Shawna is very mindful of this and I really appreciate that. I am committed to trying this massage every other week to see if routine massage makes a noted difference. The only downside is it is a little hard to find the FIRST time but so worth it. On Beach Blvd just East of 95 on the left behind Dunkin Donuts. The massage room is quiet and peaceful and has a heated table which I love. You will not be disappointed!
