Great for facials. Membership is worth it but have to use it. My esthticain, Cindy is amazing and knows her stuff. Always happy to see her and front desk staff.

Very relaxing environment and really kind people. Macy did an amazing facial. So attentive to my skin care needs throughout, tailoring the facial to what was best for me. She truly cared about helping me get into a good routine with my skin but not in a pushy upsell way - she only recommended what was needed and gave great advice. Had a five star rated facial from their esthetician Macy who gave me an incredible Dermalinfusion and Nuface lift. She took the time to educate me about my current skin conditions and what I can do to rehydrate my skin. Greatly appreciated that because I was completely oblivious. I will most definitely be back to see Macy and highly recommend scheduling an appointment with her. It’s only been 24 hours and I can already notice a difference in my skin. Feel like it’s glowing!The facility was clean, comfortable and the ambience was calming. You can tell they are detail oriented and it’s appreciated. I also like how they have text alerts for their appointments. Be aware you will need to arrive early to fill out their paperwork if you do not do it online prior (like me, ha). The only reason they aren’t receiving a five star rating is because I felt like the front desk staff was a little pushy in their attempts to up-sale immediately upon arriving to my appointment. After reading other reviews, this seems to be a common problem. Aside from that, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and look forward to my next facial appointment with Macy.

Hands and Stone Massage and Facial is my personal favorite and they never disappoint. The Massage with Hot Stones is the best Ive ever had and Ive been to Spas all over the World. I recently relocated to Jacksonville and discovered this gem as I drove by. After reviewing the website I realized it was very similar to a favorite spa in Natick, Massachusetts. Based on availability, I chose a therapist knowing nothing of her background or skills. Emily did not disappoint! Her pressure was consistent and addressed my needs. I would definitely see her again!

I couldnt tell you the name of the lady who gave you the massage I want to say Sarah but I could be totally wrong regardless she was awesome a mixed I believe I believe. She found so many spots in my body that I didnt even know where sore, I couldnt believe it I didnt realize how mad my back was I would totally recommend this place and as soon as I get my next day off Im going back for sure.

This used to be my favorite place to go for a massage appointment. Over the past months the receptionist provides the worst customer service. Theres never any appointments available. They dont have too many massage therapist that give firm pressure. I was a member and I canceled my membership due to the lack of care to customers.

I like the other lady canceled my membership in July of 2020 and found that in January i was still being chaged. So i asked how many massages do i have waiting. The lady said 6 and $20 Twards an add on like feet and hand massage. I said great. I would like to schedule a massage with the hand and foot add on and then a facial after that. The lady said great. The Sunday before my appointment i got a call saying that they cant to the facial because it was schedule for 30 minutes after the hours massage started. And that if i wanted to just come back later that day they could do the facial. Then skip to the day of the massage i go in get the massage and they make me fill the paperwork out again and i put im here for a relaxing massage , i end up getting a deep tissue and when I came out they also told me the hand and foot massage add on was $30 extra...what happen to my $20 towards a product upgrade. So i paid and left but was very unhappy

Booked a one hour deep tissue Massage with hot stones. No hot stones.. The therapist literally said “oops, my bad, I forgot”. I thought she was saving the best for last until she said the session was over. I’ve been here several times before with great results. Never again. Even the “massage” was lackluster at best. $132 wasted. Save your hard earned money and go anywhere else!

I had never had a massage before so naturally I was a little nervous. I felt so comfortable and well cared for I was actually able to relax. Big shout out to the staff there they are absolutely amazing!

Good business model, but beware when you signed up, they make it so hard to cancel your membership.I recently just got pregnant and in order to use my package, I have to have a doctor note, so I asked to cancel my membership on the phone. The attendant told me she will send me a form to my email, I have to fill in then send it back to them. Then they will charge me 1 more month and I have 90 days to use all the packages which I couldn’t use in the first place.Well I never received the email. I called back, the lady wrote down my email incorrectly, I asked her to change it. She said she will and nothing ever happened again. Not to mention, they put me on hold and asked me to wait for a moment then let me wait for 15 mins at a time and never got back to me. I had to call back multiple times to try to get to them.Frustrated, I personally went to the location close to my house just to found out that the lady never changed my email. Also because I didn’t sign up at this location, I have to contact the location I signed up at to cancel my membership. So now I have to go through the whole process again with a different location that no one told me in the first place meanwhile they are charging me every month for packages I can’t use.So when they tell you “oh if you signed up for our membership, you can use it at any of our location”, they make it so easy to sign up, please keep in mind that it’s not that easy to cancel your membership. You paid $59/month for what you thought an hour massage a month turned out to be just 50 mins cause they gotta get set up and all. It’s def not a good deal and a rip off. Some of the masseurs talk your ears off the whole time. Very unprofessional! You better off just pay for what you use and not sign up for anything. I hope this review save someone else the trouble I’m going through.

From the people that answer the phones, to the ones who check you in and out, to the aesthetician that sees you, their level of professionalism is outstanding. I came in for a facial and I had 3 packages on file since they had been closed. I was offered to upgrade my service. I agreed but figured I was using some of my other package or just one of the other package. I was not told that the treatments used on me would take all 3 packages. If I had been told this, I wouldnt have agreed to the extra services. I wanted to use one for a massage but I cancelled my massage appointment because of this.

Trying to book an appointment will leave you more stressed than you already were to start. What is the point in having an online scheduling system that holds your appointment for 10 mins while you complete the process only to have error messages and then tell you the appointment is not available.

Try a different location. I had a membership but cancelled prior to it expiring. I had about 4 different masseuses in 7 months because the ones I liked kept leaving and had to have appt rescheduled multiple times due to staffing. I should have found out where they went. I had a masseuse that smoked, nice having smoker breath being blown on you. I also had a masseuse arrive 30 min late, car trouble, okay I get it but when I had to wait 15 minutes past my appointment another time for a session that ran long, I left right then and cancelled and for all my trouble they said I still had to pay for two months for cancelling when they are inept at running shop. They recently ran a deal to have past membership come in for a 19.95 massage. I scheduled and was never asked for anything other then my name. I mentioned I was using their mailed coupon and mentioned it. Receive call next day asking if I was using a gift card, NO. They called again later in the evening, oh by the way we need a CC to hold your reservation. Stated I would not give them my card info over the phone. Incompetent staff, dont feel safe giving out my cc information if they apparently dont know what to ask and when to ask when making reservations. Go somewhere else.

I’ve been to several different Hand & Stone locations and this one is by far the best!!! I always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. The atmosphere is friendly and peaceful. I’m always greeted right away and asked if I would like a water. They go above and beyond the other places I’ve been. I recommend this location to everyone even if it’s not the closest to them. I’m so glad I found this gem of a spa.

I have been getting massages here for about two years and have NEVER had a bad experience. I am always able to get in on relatively short notice (you never really can predict when you’ll “need” a massage....), and the staff and therapists are all friendly and professional. Another bonus: my regular therapist talks about how well she is treated there, which helps keep me coming back. If you want to do good business, start with treating your employees well!

I have been a member of Hand and Stone for about 5 years. I joined when I lived in Orlando and saw Christina, she was wonderful and I never had a problem with anyone or anything.Then I moved to Jacksonville. I have had problem after problem at the Atlantic Blvd. location. Between scheduling issues and the staffs constant turnover, Ive threatened to leave more than once, but convenience has kept me there.For their Christmas promotion I purchased a package for my friend and in return I got a package free. My friend called to schedule her massage today and was told she could only have a 50 minute massage rather than the 50 minute massage AND 50 minute facial I had purchased for her. I was told the reason was because during my facial the beginning of the month, I used part of her gift card. If I only gave them MY gift card, how could I possibly have used hers?Asa, the manager, was truly one of the most condescending people Ive ever spoken to. Her solution? I could purchase another gift card for my friend since I wasliterally the only person there has been a problem with .She went on to say most members used the gift cards for themselves, so why should I be any different.Ive gone in for appointments to be told there was no one there to perform a facial, but they were hoping their new people would be trained in a few weeks.Tonight was the last straw, Im canceling my membership and will be going elsewhere. I received an email this morning, this is what it said,Good morning Jayna ,We were emailing you to let you know in order to cancel it has to be a your home spa. The spa you were at in Orlando .Thank YouHand&StoneIve been told by several of my neighbors to try the spa on Beach Blvd. I have not choice but to go there, even if to cancel my membership.This place is a joke and they have no idea what customer service is.

They said they called the night before but we have no missed calls from them.We drove there only to be told that unfortunate news. We ended up rescheduling despite that now we have separate times. The ladies at the front desk were super nice and explained how their facility works, and Amanda who did my massage was amazing! She was super sweet and did an awesome job, I had a huge headache that day and she was able to focus on my neck, shoulders, and back to help me out with it.My only complaint is that massages are so expensive, otherwise I’d be there every week!

Normally they do a great job but the girl for my last appointment only worked part of my back mussels leaving the other part tense. leaving my back sore for days and had to talk lots of Ibuprofen to get through it! not happy with them at all!

This Spa was very clean. The front desk associate was very calm, welcoming and friendly. Her positive attitude set the tone for my entire experience. Christian was my massage therapist. He is a calm, knowledgeable and skilled therapist. After my session I checked out with ease. I will definitely be back for more sessions!

Ive had a membership here for awhile, but recently the massage therapists have all been leaving. Ive had to rotate to three different ones lately, which is giving me an inconsistent experience. Im tired of having to explain what areas I need work on, how much pressure, etc. every time I come in. Ive also had issues with the staff rescheduling me to another person without telling me, moving the time because the person who booked did it wrong, and other issues. Im not sure whats going on with this place anymore.

I was very happy with the massage, Kiandra was fantastic.I was unhappy with the service desk team as my wife and I had received gift cards as a present for Christmas. We scheduled the appointment online. We received our massages, and were happy. When we went to check out the service desk informed us that one of the cards was a promotional card and was not eligible at the location, and insisted on us paying $60 for the massage. The card did not indicate the location of purchase. How would we know where the gift was purchased?We did not pay, they compt the massage, and informed us that we cannot book a massage at the location moving forward.Bad customer service, good riddance.

This place really seems to be a scam- my wife had membership package and they always seemed to find a way to take extra credits from her or expire massages even though they were paid for in advance. Skip the franchise model here and go for the locally owned spa for massages. They would most likely care about your experience and return business more than Hand and Stone.

I requested Destiny today for a deep tissue massage and she was beyond professional. very attentive to my focus areas and helped me feel so much better. She is truly an amazing therapist and will recommend her to many. Not only was the front desk amazing but she really followed through with the service and assuring 100% satisfaction of my treatment. I went in for a facial.. t was good experience. Did the monthly subscription for a couple of months, but since Covid 19 it didnt make sense to keep it so I canceled.

1st time hear and I enjoyed my massage. I felt great after leaving. The staff is friendly and professional. Its very clean and relaxing atmosphere.

The last few times I scheduled with them I got called to cancel or change my appointed times due to their inability to properly set up appointments. Though the massage and facial services are great, their scheduling is very unreliable. The last time I tried with them, they called 20 minutes before my appointment to cancel on me.

Kasia is so amazing she has not only relived so much of my pain that no one else has been able to but she also gives me so many at home tips to help myself between appointments. My appointments leave me feeling so much better and I’ve finally been feeling myself again now that I’m not suffering from migraines. I will keep coming to her for a very long time. On top of all of the greatness she has a nice firm pressure that is absolutely perfect!! Thank you for fixing me!!

My introductory facial was very informative. I felt it was more of a sales pitch than a full hour of relaxation. That part was disappointing yet must have served its purpose. I chose to upgrade with the microdermabrasion. It was something I had been wanting to try.

Great massage like always from Giselle. She is the best. My daughter and I have been using her for about a year and won’t go any place else.

The staff at this location is absolutely phenomenal. Id arranged a special scavenger hunt style Vday for the woman of my life and the cooperation of this team made her experience that much more memorable. They even took pictures for her! My expectations were by far exceeded. I was super impressed and pleased with all of the staff. Everyone was very knowledgeable of all aspects of their job and were able to answer all the questions I had. Gesselle was my massage therapist. After trying to find a masseuse in Jacksonville that was worth going back to, I have finally found one. She was amazing. She was able to tell me the exact muscle that was hurting me, asked questions to find out what caused it, and was able to tell me what I needed to do to help it during my week to help prevent it from hurting. Not to mention the hot stone massage was awesome! I highly recommend this location and Gesselle.

I attended massage school (out of state and Im currently non-practicing so no favoritism here) and Ive been getting regular massage for about a decade now so you could say I know a quality massage from one thats sub-par.Austin G is my therapist here and I have to say he is a truly remarkable, exceptionally gifted therapist. Not only does he give a completely customized massage every time but he even shows me a stretch or two each time so that I can keep my body running more smoothly in between sessions.Whenever I hear a friend is in pain or needs a massage I send them here.

I went here on a gift card. It was a special treat and not something I can normally afford to give myself. The massage was very nice and professional. I was walking out feeling relaxed until I got to the front desk. My massage was supposed to be free (with gift card), but they misunderstood and booked me for a different one, so I had to pay the difference. What really annoyed me was the sales pitch at the end about becoming a member. When I declined, the salesperson asked why, as if that is any of her business! I felt judged when I told her it wasnt something I could budget for on a regular basis. Then she proceeded to ask me if I wanted to go ahead and set up future appointments. I understand the need to push sales, but all this pushing made me frazzled when I left, instead of relaxed. I did not like it.

Monica was amazing, what a truly talented massage therapist, shes got the BEST technique Ive experienced in my life. I went in there in pain and she worked it all out of me. Im going back next week.

This place would be a 5/5 if they got their resourcing in line. The massages are wonderful but appointments are sometimes difficult to come by (especially if you want a female therapist- make sure to call four or five days prior). As a member, I would expect them to have more availability.

My Destiny is great -- knows how to get thosetight neck and shoulder muscles back in the relaxed mode!! Highlyrecommend this location -- which is clean, quiet and hospitable!

Ive a Hand & Stone membership for a little over a year now, and I absolutely love the services they offer. The membership is great, too, because​ the points I earn for scheduling my next spa services at the end of my session, having spa services done, inviting friends to join me for a spa day, and buying gift cards (usually during the seasonal specials). All these points add up for free spa services, which is awesome! Now, thats all stuff you can get from any Hand and Stone location. Why do I like this location in particular? Patty (female), Destiny (female), and Christian (male) all give amazing massages. I get dreadful migraines most days, and I know that whenever I have a massage with one of these three, Ill walk out of my appointment much more relaxed. The tightness in my head, neck, and shoulders will be gone, and Ill likely fall asleep right when I get home.

I had seen ads for this place, so I thought I would go in. I called in the morning and was able to get a ten am appointment. Everything seemed good but after being there for twenty minutes, a staff member told me they had to cancel my appointment because the masseuse didnt show up. I asked if there was someone else I could see and they said no they were fully booked. For my first experience at going to a spa, I am very disappointed and will never go back

I booked a massage with them (that I unwillingly had already paid for because of THEIR mistake beforehand) and when I arrived for it, they would not acknowledge my appointment! I even showed the lady at the desk my reservation, time, place, etc in a confirmation email that THEY sent me. After all this, she literally looked at me and said Im sorry we cant help you. I have never had a good experience with any of their locations. Youd be better off at Massage Envy.

I had another massage the other day and it was just as relaxing, enjoyable, and professional as the first one I ever had from Hand and Stone!My first experience came from receiving a gift card as an incentive with my company. I decided to schedule it on a whim, I have had several massages from various companies and therapist in Jacksonville. There was ALWAYS an issue with each experience. The most recurring of incidents were lack of professionalism, technique among therapist, cleanliness of facility, and the pressure of sales at the end after trying to relax for an hour. I was skeptical of setting foot into this facility because I thought it would be the same experience as my previous ones...From the moment I entered this location I felt welcomed and calm. You know that feeling when you enter a family or friends house after not visiting for a while? Things feel familiar, warm, and you are welcomed with open arms. Its a great feeling to have and this is how I was received when I first visited this establishment.The ambiance was soothing and my therapist was ready to see me within minutes of entering the facility. Ive had to wait ages before when it came to seeing a therapist, people just dont have time to wait 30+ minutes when scheduling appointments weeks or months in advance.The massage itself was excellent and my Therapist Patty, was in tune with my bodys needs as she melted away the tension and knots in my shoulders. She took extra care to make sure each area of my back was thoroughly worked and would not move on until she was satisfied with her own work. She would ask quietly every few minutes how I felt to make sure my comfort level was at its optimal peak.Wow! I thought as I finished my massage, this place cant get any better! boy was I wrong. I headed for the lobby and suddenly a sinking feeling hit me. That one where you know your going to have to tell someone something you know they dont want to hear, but they are going to persist to ask several times anyways which makes you feel awkward or bad.I began to proceed with my checkout and was preparing myself for the onslaught of sales speech. I work in a profession that is highly reliable on selling people services, so I am familiar with many different techniques industries try to use. Most of them only focus on why their product or service is better than x,y, or z. They never focus on their potential client or what may be in their best interest to make them happy. To take off their seller shoes and instead step into a buyers shoes.Instead I was greeted again warmly by their receptionist Amy and she proceeded with my checkout. There was no mention of joining their club or pushy sales tactics. So being curious, I asked how much it would be to come back for a second massage. Amy kindly handed me a brochure and asked how I liked my experience. She then asked what I specifically liked about my particular service that day. She then simply highlighted the areas of the club membership that may interest me as we casually chatted. There was no pushing me to receive some sort of incentive for signing up today or you have to do this or youll lose out speech. She went over their flexibility, monthly payment system, and cancellation policy (which is really excellent, no contracted time of service, 1 final payment and 90 days to use your massages youve paid for...cant beat it!). She asked if I wanted to sign up after answering all of my questions and I just laughed because I was on the fence. Then who I presume was her manager walked out from the back, Oh no, here comes the sales now I thought...NOPE. She simply said thank you so much for coming in today, we really enjoyed having you, and please let us know if there is anything we can do better in the future.That sealed the deal for me! What made me even happier about my decision to join the club was receiving a hand written card 2 weeks later.Hardly anyone hand writes anymore...this place is exceptional! I hope everyone has as wonderful an experience as I have.

Ive been a client of H & S for two years and have been seeing Renee for the last year. My fine lines are less noticeable and my face is much more hydrated.

I have a monthly membership that I can put on hold up to 90 days a few times a year. I work in childcare so its nice to unwind and relax. Only reason I did not put a 5 star is twice I have found a therapist I liked and then when I went to rebook with them I found out they left. So far the one I have now is still there.

And every time on the date of the appt they would call me and said “your therapist is sick” I mean this is like the 3rd time they reschedule our appt. my fiancé hurt his back and he really need to get in for a massage. Btw The phone girl was super rude too. They don’t care about their customers. Pls don’t book with them if you want a couple massage, because it will most likely be cancel on the day of the appt. this location is inconsistent and they don’t care about their clients. The only reason why I’mStill coming here is because my fav therapist is here. But when he’s gone, I’ll never come back.I will book with the hands and stone on Jax beach for my couple massage. The one on Jax beach is way more organized and their therapists never call out on your appt date. I been a client with this location for serval years and I come in every-week but they still treat me like trash. What a disappointment!!!

Have experienced both average and above average massages with my monthly package. Staff and therapists are very nice and attentive. Overall a good experience

I scheduled an appointment with Duncan for 730. At 425 Katie called and left a message asking if I could come in at 6pm instead. She made no mention of the fact that Duncan was not available at the scheduled time. When I arrived at 715 as requested Katie said she called several times to let me know that Duncan wasnt going to be there at 730. As stated earlier, my call log had one (1) call and none of that was mentioned. I am extremely displeased with the treatment I received. Another firm will get my business and my membership!!!

Oh my face. Never had such a microdermabrasion and only 40.00. Run to St. John town center, ask for Maj and take years off your face & neck and repeat weekly

I have suffered from Plantar Fasciitis for almost a year. Tried wearing special boot... sports tape... even acupuncture. Then I went in for a regular massage... thats when the therapist (Sally) said she could help me. Amazingly enough she has relieved all my pain after a few sessions. Cant express how much I appreciate what she has done for me.... anyone who has ever had Plantar Fasciitis knows how painful it is.... Thanks Sally!
