I have an objection to their refusal to provide Covid vaccination status of their aestheticians even when working closely with a client. We should be concerned about health status of BOTH the client and the service provider. I didnt feel safe here.

Ashley at the front desk and Jill/James for massages have us the best experience weve had at a Hand and Stone. Ive been to about 4 different locations now, and theyve all been good, but this one stands out. Very attentive and friendly and fixed problems I didnt even know I had! Highly recommend.

Best facial I have ever had! Lindsey made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. My skin has never looked better. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Services are a little pricey if you dont get the membership. The facility is very nice, though. Customer service is always friendly. Got a massage from Bronson. He was very professional, and didnt talk too much. Deep tissue could be a little deeper. Good experience overall, though.

After my massage, my therapist disappeared and didn’t even wait for me to come out of the room. I was told she went on her break, couldn’t take the time to walk me back to the front.

I love going here for massages. When I asked for a deep massage. I was worried they wouldnt be able to actually press into my muscles. But I was definitely wrong. I remember a few times I went here and I ended sleeping cause it was what I needed. I woke up pretending I wasnt asleep but im pretty sure he knew haha.

Not ever going here again, I got a promotional email saying “we miss you come in and book at the rate of $59.95” the link was sent a couple weeks ago but I was able to clink on the “book now” button. It let me schedule and put my credit card in. A few hours before my appointment I get a call saying I cannot do that because it is an introductory rate and since I’ve been there before I can’t use that and she doesn’t know that email. The link should have said expired or what not. Obviously if i am getting emails with my name the system knows I have been there before. Very unprofessional and the rate should have been honored. I will stick with message envy from now on.

I went last Friday. The therapist fell asleep 3 separate times. She was massaging my arm and was sitting on a stool and leaned against the bed and the massage starts slowing down and then stops. I open my eyes to look and she is sleeping. I move around and she restarts. Same thing happened with other arm and my neck, she was sitting down all three times that she fell asleep. Guess she had a late night?? I was told that the manager would give me a call and have not received a call and was charged. I even called back and was told she took off the weekend for “family time “ and would call me at the start of the week. No call and they charged my account. Absolutely will not be back.

I had a 615 pm apt today. I drove to the apt an ,when I arrived they said I received a call from my massage therapist an she left a message ..I never received one .but I got text messages on confirming my appointment twice just before my appointment time today so why not text me for a canceled appointment??this was to be my first appointment under a monthly visit for a massage ,I asked about returning my payment ASAP an I told them I’ll not return to this store.I hope I really get my payment back .poor business.

Sweet Brea did my facial and did a combination of mask for my problem areas she knew exactly what where and why everything went where it went. Which gave me ease with her knowledge and experience I was in good hands. She continued with her professionalism by maintaining conversation which made her so relatable. She is truly one of a kind and has a customer for life. She made a few suggestions to help clear up my skin and give it that glow look and I’ve already seen a difference not even a week after.The facility was nice and clean. Seen staff cleaning multiple times while I was only in the lobby maybe 10 mins before and 10 mins after checking out. Over all wonderful experience.

The massage and facial were both good.However, it was pricey because they didnt have any discounts available.Also, they keep pushing the memberships.I constantly explain I live out of state and I dont want the membership. I already have one where I live and I pay less for the same services! They still want me to purchase a membership anyway. So, the next time I visit, Ill find another massage therapist and esthetician.

Services were really well and Miss did an awesome job...literally put me to sleep. Very peaceful environment and clean, professional place.

I booked an appointment online, confirmed, and placed a card on file. Received a text to confirm two hours before my scheduled appointment and promptly replied to the automatic text. Only an hour before the appointment I got a call stating they had to cancel because the therapist wasn’t coming into work. They stated they tried to call but they never did. Staff was unprofessional, if you’re looking for someone to actually do business with go somewhere else.

Great service just impossible to get a weekend appointment on a membership.

Overall my experience has been great with H&S but this review is specifically for Brea. She is phenomenal! I originally thought I would use my membership for mostly massages but after 1 facial with Brea, Im hooked. The dermalinfusion is life changing and she does a great job communicating the process and the benefits of each step. She even recommend skin products that matched my budget. 10/10 recommend her for your next facial!

Ebony was my masseuse, kudos for a great job. After explaining what was sore and how my past experience in a massage went, Ebony knew exactly what to do to work out my upper back and shoulders. I would totally recommend her as your masseuse and yes I’m going back. I wanted to wait until the following day before I left a review, because the last massage I got had me sore for days, with Ebony I felt the tension relieving and I’m not even sore the day after. This is how a massage is supposed to go.

The hot stone massage was exactly what my body needed. You must try it!

I have a prepaid monthly service and it has been impossible to get them to actually give me that service. Scheduled 2 different appointments in a single week and both were canceled 2 hours or less before the scheduled time. If I would have canceled 2 hours before they would have charged me 50% of the cost of the massage. I called to speak to the manager 2 different times, was assured both times that the call would be returned promptly. 1 month later and still no call. Decided to go to the Mandarin location even though its much further away from where I live. Service there has been great. Do yourself a favor and choose a different location.

I am a member here and I don’t use my membership so my massages get accumulated and they don’t give you a refund on top of that if you freeze your account so that no more massages get accumulated they charge you $10 per month as freeze fee. Is this you guys call fair business? No refund and to pause me from being charged $59.95 a month I have to pay you $10/month. Ridiculous!

I had a membership that I used for 3 months, but paid for 4. The massages were underwhelming and I found a better place, so I canceled. The late cancellation was their fault, since the cancel my subscription information in the emails does not work, or nobody checks it. So when I called asking why I was charged after trying to cancel online, it was impossible for the associate to retroact and I agreed to just come in for one more service. This was in February right before Covid, and they shut down until June, but apparently my extra service expired. It was cool to spend $60 on nothing. Cool trying to cancel through their relentless daily emails. And even cooler that I STILL GET THE EMAILS. 2 stars is only because the associates are relentlessly friendly at least. Go somewhere else.

I had a wonderful experience with my massage...I didnt have to say one thing to my therapist to adjust the pressure or anything it was perfect..She listened to all my requests and followed threw. I was so relaxed it was one of the best massages I ever had. you are suppose to feel relaxed and I surely did...She offered me water after my massage and was standing right outside my door with my water...I cant say enough good things..

Yall took care of my son with a great sports massage. He said his hip flexors were so tight he was in extreme discomfort. Later that night the discomfort was minimal and it was gone the next day. Thanks

I was gifted with a full body massage at this place. Arrived on time was asked if there was a specific part of the body I would like to focus on I stated no but only received a shoulder and back massage. When I was informed I should’ve received a fill body I called the spa back the SAME day to see why I did not receive what was paid for. I have called daily to speak with management and no one seems to know how to get in contact with management. It’s been almost a week. Very poor customer service! I would not recommended this place.

I have had a massage booked at this location cancelled twice due to an employee calling out. They also advertise a hour long massage that is really 50 mins. I was told a manager would contact me and i have yet to receive a call. I dont not recommend this location.

Knotted up and stressed beyond control, my best friend set me up for a massage at Hand & Stone. I was reluctant because the last massage I had received was just okay. Accepting the massage was the best decision ever. I received one of the best massages I have had in years from Stephen. I was amazed at how he was able to truly listen to my muscles through his hands. He was informative ensuring I knew what to expect even after the massage was over. As a therapist myself for 17 years (which he did not know until the end), I was impressed and grateful for the great work he did. There are quite a few therapists at Hand & Stone who have provided the same service. I will definitely be returning.

I enjoy this location because of the staff. I dislike the turnover rate and the Hand and Stone locations, but these have great staff every time.

Overall slightly above average massage. However what is advertised as a 1 hour massage is not. I showed up 5 minutes early for my massage to get paperwork done and was called back the exact time of my appointment. While walking back I asked to use the restroom and was told my massage begins the exact time of my appointment. So no worries just lost 5 minutes but it’s okay next time I will just use the restroom before my appointment. However your massage ends 50 minutes have the hour so even if you show up early get called back early you will never get a full 1 hour massage at most it will be 50 minutes. I think if it is 50 minute massage say it is 50 minutes do not advertise for something it is not and charge for a hour. So just know that going in.

I have a membership with Hand & Stone and my experience is always pleasant. I have received a massage from a couple different therapists and all have been professional and knowledgeable.

This is the first time Ive experienced a massage at Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa at St John Town Center. The massage in itself was very soothing and relaxing---and the tranquil ambience was quite calming. But, what added to making this a pleasurable and relaxing time for me, is how very welcome and comfortable I was made to feel by the staff there.Erica was the sweet young lady who did my massage. The facial was wonderful! The experience was more then I expected. The massage was okay nothing I would do again. I expected head to toe and the massage fell short of my expectations. A lot of focus to my back no attention to my arms or hands and minimum attention to my legs and feet.

Tiffany was my Esthetician for my facial and she was amazing! Focused on my needs and picked a facial that left me glowing!

I went a few times and the service was decent but then it wasnt, I was late to an appointment payed the same and everything and got a poor half hour massage, went to cancel my subscription and they put it on hold instead of cancel so I got billed for it later on and finally I DID cancel and you know what keeps showing up? More payments for a place I no longer wish to visit between the phone calls while Im sleeping and the recurring payments its like a bear trap and I recommend you try elsewhere.

Maria was absolutely wonderful. I explained I had a tension headache and she was very attentive and walked me through exactly what she was doing and why, and even provided tips on how to help with these headaches at home. She was wonderful. The staff at the front desk was very welcoming and kind.

I was very impressed with Sand and Stone! Great prices and relaxing atmosphere. They had me all checked in as soon as I told them my name and there was only 1 sheet of paper to fill out unlike other places Ive been that have you fill out paperwork like a doctors office. The lady at the front was very friendly and provided water and directions around the facility while I waited. Josh was awesome and made me feel very comfortable. The rooms are customizable so you can change the bed heating, music and lighting as well as the room temperature to your liking. I will definitely be returning. Maria is the best massage therapist around, and I go wherever she is! This review would be 5+ stars if it was just about her.The reception staff is okay... Sometimes when I call, they are curt and act as though they dont enjoy their job in the slightest. The vibe is better when Im there in person, but still not the best.

Front desk staff is always friendly, helpful, and kind. But the real star of the show is Maria, she is an excellent massage therapist, truly knows what you need and where, is amazing at what she does and makes her work seem like art. Highly recommend Maria.

I went in feeling happy about getting a hot stone hand massage, & a year membership if I liked it. I didnt get either, & felt disappointed. I think the desk lady was having a bad day, perhaps, hopefully that was it, or shell find a job where she doesnt have to talk with people.

I unfortunately had an awful experience. I arrived 15 minutes prior to 3pm appointment and was not called back to room until 3:10. My massage did not start until 3:15 and ended at 3:50. I only received a 35 minute massage when I paid for 50 minutes. The massage therapist used little pressure when I asked for deep pressure. He barely massages and used more of a shaking technique to my extremities. When I asked for more pressure he said ok but just kept doing what he had been doing. When I told the front desk about my experience they said there was nothing they could do because I pre-paid. I get monthly massages and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had. I will not be returning!

Ive had a membership at Town Center location for over two years and love it. They have a great point bonus system so Im always getting upgrades. Promotions are great! Now I pamper everyone on my Christmas and birthday lists and get massages/facials. Staff is friendly and aestiticians and massage therapists very knowledgeable

I called to cancel 8 months ago. I just noticed the charges on my credit card and called to find out why. I was rudely informed by one of the managers Tammy that I signed a paper upon signing up with their membership that states I have to cancel with written notice and they are unwilling to refund any money. They also increased the amount of the membership while billing from $60 a month to $100 a month. Be careful doing business with a company like this.

This place is hit or miss. Got the membership because i need massages regularly for medical reasons and 50/month isnt bad. Quickly realized that while some therapists are amazing, most are pretty lazy. I dont bother with the deep tissue extra anymore because it does not ensure a better massage. Overall ill keep going cause Im cheap, but Ive figured out to keep my expectations low.

I have been a member for over a year now and do not plan on canceling any time soon. Automatic charges are very convenient. I visit locations in Jacksonville and Orlando since my mom lives there. Both of us are very pleased with the service. I also have purchased gift cards to give to my friends and family members, who were happy with massages as well.

Where do I begin....On 2/17/20 made arrangements for child care and was dropping my kid off and 30 minutes before my appointment, hand and stone was calling to reschedule because my therapist had a family emergency. They offered a facial, but I refused, pulled my kid out of child care and rescheduled. For my inconvenience, they offered upgrade, I chose cbd they were to add to my file.Calked to reschedule for 2/22/20 for massage therapist Morgan. Had to explain previous stressful situation again because NO NOTES ABOUT A COMPLIMENTARY UPGRADE WAS ADDED TO ACCOUNT. Receptionist added notes for my service on the phone call when I scheduled the appointment.In room getting introduced to my therapist Shay, then thought this is weird because I was scheduled for Morgan. As she began massage, I asked her about the CBD that I was told would be in my account for the therapist and she stated I did not see any notes and she was not certified for CBD massages so she had to go talk to front desk. So I upsettingly settled for Himalayan hot stone. Therapist Shay was great, loved her but....Room temperature was FREEZING, bathroom and lobby felt more warm cozy for this 52 degree temperature day. When I got my receipt, surprise, it said my therapist was Morgan like was started when I scheduled.But I guess you get what you pay for. I purchased a Christmas in July discounted 1 hr service that turned into a stressful ordeal and multiple customer service disappointments, one after another.Will NEVER give my money or business to this company again, regardless of location.

Sadly, this massage was a disappointment. When I called to book the 1.5 hour couples massage I was informed that it would actually be 80minutes due to dressing time (this is customary and I don’t have a problem with this). However, after arriving I actually only received 70 minutes of table time but was charged for 1.5hr. It is not customary to charge a customer for 20 minutes of dressing time. In addition, I was disappointed with the actual service. I requested that my upper and lower back be focused on and instead my therapist massaged my arms 4xs and legs 2xs. I actually had to ask her again during the massage to please work on my back as that is where my issues are. I was very disappointed in the service received.

I have been a member for about a year now and have had one good experience after another. I have both massages and facials.....a treat for myself each month. I am completing a series of LED facials now which have been wonderful. As a member I receive some nice discounts. I highly recommend this particular location. I have not tried the other locations in Jacksonville.

This was the worst hot stone massage ever. I frequently get massages and have been for almost twenty years and never have I had the type of experience like this evening. It was rushed and I was cheated on the time. The mailer (which lured me in) says introductory one-hour massage or facial. I was there 30 minutes early for my 6pm appointment. The therapist came to greet me at 6:05pm, we started around 6:10pm and I was getting dressed at 6:52pm. Hot stones didnt even touch the front of my body and barely the back of my legs. He was literally shaking me because of the rapid pace of this botched massage 😂. All I could do was laugh on the inside because I was supposed to be relaxing but all I could think about was this rushed massage. There was no pillow under my legs while I was laying on my back, nor eye shades or even a towel to cover my face. Then when I was asked how was it? and I said rushed, not my caliber of massage, the girl at the front desk tries insult my intelligence by saying its only supposed to be 50 minutes hands on. I went over the time table with her and stressed the fact that I didnt go back until 6:05pm, yet here I am dressed, paid the bill (6:58pm)and out the door at 7pm. And I went to the bathroom after I got dressed to fix my hair. Also, I told her its false advertising because no where on the mailer does it say hands on 50minutes. In my case, I maybe got hands on 30minutes because of all the back and forth to get the stones. Not mad at all, because you get what you pay for and I dodged a bullet and probably even more rushed massages in the future because I had agreed to the membership in the beginning. I will continue to go to Natural Body and Spa no matter the cost because I receive good quality massages there.

Had a gift card I have been hanging on to for a rainy day, no where on the card it has an expiration, which it shouldnt since someone spent their hard earned money to give me a massage, and go to use it and now am unable to the to an imaginary expiration date. Hand and stone has my brothers hard earned money he used to by his little sister a massage and I am without a massage. I have had previous gift cards from this company and once was made to pay saying they wouldnt accept it at this location.. they are quick to take your money, but the customer service is a joke. And the massage is OK I have had much better customer service, pricing, help and all around service from local places.. read the comments STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND HAVING TO DEAL WITH BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

You sign up and even when you cancel they keep charging you. When you ask to be refunded, they double charge you on the same day. When you finally have to get nasty just to talk to one, they have NO CLUE what they are doing, and shouldnt be speaking on Hand and Stones behalf, its embarrassing. I went in for a facial and was 10 min late for a 60 min facial. I went in and 20 min later was told that I am done with my facial. Please note that this is with an add on service. I was so excited to go to this place when I got a same day appointment and was twice as much disappointed after the 20 min service for which I was expected to pay $100. I wanted to take the monthly membership and the gift cards but now I am never going back again. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED..

The first time I went the experience was excellent, I got a deep tissue and it was on point, so I got a membership. The next time I went in I paid an extra $20.00 for the hot stone , this guy had no idea what he was doing, he rubbed the hot stone over my spine one to many time , I had to tell him to keep the rock off my spine , it was the worst massage Ive ever experienced, my 60 minute massage was at best 40 he never touched my shoulders or arms, and then he had the nerve to give me his card with his days he worked , Im typically a big tipper if I had a penny I would have let it for him , the smallest I had was a $5.00 so I let it, against my better judgment.

Every time I try to book a “last minute deal” through their website, it says that the online booking service is temporarily unavailable and to contact the spa for help. So when I contact the spa, I’m told she can’t help and to get the $34.99 deal, I have to book online. Obviously I can’t, cause the service is always down. But of course they tell me I can come in and pay full price for the same discounted massage. Like, why would I pay full price when it’s cleary and currently advertised on your website for way cheaper? I have tried on three separate days and each time, the online booking service is down. I’m beginning to think it’s a bait and switch tactic to get you in.

I didnt have great experience with them, I went first time and they somehow convinced me to take membership , the massage was kind of okay , the places smells little unpleasant to me. After membership they started charging my credit card every month and when I called they said you get a massage every month and 2 months were already charged additionally, so I had 2 massages in my account , whenever I called for a massage I didnt get appointment, they will tell me next week or not on my preferred days. Multiple tries, I cancelled my membership but I was told that I can still use my 2 massage . Again I kept calling them whenever I thought I needed a massage but every time, the appointments were unavailable when I needed, that was frustrating. then I stopped calling for a while and I called them again yesterday, for massage and they said your 2 massages already expired and cannot be used now, but she gave me option that if I renew my membership those 2 massages can be reused, I said no because I was trying ti use because I had paid for them in membership, I asked if she can talk to manager and check, she said she talked to the manager next second without talking to manager because she was talking to me and just after I asked she said she talked to manager, when ?? Dont think the other person is fool. I didnt like that place and will not recommend membership.

I recently applied for this location on line. In my application i clearly stated multiple times I would only be avalible during the day (7-5) soon after I got a call for an interview. After arriving they had me refill out all my paperwork. After the wait for 30-40 minutes I finally got to talk to the manager who IMMEDIATELY told me they couldnt hire me due to my only being able to work mornings because it wouldnt be fair to the other employees and if i ever work nights I would just forget how to open and close.. What I DO NOT understand is why they would even contact me if I could NOT be hired in the first place. Or why I would need a FULL AVAILABILITY for a part time job they had posted (13-30) hours a week. This location clearly needs to be getting the things together and in order.. This place is great! My husband and I get couples massages monthly because of our membership and I get facials on the side. I definitely would suggest this for anyone wanting to treat themselves or someone else once a month! Expecially if you play sports, are active, or even pregnant (pre-natal massages)! Lisa is amazing! Ask for her when you go and she can explain everything to you!

Horrible follow through. I purchased one of their facial products, the product caused me to break out. I contacted the managers several times to return the product. They never returned my calls. When I went to the location to return the product. They advise, they were going to refund me for the product that caused me to break out. To date, I have still not received my refund.

Worst place ever, high price and they treat you rudely. One hour message turns out to be 35 min. Form you sign, restroom use deduct from your time.

Angie was amazing! I wouldn’t have changed a thing about by massage. She was so intuitive with my trouble spots that I didn’t even know were there.

I booked a couples massage on 1/27/16 for Valentines Day. I tried to be proactive and beat the crowd before everything booked up. 5 days before my appointment H&S calls me and says they overbooked and not only would I have to come at a different time but I have to go to another location. I was so pissed. I made other reservations on Valentines Day around my massage appointment. Now everything is screwed up. Thanks a lot. Will never go to H&S again.

The atmosphere was nice. The massage was ok. But the time was short.

The massage was fine. But I was very unhappy that they got my massage appointment messed up and so I couldnt use my free massage voucher so I had to pay for it so Im very ticked off right now so I will not be coming back to this place and I do not suggest it

I was encouraged to sign up for a membership with my giftcard. You cant use your giftcard for monthly payments however. After several months I attempted to cancel... 4 times! Each time it didnt work until finally after 2 attempts I let my credit card reach a limit so it couldnt be charged. Hand and Stone called to tell me this would cancel my membership and I agreed I wanted that to happen. 2 months later I paid my card down and H&S charged me for 2 months of service immediately. I called and had to FORCE someone to stay on the phone to cancel. I had 3 remaining credits and just over $100.00 on my giftcard, no one told me they expired 90 days after canceling membership they just kept repeating on membership they never expire. I called to see how many credits I had and how much was left on my giftcard a few months later. I was told all my credits had expired. I went in to use my giftcard and was told it had no balance. I feel cheated, lied to and stolen from. I will NEVER give this company money again and I would recommend anyone not looking to pay up front for services they never get do the same.

Dawn was super sweet and informative. Very nice setting/ambiance. Wayne was outstanding!
