We Care saved my life in 2012! I was struggling in school with 3 children on my own and found a lump. I was accepted at the Mission House in Jax Beach and a doctor there referred me to We Care. We Care took over and did everything possible to get me the treatment and surgeries needed. Fast forward to 2021, I now have my Bachelors of Science in Nursing and am working fore the same organization that saved my life. I can now help others in a similar situation and love my job!

I searched for the Gainesville branch, but it doesnt even show up in a search. Im a person of color and I know its not always a race issue, but sometimes even when you tell yourself it cant be it just is. The name is supposed to say it all, but I just dont feel like they do actually care. The doctor these people sent me to was clearly biased. She asked me a bunch of questions about things that had no relation to why I was there and then I could see her stereotyping me. It was really heartbreaking. Im not sure why they sent me here, because it was clear this woman had no intention of helping me. Sad thing is when youre begging for help even with medical, beggers really cant be choosers right! I think Ill wait until I get insurance so I can go see a doctor who actually cares.
