I was the patient with Dr Downey for many years when I was a little boy up until I was about 22 man I miss Dr Downey one of the most kind caring doctors you will ever meet my mom shes still a patient hes been a patient with him for years she wont see anybody else all I can say if you need great care please go see him you wont regret it

Im sorry I waited so long to switch to this wonderful doctor. He is caring but professional and listens carefully. Nearly everyone in my family has switched to him.

Dr. Downey is fantastic. My kids use to see him. I would even drive all the way from St Augustine for the first few years after moving. I credit him for the early intervention we received for my son with autism. He would always listen and not blow off my concerns. Because of that my son received an early diagnosis and was able to get the therapies he needed at a young age. If it wasnt for the distance we would have never left his practice.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr Downey’s for almost 30 yrs. We both love Dr Downey. He is a good listener, he’s intelligent and very compassionate. We love the fact he is a Christian man as well and he has prayed with us through many illnesses. I hope and pray he is blessed with good health and able to be our physician for many years to come.

Dr. Downey always takes the time to explain everything in detail. He asks questions and never seems to want to rush you out the door like some other doctors. I have been with him for over 15 years and have tremendous confidence in him and his staff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Downey’s for better than 15 years. He is an incredibly intelligent MD; very knowledgeable of modern medicine and is also open to alternative medicines (essential oils, supplements, etc.). I am a nurse who has plenty of experience with the medical community and Dr. Downey is one of a handful of docs who TRULY takes the time to LISTEN to his patients and spends time with his patients. In fact, I have been so pleased with him as a person and a doctor, as well as the care he provides, that when his son became a pediatrician I switched my children’s care to his son, Dr. James Downey, and I and my kids couldn’t be happier. Would definitely recommend both father and son.
