Dr S has been our family dentist for 15 yrs. never tried to sell us more services. Smart and efficient. So very kind.

Dr. Shaeffer is the most patient-centered, caring and experienced health care professional Ive ever experienced. He is a rare mix of highly trained and top-of-his profession skills with the greatest of empathy and concern for his patients health and well-being. He is by far my favorite doctor who I can also call my friend. And his staff are simply awesome!

He is the best!! My last dentist gave me 6 fillings within a year and I had never had a cavity before. Dr Shaeffer is awesome. He has been watching my could turn into cavity areas for 3 years. He is honest and has never tried to give me extra expenses. I even asked him to whiten my teeth and he was really nice and said he could do it in the office but that it would be easier and cheaper to try the crest white strips first! He was right they worked and were easy. He is very nice and honest and his office is always playing Happy Feet :-)

Very pleased with our first visit! We arrived for our appointments (mine and my daughters) 15 minutes early but were greeted at the door by the dentist himself! As I filled out the new patient paperwork, Dr. Shaeffer walked my 3 year old back to her room (with her grandma in tow!) I went back for my appointment and they kept me informed on what was happening in my daughters room the whole time! They were very informative about what was going on in our mouths as well!! I was very nervous at first, but the second we walked in I was at ease!! If youre new to the area and looking for a dentist, definitely give them a call!!

The most professional and pleasant dental office in Jacksonville! We go early Saturday mornings and my family of four is in and out in around 30 minutes. They do thorough cleanings but they plan ahead and make sure that if you have your whole crew going in, it will be seamless. They are extremely kind, excellent with kids, patient and honest! Ive never had a better dentist experience in Jax... Even over the pediatric dentists with the scads of toys lying around.

I have gone to William Shaffer for 9 years now and plan to go to him forever. He is a great dentist and family man. They are very prompt and caring with everyone. I have only good things to say about the entire office staff.

My family loves Dr Shaeffer. We started going to him when we lived on the southside. We moved to the other side of town but continue to drive over there just for his practice. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Dr Shaeffer is fantastic, even with younger kids; hes very reassuring and soft spoken to help put them at ease.Update: still going to Dr Shaeffer and still think they are fantastic. It’s been close to 10 years that we’re been going here for our family of 5. My youngest is 6 and she actually gets excited when I tell her we’re going to see Dr Shaeffer. That speaks volumes about their office’s demeanor and how comfortable children are in their care. Thank you, Dr Shaeffer and all of your staff!

Dr. Schaeffer is absolutely the best dentist. Everyone I know who has ever been there says the same. Our family of 4 have seen him since my kids were in preschool and my kids ask to go to the dentist all the time. Sounds crazy but its true! I will schedule us all at the same time and we are in and out in 30 minutes. The office always runs on time and is very efficient. He runs a tight ship and yet is very pleasant. We came here about 10 years ago on high recommendation when my husband and I thought another practice was suggesting unnecessary work. Dr. Schaeffer has never mentioned anything about those procedures and I feel confident that he would never push unnecessary services. I recommend him constantly and everyone is always pleased.

I had a broken tooth that was bothering me. I called and left a message with the receptionist. Surprise of all surprises, I was called back. I was scheduled for a 1:00 Oclock appointment and I was seen AT 1:00! I have NEVER had such a great experience as I have had here with any other Dentist. Patient care is second to NONE. I am absolutely thrilled about my next appointment. Thank you, Dr. Schaeffer and team.

Awesome! I hate dentist. I really do, but this office is fantastic. The staff is friendly and Dr. Shaeffer is genuinely concerned about you. As long as I live here, this will be the only place I go.

This busy dental practice is located on Beach blvd. They accept most of the dental insurance plans. Staff members are nice and care about your time and concerns. They address all the questions you might have. Dr. Shaeffer is very skillful, of course, and have great customer care as well. He pays great attention on possible pain, even if a minor and when he does the procedures, he talks through every details that will happen in the next few minutes, why he is doing, etc. It is always scary to go to the dentist but the comforting staff and caring doctor makes the experience least fearful as possible. Another strength of this clinic is the dental hygienists are also with a lot of experience and do great job in dental cleaning and client education. I highly recommend this clinic for you and your family dental care.

DO NOT GO HERE ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A SINGLE MOTHER AND BRING YOUR CHILD/REN WITH YOU THEY WILL DISCRIMINATE AGAINST YOU!! They do not even deserve one star. I got referred by my dad who has spent thousands of dollars here. The moment I walked in my two year old had laid down on the couch it’s 10:30 in the morning he’s tired... the first thing Dr Shaeffer said to me was “I see we have another cranky kid on our hands”. Which was rude as can be. We then had the assistant walk us back to the room. Even before I got a chance to sit down she told me that my son couldn’t be in the room with me. Not one other dentist that we’ve been to has ever asked me to have my child stand outside the door by himself. Especially not a two year old. They have accommodated us and they have given him the weighted mat to cover him. When I pushed back she said that they wouldn’t do that. When I told her that this is ridiculous and if he was going to stand out by the door he would be crying. Which my son got frustrated at this point he didn’t want to leave me and started to cry. Dr shaeffer decided to join us at this point and says that most people have their kids watched by their babysitters or family. I told him that I am a single mother and I don’t have anyone to watch him. I take him everywhere with me. If he had to stand out here he would cry which is normal for a two year old. I said obviously you don’t have children since you’re not understanding my situation. He said it wasn’t normal. Laughed at me. Then said he wasn’t going to see me because I had my son with me. That maybe next time I should “figure it out”. I told them that this was discrimination. That this wasn’t okay. It was not okay. They kicked us out and Dr shaeffer slammed the door in my face.
