This department is a joke. Rude and angry customer service with little to no knowledge about clients need.

I just feel that most of the people are angry and have no customer service skills,it scares you to think that people who have access to your personal information can be trusted when they are constantly angry, its hard enough to be in a position of needing help and be treated with disdain I know that there is good people working there but they are few and far between

They closed the door at 4:58pm and wouldn’t answer my question. They had my nuero surgery appt canceled that I waited months on because I was stuck in traffic and arrived before they closed. They do not care about your health or lively hood. The employees are not very nice and do not appreciate helping this city of Jacksonville. I arrived before they closed to simply get something printed since they won’t fax the denial to my neurologist..... I want to file a lawsuit against the state because of this. It is effecting my life simply because of their employees not working to their full (Paid) potential.

These people are TERRIBLE! The staff are cold and absolutely do not know how to talk to people!!! When already dealing with stress, they don’t help alleviate or try to assure you they are doing everything in their power to assist you! I wish I could give you NO STARS!!!

Ive Been Trying To Talk To A Representative For 3 Days Now And No One Hasnt Answered, Im Still Waiting For A Answer And Its Been 40 Mins Already !!!!! What Is Going On?

DCF has been intercepting my childrens child support money to pay back over $1000.00 in cash assistance THAT IVE NEVER APPLIED FOR/RECEIVED!!! So far, they have stolen $291.80 from me! I wonder how long this will continue to go on until they are brought into a class action lawsuit, because as it turns out, i am not the only one they have been stealing from!!

Its so unfortunate that its come to this but this review is about one specific employee and one only. This person has shown unhumanlike care and characteristics with how cold hearted and evil she has acted and Im honestly at my witts end with what to do about it so I wanted to at least let someone know about her. This person, after being rejected by her former boyfriend (my current one) because he refused to sign over the rights to his Daughter made her basically flip her switch and she hasnt stopped with the harrassing ever since. It started when he went to move his stuff out and grab the rest of his things from their house. He called law enforement prior because after realizing the first trip that she was going crazy and being violent that he needed to have someone there with him. Therefore he called the cops to meet him there and before he could get there she gave a huge statement full of nothing but lies to the officer that showed up. So the cops thought he was some insane person before he even got there when he called becuase she had been showing signs of being unstable and erratic. When he finally grabbed his stuff he noticed 3 of his guns were missing that had literally just been there, he just didnt have emough room to fit everything in one trip the first time. She swears up and down she put everything outside and proceeded to back her story. He has serial numbers for these and one is a long time family heirloom that meant so so much to him from his Father who had passed not long ago so that was really hard for him. She threatened to say all these things about how he laid hands on her when she had no marks because thats just not who he is a d she was being the crazy one. She then not long after sent him a video of her BURNING his only memory book containing pictures from when he was an infant until now that had more meaning than anyone could ever put a dollar value on... (so apparently she did lie and not put everyrhing on the porch) It has been beyond unreal how someone could be so low and so unhuman. Unfathomable. It wasnt until he filed a police report of his missing guns that she backed off and claimed she would say she didnt want to move forward with any of her lies and false accusations against him being physical. Guns have still never shown up even after a cop went and checked AGAIN in her home as well. Hes the type of person that will give you the shirt off his back and had been through too much already mentally, he counted his guns as a loss and thought they had come to a peace terms to stop harrasing him. Well it wasnt until today that his boss realized she wrote a terrible review about him making his company look so horrible that something needs to be done about her. Hes a small business owner so when she did that, she made him and his whole company that hes built look unprofesional by basically saying he needs to drug test his employee because he does drugs. Hes already been drug tested and his boss knows him full well that he does not do that. He has a family that he provides for and works very hard to keep that family together that drugs domt interest him. If anyone though needs to be drug tested though, it is definitely Ashley Nicole Scott, your employee that this whole review is about. Your current emplpyee 100% is the one who actually does drugs and at this point has proven to be a danger to society, and much less working for our state and the people who live in it. She in no way represents Florida or your Department and honestly I just finally had to let someone know because we are both at our wits ends with how to get her to stop harrassing us.

They have helped my family and many , many more familys all across jacksonville. There are so many things in life that go wrong . this place really does there best to help everyone... Nobody is perfect. Thank you dcf for all you do and still doing...

DCF is complete garbage and dont do their jobs correctly. If you are a guy trying to protect your children DCF will screw you over and will lie on the father no matter what the case to make the father look like an awful parent. DCF is not only biased but they are shady and REFUSE to DO WHAT IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD!

My brother asked for assistance when his small children needed help with daycare and medical needs and DCF came in took his children and falsely accused him of child neglect.DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOME.Get help from your church or family. They lie, they lie, they lie. This place should be called the Department of F**king Cheating Families out of their Children.I only wish there was a negative star scale on this review, I would give negative 5 stars.

Friendly reminder that it is legal for DCF to consider a childs disability a risk factor that negatively affects safety assessments even when evidence of abuse does not exist. Im not okay with discrimination whether its legal or not. Removing a child from a home and using their disability as a reason should never be legal.

I would like to say when I walked in here my experience wasnt bad but I also didnt really have to do anything but I appreciate the woman at the booth kind demeanor.This is for DCF in a whole. Where do I start? Such a cruel system. Recently I moved down here from Pennsylvania. I have a 6 month old baby girl we arrived when she was 4 months old. I lost my job back in Pennsylvania due to trying to find child care for my ridiculously long work hours and at the time my baby was only 2 months old. Started working when she was one month (have to stress this because people as well as DCF workers like to stereotype and treat people on welfare if we are pions and leeches... I pay taxes too). Anyways, I have been trying EXTREMELY HARD calling everyday and I already given them all of my verifications a while ago. Its been 2 months. It took a while for you guys to even give me food assistance. When I moved down here I had nothing I lost my place I had for 4 years. To come to a living room to sleep in with my daughter. All I want is to have child care. I know its a process complied with everything yet they wait until the last minute to do everything. in my situation I should of had expedited food stamps at least.... that took a month to receive. Nothing is provided online about the case thats recent or keeps you updated. I went to the Career source meeting and everything.Yet I have no cash assistance which I have to get from dcf in order to get child care. Crazy. Im just waiting. I really want to work my daughter and I deserve more and I want to do that. I need work in order to get what me and my baby need. I dont have people who are just going to buy all of me and baby essentials. All I need is child care and for DCF to learn how to be considerate and to stop having ice cold hearts its really sad. You call into the call center and they are rude. Talk down to you. I filed an appeal and dcf supervisor didnt put it through. So I emailed the appeal office directly and they said they will be investigating that as well. Its just ashame how greedy the world is. So who ever reads this and man do I pray its a DCF worker. .. Look at how cold the world is and all of the murders around us. Innocent people dying. All it takes is to make a change some where. This program is in place to help people in situations like mine. Things change when you are kind. They really do. Take care.

For the last 3 renewals I have been denied because the lady would not return my calls for my interview. I received a letter saying I was denied so I needed to reschedule my missed appointment.. The lady never returns my calls!! Ive left voicemails on voicemails. Ive been without food since January. Ive done my part on everything!!! It has been the same lady on my case. And as of this month my child and I no longer have insurance. Its b.s.. My kid needs to start school soon needs to go to the dentist and needs his shots. Im beyond livid. Ok no insurance for me thats fine but Im a single mother who just lost her job and this lady needs to do her job! We need better caring people in dcf. I do not live off the government but the past few months I have really needed the help. So what am I gonna have dcf involved because my kid is not up to date with his shots?? Its been since January I had assistance. And ive been denied all the way until April. So Ive tried this month to reapply and it wont even give me the option. If you dont like your job and you wanna be plain out nasty and rude find u another job!! Ive even left messages in the space where u can leave extra note on how my case worker has been doing me. Next thing ill do is go to the office if I cant get help then ill move to higher places to see why this is happening to me. Dcf get better more friendly staff. Maybe half these mothers wont be coming in there with attitudes.. Sad system we have.. ✌

CPS in the state of Florida is a joke! Full of a bunch of women who tell you to ignore things your child says happened so they can move on. Because of people who work in positions like this- it’s no wonder molestation statistics are so high (and predators walk around only ever having a slap on the wrist, if that).Don’t even waste your time, just seek true counseling and avoid this department!

This company is an atrocity and a disservice to true Americans. The employees are allowed to be rude, disrespectful, argumentative, and deceitful. If you ask for a supervisor you risk that employee doing something malicous to your case out of retaliation. And the supervisors dont do anything to rectify the issue. Call Rep. Philacia, i.d. # z40161 reported false information about me to DCF after I spoke to a manager about how rude and argumentative she was with me. This resulted in my benefits being stopped. When I reported her, nobody at this company was willing to do anything! I reached out to the inspector general of DCF who did nothing. I emailed my concerns to Timothy Ring who also did nothing as he is known for doing nothing. He did nothing when I had to report my daughter being physically abused by her bio father and the case worker NEVER came to my home to examine her injuries. I was investigated by a woman named Jyoti Prasad who told me I needed to complete certain tasks in order to keep my benefits. The tasks she asked of me were her odd and unreasonable and even an individual in the department of inspector general agreed with me that what was being asked of me in order to disprove the false information that was reported on me was unreasonable. Nonetheless I completed the tasks anyway. Before completing one of the tasks I had spoken to Prasad about an alternative to the task which she agreed to. However once completed, I was still sanctioned and my benefits terminated. I called her to ask her why and she uncooperative so I asked for her supervisors contact information. Once I got her supervisor, Paula Sapp, she had the audacity to immediately greet me with bias and told me Oh mmhmm Ms. Prasad told you would be calling and Ive already spoken to her and reviews the case with her and found that she did nothing wrong. To which I responded So my case worker strategically spoke to you before I had a chance to, which contributed to you having already formed a bias opinion toward my concerns. She had a very unpleasant attitude and offered no resolutions. I had to call the inspector general back and let them know about Sapps attitude and bias. I was told a supervisor would call me within 24 to 48 hours. Its been over a week and nobody has called or emailed me back. I have 2 children and one on the way and now have to figure out where the extra money will come from for groceries.

This agency is focused solely on breaking up families and destroying lives. DO NOT ALLOW THEM INTO YOUR HOME

They messed up my interview now im a whole month with out benefits

Between the blatant lies and the desire to destroy my family i would NEVER recommend associating with DCF if at all possible

I’ve been calling ms Latrell for the past two weeks now and no answer or call back . it’s really aggravating me when someone is not doing their job I have left my phone number , case number , and all and still no response can someone call me from the department of children and families please and thank you .
