We love Dr. Whitfield. She’s great with my girls. We’ve had two annuals and she’s thorough with her physicals.

Phenomenal staff. Dr. Whitfield cares very much for her patients and will go above and beyond to guarantee your quality of care. Somedays you will have a longer wait, but that is a small price to pay, especially because it isnt necessarily the staffs fault. As long as Dr. Whitfield in my area I will not be going to any other family doctor.

The staff was great but the doctor was not.

Ownby Family Part 2.After my experience trying to get an appointment and getting turned away from an office that was empty, fast forward to November of 2019. My wife got rear-ended in an accident. She started having some severe back and neck pain a couple days after and it progressively got worse. With 5 kids our life is very busy and hectic so we didn’t want to spend hours in an ER. Some time after the pain started, my wife called to get an appt with Dr. Whitfield but the dr was out that day and they tried to get us in with a partner dr but never followed up with us. When we called back the following week Dr. Whitfield was out on leave that week. Then Thanksgiving came and went and we tried again.In the meantime, we’ve had to get legal counsel for the wreck and when we made the appt and mentioned it was accident related, they told us that they couldn’t bill our insurance and that we’d have to pay out of pocket. That didn’t sound right and even after talking to lawyer, that’s not how this works. Medical insurance pays and once accident resolution is finalized our medical insurance gets reimbursed. We showed up for the appt and explained that and the same lady i dealt with for my new appt was at the desk and showed the exact same disdain and lack of concern. She seems like she’s completely miserable and inconvenienced to have to deal with any patient at all. Completely horrible to have to interact with. I’ve never seen anything or anyone like it. So my wife gets called back to speak with another admin person who tells us they can’t see us and we need to see a specialist. Mind you, we weren’t seen or able to speak with Dr. Whitfield at all about any of this. I’m pretty sure that it’s the Dr who decides the medical advice and not an admin rep.We walked out of there completely defeated, furious, and my wife in tears over the way we were treated and felt completely disregarded as human beings in need of medical evaluation. We didn’t even get the chance to get seen and get a referral to a specialist. They just basically wanted us to go away. From the moment we called till the appt we got the impression once we mentioned the words car accident that they viewed my wife like she had the plague. The experience we’ve had is completely appalling and atrocious. So now, they lost a new patient and an existing patient with my wife. We’ll never step foot in the place again. For Dr. Whitfield, if you have any concern for your practice, I’d fire the entire staff and start new.

Horrible Dr. She is not here to help people that need it.
