My husband was told he did not have cataracts and sold multiple glasses over the years when in fact he was in desperate need of surgery. His cataracts were so bad he had to endure many weeks of recovery due to the extreme growth of the cataracts around his lens.

I just want to let everyone know how amazing Dr Valagauz and Daisy are! I have been getting my glasses there for years. Always great service and quality..This time I went in for contacts. Im 56 years old. My first time using contacts. Im not good at this at all. Daisy was so patient and sweet! I cant say enough good things about her..She is an angel. Even though I couldnt get use to putting them in that day. Daisy told me to come back and we can try again. I just Love this place!! Always will be my place to go for glasses or contacts☺

Dr. Valesquez is great. Always willing to answer all my questions. He is very thorough in making comparisons of any changes since my last visit. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful.

The place is okay, and the doctor is decent enough, but I didnt get in until an hour after my appointment time and they charge you for the contacts you try out when they give you a new prescription. Ive been wearing contacts for 18 years now and have never had to pay for the new test contacts the doctor gives me when they update my prescription. Instead of paying just my $10 copay, my bill comes out to $65!

This place is amazing.😍 Once you cross over the door you can feel it. It has a great interior design. I do not post review on Google but this time I’m so mad and I do not have patience anymore. Did my eye exam on 5/4, ordered glasses and it is 5/18 now the glasses are not ready. I called twice and this time they told me it is not ready you can call on Monday but we don’t know when it will be ready. I brought my own frame and they asked me to sign that they won’t be responsible it they break it. Fine. They told me it will take 7-10 business days. Fine. But now it has been 10 full business days, and they have no idea what the status is. The girl who answered my call was cold and not polite at all. I’m done with this place. If it is still now ready on Monday I will take my frame back. They should go out of business.

Best eye exam ever! The staff are all very professional, friendly and efficient. They are on time and explain everything. Best of all I paid a little extra to have digital instead of having my eyes dilated! Very informative and they take their time explaining all of your results.

I am a senior with cataract implants from 23 years ago and near-sightedness. The exams and advice I get from these doctors has always been extensive and very professional. They have all the latest equipment so are able to show you the insides of your eyes to inform you about their condition. I have been pleased with my contacts and glasses.

I found this place through Google, so I was unsure of how it would be. I went in the same day I called, and the service was great. Everyone at the front desk is super friendly, and welcoming. The office was visually appealing. I visited Dr. Velasquez, and he was super helpful, and knowledgeable. I went in for a medical exam, and was helped fairly promptly. It seemed it was pretty low volume. At the most there were 3 customers in there at a time. Definitely would revisit again. I also would suggest it to anyone else.

I have been a patient of Dr Rippey’s for more than 15 years. She is a pleasure to work with. Very good interpersonal skills to go along with the vision service she provides. I usually also get my glasses made there. They are a bit expensive but if anything goes wrong they fix it no questions asked. I guess you get what you pay for

Dr. Velasquez was really great! I was seen on time and he really took his time to assess my needs and describe what he thought would work best for my eyes. I have really severe dry eyes and I thought I would never be able to wear contacts again, but he recommended a trial brand that has worked really well for me so far. I am so happy about this because now I can be active without having my glasses slip and fall off of my face all of the time. As for the office atmosphere, it was relaxing and welcoming. The front office staff was super nice and the technician was really good at explaining the various tests that were being done on my eyes. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good eye care facility and doctor!

I saw the place from outside when they were closed. It looked nice. I went the next day to buy a pair of prescription glasses. The staff at the front desk were extremely rude. I left and will never go back.

Went for an eye exam and a perception for contacts and they charge 65 dollars for a pair of contacts to verify the fitting. That would be OK except I have been wearing the same pair of contacts for 4 years with no problems. It seems that they just want to charge 65 dollars for a pair of contacts that I can get for 50 dollars for the box. I will not be going back to those crooks. I can understand why I could get an appointment so fast there. My normal doctor is two weeks backed up because he doesnt up sell everything.

I am extremely annoyed. Dr. Velasquez was great, and I would definitely consider going back to him, which is the only reason Im giving a 2 star review instead of a 1 star. The girl who charged me for my visit overcharged $100. When I brought it to her attention, she did the refund, but I just found out I wont be receiving the money back on my account for another 2-3 days. This is a huge inconvenience for me, as I have bills and other things to pay for. On top of that, when I called to make my appointment, I was told they were booked out for the afternoon. I had to explain to them that it wasnt a routine check-up, I had something wrong with my eye. When I was checked in, the girl who was taking down my pre-exam information said I was her last patient of the day. I dont appreciate being lied to.

I love the doctors at Vision Source--they have been my eye care providers now for 12 years, since my family moved to Houston. They always get me in quickly, especially if I am having an eye problem. My whole family goes to them!

Started out very well with Vision Source, both doctors are professional & friendly. Recently I sent a friend over with an eye condition, was misdiagnosed x 2, we found answers later with a specialist...should have started there first...live and learn. Recently had several phone conversations with front desk staff about my prescription and learned it was expired. The conversation I had with Chris and another staff member was NOT helpful and definitely NOT friendly... VERY rude and cocky. Time to move on. Customer service is VERY important to me. Just retired and had broke my old glasses. Vision Source rapidly scheduled an eye exam and helped me and my wife to select frames. We would be leaving for our ranch, so these wizards arranged for the new glasses to be FedExed directly to our ranch address in Central Texas.Wonderful service. The office itself is clean and neatly decorated, you wouldnt think it was a standard shopping center eye care store. They have a great selection of eyewear, Ive ordered 2 sets of glasses from them and have never had an issue. They are usually very prompt with ordering contacts that are not in stock but rarely are they out of stock with my brand and prescription. I hope to continue using Vision Source for my eye care and eyewear.

Worst Experience. I got an appointment on Saturday. I arrived on time. They had not checked my insurance ahead of time. They did not call me to check my insurance before the appointment. My insurance company was not available Saturday. Inept. Save your time. Pick another place.

Instead, I had to remind of myself after waiting for 25 minutes since all the staff was busy laughing and joking (I was the only customer at the time).And charging extra $55 on top of glasses prescription for contact lenses prescription?? Without ever telling the customer? I wont be back!OK, I rated it at 2, but have to downgrade to 1 - when ordering contact lenses I found out they havent even filled out the prescription properly. Had to go back for re-examination. What a waste of time!

Excellent eye exam services. I get glasses and contacts scrips both. Good office hours and they can usually get you in the next day. Ive been going to Dr. Rippey and later, Dr. Velazquez, for many years. I had another eye doctor tell me I couldnt wear contacts with a bifocal prescription. Dr. Rippey prescribed one eye for near vision and one eye for far vision, and my brain merges the two when Im wearing contacts Each contact is a single-vision contact.. Its called monovision. Because of that I think Dr. Rippey is brilliant. ((SMILE)))
