Think i was having a panic attack when i got the news about a detached retina… luckily, Dr. Benz was able to sit with me and help calm me down and walk through the options; felt a lot more comfortable with the situation (without being overpromised a miracle).on top of the great care onsite, when i called to schedule an appointment, the attendant/call screener was very knowledgeable and careful not to waste my/ their time with a false alarm. i called at 8am and she was able to get me an appointment at 9:30.as an fyi, avoid the mistake (and 15 min walk) i made… do not use the google address for memorial location. Retina Consultants moved to the Cemex building on the northside of i-10.

Dr Rosa Kim is excellent! She is not only an expert as a physician/surgeon, but equally caring, compassionate and kind. My family and I have been seeing Dr Kim for more than a decade and we absolutely love her and her team. Definitely recommend Dr Kim.

From the time I entered their office, everyone was so kind, caring and professional. They were so thorough in their examination, as well as their review of my history. I was given a young trainee. She could not read the chart that I was repeating and sought help. She told me my eyes were worse than the last visit. The last visit was the surgery and it was extremely successful and gave me excellent vision in both eyes. She wanted to dilute my eyes to look for diabetes. I do not have diabetes and would not let her dilute my eyes and ended the visit. I am seeking another Dr.

Was able to get in last minute one afternoon for my first visit.Very little waiting to get back and the technicians are fast and organized.The doctor answered all my questions and wasn’t in a hurry. Very clean and everything was wiped down after each person.Highly recommend.

Retina Consultants of Texas (formerly of Houston) did an EXCELLENT job in stabilizing my left eyes retina after my dentist hit me in the head while extracting a tooth when his instrument slipped off the tooth. The sight in my left eye with a monocular lens (implant necessitated due to cataract which always forms after retina surgery) is now BETTER than before the surgery.

I was very impressed with Retina Consultants of Houston. The staff was friendly, professional and timely. I was called in to my appointment ahead of time. Its obvious Dr. Benz is well educated as a specialist. He was very pleasant to deal with and was able to perform a laser procedure on my first visit. I would highly recommend this practice.

I used to see Dr. Ronan E. O’Malley. He is one of the best doctor I’ve ever seen, unfortunately, he retired few months ago. So I had to see another doctor. I met dr. Charles C. Wykoff, when I asked him that the technician outside said there’s some change in my vision. He said,” I don’t see anything, I can bring her here to ask her if you want.” Well, I told him you’re the doctor who’s supposed to know not her with all respect to her of course. From the bottom line his way when he was speaking to me, seemed that I know everything and she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.I can tell after so many years of following up with dr. O’Malley, this physician “WyKoff” is not Trustworthy. Don’t waste your time

Retina Consultants of Houston has done a great job keeping my sight 20/20. After two detached retinas I still have excellent vision thanks to the technology they use and their excellent doctors and technicians. Appointments are always on schedule and they have a great process. A special shout out for Dr Wong and Dr Brown for repairing my retinas.

Dr. Wong provides the utmost care coupled with excellent communication skills. He listened, asked his own questions and left me feeling completely comfortable.The office staff from check in to check out are professional, efficient and also do an excellent job of communicating where you are in the process, whats next and all with a smile. This office is very organized and each tech is professional. They move the patient efficiently through the eye examination to the scanning and finally to the injection, usually within an hour. Considering the patient has to wait for the dilation, numbing drops and injection to take effect, plus the doctor’s examination, they really run a very smooth operation.I really like Dr. Fish, his personality, and dry sense of humor, yet he is an extremely gifted doctor. I’ve been seeing him for 2 1/2 years and wouldn’t want to see anyone else.

The website said they can help me with my eye problems, I get there and they refer me to another Dr. who could not help either. They were no help. I paid for a visit for the doctor to say something I already knew, and to be referred to someone who could not help.

I have been seeing Dr. Fish for years. This place is always organized and very professional. Dr. Fish and everyone there is great. Can’t imagine a better experience at a Dr’s office.

The doctor and his team are amazing. They do personalized care and we feel at ease and the best thing is they understand their patients needs. Like the patients need to understand whats going in, what the options are in the simplest manner so making decisions is easy and youre comfortable with it and leave without doubting if you made the right decision. Communication with the patient is key that many practitioners seem to miss. Not here. They note and remember the patients little details. But every single time we get out at least three hours after our appt time, spending more than 2 hours waiting. After tests by techs, we have been waiting in the dark room for 1 hour and 40 min. Last time we waited another hour in the exam room despite being told the doctor will see us in a few minutes. After we leave we forgot the waiting because the doctor is very good.

Rushed with no explanation of progress or future expectations.

I’m sure the doctors are good but they have the worst wait times I have ever seen. 10:45 appointment really means about 1:45 and the staff really doesn’t seem to care. Check in online and then show up about two hours later is the best bet.

An eye opening experience wonderful staff and doctors

Im a senior still working to face the gradual loss of vision because of macular degeneration.Im not alone; every month Im one of many receiving eye injections in the Bellaire office of RCH. Thats why having a team of expert and compassionate physicians, technicians and staff makes these visits less of a challenge. My doctor, Ronan OMalley MD, his office manage, Linda, technicians such as Lucrecia, Roger and Michelle, and the very professional front desk person, Wendy, create an atmosphere in which we feel encouraged and, yes...laugh a lot. Wendy caught my color-loving eye when I was first a patient with hair dyed a vermillion red. That bit of fun boosted my mood. She continues to do that with careful attention to my scheduling needs and at least every few months, a NEW hair color. Turquoise is one of her best.Thank you for wonderful care, RCH.Roberta

I was having a retina detachment my regular eye dr said so sent me to the Retina Consultants of Houston here! My first dr evaluation was with Dr. Wykoff at their Katy LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch office which is very nice but a bit hard to find among all of the shops and buildings there. Dr. Wyoff and his staff were great and he confirmed that I had a RD. So he set me up with Dr. Chen to do the office freezing & gas procedure on my right eye at their main Texas Medical Center Office in the Scurlock Tower early that evening. Dr. Chen is very nice too and also Dr. Wong who saw me early the next morning and said all was looking good. Im still being evaluated and saw Dr. Chen at their Frostwood Memorial City Hospital location (my least favorite office) last week. Im pretty happy about everything and recommend them.

I do not recommend this clinic my first visit they did not check my medical insurance well and they were charging me like $ 500 per visit and it turns out that my insurance covered it today I only paid $ 20 apart I am receiving injections in both my eyes because my retina is very damaged I leave completely blind and now these people do not want anyone to accompany me to the visit regardless of the state in which I leave this is my last visit here in this place due to their lack of professionalism
