The ER Team at LBJ is awesome. The Doctor withing 20 minutes knew my symptoms before I said anything about them. Everyone is a joy to speak with and helpful. I really felt cared for and in good hands. You all just dont know, after being treated like trash and not heard at Ben Taub then coming here for help you made my life better. I took to my parent to a Dr appointment, he advised us to go to the ER because the symptoms pointed to a heart attack. We arrived and I explained to the registrar what the Dr said and they proceeded to make us wait in the lobby for 10 hrs before finally calling us back. I would constantly go and ask why they havent called us back yet and how much longer would it take, their excuse was always the same, that the more important people are seen first and they dont know when well be called. Mean while Im over here worried about my parent. They dont care about you and by the looks of it, nor will they ever.

I would rate this hospital a 0 stars . Unprofessional and the fact that they take too long to call you up. I understand they gotta take in the most sickness but instead they made us wait longer more when they could of just took my daughter in real quick and examine her it will be more easy if it was by when you go not by skipping. Ive been here like more than 3 times and it has never changed at all. Very slow on everything specially at the emergency room.

Be prepared to spend 5-6 hours initially in the waiting room. 35 min to check in. Within an hour to do vitals/ temperature check. 1-3 hours to do your bloodwork. Come prepared to the hospital! Bring a blanket or hoodie! Hospitals are kept chilly on purpose! 🥶, Bring your phone or tablet for entertainment. No tv. Bring a charger for your device, their are outlets. Bring a few bucks for the snack machine. $2.00 for soda $2-$3.00 for snacks. -Parking money- yes you have to pay to park... And just be patient, yes the wait can suck. But just remember they are treating other people..some on their death beds. Once you do go back, the service is great. Relax.

I went there today at 2pm to be seen for issues with my heart, I explained to them I was having problems breathing those people left me in the waiting room all the way til 10pm. I was never seen, they wouldn’t even give me a doctors note for work after having me sit there all day. If you feel like you dying try another hospital.

ER not answering to find my mom she has no phone

Worst hospital I’ve ever been to. This is called an emergency room but they make you wait for hours for no reason at all so the nurses can go run around the hospital and goof off. This is ridiculous, disgusting and disrespectful. They have no shame. Don’t come here unless your waiting to suffer with your injuries until THEY feel the need to do something. I wouldn’t even rate them one star

I just started a job here not even 3 days on the floor, I was terminated !!! Casey Hogan RN leadership is a really work Of art y’all I tell ya!!!! I have evidence and everything to back up why I was wrongfully terminated and I should really pursue this legally because all I wanted to do was WORK!!!! If that’s the type of leadership I was going to work with then I’m glad I’m not working with her I even over heard some of the other PCA talking about her nasty attitude. 0/10 do not recommend

Ive never made a review for any place on Google Maps, but this one has to be made. I visited this emergency room upon Contracting covid-19. However, this hospital was not the one to diagnose me with the virus. At this Hospital, I had to tell them what my symptoms were while they rigged me up to an IV and started taking x-rays. They then gave me some pain pills and told me, We cannot actually diagnose you, but you may have the Coronavirus. Please visit another hospital to get tested.Thats not even why Im writing this review though. While all the staff is very nice and accommodating, their billing systems need more work. Ive been trying to pay a $650 bill for over a week now. All of their systems to make this payment digitally are down. Im not receiving emails oven overdue bill, and no one at the Harris Health System, which is the conglomerate the Lyndon B Johnson Hospital is owned by, seems to know how to get my payment cleared. I just want to pay them for the pointless tests they have performed on me before it reflects badly on my credit or get sent to collections or both.Do not ever go to this Hospital. Go to an urgent care close by. They actually diagnosed me with covid-19, only charged me $100 copay, and I knew my results in 15 minutes.

5 hours waiting for medical assistance, four medical assistants sitting working at check-in area and not providing any medical service. Waiting room full of ill people and Ive only seen 2 nurses working. Is the government paying for 4 positions just to be sitting while the waiting room is full of patients? Sucks.

I should’ve read the reviews before bringing my son here. Bathroom is filthy. Worried family members made to wait outside. We’ve been here 7 hours and my son still hasn’t been seen by a doctor. He’s bleeding and they know it. Nurses have been rude. No bedside manner at all. I’m scared to sit in my car and they won’t let you sit in any other waiting room. It’s hell to be poor and elderly. They’re the ones who suffer most. Shame shame shame

Well give them a Chance is Actually not bad you just HAVE to be Paint and waitAnd in the end you will get Treated and Medicine for it

Been waiting for 5 hours. They finally checked my blood sugar and did a blood lab. They were supposed to check it when I got here. The lady that checked it picked the tip of my finger. Not the side like theyre supposed to. Now I have to wait even longer to be seen by some random doctor which might take another two to three hours I guess. Do not come to this place if you need emergency care. This place really freaking sucks.

They dont allow your spouse to sit in the waiting room with you or go to the back of the ER with you. For someone who is married to a man with mental issues and dont have the paperwork and you gotta wait outside while theres plenty of seating available is ridiculous. You say you do it to improve patient care, but thats not always the case. For someone who has social anxiety its terrifying to be left around people you dont know

People complaining about wait times don’t understand how hospitals work especially county hospitals this place is great especially for low income patients be prepared to wait and the food sucks

Without a doubt, I have received an excellent service from all the members of the hospital who have had the pleasure of giving me their attention, as well as my wife and son, I have no words or actions to thank for all the effort and dedication that they have given us. I am more than satisfied with everything and wish all those fabulous staff a blessed and prosperous life

The worst place Ive been in my life, they treat people like rubbish, really so theyll treat you. You have to go almost dying or with very serious problems, they take the relatives out to the street, they do not care if you have babies with you, its very sad to get to this hospital and very sick and see how people writhe there in pain and other entangled bleeding and not care,.
