Dr. Jackson is really a nice guy . Quiet, but a good bedside manor. His staff is attentive and do well at meeting the needs you have. I’ve been there 3 times rather then going down to the med center to my PCP who I love. I’ve finally found someone in Clear Lake I really think is a good doctor AND has a good bedside manner. That’s been hard for me to find. When I don’t want to drag myself to the med center, Dr. Jackson is where I’ll go. I highly recommend his practice.

I had a negative first experience entering the clinic because the lady in the front was rude even though she had a smile on her face. I told her my daughter needed to be tested for COVID and strep because school nurse recommended. Now I didn’t tell her that’s all we needed but immediately she told me that we needed to pay $150 for rapid test and insurance wouldn’t pay for school related requirements so I would be responsible for everything including any tests. I told her that that’s not the only reason, my daughter is having sore throat and needs to be seen. She immediately made me look like I was abusing the system and made me feel so uncomfortable because she made it seemed like I didn’t want to pay. I just ignored her. She also made sure she made everyone else asking about my daughter’s case, aware that I changed what I wanted as soon as she told me I would have to pay. Come on, lady of course the price scares anyone, but I have babies at home and vulnerable people around, and I want to protect my daughter that is not feeling good. I want to know what’s going on with my daughter and of course, I want to know if it’s strep which is something that is easily treatable . The school needs the rest too but to me that’s secondary. Next time make sure customers are not where they can hear you.As far as the nurses and nurse practitioner inside, they were all angels. They treated me and my daughter with respect. My daughter had strep throat and got prescription for it.

I had an awesome experience when I went there. They got me right in, gave me all the necessary treatment I needed. Dr. Jackson is great, I left there knowing I was in good hands. I definitely recommend anyone to go there for any urgent needs.

One of the worst experiences ever! We went in for a Rapid Covid-19 Testing to this facility. We traveled recently and wanted to ensure our family was safe. The ladies were not only rude, but also informed us that if you dont have symptoms and getting a Rapid test, insurance doesnt cover it and we were supposed to pay $120. Very disappointed with their customer service.

The doctor is very nice, went there once for a covid test and was treated nicely. Few weeks later I called to ask about appointments and covid testing. Whoever answered the phone was extremely rude. Looks like others have had the same issue reading reviews. Maybe this person should work in the back or something where she doesnt have to talk to people or answer phones. We went elsewhere.

Poison Ivy sucks the life out of me!!! I couldnt stand the itchy weepy rash any longer. I had called my dermatologist & pcp & it was going to be 3 weeks to get me in. I went to Gemini & was taken care of quickly. I was examined & then given a shot asking with information on poison ivy. Everyone was attentive and friendly & In a happy camper!!

If it were possible to give no stars..thats what I would choose. Worst experience ever. I came in to get a covid test and was charged $150 and given no consultation because it was self payed and not through insurance. I was offered a $400 IV bag that I thought was fluids to help rehydrate me and while they were digging through my arm, hands, and the knuckle of my thumb for a vein to put the iv in. I was even told that my skin was too tough for the needle to go in. They only consulted my spouse, who had insurance, about the experimental drug they were going to give me. Thankfully after the doctor and 3 nurses who couldnt get the iv in me gave up, I was able to finally read what was actually in the IV bag and got a refund . Beware going here, for anything other than a covid test. The employees and doctor himself seem like they are not even trained at all to do their job properly. Never heard of iv going into a thumb or my stomach after the doctor there saying let me give it a try like ???? I dont know what Im doing. Also the the receptionist up front wasnt even wearing a mask the whole 3 hours we were there

I will start with the good, the MA that took care of my children was GREAT! She was attentive and got on their level to walk them through the process.For the not so great: We came in on Labor Day, there was a three hr wait. No complaints regarding the wait. I am in Healthcare, I get it.However, in my time of in the lobby, I am sharing some observations that are concerning. Your Patient Rights & Responsibilities have the name of your former business still on them. There were ZERO precautionary measures taken between patients checking in. Clipboards were not sanitized between patients, the counters were not wiped down once in the two plus hrs waiting in the lobby, the coffee bar is wide open with stir sticks that are not individually wrapped (sitting wide open getting germs on them) as well as coffee creamer stains sliding down the front of the actual coffee machine and the stand it sits on. You have snacks sitting out for people to eat, which is all fine and wonderful for non-pandemic times. However, a gentleman was proceeding to eat Goldfish crackers on the couch next to my son all while snotting and coughing the entire time. Every single patient that was there was for covid symptoms/testing.The front office staff left for her lunch break and did not inform the clinical staff she was leaving. A new patient came in and was unattended to for roughly ten minutes.A couple came in for a travel clearance PCR test and were seen immediately. We needed PCR for school and waited for three hrs. ?I came in today to pick up their results after the physician called and verbally gave me the PCR results, I gave the front (assuming Office Manager since she said they were in her box) my kids name and waited for results. She nor her trainee were wearing masks. We are in healthcare with constant exposure, staff should be masked at all times especially since you have no protective barrier for them. I was told the results were not in, it was too soon. The doctor had called me 30 min prior and verbally gave me the results. Further more, my ID was not checked to pick up their results, no further verification was required. This is a problem.You attached a patient survey to your demographic forms which means patients are completing a survey before ever being seen or they leave it blank as I did. How do you capture satisfaction in real time when it is inaccurate or incomplete?So while the MA was great, we will not return to this Urgent Care, there are too many other concerns.

In November 2020 I received a COVID-19 respiratory test. The visit was uneventful, and the staff were polite and friendly. Im generally a very introverted/shy/anxious person, and they excelled at being conversational without making me feel uncomfortable or awkward, especially when I was already nervous due to symptoms I was having. (It was just a common cold, and I was advised to stay home until my symptoms passed to avoid giving anyone similar false alarms, given there was another surge of COVID-19 at the time.)The reason for the review is that, 8 months later (July), I received a bill for 400$ that should have been covered by insurance. Vicki is a MVP. I spoke to her, and she got in touch with the insurance company to find out I wasnt active on their side. The problem ended up boiling down to an error in the original paperwork on file with the insurance company- my date of birth was wrong.When I called the insurance company, the customer service representative was exceptionally unprofessional, rude, and impatient. As the information they had on file was incorrect, Vicki was not comfortable potentially violating HIPPA to disclose my information to someone claiming to be from an insurance company with incorrect information without my presence. I wholeheartedly agree with Vickis assessment of the situation, and during a merged call, the customer service representative was extremely rude, speaking over her, asking who the manager was, and expecting Vicki to be capable of doing the billing companys job. During the entire confrontation, Vicki remained professional and polite, explained what her action plan was to resolve what she was capable of.I have immense gratitude and respect for the integrity and professionalism Vicki displayed in a heated situation.

Hands down the best free standing emergency clinic ever! Dr. Jackson and his team are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and cared for quickly and efficiently. If you want the absolute best care for you and your family, look no further!

Patient care was fine except for a botched blood draw that left my girlfriends right arm bruised and swollen for several days, they seemed to have arrived at the correct diagnosis. However, before we even received a diagnosis or care instructions or any information regarding the severe and scary pain she was experiencing, someone came in demanding payment (she was self pay unfortunately) and would not provide information about her status. Since the sum was several thousand dollars I offered to pay a portion until I could get my accounts in order (it was Sunday). She seemed almost insulted by this, and insisted I must pay in full (or else). Eventually she relented when I insisted several times and came back and tried to charge my card the amount we agreed to, but their machine was broken, making the whole point moot. The next day they contacted my girlfriend and had a conversation which she described as aggressive, and was under the impression it had to be paid by 3 or their would be consequences, something Emergicare denies. Ill give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a misunderstanding and that they didnt try to strongarm a sick women for thousands of dollars. I called back on my lunch hour and paid in full. All that drama for nothing. I truly feel sorry for people who arent as fortunate as me because I can only describe the experience as relentless and merciless.This was certainly a bitter taste of the American health care system which puts profits above patients. Do yourself a favor and just go to a hospital ER, youre not going to save any money coming to Emergicare and youll save yourself an ambulance trip to a real hospital. As it stands theyre ending their status as a standalone ER and simply becoming an urgent care, take that as a sign.

The staff was really nice. Great customer service I got in and out within an hour. The Dr. J Jackson came in to do his assignment and gave me what I needed and I was able to be on my way. The rest of the staff was real nice I filled out my paper and they help with questions. The assistant told me what I needed to do and it got done he was very efficient. Ive had to go here twice for post-surgical pain. The treatment you receive depends on which doctor you see, so call ahead if you need something specific. Dr. Jackson has been very helpful in guiding me and resolving any issues. Thank you!

I was able to walk in and receive exemplary care almost immediately (paperwork first). The facility is very nice, and very professional, as were all the staff that I encountered. The Dr. Was very thorough in all of his explanations to me. When I left, I felt better and I knew a lot more about my illness.If I have another emergency, I will definitely go back.

Was in severe pain that I was doing my best to stay calm strong ask questions but honestly manager lady came from the back die not greet me like the front desk had instead she talked about me like asking whats she saying as I I wasnt r right there...no smile no sympathy just direct and cold I def wont be seen at a place like that who knows how the rest of them in the back will be. Side note front desk sooo nice willing and ready to hear concerns answer questions ahes awesome if the other staff was like her I maybe would have said screw my job and stayed bc of the pain but I rather just go allthe way yo my actual dr then spend extra money where Im made to feel like Im annoying...

I was received by a friendly yet professional employee, who helped me fill out all the required information. Then the test for Covid was done with utmost gentleness. I really thought it was going to be a nightmare from what I hear from people. But it was painless and almost no discomfort at all. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the facility clean and sterilized and the doctor was thorough. My loudest shout out goes to the nurse who walked me through the process and gave me a great advice. Thank you. I recommend this clinic to all my friends and family.

Thank you for taking such great care of me on my recent visit. I have never been to the emergency room for pain. It was scary. I probably wasn’t the easiest patient yet felt well cared for and nobody made me feel like a crazy lady for showing up in the middle of the night in my pjs and robe. Hopefully I do not have to do such a thing again but if so I’ll be more comfortable knowing that I’ll be in good hands.

A little late in writing this review but I owe this facility and attending physician my life. When I thought I was having a heart attack, I drove here from home. Not my wisest move. They immediately hooked me up to every machine possible and after awhile stated, they did not think I was having a heart attack but something was definitely going on. I was ready to leave and after a serious discussion with the doctor, I agreed to be admitted to Memorial Hermann in the Medical Center. Thirty six hours later, my heart was given a clean bill of health but I was diagnosed with lung cancer. Had the doctor not had a strong suspicion there was a problem, I would have left and no telling when I would have found out about the cancer. THANK YOU!

I had a great experience. From when you walk in they are extremely welcoming and friendly. I went in with intense pain and they did everything to make me feel comfortable and find a solution. I had an amazing nurse named Moses who was extremely kind and helpful. The doctor was quick to respond, very kind and informative This is by far the best experience Ive encountered. Definitely recommend their services.

I cannot thank the doctors, and staff enough at EmergiCare! Thanks to my cat, I slipped and busted my head open. Not only did the nurses and doctor see me immediately, but I was able to make a payment plan with them. I did not have insurance at the time, I had to pay out of pocket. If I had gone to a traditional ER I would have been faced with $$$$$ bill. I highly recommend. Also, Vicki is just a genuinely good person, and she made my monthly payments quick, easy, and friendly.

The staff at the EmergiCare center were awesome and took good care of my girlfriend. There was barely any wait time, as we were taken care of right away. Dr. Madain MD was a very cool and nice Doc, he was very knowledgeable and performed good quality care. I dont know about all the other negative reviews, but we do recommend going here. The nice thing is that theyre open 24hrs as well.

I recently moved to the Clear Lake area, shortly after on the fourth of July I had an injury requiring an x-ray and blindly went into the EmergiCare facility in our area. It was the BEST experience I have ever had at an emergency room. The nurses were kind and helpful. The process was quick, the Doctor was attentive and truly listened. They even helped me out to the car when it was all over. I would highly recommend this facility.

Staff was extremely rude and impatient when I asked about billing.I called and booked an appoint for a Covid test the day before my appointment. Showed up 10 mins early to begin the paperwork. When I called to notify the staff of my arrival the gentleman was polite.Then comes Vickie to handle all the paperwork. When I asked about the cost of the test she abruptly replied “you can call your insurance for that” when I pressed further she relented that the test was $300 out of pocket with their “self pay discount” (what a deal!). When I asked if she had anymore information again she says to call my insurance. So I informed her that I would do so prior to getting tested. That when she lost what little patience she had.Vickie returned inside while I phoned my insurance company, something she had already done. When I called Emergicare to further inquire what all I was going to be billed for she was extremely rude and impatient, shouting over me and then transferred the call to her presumed supervisor who was only slightly more willing to answer my questions.WHATS WRONG WITH ASKING THE PRICE BEFORE I AGREE TO THE SERVICE?!?!?!Stay away folks. The staff makes it clear they are only their for your money.

I cant tell you how much my husband and I appreciate the professionalcare we received at EmergiCare. The whole staff is so friendly andcaring. We had NO wait and felt like we were in the best place toget the proper care needed for the time. They proved us completelyright!!! All the tests needed were done ASAP, prescriptions done,and referrals taken care of. Have been to this clinic twice and willbe there again if needed.

The EmergiCare staff was absolutely amazing! I had a bad case of tonsillitis late at night and didn’t want to go to an expensive emergency room. This was a very positive experience for me. The EmergiCare was so clean and orderly - and comfortable. Dr. English was on call that day and the headache I had for two weeks was gone in 30 minutes after the correct medication was given. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Staff was very attentive and I didnt have to wait long to be seen or to get tests done. The only issue I had, and why Im not giving 5 stars, was the wait time from once I got the xrays done, to the time I was given the results, was close to an hour. Ive been there once before a few years ago and did not experience this kind of wait. I will go there again and would definitely refer them to friends and family!

From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted by amazing staff who immediately had us moved to a room, to which we are greeted by the physician. I’ve been to Emergicare multiple times and every visit has been wonderful, no matter what my issue was. I’ve gone for things like minor asthma attacks and more major issues like when i had complications from my wisdom teeth removal, and every instance i was met with friendly, welcoming staff who took me seriously and treated me with the utmost care. The facility is clean and roomy, and the lobby is very catering with a coffee maker and snacks for visitors. The staff are all extremely nice and reassuring, and even for more stressful procedures (i hate needles and getting stuck for IVs makes me very anxious) they are reassuring and make you feel safe and comfortable. They are my go-to emergency facility in the clear lake area and I wouldnt go anywhere else for treatment.

Just calling and asking for help was miserable! Angie was more worried about correcting my wording than asking about the care of the patient or the symptoms for the reason for coming in. Or the risk of exposure i would be giving my grandson. Treating me as if i was stupid for asking. On that alone i would never go here. Her thoughtless and rude behavior was belittling and uncalled for.

I visited the EmergiCare on Falcon Pass for the thrid time within 5 years early Sunday morning around 2 am. Two of those times I went to the Local Hospital ERs first and was told they werent sure when I would be able to see a doctor since there were always 8 or more people before me.Thats when we discovered EmergiCare! They are awesome!!! So friendly, quick acting, very knowledgeable and very thorough. I was impressed all three times Ive used them. Save yourself time and money...go to EmergiCare first!!

I took my young daughter here tonight after going to three other places that couldnt take us, or the wait was outrageous. The staff was personable, polite and efficient. We were in and out in less than an hour including X-rays. I would for sure recommend them to others, and will for sure be using them again should the need arise.

I had billing questions regarding my daughters visit for bee sting. The director spent time going over the bill with me. He understood the situation and work with me to settle down the bill. They do take care of their patients.

After getting the medicine I needed from Walgreen next door, I started feeling better within just a couple of hours, amazing. Everyone should be aware that just walking in the door to this facility is a $1000 charge. This is not an urgent care facility. Its a privatized emergency room that does not and WILL NOT disclose their charging practices prior to providing service, then racks up any charges they can. If you can go to any other medical provider, DO NOT GO HERE. This should be seen as an absolute last resort.

Excellent - thorough care !

I went to Emergicare on a Friday night after my regular doctors office was closed. I was immediately greeted with a warm smile and felt more at ease with my situation. Emergicare was extremely professional, everything was clean and I truly felt that I was being taken care of. I am so glad that I found Emergicare and while I hope that no one ever has an emergency situation, things happen and I would highly recommend them if you do.

My sister was having terrible stomach pains. They treated her fast with IV fluids and nausea meds. They were very courteous and helpful.

I do not normally take the time to do reviews, but the quality and timeliness of care I received at this facility surpassed my expectations. With three kids, we have landed in our fair share of urgent cares and have been bitterly disappointed. I decided to give this stand alone ER a try. From the time I arrived, until the time I was discharged, the the care was seamless. The wait was so short I didnt have time to finish my ppw. The nursing staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Dr Curka was very thorough and I felt confident with his dx. I would highly recommend this convenient facility and competent staff to anyone in need of ER care.

Great staff and great service!!!Ive been there twice now, The first time was for major pain on both sides by my kidneys. Which was diagnosed to being Kidney stones. The medical staff took care of me like I was a part of their family, very kind and very caring. The second time that I went to Emericare I had shortness of breath and having chest pains. the medical team jumped to action and had me in my own room and on several different machines. If it wasnt for there expertise I may not be here today. Thank you Emericare for saving my life.

The worst place to go! Please choose any where else but here! I was attacked and sustained multiple injuries especially to my face. I awoke confused and losing bits of memory I took an uber which brought me here because it was the closest place for an emergency. As I walked in still disoriented I somehow rememebered asking if they took the student healthcare from UHCL. I could barely fill out paperwork and when I got to explaining what happened to the doctor I could only recall bits of it. Well I guess this annoyed the doctor because he started criticizing what I was saying. I just felt unwelcomed and hurt on top of the trauma I just went through. After speaking to a therapist and looking back on it now I still do not understand why I was treated so rudely. Now I get a bill and they werent even in UHCL healthcare network.

Let me start off by saying that my visit to Emergicare was for a work related injury that I sustained offshore. I work for a major international offshore company and, after my visit to Emergicare, my company has strictly concluded that they will never use this clinic again.I went here for mild pain in my lower abdomen (which ended up being a BB-sized umbilical hernia). Despite normal blood test and an inconclusive CT scan, Dr. English diagnosed me with appendicitis and required that I travel by ambulance (because they hooked me up to an IV) to the hospital for immediate surgery. When they called me in for surgery at the hospital, I declined because I was not convinced that I had appendicitis due to there being no consistency in the tests. After a 24-hour stay in the hospital for them to monitor me, the surgeon eventually told me that I without a doubt, do NOT have appendicitis and discharged me immediately. This visit was a couple months ago and after several more doctors visits from other clinics, I can also verify that I did not and do not have appendicitis. If I would have not been hesitant about the surgery, they would have removed my appendix on Dr. Englishs diagnosis. You can imagine the costs associated with a mandatory ambulance ride and a 24 hour hospital stay - all for nothing.I will never use the clinic again and Dr. English should be ashamed of his medical practices.***Take my warning, stay away from this clinic!***
