I was referred to Dr. Brownfield by a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry who also happens to be a trusted friend and valued client.I have found Dr. Brownfield and her staff to be nothing but polite, professional and considerate. I have had several major procedures and amazingly, I have never experienced any pain that could not be controlled by Ibuprofen. Dr. Brownfield has taken her time to explain procedures, possible consequences and has always been totally available after procedures to address any and all concerns. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I was referred to Dr. Lauren Brownfield by my dentist (Dr. Susan Latimer). I am 100% satisfied with the expertise and care I received, and I recommend Dr. Brownfield without reservations. I required periodontal surgery that included a bone graft and a gum graft. It was uncertain if my tooth would be saved, and Dr. Brownfield made sure I understood my options and potential outcomes. The surgery itself went very well. I left her office with a full complement of post-operative instructions and Dr. Brownfield called me personally to make sure I was OK. The level of discomfort was minimal and short lived. The bone graft took six months for a full recovery. During this time, several post-operative follow-up visits were scheduled and Dr. Brownfield’s care and concern were evident throughout. Six months later, my tooth is firmly seated and feels normal. Ive been a patient of Dr. Brownfield for a year and a half. When we initially met, I was dealing with a complicated problem with no clear solution. Dr. Brownfield was enthusiastic about helping me. She worked closely with my orthodontist to help achieve results in significantly less time than expected. I had two operations under Dr. Brownfield: PAOO and dental implants. Both experiences were wonderful. Her whole staff is patient, kind and respectful. Theyre great about communicating efficiently and effectively. I cannot recommend Dr. Brownfield enough.

Had periodontal surgery in April 2019. Dr. Brownfield was one of two periodontist recommended by my dentist. I consulted with both periodontists and liked Dr. Brownfields approach and full explanation of the procedure. Shes a perfectionist and did a great job. My dentist was impressed with the work I had done and commented Dr. B does some of the best work they see.

I highly recommend Dr. Brownfield, who I’ve been seeing since this past April. She has performed two implants and soft tissue work. I’m not a straightforward patient - I have a lot of dental challenges and I’m a huge scaredy cat. I really trust her guidance on what needs to be done. She is extremely knowledgeable and explains each procedure so that I understand what to expect. She takes the time to call each evening following a procedure to see how things are going. I appreciate the way she works with my dentist and orthodontist to coordinate the best plan. And I can’t say enough great things about her staff. They are caring and patient and work together exceptionally well. Go see them!

I am 71 years old. Last October I fell while running in a 5k race and suffered some major dental damage. The following Monday morning I visited my regular longtime dentist (Dr. Ruth Harvey) who did 3 hours of emergency temporary repairs and referred me to Dr. Lauren Brownfield for further evaluation. Dr Brownfield explained options, set a plan to monitor, and deferred making any decisions to give nature a chance to improve the situation. She and Dr. Harvey at all times kept in contact and worked as a great team. Anyway, in late February I had a 3 hour surgery by Dr. Brownfield and immediately afterward back to Dr Harvey for another temporary cap as planned. Have had several follow up visits since and everything going well. In another month or so Dr Harvey can start the final stages of this restoration process. I cant say enough about the these doctors and their respective staffs. They are knowledgeable and professional in every respect and do everything possible to make you comfortable. Could not recommend more. The very very best

I could not recommend Dr. Brownfield more highly for anyone needing a periodontist - she has truly been a God-send to me and changed my life! I came to her two years ago in chronic dental pain after experiencing a series of worst-case scenarios after a dental procedure. Other dental specialists were stumped as to what was causing my pain, but Dr. Brownfield’s expertise in complex cases like mine resulted in me getting the treatments I’ve needed by both her and other specialists she has connected me to. As a result, I am now pain free, and my quality of life has dramatically improved. I truly can’t thank her enough for all that she has done for me over the past two years and will continue to do for me in the coming years as I finish up some of the remaining corrective treatment needed to prevent future issues.On top of her being brilliant and skilled at what she does, she’s also extremely compassionate, and was emotionally supportive to me during the times I needed it most when I was really struggling with chronic pain. I mean it when I say that I don’t know what I would have done without her help. I’m so grateful we have such an amazing periodontist like her here in Houston and would recommend anyone to see her who needs this type of specialist.

So disappointed. As a former employee I thought it would be best to get my daughter the best help from the greatest periodontist I know. I went in for my daughter to get a cbct scan and waited to be scheduled for a virtual exam, since I work for a hospital and I’m on a covid unit. I contacted the office for 3 weeks to schedule and every time my response was “I will check with Dr. Brownfield and get a date for your consultation and give you a call back”. Ok, never happened. Finally on the 4th week I called and asked for a refund since I didn’t get a consultation or go over the cbct scan. Now I’m being told by staff and the doctor that I can only get a refund for the exam since I never received it. But not for my scan... that I did absolutely nothing with. I’m more than welcome to pick up my scan. Which is not fair since I’m the one that called the office once a week and felt like I wasn’t wanted so I asked for refund so I wouldn’t feel so awkward any more. Now I’m being shamed for asking for my money back even though I got nothing out of a $200 scan. I’m not like most people that can afford that. I hope no one experiences this.

For the last seven months, Dr. Brownfield and her staff have been nothing short of wonderful. I needed an implant in July and so far the process has been great. Today, I called with an emergency and I was in the chair no more than 20 minutes later. Kelly, Wendy, Amanda and Dr. Brownfield stopped everything they were doing to take care of me. I am so happy I was able to find this wonderful group of women here in Houston!

I had a complicated case because of an infection and bone loss around my original dental implants which were needed because of an auto accident in college. Dr. Lauren Brownfield and her team were so professional; they worked closely with my regular dentist, Dr. Testa, who had referred me to her. I had no pain, swelling, bruising, or nausea throughout four procedures; she exceeded my expectations and then some. I cannot say enough kind words about her manner (she really listens and is honest) and her technical expertise! Thank you Dr. Brownfield!

Dr. Brownfield is the first doctor, in 15 years, to not only understand my complicated periodontal issues, but also to look at the systemic causes of them. She taught me how to understand all of the interconnected symptoms and what to do about them. She is amazing! I wish she was my internist too!

Dr. Brownfield and her staff were great! I had a lot of anxiety before the surgery removal of my tori which is extra bone in my mouth. Dr. Brownfield thoroughly explained what the procedure and recovery would entail. The surgery was a success with very little pain and the recovery was just as anticipated thanks to Dr. Brownfield and her team. I wish I would have done the surgery sooner! I dubbed her The Gum Whisperer she has successfully re grown my bone and fixed up my gums . My teeth and gums look awesome. If you follow her post op rules and do your part with after care its a guaranteed success. Word of advice if you need bone grafting , gum recontouring or implants go to her or at least another perio specialist. Regular dentists dont have the skills. I know I tried a few of them before Dr. B and the surgeries they performed were utter failures. Not to mention she is super funny.

After some bone loss in one tooth, I went to Dr. Brownfield for an evaluation. After an MRI, I returned to learn that the tooth could not be saved, but needed to be pulled. Then a bone graft, post, etc...for a total cost of $5500. I agreed, signed a form and paid down $500 against the charge of the first step of the process. I would lose the $500 if I did not show.Prior to the surgery, I was at an endodontist to follow up on a root canal. She checked the tooth that Brownfield wanted to pull, and told me it could in fact be saved! My personal dentist looked at the reports of both experts, and agreed the tooth could be saved.I am rating Brownfield a ONE, not on technical aspects, which I dont know, but rather on Ethical grounds. She refused to return the $500.00, when it turned out her diagnosis was wrong, that I could save the tooth and canceled the appt with her. Buyer Beware, especially if you are paying out of pocket, get a 2nd opinion and dont sign anything.. I paid her a total of $850 and got nothing but a bad diagnosis.

I will say that I am still a bit drugged up after having a procedure yesterday ;) , but so far this experience with Dr.Bownfield, and her entire staff, has truly blown my mind. Never have I ever recieved the amount of professionalism, kindness, and overall care from such lovely people. If you are terrified of doctors/dental procedures, I would highly recommend her office. They are polite, honest, and willing to explore every possible option with you.
