I had a cavity filled there less than a year ago. It popped out so I went in to see what they could do. I am 8 months pregnant. I am terrified of the dentist because of some past traumas and usually need to be sedated to have major dental work done. Not only did they not take responsibility for the filling coming out - the hygenist said to me howre you going to have a baby if you cant even get dental work done without anesthesia. NOPE. I wont be returning to a place where they are this insensitive to patients.

Way overpriced! I received a treatment plan from them that was 2-3x times more expensive than other local dentists I compared to. When comparing quotes, I was even told that they tried charging for things that other offices dont charge for. This was my first stop, and when I asked if these prices are standard they told me I may be able to find cheaper services in the ghetto...

Came here for a second opinion on price, and this was a great decision. had a little confusion when calling to request the 2nd opinion, but after that was resolved, i had a really great experience. no wait, knowledgeable and experienced professionals, & newest technology. very attentive to detail to line my crown out just right;in case you are newer to dental insurance, what i have noticed is that all the people that answer the phone at a dentist office say that they take/ honor prices of all insurances. this is mostly true for cleanings perhaps, but perhaps not for other types of work. if you have metlife, i would strongly, strongly encourage you to consider Design Dental (note: review written 10/20)

I have had a positive experience working with the team at Design Dental Group. I have been a patient here for a few years. The office is very contemporary and well maintained. There is plenty of parking, waiting room is welcoming, and there is a variety of treats if you are waiting on a friend or loved one. All equipment is in great condition and office overall is very hygienic. The office uses a great appointment reminder system, that texts you a week before and day of your appointment. There is no way you could forget! Dr. Bibb is very kind and non-judgmental, extremely professional. The hygienist and dental assistant ensure that each patient understands how to care for and clean their mouth. I had not been to the dentist for a few years prior to my visit and the team worked with me to establish a care plan to get my teeth in great shape again. I feel supported and encouraged after I leave my appointments. If you live in the Rice Military area, Design Dental Group is the place for your dental care.

I have tried many phone calls, emails and messages through their online contact system every few months over the last year, trying to get in touch with them about the incorrect claim they submitted to my insurance. No one has ever responded to me (or if they answer the phone they say they will call back after looking into it and then do not call). It is very frustrating and I refuse to go back until it is resolved because I dont want ANOTHER incorrect claim to be filed.

My family and I got dental work August/September 2019. I paid upfront because my dental insurance can be tricky. Its April and I still have not received a refund for what my insurance paid. At first the receptionist gave me the run around. Even avoided my calls. She got fired and another contacted me. She seemed nice and said she would try and straighten out the issue. This was over a month ago. I paid with my credit card with expectation to have my refund within the 6 months. At this point Im now paying interest for this work.

The team at Design Dental is fantastic! I was with my previous dentist for over a decade, but they no longer accepted my insurance. Unfortunately, I broke a tooth one day, and was forced into finding a new dentist immediately. I struck gold! Dr. Bibb and her team were incredibly understanding and got me in right away. Everyone was very pleasant and seemed truly happy to be doing their jobs - which is a rarity! Thanks to the team at Design Dental - I have found my new dental home!!

This will be my forever dentist. The staff knows me by my nickname . This is not just a dentist it’s a family. Upon arriving to my appointment I was already checked in. They even have magazines, breath mint, and water for you in the lobby .I was taken back and my teeth are clean by an amazing professional. I always get the same person to clean my teeth .After my teeth are cleaned Dr.Bibbs Looks at them and always tells me that I have no cavities. I have been cavity free since forever this place has taught me how to care for my teeth. Another thing that makes this place so amazing is that while your teeth are getting cleaned you can watch TV on the mounted TVs in every room! Trust me this is the best dentist you’ll ever find.

I tried to schedule an appointment to see Dr Bibb. I was referred by a friend. I walked in last week on Tuesday.The receptionist with black hair and long eye lashes told me they were closed. She took my name and number down but never called me back.I guess I will never get to meet the Dr that was highly recommended to me now. Bad business. Please keep in mind I was bringing in a family of five to this dental office as possible new patient /customers . Unprofessional and rude front desk lady I wish I could of gotten her name .

I have been a patient at this office for several years now. While the experience started out well, customer service has devolved to the point that I will be taking my business elsewhere.It all started last November. I called to make an appointment for a routine cleaning. They told me I couldnt make an appointment right now because they were full but to call back in December to make an appointment. So I called back in December.In December I couldnt make an appointment because they were full. I asked to schedule whenever they had availability in the future and they told me they werent making any appointments past the end of the year because the doctor was making some changes in which insurances she accepted. They offered to let me be on a waiting list if someone canceled and told me to call back in January.At this point I was pretty annoyed but I had been with them for several years so I decided to try again. I called late January / early February and asked to schedule an appointment. The woman who answered the phone said she thought they might have availability that week and asked if she could call me right back. I said yes. In a shocking turn of events, she didnt call back.I called the next day to follow up and got sent to voicemail. I left a message explaining the entire timeline of events and asking them to return my call within one business day or I would assume they no longer wished for me to be a patient. Still NEVER heard from them and its been several weeks.I am thoroughly disgusted with the treatment of a long-time patient. Theres clearly something going on at this office. I never had a problem with their dental care and, in fact, often recommended them. Well, no more. Doesnt matter how great you are if you have abysmal customer service. See ya!

Dr. Bibb and the staff at Design Dental are by far the friendliest, most professional, and caring group of professionals you will ever meet. I have never had a bad encounter in 7 years. They are very accommodating to your needs and work with and around your schedule. I will continue to drive 40 minutes (or more if I ever move) be seen there. You will not be disappointed!!

I have a great experience every time I come here. Everyone is friendly and very professional. I’ve changed jobs and they are no longer in my insurance network. It takes me more than 30 minutes to get here, but I love it so much here, I’ll make the sacrifice.

Honestly the visit was perfectly fine and everyone was nice, but I was vastly overcharged for cleaning. They tried to tell me that this was some special detailed cleaning that they were giving me. However, this seemed like the exact same cleaning with the exact same tools I got a year earlier without insurance at a quarter of the price. This place WILL rob you if you go there.

My girlfriend at the time (now wife) introduced me to Design Dental Group when I moved to Houston. They have always done a great job taking care of my cleanings and whitening services. I LOVE this place. The staff is so friendly at all stages of interaction, from phone calls to the office visit. The office has a really nice look and feel to it as well. I like all the natural light coming in through the large windows. And of course, Dr. Bibb is incredible. Now.... this is coming from a person with a very low tolerance to pain and traumatic dental experiences as a child. She is attentive and understanding of my initial discomfort and adjusted her approach accordingly. Its always a blessing to find a positive experience in a service that youve tried to avoid. Im not one to do reviews, but Ive been coming for a few years now, and I just couldnt not do one. Yes, this practice has even inspired me to use double negatives comfortably.

Theyre great! I love Dr. Bibb. Shes so nice and the office is so clean. I really appreciate how quickly they clean my teeth. Only downfall is that they fill up so you cant get a cleaning appointment super quick, but then again I just schedule them as I leave. Very much recommend!

I went to Design Dental Group for the first time and I was very pleased with the experience: the staff was very friendly and professional, the locals were clean and Dr Bibbs and her assistants were very gentle and did a great job with my cleaning.

I have 2 preventative regular teeth cleanings through my dental plan yearly for which I pay the regular monthly premium plus $5 for the copay for the regular cleaning.This Design Dental Group on Washington refused to do a regular cleaning stating that I needed a deep cleaning. I said I couldnt afford the deep cleaning but they still refused to do a regular cleaning. They also insulted me by saying youve never had braces, have you? I felt that was a pretty rude way of saying that. I had braces as a teenager, they just want to sell extra products they offer like braces and dont care how they treat their patients.

I have been a patient here for over a year and my experience has been pretty good as far as dentist go. I travel frequently and they have been amazing at accommodating last minute changes in my schedule. I enjoy the the atmosphere and Dr. Bibb and her hygienist are top notch.

Good Morning Design Dental,I give you all 1 star because of the one person in the office staff that offered me water. I was sitting in the waiting room and the fridge was right next to me and she came from behind her desk to where I was sitting to grab the water. Talk about service! But it stops here after that! After I had x-rays done, the hygienist discussed the periodontal maintenance procedure and said that I had to get it done. I started questioning the procedure and she showed me my x-rays. Now a year ago, they claimed that I had periodontal disease and I had to come get my teeth cleaned every 3-4 months for maintenance. Now it has been a year and 3 months since I had been to their office and they were so upset with me because it had been that long. The hygienist said that my teeth would be worst because I did not have the periodontal maintenance done in over a year. So I took the x rays last week and I requested to see them and guess what.........my teeth actually got better and bone was reforming. Hummmmm the hygienist just scolded me earlier that periodontal maintenance was a must.....or is it? I began to think that nothing was even wrong with my teeth...... I think they just wanted money for unnecessarily procedures. I am in my 30s and I have always received a basic cleaning, I have never had anything done major to my teeth. I am glad I trusted my instincts.....I wish I would had read these reviews before I came into the office! To the office assistant that I adore, you know who you are.....you have an awesome personality and design dental group doesnt deserve a person like you. I wish you the best

Mealanie has been my dentist for the past two years and I’m very pleased with the care she has provided. She is in a great location with professional staff and gentle dental assistants. I have had six crowns performed due to excessive wear by grinding as a kid but they were able to customize a night guard to prevent any further damage. I am absolutely grateful that my crowns match my natural color and restored my original bite back. I love that they have LED TV’s mounted in front of the dental chairs to watch cable while they clean my teeth or while waiting for a temporary crowns to be molded. I look forward to having my teeth clean in a couple of months and the exceptional care I receive every year.

Dr. Bibb and her staff were excellent. This was my first visit. They were friendly, efficient, and concerned for my comfort. When going to a new dentist, Im always concerned about being up-sold into more expensive treatments - none of that here! We discussed some long standing dental issues I have and Dr. Bibbs suggestion was to continue to monitor and see how things progress - quite a reasonable plan. And they did a great job with my cleaning!All around, Im very pleased. 5 stars!

Take your teeth anywhere else! Waited 40 minutes in the lobby. Went in and after 30 minutes of X-rays and measurements, only cleaning they are willing to do would be $600 out of pocket and that’s with Cigna PPO. Frustrated these type of scam dentists are even allowed.

DO NOT GO HERE! I came in to have my teeth cleaned and they told me I had gum disease and needed a deep cleaning with novocaine. The dentist also told me I needed 4 fillings but didnt even show me the X-rays. I decided to get a 2nd opinion at District Dental on White Oak (highly recommend), and they showed me X rays - I had NO cavities. They also cleaned my teeth with no problem and said I had a little bit of gum issues on my bottom front teeth but nothing to worry about. I cant even believe that these people have medical licenses and were going to unnecessarily drill in to my teeth!!

Had to have had my best cleaning ever yesterday. Enjoyed the staff there, very friendly.

Three years ago I started to have severe pain in three of my teeth. I called several dental offices, but nobody would accept my HMO insurance. Finally, a co-worker referred me to her dentist, Dr. Bibb, who she had been seeing for years and highly recommended. Dr. Bibb and her team took such great care of me from start to finish! When I called, they told me they would gladly accept my insurance and work with me on any amount I owed out of pocket. Because I was having pain, Dr. Bibb was kind enough to work me into her busy schedule right away. Dr. Bibb was able to save two of my teeth by crowning them. Unfortunately, the third tooth could not be saved. However, Dr. Bibb gave me a referral to a great oral surgeon, who was able to extract the tooth quickly before it gave me any further problems. Since seeing Dr. Bibb, I haven’t had any more issues with my teeth. I’d like to sincerely thank Dr. Bibb and the entire Design Dental Team for providing me with such a great experience! Dont recommend going here unless you want a sales pitch. They had me listen to a 25 minute infomercial about invisalign instead of cleaning my teeth and this was AFTER I told them I wasnt interested. Dr. Melanie Bibbs missed her calling and should have gone into sales.

I had no issues with the hygienist or dentist who did the regular cleanings/check-ups but I was disappointed when I decided to switch (for personal reasons) and I was informed that there was a charge to get my records sent to me. After complaining, I was not charged the fee but Im still surprised this is standard practice.

***UPDATE***Despite all that happened, The front office staff, although were polite, apparently read this review before calling to reschedule, And instead of trying to correct these issues as a one would expect a professional would do, they refused to see me. When I asked what they took issue with on the review, they said the second cancelation was incorrect and the statement that they didnt have their act together was troublesome. When I asked to be connected to the dentist Voicemail- they couldnt do it~ It is unfortunate because the dentist and the staff in the back were very nice. I was never rude or raised my voice. And would have edited my review to reflect how they handled this situation. Nothing I have written is inaccurate and the statement that they didnt have their act together was true on this day.******I had to wait a month to get an appointment for my cleaning. It was rescheduled twice and I had to call back to finally get an appointment because I was not called back. I went in and filled out all the new patient forms and was taken back told I needed pictures, they were taken the dentist came to have a look and I had a couple of SMALL cavities (just saw the another dentist 6 months ago) had to switch bc of insurance. I was given the treatment plan and it was over $1500- to be fair they had to replace a crown bc mine was loose. I found a charge that should not have been there. I asked them if they had the right ins information and they assured me over and over that I did. I was going to do the cavities and cleaning and pay almost $400 anyway bc I didnt want to wait another month. Then they said they were to far behind and could not preform the cleaning I had waited a month for. Really?? if that wasnt enough I had to PAY for an office visit that WAS NOT going to be credited to the $1500 worth of dental they were charging me. I asked why wasnt I told about the Fee at the time of the appointment or when I filled out all the new patient forms.. HERE IS THE KICKER- after all of that I called the insurance and they had the WRONG PLAN!! I should have not paid anything at check out! Oh an my cavities, they were anywhere NEAR what they wanted EVEN though I told them so! Try $5 to $100- I would have paid aprx $30 for the cavites and $5 for the cleaning. Although the Dr. was nice, they do not Have their act together. I should have listened to the reviews I read!!

Im giving one star because the front desk staff and gentleman who did the X-rays were extremely sweet. 1. I am very familiar with necessary and unnecessary medical treatment due to business because I am a medical provider. The dentist (not Dr. Bibb, I believe his name was Chris) may have wanted to ask me this before filling me in on all the unnecessary work I need done to my teeth/mouth. This morning, I went into have a filling that has fallen out repaired and a teeth cleaning. I walked out without either of those happening. Where does this happen? I had X-Rays taken, the dentist came in, looked at my damaged tooth and told me that he could fix it with a filling. He then told me about a few more cavities that I have that would require fillings. He then asked if I had ever had extensive gum treatment...no, and my gums dont bleed...which you would see if you cleaned my teeth like I came in for. He also told me that I need a crown for a cracked filling on a back tooth. To my knowledge, I dont even have a filling on that tooth! I was also sold and sold on the invisiline crap..I have one crooked tooth and a bit of an overbite, I dont care. Might have been a good idea to ask me if this really concerned me. So, after making me feel about an inch tall (well, maybe someone else would have, but I didnt), the dentist left. I assumed himself or a tech was returning to complete a teeth cleaning and at least put a filling in the one that had fallen out. Nope! A very nice gentleman came to my chair to show my extensive dental plan that they have worked out for me which consists of 4 appointments and a whopping total of 7,000 (including the invisiline...without, 4,000). This is with insurance! I can not believe I took the time to get a tooth fixed and walked out with nothing. Not only will I be writing this review, I also called my insurance provider and told a representative what happened. They were not surprised at all. I will not recommend anyone go to design dental and in fact, I will tell everyone I know to stay completely clear of this place.
