Hailey made my hair look amazing! I came in there with a un even copper color and dead ends along with some frizzy hair. Hailey completely transformed it. My hair felt so revived and no longer dry. Got rid of my dead ends and refreshed my color to this beautiful shade. 10/10 would highly recommend. I found my new salon and my new stylist

Quality of the service provided did not meet its value. I think you should at least have normal looking hair after 2 visits in the same day. Stylist should be skillful enough to implement a regular haircut request and maybe a little more attention to detail if it costs 45 dollars. That is the money that should be paid to a pro not someone who barely feels confident cutting hair.

Amazing experience today! The salon is SO clean, everyone was wearing masks, your temperature is taken when you arrive and all guests are socially distanced. Felt 100% confident in my safety during the service. The experience with Courtney was wonderful! She was kind and attentive. The scalp massage she gave with the shampoo was incredible. Highly recommend Vanity and Courtney!

I regularly book with Brittney. She’s so sweet and very talented. She does a great job of balancing between my requests and her creativity/what she thinks is best. I’ve had the perfect cut every time!

This place does a great job on hair. Especially if you like spending almost $500 a haircut including the tip. So if you want a place the charges $75 for a haircut, $100 for a base color, $100 for toner/highlights, etc, is appointment only and wont even give you cold soda to drink claiming quarantine regulations, then this is your place. Yes its the Heights, but Jesus Christ, its a haircut. I usually get a massage when I spend this kind of money. Come one come all.

I love this salon!! I went in and had my hair styled by Taylor and Alondra applied my make up for a work Christmas party, and they did an amazing job!! Not only was my hair and makeup fabulous, but Glenn from the salon went WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND. I left my keys at the salon and they somehow figured out they belonged to me, so Glenn called me to let me know. I was at my work Christmas party, but was supposed to leave early in the morning to head back to San Antonio. Glenn offered to take my keys with him, so I wouldnt have to miss any of my Christmas party, and gave me his number so we could meet up after. So grateful.I just moved to Houston and I think I found my salon.

I reviewed the original Vanity salon near Galleria almost 3 years ago now as excellent after I relocated from Chicago. I still go to Vanity, a lot of times to the Heights location from Sugar Land. Well worth the trip and the money. I get color, trim/cut, blowout and braz blowouts. I am always extremely pleased! Almost as important, the few occasions things didn’t come out as planned (I get a red shade of color every 4 weeks), the magic of Alex fixes me right up. With my crazy schedule, Glen is a whiz at reception. I highly recommend Alex for Color and Brittany for cut. I’ve had Gabby and a few other gals trim or give blow out and I always leave very happy! Lots of talent, good atmosphere and great attitudes here!!!

Really rude people.Edit: I tried to call and schedule an appointment. I was a customer of the Vanity Salon that shut down on San Felipe. I asked about my old stylist and the person on the phone was so rude, I ended up not booking.

Great Front desk, I was acknowledged as soon as I entered. Didnt have to wait to long for my appointment with Britney. She knew just what I wanted as far as my color, she explained the process and about how long it would take. She is very good.

I moved to Houston a while ago and I’ve been searching for an Aveda salon. I decided to check out Vanity due to its 5-star rating on Yelp. I came into the salon with high hopes, but left disappointed. I came in mid-day on a weekday, not a busy time. I was excited and ready for the Aveda experience I’ve had in the past at different salons which included excellent customer service, sensory rituals, great Aveda products, and an overall pleasant experience. Met with the stylist and explained to her what I wanted. I don’t bring pictures, because I hope for that same look, but it never turns out the same. So, I’ve learned to just tell my stylist what I’m looking for and let them work their magic. This time, however, it must have just not been a good stylist-client match. I explained what I wanted and she gave some suggestions. One of them being a dry cut. I’ve never had a dry cut and I will never have one again. I came in for an experience, but all I got was a haircut, literally. No Aveda products, no sensory rituals, average service. I trusted her, because all the other Aveda salon experiences I’ve had worked out well. I’ve tried styling my hair different ways, but over the past few days my disappointment has grown and I’m really unhappy with my haircut. The stylist was nice and funny, but I can’t stand looking at my hair right now. I won’t return to this salon and my search for a new stylist continues on. Glenn was great though in scheduling my appointment and helping me with the bill!

Worst experience EVER in a salon!!! In addition to NOT getting anything resembling the cut or color I asked for, I sat in silence with my stylist Melyssa for 3 hours and 10 minutes of the 3 and 1/2 hours I was there. After trying for 20 minutes to make awkward conversation with her I stopped trying. I was so tense at the end of my experience, not at all relaxed in the way I’m used to after going to a beauty salon. I was very specific when I called to make my appointment about what I wanted done and was concerned with how young Melyssa was when I arrived. The more I look at what she did I feel like my hair was the victim of her youth and inexperience, but then the scheduler should have known better than to put me in her chair if she couldn’t handle anything beyond safe, geriatric, and run of the mill. Shame on him! I showed Melyssa a picture of a slightly inverted lob with silver, purple, and pink streaks and what I got is a pale brown mullet with supposed pieces of faded “purple” that are so indistinguishable from the rest of my hair that when my husband came to see the results he said, “I thought you were getting purple highlights?” I spent 3 and a 1/2 hours in salon and spent $408. We discussed price beforehand and found it was going to be an additional $100 to put in the purple and “as close to white as possible” highlights so it’s extremely frustrating to not see either in my hair. Why would a patron agree to an extra expense to NOT be able to see the results??? When I asked about not being able to see the colored highlights Melyssa explained that it was a good thing if I was in shock from her haircut that nothing else too drastic could be seen. On the contrary if I was wanting to SEE purple and white streaks in my hair the only thing worse than the terrible haircut is the $300 I paid for all the color-NONE of which can be seen AT ALL!!!! I asked Melyssa to fix the cut by making it a graduated bob and the results are I’m now searching for a stylists that can maybe fix it by making it into a pixie cut. If I could rate this experience with negative stars I would.

Melyssa is our family hair stylist and probably will be for a long time. I have been to many barber shops and hair salons in the past and no one can get it right. Melyssa can handle any male hair style Ive thrown at her and she makes it it look great! Not to mention my wifes hair. She has done color and cuts that make my wifes hair look amazing. Melyssa cuts our 2 year olds hair as well and is very patient with kids. Id highly recommend going her to see Melyssa at this great new location in the heights.
