Angelisa Sumuel was amazing …I only come for a deep conditioner before I get braids she recommended a scalp treatment and dandruff treatment which felt so good on my bed and I left and still haven’t seen a dandruff in my head .. I will definitely be back to get another treatment once these braids are out ..

If this is your first time making an appointment, I would not recommend using the appointment portal—I would recommend contacting the stylist directly. What good is making an appointment through the portal if the stylist does not check schedule until only minutes before the scheduled appointment. This is what happened to me. I was minutes away from leaving my home to scheduled and confirmed appointment, when the stylist finally calls, questions services wanted, only to basically state that she could not provide the service that day. Thankfully I had not left my home already! Anyway, this may have been a blessing in disguise! I directly contacted another stylist, and got an appointment that same day; and so far I am satisfied with this stylist.

While I will still return to salon meyerland cause this was my first bad experience I felt I needed to leave a review. I received passion twist. And they started falling out the same day. Went back got it put back in. Now a few days later more started coming out. I didn’t touch them. Didn’t do anything that would cause them to fall out like pulling or tugging or anything. And thankfully it is the back so I can covered up what did come out. I drive all the way from baytown to go to salon meyerland. I love this salon and will always return. But I won’t be returning to the stylist in question (keke) she was friendly and nice. But passion twist or not something she should advertise that she does. I gave the 3 stars because I love the salon and this was my first bad experience there. Keep up the good work.Edit. What I don’t like is that y’all are trying to blame it on my. When that is not the issue. If the braids was slipping where the rubber band is at the end. Then yea. But it’s not. It’s slipping from the beginning of the section. I do not like that y’all are trying to say it’s the hair I purchased. Lol. It’s not. I’m not a difficult person. Hell doing a review is new to me. But that is not the reason they are slipping. As I’m also going and feeling each twist. It’s slipping from the root! The root! The rubber bands haven’t came off or anything. I made an appointment for my hair to be done nicely for my graduation last week, only for my hair to come out looking a mess and I was not satisfied paying that type of money to someone who didn’t even do a great job. This was definitely a rip off and I will never spend money here ever again. Arletha Penn will never do my hair ever again. I texted her about the situation, and she could obviously careless. Save y’all’s money and go elsewhere. My closure came out looking a hot mess and she even had loud music on, very unprofessional.

My beautician was Darnella of Da Image Addict and she was FANTASTIC!! She was very sweet and had an eye for detail. Her work space was clean, and she made me feel comfortable at all times! I just booked my next appointment!

This place is so cute and easy to navigate. The front desk receptionist that I always see ( an older black lady) is super sweet, helpful & polite. The bathroom is always clean, has a doorstop so you don’t have to open the door with your hand when you leave, just swing it open with your foot, I love that lol cleanliness is next to Godliness y’all. My stylist is Ashlei - the best. Always on time, cute suite, always clean and sanitized, great TV shows or music playing. She does the best silk presses and accommodates me when it’s rainy or poor weather outside which I really appreciate. My hair is so strong and healthy thanks to her. She isn’t rough which I appreciate more than anything - I’m tender head and natural lol so I wince at every tug usually & that doesn’t happen with her. I also really enjoy my time there because it’s very peaceful. Noise doesn’t seep in from other tenants, not a lot of people moving around in the halls, temperature is great, all in all a great experience. I’ve been too many other salons and chile, no.

I visited Salon Meyerland for the first time today, and my appointment was with Keturah Davis. It gives me great pleasure to say that Keturah is fabulous! I LOVE my hair. She washed my hair so good, I almost fell asleep in the bowl, and the cut and style she gave me is so pretty. Her prices are also very reasonable. My hair is long and thick, and when she told me how much I owed her, I was surprised. I would definitely recommend Keturah to any woman that is looking for a beautician. I had a an absolutely phenomenal experience at this salon. I moved to Houston in August and, since then, it was difficult to find a quality, professional stylist that I felt good about going to considering the pride I take in my hair as a Natural black woman. I looked at Google Reviews and was thoroughly impressed with all of the great ratings that people left and decided to give them a try.I really appreciate the salons highly professional website which I was not expecting. You can find a stylist that specialized in your particular type of hair, what service youre looking for, etc. and it gives you a very long list of licensed professionals to choose from. I chose Ms. Itzy who was new to the salon and she was incredibly personable, professional, on time, and the list of quality attributes goes on. The building itself is well-taken care of and always clean. Each stylist has her own small suite and you are her only customer, so you never have to worry about your stylist dividing her time between too many clients at once and neglecting you. I was the only client in Ms. Itzys suite and she gave me 100% of her attention, so there was no waiting and I was in and out as quick as you could imagine, which is important for me. Ive had hairdressers in the past who have left me under the dryer so they could manage two other clients, and Im really grateful for a situation like this where stylists are professional enough not to overbook.Speaking of Ms. Itzy herself, shes absolutely phenomenal. I recommend her to all of my friends who voice a need for a new stylist. Im a pretty tender-headed person, but my natural hair clumps and tangles easily which, more often than not, requires a bit of elbow grease. But, with Ms. Itzy, there was absolutely, positively no discomfort. From wash to the laying of my edges, she was incredibly gentle. Almost a month later I am still shocked at how gentle she was with me hair, even when detangling. In all my 23 years of life, I have NEVER had a stylist as gentle as she. She even made sure when putting in braids not to set them too tight because no one wants tension alopecia. I had a bad experience with a stylist in New Jersey not using heat protectant when she blow dried my hair, and Ms. Itzy assured me that she uses multiple types of heat protectant, and the brands she used were of the highest quality. The day after my appointment, I booked another appointment with Ms. Itzy for a few weeks later because I knew Id be back and I knew that Id found the absolute perfect stylist.Overall, I am beyond happy to have found this salon and, as long as I live in Houston, this is the only salon I will go to and the only salon I will recommend.

What a wonderful customer service experience. I called Toshia just to inquire on services that she provided (My mother was at her wits end with her hair and was ready for the big chop). Toshia took her time with me over the phone, explaining the different options that she offered. I asked her if there was any possibility to squeeze my mother in within the next few days…and she did just that.The day of the appointment my mother went into the salon very nervous and a bit uneasy. Toshia was very warm and welcoming, and most importantly took her time with my mom. She came out of your salon a completely different person  . Her cut is beautiful, it fits her face perfectly. She does a great job with cuts, color and styling. Its not always easy to find it all in one stylist. She is also very accommodating to my schedule which is another big plus. The venue is very well-maintained, and all of the stylist seem really professional. Great location off 610.

I recently had my hair colored by Candace Walls owner of Sovereign Styles Salon and the cleanliness was unmatched. She already was going above and beyond prior to the salon shut down due to Covid but since reopening Candace has definitely exceeded any recommended practice to ensure she and clients are safe while serviced. I would highly recommend Candace Walls and Salon Meyerland over and over again!

On my second visit (due to COVID), she informed me of a potential delay well ahead of time (to sanitize) and I was surprised to discover she would only be 4-5 minutes late. She takes the time to let you show and/or explain exactly what you want so she can deliver exactly that. She does not push her own agenda and offers sincere advice on what is best for your hair. This was the first time I had my hair done by a professional and I loved it. The overall experience of this establishment was great. Entering into the main entrance I felt the business was clean. I also didn’t encounter much people traffic within the business which is a must during these times. Masks are required to enter. My stylist (Candace) took every precaution to ensure sanitation and cleanliness was paramount.

Great experience, the salon is always clean. I feel safe coming in since Ms. Karen sanitizes every chair that you seat in. She wears her mask at all times, and always sanitize her hands. The building is very clean and tidy, including the rest rooms.

On several occasions I have visited Darnella at Salon Meyerland and every time services are exceptional. Darnella serves as my hairstylist as well as my wax specialist. Her skill set, professionalism and personality are all unparalleled. Her work space has always been clean, but since reopening (after the pandemic) she has implemented enhanced sanitation and safety procedures. Masks, sanitizers and other protective equipment is readily available. Overall, I can say that she continues to exceed the standard and I will be her client for years to come.

Candace walls is absolutely amazing! My hair is in the best hands. She’s is knowledgeable about her craft and is able to educate me on the product I should use to maintain my natural hair!!! From shortly and relaxed to mid back length and natural Candace is my go to. (Even capable to slide in a few protective styles from time to time)

Tiffany Flowers is the best hairdresser that I have ever had. She is like a family member because she genuinely cares about her clients. I have thick, coarse, BSL (thanks to Tiffany) hair and I always leave looking flawless with my twists or flat iron. She doesn’t double/triple book and is always punctual.

I’ve been coming to Nella at Salons of Meyerland (Suite 602) for a little over a year. The salon is always clean and there is plenty of parking. Since COVID, everyone is wearing masks and there are no extra people in the halls. Nella only allows one person in the suite, masks and gloves are worn, and she cleans after every appointment. Lastly but most importantly, Nella does an amazing job slaying my sewins, crochets, and silk presses. Prices are reasonable too.

This Stylist new my hair and she made me look beautiful

I took my daughter to get a full sew in with a lace front. When we left everything was fine, her hair was very pretty. Maybe a 2 or 3 days later, the lace front started showing in at the top of her head. Not sure why that happened but she wont be getting another lace front. Her stylist was Sierra who was very helpful, nice and knowledgeable.. My only complaint is the fact her lace front is exposed at the top of her head.

Ive been been going to Nella a couple of years now and have gotten silk presses, closures, extended ponytails and more. Nella makes sure my hair is not only healthy but has also gotten it to grow a tremendous amount without having to do the big chop. She is personable, friendly, professional and very knowledgeable with all different kinds of hair and textures. She also keeps her SUITE #602 very clean and sanitized. Ive gone to her since the COVID outbreak and she has kept all salon procedures to ensure your visit is not only safe but that you also leave with your hair slayed and looking fabulous! Briana Foster is my hair stylist and she has been the answer to my hair care needs. My daughter and I regularly get our hair done by Briana, and I cant say enough about how she takes care of your hair like no other stylist I have had. She listens to your hair concerns to help you better take care of your hair as well. She is patient, works diligently and takes your time into consideration. Briana can do it all, braids, sew-ins, cut, color and style, what more can I say, she is the bomb stylist!!

Candace is the best hair care specialist ever. She is professional and is an expert in hair care and styling. I am natural and I know I can get a twist out or a silkening and my wave pattern will be maintained. You will also get a little hair care education when you sit in her chair. I highly recommend Candace to all of my friends!

Tiffany Bevil is my stylist. She uses great products... love how they make my hair look and feel. My typical services include relaxers, protein treatments, etc. I also experienced some hair breakage which she is working to correct. Really great progress and fast. Also, flexible in working with your schedule.
