I called to get an appointment for a consultation to have my extensions maintenance on 8/28. I was excited to hear that Michelle could fit me in immediately for my consultation.While in the chair I informed Michelle this was my first set of extensions and this would also be my first time having them maintained. As some may know if you have extensions your real hair most likely is not as long as the extensions. Michelle toyed with my hair pulling on my actual hair and began laughing then asked why did you do this to your hair? Feeling very offended by someone who is supposed to be a professional I held back the tears that I could feel start to blur my vision and I informed her I have cancer very snarky. Michelle replied that she didnt know and that clients cut their hair. Not even an apology. However the damage was done. I knew right then I would not allow her to work on my hair. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this salon due to the lack of professionalism I received.----- since it appears my reply was not posted I want to share it ------Not once did I act or say the world owes me for my necessities.Laughing at someones hair and asking them why they did something to their hair is very rude no matter what the situation. If I had cut my hair myself thats not for a stylist to laugh and comment on. Most people with extensions have their natural hair shorter than the length of the extensions. Since you have cameras with audio listen to Michelle laugh and comment on my hair. VERY RUDE! Yes I got snarky I admitted that in my post, I dont deny that. Im also not going to apologize for it. If I recall I didnt say much else to Michelle after her comment. Why would I want to be friendly with someone who just laughed at me an nearly had me in tears.My hair has grown out yes thankfully I told Michelle it had been 7 weeks since I had the extensions installed.Best to you, I stand by my review even more so now after your comment of act like the world owes me FYI I dont go around telling people I have cancer so I feel that I have been violated.PLEASE DO NOT FEEL THE NEED TO REPLY---- The owner Michelle was kind enough to reply to the message I sent to her. Tried to make an appointment online and online service did not work. Called 4 times to make an appointment and when I finally got through the staff were so unprofessional. I saw them on Groupon but cancelled my order.

Loved the place. My sister-in-law and I came in without appointment at 3:15pm, very close to closing turns out, 4pm. Michelle, the owner, was very nice and told us she will take us. We both had complicated haircuts, and even though she had an event to go to, and everyone left, she stayed with us until almost 6pm. She is funny and honest, both qualities I love. I visit this establishment for the masseuse that has a spot there. His name is Cal Johnson and he is amazing! He provides a relaxing environment and tailors his massage to the client. His prices are more than reasonable and he tries very hard to accommodate a request for a session.

Please don’t let this people touch your hair, they don’t know what they’re doing, that self called stylist doesn’t know what she’s doing, she’s rude and she kept criticizing me the whole time, I have to wear my hair in a bun the whole time until it grows back, she did a horrible haircut and I told her million times I wanted honey highlights and they’re red and uneven please don’t trust this people

I have been coming here for years to see Michelle. She is always friendly and accommodating to my requests. Whether it is a haircut, simple color, dramatic color, highlights, or balayage, you name it and Michelle will see it to 100% perfect execution. Her versatile skills and contagious joy is what has brought me back time after time.I also love that even if Im only there to see Michelle, her team of stylists treats me with kindness and welcomes me each time. Having a great rapport with your hairstylist is extremely important and I am grateful to have such an experienced hairstylist to trust with my constant changing looks.

This is about the most fraudulent hair salon I have ever in countered in my life. First and foremost, dont ever pay for services in advance because they have these deals for special but you have to pay for them in advance like grupon and other in-salon specials. Dont ever do that! I had about $120 dollars that I gave them to add to my account then Michelle says oh you only have $10 in your account. I have receipts and my appointments of how much I spend on each session and of how much I had in my account. And I told her I had money in my account from left over. She says no. If your gonna be a little thief about it, you lost my business for good. I use to give them more than 20% in tip money. Depending on how well they do. Furthermore, I go get a facial and she says its gonna be $100 dollars when the special is $55 and its all over the place in advertising and online. So fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you, fool me three times or more thats taking advantage of an elderly. You think because I am of older age I dont notice my account. I repeat do not go with this thief to get Anything done. She takes advantage of people there. Whats worse a physical abuser or someone that steals from the elderly? Ill let you decide that. And they are dirty too. They dont even wipe down the chairs after each use and their cleaning/beauty supplies.

Wow! What an awesome experience! Ive been all around Houston and surrounding area and this by far exceeds all others! Rosie was fantastic, so insightful, timely, she worked with my crazy schedule, she cut and highlighted my hair EXACTLY the way I wanted it, was fast, and even went and bought me amazing coffee after I was so exhausted I nodded off in the chair 😂 I mean who does that?? I will definitely become a loyal client, cant recommend Rosie enough.

Truly the best massage i have ever had. Cal was very professional, thorough, and incorporated hot stones and hot towels in my massage. He will have me comparing all my future massages to his skills, however i plan to be a regular. All staff were very pleasant. Highly recommend.

Very friendly staff, excellent services - especially when it came to the facial. The woman who did my facial took the time to really assess my skin and suggested what could make the most improvement, and it really did seem to make a difference. The only downside was they were just a little bit pushy in trying to get me to sign up for a package of facials for 6 months. Overall, though, a great experience and nice people - I would use them again!

I booked a European facial, and I didnt receive that. Just a little scrub and creams. When I ask about the extractions, the girl tells me that they are $ 50 extra. The European facial as explained on the website includes deep cleaning and extractions. Very dissatisfied with the service! I do not return to this place!

Purchased a bundled facial and massage groupon, they did not schedule my facial. The massage was mediocre. Cal does not play music, and does not know what he is doing. He CLAIMS many years experience but it is evident he does not care for his practice. Your relaxation is not his concern. On the paperwork it asks if you want a breast massage... that should have been my first warning to run. The actual massage was just him tugging and pulling at my legs and arms.. no actual massaging of any kind.

I went to get a massage and facial. Cal took care of me he is very polite explains to you everything he will be working on and has the best pressure points. He did awesome!!! Would go back!

Ive been coming here for years. Michelle the owner has a lot of energy and you can tell they have a great time together with great chemistry. If you want to have a great experience next time you get your hair cut I recommend it.

She works her magic on my dark spots from sun damage to dark circles on my eyes.After that, she had suggested for my hair color correction. She is Board Certified Colorist guys. Worst experience ive ever had . Went for a certain hair style and began to shave the back of my head , I had to get up before she shaved me completly bald . I left really angry and she kept calling and calling trying to charge me 45 dollars for ruining my hair. When I answered the phone I explained to her again why I had left and she began to laugh at me and kept asking me to pay her. Have never had anyone treat me so rude . I dont recomend anyone go there.

Went there for keratin, Rosa or Rosy done my hair, spent almost 200, when I washed my hair after the 3 days if the product on my hair, the results were very poor, not what I expected had to do flat iron or blow dry to straighten the hair again also the back of my head scalp itching often and flaky since the keratin been applied.

They have great customer service. If you have anything to celebrate such as mothers day, be sure to give them a call. They give great deals!

Horrible experience. Stylist was Rosie. Went in and asked for an ombre and came out with almost my entire head bleach blonde and my roots dark brown. They charged me full price. I called the manager the next day and she said for me to come back in and she would have Rosie tone it down. Went back the next day..only to be charged another over $50 to tone it down. Still looked horrible. You could tell when i walked out it was bad, but nobody wanted to say anything. Ended up having to go to Sallys to get something to cover it because I couldnt work in my professional environment. My hair is still recovering from the damage done and the color is SO bad..I am hoping it will grow out fast.

I tried scheduling appointment on Thursday before New Years...the lady over the phone practically said that they rather not see people with GROUPON...thy rather make the moneys and see regular customers...Finally scheduled appointment for today and I sit on the chair and Im ready to show her the style. Before anything she pulled and saw my hair she said oh yeah and its gonna be $15 additional charge because of your hair length. Wow additional to the $30 GROUPON I have to pay $15 and tip...for a hair cut because its passing shoulder!!! Tried but will not be back... I will never go to this place again. I had long hair. I showed lady a picture of layer cut and asked to make same cut and I also asked the lady to keep the length same as in the picture (my hair is longer than that in picture). But she totally messed it up and made my hair too short almost till the shoulder. The hair cut she did does not match with a layer cut. It looks like a straight cut. I told her this does not match with what i asked for and she tried to convince me saying straighten your hair. Even if I straightened it didnt look the same. And if you go with a GROUPON coupon they will just redeem it and later they would tell your hair is too long and we will charge you extra even though the GROUPON doesnt show any additional charge for hair length over the shoulders. They told go and talk to GROUPON we are not responsible. For GROUPON customers they will give a bad service. Such a bad experience. They made my hair too short and whenever I look at my hair, I feel bad for choosing this place. Not everyone are professional hairstylists at this place. Just waste of time and money and i came out with a very bad hair cut... I dont know why are they promoting themselves in GROUPON if they arent giving a good service. I felt customer satisfaction is not important to them.

I bought my facial with a Groupon, but at no time during my facial did I feel like I was getting a Groupon facial. I have felt at other places that I am not given the best treatment because I purchased a deal through Groupon. Everyone was so nice and they have great prices. I was even given samples of some of the products used. It was wonderful and I will be back!!!

I loved going to Up Close Beauty Max but my last visits have not been a good experience. I dont like the way they have 2 or 3 people doing different things to my hair. I asked for highlight strips and got an allover frost highlight they had to fix their error. My daughter also colored her hair from blond highlights to brown on a different day and her hair came out green. Michelles way of fixing it was cutting off a large amount of green hair. In Michelles way of apologizing she gave my daughter a free hair repair cream, gesture was nice yet taky because the bottle given to my daughter had been used. Sadly, we will never go to Up Close Beauty Max I referred 5 people to this place and I hope they dont experience the same unprofessionalism that my daughter and I received.

I made an appointment for last Saturday, July 2nd. I called before I bought a Groupon to make sure it was ok. She said sure. Awesome. Then, they called me a day before to tell me that they were short staffed that day. Ok, I rescheduled for today, Wed., at 5:30pm. I asked if it was ok if I arrived a few minutes late because I had to leave early from work and I worked far. She said no problem. Great. So, I rush over there, get there at 5:45 on the dot. I work off 290! I asked there when I arrived if it was ok. She said yes. I change into the gown to get color and haircut. She asks me to wait. I wait. Then another lady, assume manager, asks me if I have been helped. I tell her they asked me to wait. Then she says it is too late for color and that I have to reschedule because they close at 7pm. Really? I thought I had found a place that I would like. I mean, I know I arrived late, but I asked if it was ok. I was even told to change. This is disappointing to say the least. People have busy schedules. Dont try to schedule people in just to make a buck if you wont be able to make it. This was my first time here and now I dont want to go back...

I had the BEST experience here. I purchased a Groupon because I dont usually spend a lot on my hair. I never die or highlight my hair. So I bought a Groupon for a cut and highlight. Not knowing much, I went in and the place was very clean with a spunky flavor. I was seen immediately as I had an appointment. I forgot my stylists name but she was very cool. She explained that my Groupon was for only one color highlight and that normally they use 2 colors. She didnt push the sale on me, just informed me how it normally works. I took her suggestion and she made the experience very easy, making sure she showed me several samples of blends and asking me what kind of look I wanted, what kind of statement i wanted to make. and the end result was AMAZING!!! I got compliments from EVERYONE even guys!I had never colored my hair before and I was SOOO happy with the result. This place was great!
