I have been a Paloma Heights customer for years. Yesterday I went in for a manicure and the manicurist had to redo my nails multiple times and then did not offer a hot towel or hand massage which is a standard part of the service. This redo took double the time of a normal manicure and caused me to be late to a subsequent engagement. I expressed my displeasure with my experience at the front desk and was told I would get 10% off. 10%?! And a chance to come in the next day for a redo. I explained that my schedule for the next several weeks would not allow me to return and that I would prefer not to pay for the service given the multiple redo of my nails and the fact that when I left they were still not normal Paloma quality nails. They made me pay and I have yet to receive a call from the owner/manager, which I feel would be the most appropriate given I am a long time customer. Unless they make this right, I will never be back.Update: 2 weeks later and NO call from the manager/owner to apologize. I have spent thousands at Paloma over the years and will officially be taking my business elsewhere (and spreading the word that the service is sub par at best).

Horrible experience ITS NOT A VIP CLUB THEIR STAFF WILL TREAT YOU LIKE YOU ARE NOT WORTHY beware they do not have friendly staff and are not dog friendly and will take your money. I worked for a spa I am aware of policy for dog owners to show proof of support animal certification which I spent 45 mins of my appointment time unable to find due to the my email not working . It would be one thing IF Trinity the girl at the front desk was nice about it however she was adding that “I hand it over so let’s see it” in regards to my animal support card as if I was lying . Further more they charged me the FULL $115 service when I did show up and got NO SERVICE . I called both heights and river oaks locations to speak to a manager and left a message and the girl at the front desk assured me someone would get back with me to see if they would partially charge me , to which no manager ever contacted me . Only three years in business I understand the need to please your customers they simply do NOT CARE .

I LOVE Paloma Nails and tell all my friends about it! Its the only place Ill go for my mani/pedi when I decide its time for one! The Heights location is amazing and they have the most welcoming and friendly team members. Esther, is particular is so kind, patient, and tender-hearted. My mom, sister, and I love having our girl dates there knowing we will walk out with more than just pretty nails, but also have a great conversations with the nail techs! Thank you for making my mom feel like a princess every time we go, Esther!

One of my favorite nail salons in Houston. Alicia is my go-to but everyone is great. Maryam, the owner is often around and is very approachable and involved in her clients experiences. My mom and I got mani/pedis here for my wedding. It was a splurge for sure, but they did a great job at making it feel like a top notch experience. The techs had more attention to detail than I had experienced before and the simple nail art I chose was very well executed. For my wedding, the price was worth it.

I have contacted this location several times in regards to being wrongfully charged and have not been contacted. I was told that I would be contacted by management and no one has reached out or even responded to my email. I wanted to let them resolve it but at this point I have to dispute the charge with the bank. Paloma is not customer centric and because of this, they will struggle to create long term clients.

The salon has a nice relaxing atmosphere and very clean. I walked in on eastern Sunday afternoon and the owner Maryam greeted me with a smile and was able to accommodate me without previous appointment and even offered me a glass of white wine. The staff (Viane) was very nice, polite and detailed oriented. It got the shellac mani and I was very pleased with the results.

Paloma always provides exceptional service. I always get a manicure and pedicure but this time I added a facial and...WOW. Mia did an amazing job. She made me feel so relaxed and worked on addressing my skin issues. I especially loved the products she used because they did not irritate my skin like other products usually do at other places. I would highly recommend Mia for your next facial. She literally turned a my crumby mood around and provided great customer service.

Had it not been for the exceptional esthetician, Carrie, and nail specialist, Theresa, I would give this establishment a one star rating. It is the most uncomfortable mani/pedi arrangement I’ve ever experienced. Try to get comfortable. Forget it. The facial room is ridiculously small. Front desk reception is cold as ice. The lavatory is amazingly large and could have shared some space with the skin care area. I’ll be back because of the service providers but owners need to do some serious revisions on layout and customer comfort.

Parking is a major pain in this area. The store front is sorta difficult to find as well. I also had to wait for for appointment once I got there. I wasn’t in a rush, so it was no problem. However, the staff is great and very friendly. They did a quality job and my shellac polish stayed put for 11 days. This isn’t as common as you’d think. At other salons, my nails usually chip by day 4-5.

Thank you so much for such a lovely environment and friendly people.

I love this place! To say its my favorite nail salon Ive ever been to is an understatement. The attention to detail that the nail techs have surpasses my own perfectionist, Type A inclinations by far. And this seems to be a consistent theme with all of the techs Ive had between both Houston locations. Not to mention, everyone is SO friendly! In addition to the awesome staff, the minimalist decor is stunningly comfortable. The second you walk in your offered a beverage and, probably my favorite part, is that youre not smacked in the face with the smell of acetone and typical nail polish smells. Everything they use is non-toxic and my nails have never looked better. Cant wait for their third location to open downtown!

Paloma used to be one of my favorite nail salons but I don’t think I’ll ever be going back again. The prices are way too high for the “ok” service you get. Almost $40 for a shellac removal, no color, and bad cuticle removal, not thanks! There is not a service I get that I don’t leave with cuts in my cuticles (I’ve tried with 3 different ladies). They desperately need more experience or they need to be more careful when removing cuticles!!!!!!! Not trying to get an infection here.

I absolutely adore this place! I thought it couldn’t get better than the original Post Oak location, but then Heights Mercantile went and added facials...AMAZING. Best facial I’ve ever had in my life! The esthetician was very knowledgeable and informative about products that would work best for me but wasn’t pushy at all about purchasing. I had an appointment for this salon and 2 minutes before my appointment, when I was literally at the parking lot, they called me and said that one of their staff members had to leave early and they can only get me in in 20 min. I said ok because I needed to get my gel cleaned out. I arrived 20 min later and after 15 min they still were not able to start my service. I left because it looked like I was going to waste more time in this place waiting to get my nails done. They just made me waste an hour of my day. I will never recommend and come to this place again.

I am sick to my stomach writing this review but it has to be done. People need to know about this business’ childish behaviour and lack of professionalism. I am a single parent with several health problems and since my son was born (he’s now 20 months) I had not been able to go get a mani/pedi. Besides not being able to afford it, I was also waiting to find a non-toxic salon that would suit the natural lifestyle I am trying to achieve. I was SO excited to come across Paloma as it is the only nail salon of its type in Houston. I booked my first appointment for May 23rd, my 30th birthday (which I was so excited for even though I normally don’t celebrate birthdays). Everything went fine aside from being nicked during the manicure. When it was time to pay I asked to use the card they had on file but it didn’t go through because I forgot I needed to transfer cash. I transferred the cash and told the receptionist to try again. The money was taken out on my end but was not showing up on theirs so they still needed payment. I didn’t have any more money for them to attempt payment again so my friend used her card for me and I would pay her back later. We left. Shortly after, I booked an appointment on their online portal for a shellac manicure for the coming Tuesday at their Post Oak location partly because I just wanted to try a different location and partly because I changed my mind the day of and wanted shellac instead of The Pronto but the manicurist did not have time to fit it into the schedule. Ten minutes later I received an email saying that my appointment was cancelled so I called immediately to see what was going on. The girl that picked up the phone put me on hold to find out and when she came back I was SHOCKED to hear what she had to say. She said that I am no longer allowed back for services at any explanation. Completely befuddled, I asked why and she said “I have no further information”. I told her that I wanted to know what I had done and she said she would pass along my request for someone to call me back. I asked to speak to a manager and she said there was not one available. Another 10 minutes later, whoever runs their social media reposted my story of me getting my pedicure. I replied, “I was just banned from receiving services for God knows what and you still repost my story? I’m so confused.” A few minutes later they deleted their repost and blocked me! I have never come across a more childish, unprofessional business in my life. For “a businesswoman who believes in leading by example”, Maryam Naderi, I don’t think this is a very good one. I am heartbroken that a beauty service really did bring harm to my health and wellness. Maybe not in a physical way with toxic chemicals but definitely in a mental way...

Beautiful place and doesnt have the harsh chemical smell of most nail salons. Massages during mani/Pedi services are sometimes short and very soft. I previously rated Paloma Nails in the Heights much higher after my first experience, but Im done trying to get my nails done here. I still think Mia who does skin care is the greatest and will hopefully continue getting facials and skin care from her! I also still think the actual nail service is great, but the booking appointments, hidden fees, and customer service is not worth it.I went here the day before my wedding with three other ladies and after we were all done they informed us that there was a $5 PER HAND AND PER FOOT fee on top of the regular charges because we booked as a group. There were only four of us, absolutely nothing above the norm about the services, and when I told them that no one told me about the fee despite booking the group appointment in person, they refused to take the charges off.Fast forward a few months, I had continued to go here for nail services occasionally and made an appointment weeks in advance for a mani and pedi before we left for our honeymoon. They called me the week of and told me they made an error in booking and I would only be able to get one or the other done at that time. I asked to speak to a manager and was told someone would contact me, no one ever did. I ended up cancelling my appointment because there are a million other places to go and they made no apology. Sad because their services are great.

I really did not have a good experience with Paloma. I had high hopes since it is in my neighborhood. The first issue I had was that my manicure just wasn’t done right, the lady didn’t even put on a base coat. Secondly, the chairs weren’t terribly uncomfortable! Spend some money and get amazing chairs!!!Lastly, I was shocked at the cost, $85 for a regular mani/pedi with a15% tip?!? Do you think this is Beverly Hills?!?Needless to say I won’t be back.

It was ok and I like that it didn’t have that nail salon smell, not sure it was worth about $100 for a mani/pedi standard w tip. No touch ups when she finished the mani, and it was a bit streaky on application. Honestly the pedi lady was great (Theresa I think)! But the younger lady who did my fingernails seemed rushed. All to say - I’ve gotten a better manicure for $20. Not sure the better smell is worth the cost.

Im so happy to have Paloma in the Heights! Their space is clean, bright, and delightful. Their staff is incredibly attentive and kind. I took my daughter with me the other day, and she got a mani/pedi (or The Petite if youre savvy!) while I got a shellac mani. We were in and out within an hour, and it was a delightful treat for both of us. Plus, I think my daughter was super impressed to get a chilled apple juice. With this safer alternative so close to home, we will definitely be back.Insiders tip: If you like it warmer, schedule your appointment later in the day. Their gorgeous windows let in a lot of sunlight, and it can feel a little toasty over there.

11/10 the best experience I have ever had at a nail salon. The prices are slightly higher than average but I think it is totally justified. Just based on the atmosphere, location, and decor alone I understand why the price tags is slightly higher. However, I think all of these factors considering the services are extremely well priced. The price tag reflect the level of service! The whole place is very cute and trendy. It was a super calming and relaxing space to be in. Even the music play list was awesome! I felt no need to be on my phone or distract myself because i felt like I was at a spa. All of the staff were extremely friendly, smiley, and helpful. The nail techs were very knowledgeable, and very gentle! The icing on top of the cake? They are not only non toxic so the place smelled much more pleasant than most, but also, they carry a line of vegan nail polishes which I was very excited to see! I will definitely be coming back and recommending all of my friends to their heights location. Thank you for a great first experience. ❤️
