Friendly staff. They took the time to explain & answer any questions without feeling rushed. They take really good care of your pets. I know my cardie girl loves them all (she got to sit behind the desk with the nurses after her exam & feed her cookies/treats) 😆💜🥰👍

This vet was absolutely amazing. My dog was sick and they immediately fit my dog in their schedule even though they were booked for the day. My dog had to be put to sleep and this Vet knew what was best for my dog. The doctor and the other staff was completely understanding and caring. They really looked out for my family at this difficult time. I truly want to say thank you guys. This is the best vet to go to. RIP Frisky !!!!

I had a tremendous experience at this hospital. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and efficient. The Doc had a great bedside manner with my two cats. The hospital was clean and kept very well. And last but not least, the services rendered were affordable. I’m glad to have my cats care established here. My cats and my family recommend this establishment.

I had my 10 year German Shepherd bathed, groomed and cut here on June 21st 2019. This was the absolute BEST spa day for him. He looked and smelt so good for days!! My dog is an outside dog so detail has not always been important for some groomers with him. THIS LADY WAS FANTASTIC- I hope I can find her?!???!!

The staff was very nice and helpful. Dr. Whiting is great! The prices are reasonable and all questions were answered. We did not have a long wait which was really nice. Glad I was referred to them from another happy pet owner.

I wish I could leave no stars... My Pitt bull was vomiting blood and a bloody stool. I was told it could be one of three possible things. I agreed to test for heart-worms, which the tests came back negative. The doctor then recommended X-rays to look for potential items that could be trapped in the stomach. Again, I agreed to pay for the X-rays. About 20 minutes later, I was asked to take a look at the X-rays. I was shown an object that resembled a bone or object. I was given a few choices. Of course, I went with the recommended choice of surgery being that the school trained doctor recommended and said something was inside the stomach. I applaud her effort in diagnosing the potential issues. However, I would recommend getting a second opinion from other doctors before picking up another scalpel. About $1,400.00 & four hours later... The doctor called and said they didnt find anything. No apologies or nothing, “we didn’t find anything.”So, the next day the dog is ready for discharge. The Doctor that performed the surgery wasnt there. I was briefed by another doctor (the owner) who did not give eye contact the entire time (nothing strange here at all).Now, he has a foot inch incision, and the same symptoms as before, and now I’m - $1,400 from my bank account and no exact answer of what’s wrong with my dog.Even though the staff is always amicable and courteous; I will never step foot inside this animal care veterinary hospital again. If you are reading this and thinking about taking your dog here. If it is for boarding, then you might be good. However, if you are thinking about anything health-related to your beloved pet. I would not look here.

The best veterinarian facility! We take our dogs once a month for baths and the staff is so friendly and welcoming! They entertain our kids while we get all the dogs in and are always interested in how our lives are! Very knowledgeable about medicines and animal care, and always try to find deals or the lowest prices for something. Were not going anywhere else!

I had to bring my sweet Pit in. During this COVID they are very organized and make bringing ur pet in as smooth as possible. They fit me in as well as kept me very informed on what the doctor saw and plan for treatment and payment since they have to have curb side drop off. I definitely recommend this vet i have always liked this place but I even more recommend and commend their work thru this time.

I have been going to Dr. McMillan for over 10 years. My experience with their 14th St. location has been nothing but outstanding. From the front desk to the back everyone was kind and informative. The clinic was clean, all the employees went out of their way to help me in any way possible, and Dr. Olson has a great bedside manner. My only problem is i cant give More Stars!!!! Ive just relocated to the Greenville area and was referred to this practice and so I called to get pricing for a treatment for a rescue dog I am considering adopting and the person who I spoke with refused to give me any estimate and kept telling me I need a appointment. I have several pets already and I take their health care very seriously and have spent thousands for their care including having one of my dogs flown out of state for emergency life-saving surgery for kidney stones after one vet ruptured his bladder during their attempt to remove them. So now this veterinary hospital group has lost a extremely good potential client due to rude desk employees.

We have four fur babies that are fairly new to Animal Care, but we are so pleased with the service we receive when we visit. Dr Janczak is so kind and compassionate, and we know that our animals are in safe hands. All the staff are so nice too, and treat us like royalty when we are there. Many thanks for the fantastic service always!

I love my Vet! I have been taking my pets to them for almost 20 years now, and have never been disappointed. They provide excellent care and treatment for my 4 legged family members, and the front staff have always been so nice and helpful. Whether it was answering my questions on how to make my new pup more people friendly, working with us on providing the necessary emergency surgical services we needed, or mourning with us over the loss of a long loved pup, they have always gone the extra mile and I know that they care about my animals. I would and have recommended them to anyone who is looking for a Vet. They are the best in my book!

Love Animal Care East in Winterville. My cat Chloe is not a kennel friendly animal and they are excellent with her. They allow me to wait in my car for a room and then they are excellent at caring for her and always have her best interests at heart. Highly recommend.

I have to say I have had a bad experience with this clinic and its always a pain to even get a vet to call back.I have had my dog there 3 different times for the same problem with bleeding boils. The last time it was the worse . I went in last saturday for a shot that was supposed to help. The tech comes out and says she is all good and shot will help with her scratching. I told her she doesnt scratch they they are wounds that fill with blood and pop. I was told I would be called back. I waited all week and my dog is 3 times worse now then before and still no call back.So today I callled and asked for all her records so I can go somewhere else and get it taken care of. I said I understood that things might be crazy but doesnt take a week for vet to call back to figure it out . I wS told that They would have my files together and I would get a call from manager which never happen no surprise. Very poor communication .

I had to say good-bye to my 12 year old shih tzu mix and Im glad I had Animal Care East with me to help me and him. They took wonderful care of my boy as we tried to figure out what had happened to him at another boarding facility and then were kind and compassionate as I made the hardest decision to say goodbye. Im thankful for Dr. Larson, Dr. Shane, Brittany, Amanda and Tina for making the last 24 hours as easy as they could. They always took wonderful care of my Roman when he was with them and I cant say enough good things about the care and compassion we received any time we were there. Someday when Im ready, Ill bring a new fur baby to them to watch over. Thank you for everything.

Staff and doctors were super sweet and caring of our problems and our puppy and listened to every concern we had and addressed it. Reasonable prices, not really any wait at all and very caring about us. Highly recommended

I’m new to the Greenville area and I had to leave my dog for boarding over the Christmas holiday. This was my first time going there. When I arrived the reception was talking with a lady who was leaving and asking the lady about her hair and just random things the whole time ignoring me and I was the only customer waiting. So I had to ask if my dog could be checked in. She looked at me and continue talking with the lady who was trying to leave. When I picked my dog up 8 days later the receptionist (a different women then the first time) was very rube and not communicating with me about my dog. She just gave me the bill and they brought my dog out without saying how his stay went. I was never greeted on either time I came there nor did anyone say buy or have a nice day. Especially when I was the only customer there both times. Never going back to them

I am being generous with this rating because the front office staff have always been lovely. But the doctors....we have gone here a few times because of proximity in emergency situations. However, after our most recent incident I feel Dr. Shaffer should consider a career in research or something where poor bedside manner are not an issue. When a client comes in with a bleeding animal that is NOT the time for a If you had... lecture. No one is paying for that.We came in needing help with a situation in the present, so he made things worse with his unprofessional condescending mannerand complete lack of compassion.Because as client/customers we have a choice we left and did not have our dog treated by him. Instead we went to Riverbank Animal Hospital in Kinston,NC. There we got the best service and rates since we moved to NC.Not only would we never go back to Animal Care Vets, I would never recommend them for anything requiring a compassionate or caring doctor.

Dr.Whiting is amazing. The care and compassion she has for the animals is top notch. We moved here from out of state and had a problem with my older dog. She explained what was going on. After 7 days she called to check on my dog. This is an amazing animal care facility.

I cannot say it enough how much I love this vet. Staff is always so friendly and I never feel rushed. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my cats. They take the time to properly inform you of everything and have no problems answering questions after you leave.

Ive been coming here for years for my gotti and sky. The service is spectacular they truly care about the animals and love their job. The head receptionist Samantha is the sweetest. She loves her job and she makes sure I am taken care of every time. Would definitely refer everyone here !

I have been here several times now and am very pleased with the service. After being with another vet for over 15 years, think I have found a new permanent home for my fur babies. Did not have to wait in a crowded waiting room or feel pressured into expensive tests and treatment plans but care for my cat was still most important. Plus the extended office hours are more flexible.

Love them! Always great and helpful! They always talk about how sweet my dog is when we board him which is amazing cause my dog is mean! Lol we also left his monkey one time after boarding him the first time, every time we’ve been back since they make sure that he has his monkey! You can tell they really care about the animals!

Max hasnt been feeling well for a while now. I finally took him in to be seen this morning. They didt judge me for not bringing him in right away. Dr. P and the whole staff were friendly and caring. Easy to get an appointment. Very affordable. Have taken my animals to this clinic for years. Clinic was clean and welcoming. The staff was excellent. Will bring Max back again for a check up. Max liked the staff.

Dr. McMillan is great at what he does. All 3 of my dogs receive care by him! He will work with you in all situations. Highly recommend.

I hate to write a negative review for a company I typically respect, but I cannot ignore what I witnessed today. I normally frequent the 14th street office and have had amazing experiences. The front desk staff always makes me feel welcome and the doctors are amazing. I am an aquaintance of Art McMillan and have actually complimented him on this clinic specifically. I’m not sure why, but it seems like there is a different staff there on Wednesdays which has been a lot less friendly and more indifferent- sometimes even rude. I ignored it thinking it just happened to be a bad moment, but today I was in an exam room and could hear a staff member being very disrespectful to another person in the back. I’m not sure who she was speaking to, but a woman with orange glass frames was cussing at someone else. I’m not sure how that person stayed professional because I was fuming. I even contacted my wife to tell her if it continues I am going to step in and tell them how one person is making me never want to step into this office again. I have never seen her before and I hope I never have the misfortune to see her again. If the company knows what is best they will fire her to make sure no one thinks that’s an appropriate way to behave.

I had to put my dog down... Im still heartbroken about it. Ive had her since I was 17, that was over 11 years ago, and shes been with me through more than one major life transition. Im sure that the staff at Animal Care are unaware of the history Ive had with my dog; however, they still showed an exceptional level of professional sympathy for my family and I. It seemed as though they were even willing to let me walk out without paying for the catheter that was used for the injection (I walked back in to pay for it). And they seemed to be willing to do so because they were sensitive towards the situation that we were dealing with. But, before I put my dog down, she was sick for quite a while, Dr. Whiting kept in touch with my wife and I to learn about Roris condition and aid us on our next steps. I suspect that recommending euthanasia is probably the hardest part of a vets job, but Dr. Whiting showed a concern that helped to put my wife and I at ease over the situation. I figured the least I could do is give Animal Care a positive review, so here it is...Thank youPS. They also sent us a card to express their condolences.

This is the best place in Greenville NC! They take excellent (heartfelt & professional) care of CousCous (our dog)! Through regular visits, surgery, etc-they always have her best interests in mind & give us great advice for her, even when it means they won’t gain monetarily. I appreciate them so much!! By the way, let your dog try their Chicken-flavored Toothpaste (doggy YUM!)

I cannot say enough great things about Animal Care East in Winterville. All of the staff are amazing and treat my baby like their own. They always get him in to be seen no matter what the issue maybe and will listen to my fears and problems. Brady gets groomed there as well and always looks great. The prices are unbeatable and the hours help with the working moms schedule. I highly recommend taking your furbabies to them for excellent care.

Dr. Olson and the entire staff have been incredible to my fur babies! Max is our rescue baby and has anxiety issues, but not with Animal Care Staff. My little Scrappy Doo is being treated with such respect and humor...which is great because he is Wide Open!!! :)I highly recommend their care for your furbabies and other pets!

This was our first visit with our two puppies. I was so amazed and impressed with Dr. Shane Poriettos patience as he provided quality care to our new puppies, as well as, allowed my 5 year old son to participate and feel like a valued member of the team giving him valuable education throughout the physical exam. We will definitely be making Animal Care East in Winterville our primary care team for our new puppies!

My first time using a kennel to board my dog Todo for 4 days was not good. Todo got kennel cough I took him back the next day and Dr. White gave him a free examination and some pills which made the cough better but after a week did not go away completely. I was charge just $18.00 for the follow up visit and it was determine that he had a collapsed trachea that was irritated so Dr. White prescribed some more pills that cleared up the coughing in 3 days! The staff was wonderful the facility was clean and the price was affordable.

The doctor and front office staff were professional and courteous however one particular vet tech could use better bedside manners. I took my daughter’s cat in for a high fever not too long ago which occurred within days of him being neutered at one of their other locations. I am tremendously thankful they were able to see him on such an urgent basis but I did not bring him in for a lecture. The vet tech had 2 other people with her (trainees I assume) and made the rude comment “He’s 7 years old and you just NOW got him neutered?” Please!! This is my adult daughter’s cat and I was doing the responsible thing by getting him neutered. I have worked in the healthcare industry for 22 years and would NEVER speak to a patient in a condescending manner. I will bring her cat back to this location only because the vet and front office were professional however if I experience the vet tech rudeness again, then I definitely won’t return.

I boarded my dog here for 9 days. When I picked him up, his bladder was about to burst. His fur looked as if it hadnt been touched the entire time he stayed with them. My dog food bag was wet like it had sat next it in the rain. They also did not return a bag of treats I left with them. Staff were nice enough although the pick up and drop off staff did not seem very friendly towards my pet. Overall, I am displeased and will NEVER be returning to this facility for anutjign else.

Dr. Proietto and the rest of the staff were so nice and helpful. My pit had to get a couple of tumors removed, warts and a cyst, and they answered every question I had and were super friendly to my 4-legged baby!

We have been going to Animal Care Veterinary Hospital since we moved to Greenville, N.C. and we have received only the best care for our animals at that facility. We had an older dog that needed end of life care and Dr. McAvoy did a wonderful job extending her life for a few final months untill she passed. We have two cats now in which one again needs some special care and Dr. McAvoy gave us a number of options to help her with her issues. Dr. McAvoy isnt the only skilled Vet there. We have two new dogs in our home and Dr. Whiting has been great with their care as well. Finally, we would be remiss if we didnt recommend the entire staff at the clinic. They are skilled and compassionate people who only want the best for your families animals. We highly recommend the clinic for anyone needing to bring their animal to a Veterinarian.

Very accommodating for boarding, even on short notice like spring break!!! We know when we leave our Yorkie for boarding that she is in excellent hands and will be taken care of!

This morning we had to take our recently adopted Chiweenie, Hodder, in for an emergency appointment as he became very ill yesterday. His symptoms suggested parvo which terrified me as I lost a newly adopted pup years ago to the same virus. She had contracted it at the Humane Society and began showing symptoms immediately following adoption despite having had her vaccines. Unfortunately, I only got 1 week with her despite hospitalization & treatment. Earlier this year, we lost 1 of our 3 adult Chiweenies when she contracted a gastrointestinal infection that our previous vet was unable to identify. She was hospitalized as well for several days as they tried to treat her all the while growing very attached to her amazing, happy and sweet demeanor but, unfortunately, we lost her as well.It was for this reason we decided to adopt Hodder (4 months). Ive only had him a very short time but he has won me over with his rambunctious, playful and happy self and so we are praying he pulls thru.They were able to see him 1st thing this morning even as a new patient. The staff was comforting, compassionate, very upfront and honest about what to expect and it was only after reading other comments and reviews throughout the night as I sat up with him that I decided to bring him here. We are praying for the best outcome

Highly disappointed. Will NEVER be taking another animal to this facility. Old man vet was VERY rude, my dog came in for stomach problems, and was not acting right. Dr told me he was fine, and my dog died two days later. I have been taking my animals to McMillan for years, the older vet you have is incredibly rude and definitely should not have taken up a profession as a veterinarian. BEYOND MAD AT THIS OFFICE!!!!

Animal Care of Greenville has attended my cat Bubi since he first joined me at my door. When he had a very bad infection, they brought him back to health at a reasonable price. Bubi has had a happy life since then (2 years and counting) and I use their services mostly for boarding. I feel staff does their job; I have not noticed anything bad or good which would stand out. Bubi does not like to go there ... but this may just be his cat thing ... ?

I highly recommend Animal care east . I have taken all my dogs there for the past several years , prior to that they went to the Belvoir office ( they were awesome too) . I love Dr . McMillian he has taken care of my animals since 1993. Dr. S . Proietta was so good when I had to put my senior girl to sleep. He was so good to her and to me also. They even sent me a sympathy card in the mail The office manager there is also very good . The whole staff there is very caring and kind. Dr. Christian Proietto is very kind as well and always gives me lots of information and teaching . Tina Mitchell is the best. She was able to groom my frightened little neglected terrier who had very little human contact before us. She must be a dog whisperer because Lexi loves her. I have nothing but great reviews for Animal Care and all the staff there.

Took my yorkie in for a trim. It took us a long time to get the dog looking like a yorkie. Thanks to groomer her hair is chop up and cut all over where she should not have been.cut. We asked for yorkie cut, not done.!

We have been going to their Winterville location for our dogs entire life (almost 7 years). Last year our dog tore his cruciate ligament and needed surgery, so we came to this location, and Dr. Shaffer performed the surgery. He did a great job, and Zander healed well, but I felt his pain wasnt initially managed well. I did call and get extra pain pills. Just today we picked Zander up from surgery on his other leg, which ended up with the same injury. (We were warned that if one leg goes, there is a chance of it happening to the other). This time Dr. McMillian performed the surgery, and Crystal went over everything with us when we picked Zander up. They were both wonderful. (Chris at the front desk is amazing too) The surgery went great, Crystal took her time explaining everything, and because I mentioned the pain he had last time, she made sure to give him additional meds. He is now home, and doing well. I feel like they really care about Zander, know what they are doing, and are there for us if we need anything. I highly recommend either location.

Took my 4 yr old pit/lab mix in for a knee surgery. Surgery and recovery went as planned. The surgery did not fix the problem only made it slightly better $1600 later. I was told he needs a 2nd surgery for something they couldve done during the 1st one. Im highly upset that that everything wasnt done on the 1st go round. The poor dog had 2 months of recovery in a cage at home not to mention they want me to cough up money for a 2nd operation.Justin Leggett

I will never board my dog with them again.She came home with multiple cuts and scratches all over her chest and stomach. They did not return half of her things (It is a possibility that she chewed them up and they threw them away) but if that was the case they did not inform me of this.Quite possible the most horrifying thing is the fact that she has a large amount of blood in her poop and I now might have a large vet bill to pay because of it.I advise to not board your pets here.
