Stephen is a great therapist that has a down to earth and empathetic approach for helping others navigate through the journey of their lives and their mental health. Keisha Yarborough has been a pleasure to work with.. she called me on the phone for our very first appointment because I forgot about it & she really didn’t have to do that. It was purely out of kindness and consideration and that demonstrates the kind of person she is to work with!

If you care about your mental health at all, DO NOT go through Thriveworks. My therapist was WONDERFUL! She helped me tremendously over the past few months. However, Thriveworks has the worst customer service Ive experienced. I have had billing issues since Ive started with them. They only want to communicate through email. They charge my card without my permission and refuse to call me when I request a phone call to get clarification on whats going on. I dont like when people mess with my money or my mental health and Thriveworks has done both. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My experience has been great other than I can not seem to get contacted back by their billing department. Not even the therapist is being contacted back. Having to pay out of pocket in full for each visit is not something I can afford. Looks like I will unfortunately have to go elsewhere in the future.

This place is corporate owned. Not for me. The first session you have to answer questions regarding your insurance, to me thats a tacky move. Im willing to answer the questions just not while Im paying for the time Im speaking to someone regarding my issues.

I gave one star because the counceler was nice but the benefits department is absolutely terrible they have no clue how to do their job. Denise H and Taylor West have no idea how to grasp the concept that if someone has met their deductible out-of-pocket max at 100% that you don’t pay a co-pay, apparently they’ve never heard of that, go figure. They kept asking if they were speaking to my mother I guess they didn’t expect a teenager to know what they were talking about! I even called my insurance company and merged in the insurance company on the same line that was telling them I had no copay and that I didn’t have to pay anything out-of-pocket because it was met and she still argued with them and told my insurance company I had to pay a copay... I think someone needs more training in that department ! Long story short I won’t be going back! A word of advice save your $99 enrollment fee and do not let them store your payment method!

I really connect with my therapist. She gets me, shes been there, done that, and she really helps me put things in a healthier perspective. I always thought I could make it on my own, but it is ok to ask for help and to find someone you dont know to talk to. I highly recommend this place. Never stop healing-its a constant, and never linear. O and they have tea up front!!

Rebecca has been beyond my expectations and made me feel like I could share what I need to and is building an outline for help. She is attentive, down to earth, and professional. My whole experience with this center has turned out to be a nightmare. Our counselor was friendly enough but really didnt do much in the way of guidance. They never entered my husbands insurance information correctly and billed us directly for each visit when it should have been covered 100%. After several attempts correcting it and sending them the EOB showing it was fully covered and paid for they still refuse to refund us. There is no actual billing person to talk to, they only communicate through email. Completely ridiculous and unprofessional. Dont waste your time there.

I had the pleasure of receiving counseling from LaKimberly Burch Dowdell. This amazing woman has been helping me get through life for years!!! She insightful, a great listener, thoughtful, gentle, and always provides me with solutions to get through whatever I am dealing with. Her communication is exceptional and very timely. Her availability is flexible so I’m always able to see her when needed. She will be my “person” for life!

I cant speak for the counselors but I can tell you the booking process is not good. Went online in the morning, set up a new telehealth appt for the next day at 930a which was great. Got a VM and email about 1p stating they needed more information which is completely understandable. Called back at 2p and got a VM message. Missed a call at 4p, called back at 450p, got a VM. Called at 830a, 9a, and 930a the next day and continually went to VM and even attempted (3 times) to reach someone via another number that I found online for the Greenville office and it continually went to VM. Just as I was leaving my last message at 930a, I finally got a call back. At that point, the appointment was supposed to start. Asked about whether the appt was going to happen and was told that the therapist I booked the appt with online was not taking new patients! Discovered theres a processing fee of about $95 for new patients and they may not be in my network with my insurance. At that point, I gave up. I couldnt deal with the run-around anymore. I should say that the woman that called me back was very friendly.

Rebecca Toulson has absolutely exceeded my expectations in a therapist. She continues to amaze me with how personable and down to earth she is, while also being incredibly intelligent and well-versed. She provides a space to be open and honest, and in return she is honest with her thoughts and recommendations. Her “homework” assignments are very helpful in continuing the self-awareness and growth process even once I leave her office. I highly recommend her!

I booked a session with Kimberly a month before the actual session for couples therapy and I called the day before the session to get double confirmation and I was told she was not seeing any new clients. But I have the email thread of me getting my session confirmed a month in advanced. This truly unprofessional , no accommodations were made to see my spouse and I on the same day we requested. I highly recommend everyone to find someone who willing hold themselves and their business accountable. There’s no reason to not see a client that you confirmed for a session a month ahead of time. If you scroll through the other reviews you will see that this isn’t the first time this company did this.

I love thriveworks and their counselors. All of their staff is wonderful! I wish they would rotate counselors on Saturdays. I feel like the ones who work every Saturday may get worn out and it would be nice to be able to have more options.

My husband and I had the worst experience at this location. I left feeling more divided, angry, and hurt than when I walked into the building. I strongly feel that me and my husband were doing better just talking one on one with each other than talking to the therapist we were set up with. The whole situation was unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. We will never return to Thriveworks and will Most certainly never recommend their services.

I had an appointment scheduled for Jessica McCraw on this Wednesday. I scheduled the appointment on September 5th and received a confirmation email.Today, I was talking with someone from the ThriveWorks corporate office to make sure my information was correct and they informed me that a Greenville administrator had cancelled my appointment and had left no notes as to why the appointment was cancelled.I was never notified of the cancellation and did not request it. I was fully prepared to go to this appointment on Wednesday, including leaving work early. Had I not contacted someone about my insurance, I never would have known that the appointment no longer existed.This is a terrible way to handle a new client, or any client for that matter.
