Two years ago my primary care dr retired. I had been her patient for over 20 years. She was in Lexington. I decided to find a dr here in Georgetown where I live. I was so stressed but found Dr Rao. What a blessing. She spends as much time as she can with me. Never have felt rushed Some places just treat you like a number. Dr Rao is kind and carrying. I cannot stress enough about the good care I get. The ladies that work there are so compassionate and are very helpful. I recommend her if anyone is looking for a primary care Dr.

Dr. Rao has been my doctor for a couple of years now. Her bedside manner is excellent. The ladies that work for her are very sweet and caring. They always work me in if I’m sick and just take really good care of me. I’m very happy with the care that she gives. If you are looking for a Doctor, I highly recommend her.

I have been with Dr. Rao for about 4 years. Really happy with her. She provides friendly, respectful, straight forward care and information. Fair prices, never had any problems with billing.

I’ve seen her for years because she accepted my insurance. However, I am looking for a new doctor. I have complained to her about my joint pain for years, I even asked if I could have Rheumatoid Arthritis because of the symptoms I’ve had. She said no you don’t have that, without doing any tests or examinations. Finally, after I went to 6 different doctors they found that PT or muscle relaxers or epidural injections couldn’t help. I asked for an autoimmune panel and now I have an RA diagnosis. She is also bad at getting in with her patients. You’ll wait a half hour while she and her nurse/receptionist are out there gossiping. She’s bad at listening to symptoms and making diagnosis. I’m done. Calling my insurance company next week to find a new doctor that accepts my plan.

Staff is nice.Along time ago I asked to switch my Med to an XR and IR she said that wasnt allowed. If she isnt comfortable doing something she doesnt say that she just makes it seem impossible or not allowed.Knowing it was, I switched physicians. I came back a few times because I like the staff. At this location you cant get any travel vaccines or anything except the flu vaccine. I switched primary care to Lexington and the first physician office I tried gave my travel vaccines. She also once only gave 15 Motrin (didnt even ask for anything but just Motrin for some back pain 🙄 But still only gave 15 the cost to fill only 15 isnt worth the effort or cost to insurance. My new physician gave 60 with 3 refills.I then got a letter in the mail after I posted this stating she kicked me out as a patient. Probably because I left this bad review on goggle that Im not editing.Rather than trying to be a better primary care or addressing issues just sending someone a letter saying they arent welcome back is just another reason to not go here.

Dr Rao and her staff are nice people. They all listen and give you credit for knowing your own body. The new laws tie her hands on some things, but if help can be found, she finds it. Also very helpful about finding needed specialists, and sending referrals

My daughter slammed her finger in a door, blood was filling under the skin, she drove herself to this office where she is a patient. With NO other patients in the office she walked in carrying her toddler was TURNED AWAY and told to go somewhere else. All she wanted was for someone to tell her how to treat it because she has a medical condition. This is DISGRACEFUL!!! I called the office and the receptionist told me she did help my daughter by telling her to go to a UTC. I am appalled!!! What a practice?! Apparently helping their patients isnt practiced!

The first thing I do when looking for a doctor is check the reviews. I moved here to Kentucky 6 mths a go. Dr. Rao has been my doctor ever since. I dont understand what the other bad reviews are about. Im able to get in her office same day, I may have to wait 15-20 minutes, but in Wisconsin, Ive waited 30-45 mins in the office, so its no big deal to me. She is a family doc, so she has to refer out on things. If she can do it in the office she will. I dont understand the negative reviews, unless these people did not get what they wanted, when they wanted it. I love coming here. I love the ladies up front. They laugh, and joke a lot, to me thats the best medicine.I would recommend Dr. Rao to anyone. She may not be for everyone, but shes most defiantly for me.

Update: I moved to Lexington almost 2 years ago but kept Dr. Rao as my PCP.Dr. Rao has been my GP for 12 years...no complaints at all! I have had no problems with last minute/urgent appointments or if/when Ive had to be referred to specialists. She and her staff have always been professional and courteous. I would recommend her to family and friends.

The healthcare issues in our country can often make patients feel like a number, this definitely isnt the case with Dr. Rao. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and spends time with you if you have questions. An important example...I had 3 different ER visits with severe abdominal pain and didnt get a diagnosis(it was after Dr. Raos office hours). ONE visit with Dr. Rao she examined me and showed such compassion and concern, she thought it was gallbladder issues and ordered an ultrasound. Dr. Rao was right, I was in surgery the following week having my gallbladder removed. I was so thankful that she knew what was wrong, the pain from gallstones was horrible. The staff is also amazing. I can call and they know who I am, they go above and beyond to help me. I highly recommend Dr. Rao and her wonderful staff.

My wife has been a monthly patient of hers for over a year. She suffers from Chronic Bones disease and needs monthly medications of which the Dr. is reluctant to even prescribe. The other morning while getting ready to see this Dr. my wife had to break up a fight between 2 of our Doxies,,she got her hand in the way and the larger one bite her hard on the hand opening up a HUGE gash. I was not available so my wife did her best, on her own to bandage the wound. When she arrived at the Drs and told them about it the totally ignored it, did not unwrap and look at it, did not ensure she had a tetanus shot and did not even prescribe any antibiotics,,what a joke this woman is as a Dr. She doesnt care about her patients who do not have insurance and have to save the money to see her in her office. She has blinders on. I have asked my wife to please look for another Dr., someone who will treat her as a patient in need of care. Because my wife has a medically diagnosed chronic condition and requires pain medication many she is under constant suspicion. The medical boards and the DEA have gotten Drs scared to treat people for what they are suffering from. Because of that it is the people in pain who really suffer the most. If a Dr. determines that a person needs medication then they should get it.

Ive been going to Dr Raos office for a couple of years. In that time she has been able to diagnose me and send me to the specialist that can take care of me. If in only 15 or so years of practices she has some bad reviews here and there, I think she is doing a great job. There are a lot of people that will not be satisfied. I would recommend her to my friends and family. Dr. Rao you cant make everyone happy. You are a great doctor.

If you are looking for a doctor for you and your whole family, look no further than Dr. Rao. She has been our doctor for years now and I have referred many of my friends and other family members to her with no regret. Dr. Rao pays detailed attention to each and every one of my family members with the utmost concern. Our appointment is scheduled with enough time for the doctor to give you the one on one attention you deserve and expect. I enjoy arriving for my appointment and NOT having to wait an hour or even half an hour to see the doctor which seems to be the norm in many offices. The staff at the office are always so very friendly. Dr. Rao puts her patients needs before her own, as seen when she had a personal emergency recently. She makes sure her patients are taken care of before leaving her office, whether daily or in personal crisis. Dr. Rao spends a lot of time with each person to ask about ME and my family members to learn more about their life, indicating we are not just a chart number. She has always been correct in her diagnosis of any illness. I challenge you to see for yourself under the care of Dr. Rao or good luck finding a doctor and staff with these qualities.

She is not care even if you are going first time to this doctor. I booked the appointment early morning and I have waited 1 hour to meet the doctor in a diagnosis room. I see only ignorance from this doctor. She refused to do preventive for my spouse and ask for another appointment. Never satisfied at all with this doctor.
