I wish I could give this place 0 stars, and I wish for nobody to ever send any of their loved ones there if they want even semi decent care. My parents had taken tours around this place and had loved it, and told my grandmother how lovely it would be for her to live there, while being able to have constant care and attention when she would need it. My grandma had cared greatly for all of us, and we wanted nothing but the best care for her, with also a great price that we would be able to afford. When my mom first moved in her mother, it was then she came to the realization that this may not have been the best place, but we still needed to give it a shot. When she had gotten there, she received a “life alert” button to get the attention of the staff whenever she needed it, and after receiving it, found out it hadn’t work which my mom did not know about. A few days after, my mom came to visit, and a woman who worked there told my mother that her own mother had fallen during the night, and weren’t sure how long she had been on the floor. When my mom asked about the life alert, they had told her that it seemed it had not worked, which infuriated my family. Not only had she been lying on the floor, she had also been disconnected from her oxygen tank. My mother was infuriated, and we needed to take her to a hospital. This place had also been demanding money from my family because they needed their payment, even though my grandmother had been there for less than 48 hours before she was driven to the hospital. Soon after that, she had been sent to hospice, where she sadly passed less than 2 weeks later. So although I would be giving a more accurate review giving 0 stars, I guess 1 will suffice.

Horrible under the direction of Rene Mitchell, Frisco Director who started out saying all the right things. However over a period of 2 months I noted a significant decline in her follow up to issues which were increasingly significant. The locked memory residence House B was frequently inappropriately or under staffed for care of the most vulnerable. My precious mom was harmed by another (Male ) resident resulting in bruises on her arms where he grabbed her and her hip from a resulting fall to the ground. She also sustained a cut over her eye that took several weeks to heal. Another incident occurred a few weeks later and she was admitted to the hospital (total of 18 days including rehab) for treatment of a huge hematoma and cut on her forehead that resulted from a fall at 1030 pm in the common livingroom. The one and only staff member(new) left her unattended and went to a room in which he could not monitor her properly to sit and do paperwork. She fell and allegedly struck her head on the brick fireplace. She arrived at the hospital without any underwear and wearing filthy fecal stained pants inside and out! Her abdominal area, groin and buttocks were crusted with dried faces. It was clear she had not been bathed in quite some time. The livingroom camera was conveniently not working to  confirm what actually happened and the employee is no longer working there. I received an unconfirmed report he was let go about 2 weeks later for walking out at night and leaving the residents completely alone..The other issue I started noting once able to enter my Mothers room again post Covid restrictions was the filthy condition her room, bathroom and linen . See my next review that focuses on this horrible situation!

I wouldn’t send my dog to this place. We moved my mother in law in and at first things went well. She was well taken care of. A few weeks later it started to change. They can’t keep track of medications. They can’t keep the staff from leaving. They can’t keep the meals hot. On top of that they mixed up her account Information and over charged her $5000! The response was, ‘ oh, we’re sorry. Accidents happen’. The staff is overworked. Some of the staff are very rude and for $3800 per month everyone deserves better than this treatment.

Trusting my care of my beloved mother has been one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do.Today, I had a conversation with Trevor in House B that I feel compelled to share, I called to check on the status of my mom who had experienced a very tough day yesterday. I had to take her out for medical appts and it turned into a rough day for me as well!Trevor took the time to speak with me and showed remarkable compassion, support and empathy to all that I am experiencing through this journey of watching my beloved mother slip away. When we hung up I felt like I had just left a wonderful support group or counseling session and this was just what I needed!I also want to acknowledge and thank Koronda in House B for her compassion and reassurance to me that my mother is in good hands. She has communicated all relevant concerns around this transition for my mom allowing my input to help effectively address them.I know my mother best and greatly appreciate that she has included me.Last but never least, I want to also thank Rachael (former director), Reva her assistant and now Rene (new director) for their timely communication and response when I have reached out to them. It is clear that their priority has always been and continues to be that the residents as well as family receive the quality of care as I described above! It is important to remember that placement of a loved one is easy and no place is ever perfect but efforts and the things I have shared here are!

I was a volunteer for a short time. During this time I witnessed the goings on of this community. It truly is a community. I felt as if I were home. When the residents woke up, we had coffee ready and breakfast on its way. The entire experience was fabulous. Everyone came in and ate together and visited as if it was a family reunion. I made the decision that if I had to put my parents in a home I would choose one that was run by Rachel. She is fabulous and so caring and understanding. The employees were like one big family. They helped each other and even came from other houses if needed. I also made the decision that when I retire from my current job that I will go to work in a senior citizen community. I can only hope to find one as good as Mustang Creek of Frisco. Keep up the good work everyone. Looking forward to being in town again to volunteer.

My dad has been here for about a year. We looked at several options but found Mustang to be the best of them all. Dad is happy and has made so many friends. The peace of mind we have knowing that he is well cared for and loved has been a blessing.

The care is very good....just be aware that when your loved one passes away you will still be charged for the next 30 days even though they are no longer there. Mustang Creek still expects you to give 30 day notice even though that is impossible. This extra financial hit comes at a time you will be faced with lingering medical bills and funeral cost. Its a policy of theirs that is completely lacking in compassion.

I have only been with the company for a short time but I am very proud to be working for such a caring company. I love that it is a family atmosphere and that the staff is so caring. You can really tell that they have the heart for care giving. I look forward to many more years together.

Working at Mustang Creek Estates for me, has been and still is a wonderful experience. The environment here is like no other, with the concept being an at home feel. Whenever you walk into any of the houses it is literally like youre walking into a home.In my opinion Mustang Creek Estates has nailed this concept. When you enter inside one of our homes, features like wood floors/tile, updated modern kitchen, granite counter tops, as well as nice big windows surrounding the living and dining area that provides an exceptional amount of natural lighting. Another nice feature is the fire place in the dining room, it has beautiful white stone that surrounds it, complementing the outside of the home. I must say my absolute favorite part of Mustang Creek Estates is that within our homes we strive to create an environment where relationships are possible. We have about 15 residents per house, this was a strategic decision, with a smaller group there is more time for the residents to have a chance to have relaxed conversations and build relationships with their neighbors. Caregivers have time to go assist residents with anything they need, not just care giving. If a resident needs someone to talk to, someone to just sit down and play a game with them. Mustang Creek Estates wouldnt be anything but a concept if it wasnt for the wonderful caregivers who have a deep passion for taking care of people.

I read Monica’s review from her perspective from having worked at MC. She was the house parent of my mom’s house for awhile then moved to another house . I have nothing bad to say about Monica and am sad to hear what she posted here . She was sweet to the residents. I hope she found gainful employment elsewhere. I am shocked to hear her allegations about MC mishandling medication . My experience with them has been the opposite. On two occasions , I have been frustrated beyond belief when Candy would not let staff administer a gel on mom’s Pinkie finger without a Dr’s order , and a second recent time , Candy would not allow staff to give mom an eye drop without a Dr’s order , even though they just had done it one month before .” Other eye, so need a new Dr’s order .“ I did get the Dr’s order and mom received her pinkie gel and eye drops . With mom’s medicine, I can say they were rigidly adhering to standards .Mom has been there two years now, and is very happy . She is well cared for and feels safe . I just came from there . We went to church on campus there . She gets her hair done once a week and loves the hair dresser. She loves her caregivers and the other residents. If you put your loved one here, stay involved . I am there 2-3 times a week and do not see loved ones there enough . If you stay involved to spot check their needs, you will be happy with MC.
