I freeze my membership on Oct 18. I asked the employee about my monthly fee because the payment day is 20, so he said if they charge monthly fee, just call them, they will refund it. And then they still charge on Oct 20. When I call to GB3, they said I need to told them a week before, thats mean they wont refund anything. Thats crazy. If you have the rule, please let all of your employee know, dont make us confuse and angry like this.

I love the fact I can pay 10 dollars to workout without being on a contract. I can even do the classes they offer. Everything is super clean and you feel like family right when those doors open. Also the best part I love I did not see anyone be judgemental.

Was very embarrassed when walking into the 10:30 Butts/guts class on Saturday. The 9:30-10:30 class looked to be in process still even though it was 10:30. The doors were open, so I walked in quietly & stood in the back. The Instructor (Ray) told me to leave, which caught me off guard because it was10:30 & the class in process did not look like the butts & guts class. I informed him I was there for the 10:30 class. He said there is no 10:30 class that the 9:30 class just flows into the butts/guts class. No where on the GB3 website says that class is a combined class. Doors shouldn’t have been open if class was in process & there should be better descriptions online for what to expect with the classes. Every rude & a waste of myTime.

Great gym, great people and stuff. Always clean and nice environment. Also lots of food like yahoos Tacos next door for good source of protein after a great workout 💪

It’s popular. So it’s busy in the evenings. The hours were recently put back to close at 11PM most days. The equipment, AC, and locker rooms are nice. I wished the water fountains were cold, but who’s perfect?

This gym is amazing. All the equipment feels new and the staff are very friendly. Can you get crowded on the weekdays evening times but other than that it’s one of the best GB3s I have gone to. :)

Made it incredibly easy to pick back up after covid. Happy theyre open and starting classes again.

I was considering joining this gym. I called and politely inquired about the child care area and if there were plans to reopen it. The person working the front desk immediately hung up on me without responding to my question. Gee, I guess I got my answer. I suppose this is how potential clients are treated when when they call to ask a simple question.

The place itself is nice enough Wake up early enough and there iant a whole lot of people. But the pool is often too hot though and I have had some stuff stolen straight off the pool deck though so watch out. Those two reasons are why it gets three stars.

Great gym, Ive been going to the Herndon and pain GB3 for several years now. The facility is always immaculate, the staff take a lot of price in making the place spotless, even vacuuming while youre working out, lol, I appreciate the attention to detail. Very supportive management team and staff is really nice and friendly. Theres tons of equipment for every type of workout you want to do, boxing bags , pool, sauna , steam room, this location has it all , right behind the gym there is a hidden trail you should definitely check out 😎

Gym has got a very good environment and a great selection of equipment. staff is very friendly and cooperative over the phone and in person. erick is exceptional and was very helpful with my registration at the gym!

It was my first day there there seem to be plenty of equipment for the amount of people there I had no trouble finding what I wanted to do to and do it. I just wish and I would have brought my shorts cuz I kept looking at the pool and feeling jealous of the people that were in it

Great gym! Ive been to a few gyms in Fresno and this one was nice equipment and spacious with a lot of cardio machines, machines in general, a TRX system, pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and a bunch of different classes. All included in the gym membership! Its great!

First day back in almost a year. Saw a lot of the same friendly faces! And they are definitely doing their part to keep things clean and everyone healthy!

The facility is great, but the communication is poor. I have tried to cancel the membership over the telephone, by a visit and via email unsuccessfully. This will be push me never to get the membership!

This club is kept very clean and functional. They do a very good job of keeping the equipment both operational and sanitary. They also seem to have all the gear and apparatus that anyone could ever need. Furthermore, I find the steam bath, Swedish bath, pool and hot tub to be great design, well kept and terrifically pleasant - all at an appropriate price! Check it out!

GB3 has been a family staple for my family for over 20 years. The value is hard to match anywhere else.

I’ve been a member for years and go somewhat religiously. Great location and super friendly staff. I wish there were more squat racks. They have some equipment on which I’ve never seen anyone but I regularly have to wait for a squat rack to free up. Sometimes up to 45 minutes. Makes me want to try another gym.

I love GB3, its the place for parents to work out! They have a super fun child care area and great staff. I tried cheaper gyms before and wasnt satisfied with their child care and classes. GB3 has an abundance of great classes and they take care of the gym.

Its a pretty good work out area. You can drop your kid off at the kids play center. Its got pool, and kids are free on Sat. and Sun.

This place is really cool I love the fact that you have a sauna jacuzzi pool steam room hot tub are right next to each other as it should be.the only suggestion I would make is that the people in the front should be more friendly and say hello or goodbye when you come and leave its just nicer

I had a great workout! The spin class is awesome! The staff was pretty friendly and the entire gym is really well kept and very clean. I like that they offer tons of wipe stations so you can swipe down machines to clean them. This is huge gym. With a lot of equipment and a lot of space to spread out. Even though its always crowded and busy I never feel like I cant get in a good workout in time. The key to any GB3 is showing up a little early and give yourself enough time to be able to find equipment.

I like this gym a lot, especially their pool. Friendly staff and clean place.

The Palm and Nees gym has the friendliest staff and I know because I go to other GB 3 clubs. I especially like the layout of the gym and the temperature. Not too hot and not too cold. I get the best workouts here.

Tuesdays Yoga class is great for beginners or advanced. Francis is wonderful and really makes the practice enjoyable. She starts class with you taking a moment to dedicate your practice to a loved one, or to be mindful for yourself or another.

Have always loved this gym. clean and easy to sign up/freeze account when needed. easy to remove people off your account unlike other gyms that make you write letters to quit and still get charged in the meantime. Im not here to make friends with the front desk so I dont know why people are complaining about them. they acknowledge me when I give them my account number and Im on my way. I put my son in daycare and he loves it. the girls actually care to remember him and know how to accommodate him when he gets moody. all in all worth the 40 we pay a month for 2 people.

I would agree that yes some of the girls at the desk in the past have not said hello and goodbye, but Allie has always been really polite and lately they seem to have new staff who are super friendly. I dont know if there is a new manager too, but the manager Ive spoken to just recently seems really helpful.The Fox news thing is beyond irritating, but I keep forgetting to ask them to have at least one CNN channel - Im sure if I asked, they would change one of the Fox channels to CNN.The GB3 kids is good. Each staff member takes time to get to know the children. When Ive had a concern, its always been addressed by the staff.The changing rooms leave a lot to be desired. They need upgrading. Also, they are not cleaned/mopped regularly enough. In the mornings the ladies showers are dominated by certain people, out of the pool, who get extremely territorial over the showers to the point that they will pull the curtain back on people if you take their shower cubicle. Obviously, this is not the fault of GB3, but it detracts from an overall good experience so this is why Ive mentioned it.All in all, I would rate this gym as good.

Ok Im on a trial membership but heres my honest opinion:1. Employees dont know how operate their equipment. Seriously. Three came by before the the GM had to come over to assist.2. Not sanitary. Theres only one place to get Wipes for the treadmills and elliptical machines and its not close.3. Friendliness. Okay not trying not to make friends with staff but act like you at least youre happy Im there.4. TV. Dozens of monitors yet only Channel 30, CNN or Fox, and ESPN. Thats it?5. Parking. Okay not much I know you can do about that but its awful.6. Positive: all equipment seems up to date and working.Seriously George, your staff needs a huge attitude adjustment. Theyre the real reason I wont be returning for a membership. They, more than once, were seen by myself and another person, visiting with each other and flirting. Not much help either as I noted above.

Unfortunately GB3 is closed again inspite of rigid compliance with CDC guidelines. Unfortunate indeed.

This is my favorite GB3 in Fresno. I’ve been a member for years. This location has the best staff, new equipment and i like the crowd. Good energy here.

My biggest complaint with this gym would be some of the people that go here, for example some cranky old people will yell at you if you try to share a pool lane with three people, and some particularly nasty people will even try to hog the entire lane to themselves because they don’t want to share with anybody at all, which is absolutely ridiculous. Other times you’ll find some people will just sit on a piece of gym equipment like it’s a recliner while they chat with a friend of theirs, unmoving, for long minutes at a time, which is incredibly annoying when you’re just trying to get your workout done and they’re taking up space on something you need to use.Their childcare facility is nice, and my two year old likes playing there, though I really wish there was an included charge with the membership dues that paid for childcare, instead of having to pay two dollars every single time I use it.Other than some minor annoyances like the ones I mentioned, I’ve enjoyed using this gym overall.

I was member at this establishment a few years back and paid three years in advance. When I used to go to workout the employees used to shut the lights off in the gym and locker rooms 15 to 20 minutes before closing time. This resulted in people falling off treadmills, dropping weights, slipping and falling in the showers or saunas resulting in injuries. I would leave the weights and not rack them because I could not see. The Manager at the time named Sean confronted be about it and I explained to him what was happening and he told me I was to aggressive and terminated my membership from all the gyms without a refund. I was told that I could not even step in the parking lot. I tried to reach George Brown by telephone several times and he NEVER returned a phone call. I guess he has too much money to care about the people that frequent his establishment. I know a lot of people that feel the same as I do. I would not recommend anyone to pay their hard earned money to these people. They are very disrespectful to the public.

This is my favorite GB3 location by far. They have awesome staff and I have only had good experiences at this location. Brought my kids in while I worked out and the child care was excellent and kept my children safe. I really only have good things to say about this location. The milburn/herndon location could really take notes on the customer service at this location. Points to palm location for being so on point. 😊

Very close to my job and work and parking is good

Im surprised to see the poor aggregate review left by other users. Have been here for 6 mo (started in Feb 2014). I spend 6-8 hours at the gym a week, mostly cardio. The spinning machines, seated bikes, treadmills, and stair machines all work great with the exception of 1 stair machine and 1 spin bike. I also swim 1x p/ wk and never seen the pool too crowded that I had to wait, and the temp is good (not too warm, not freezing cold). Ive actually found the staff friendly and am greeted most days by name (maybe thats the benefit of coming in early and often and not so much the normal experience). But honestly I dont really care about friendliness and dont prefer a small community gym feel. I like the big, open-architecture gym feel where the machines work well, the locker room is clean, and I can find what I need to get a good workout. This is my place. The only negative IMO is that it isnt open 24/7.

I have been a good customer at this gym. Whenever I encounter life issues I freeze my account in order not to close it. Nothing ever changes until this last time. Patty at their accounting department decided to change my account. I tried to explain to her that I do this in order to remain their customer. Well, Pattys amswer was, Why should we keep you at the same rate when everyone else pays more than you do? I told Patty, that I deserve it because I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER OF GB3 FOR MANY YEARS! Honor the loyalty!!! I told her that I would be cancelling my account, and her answer was. Thats fine with us I wonder if the owner of this gym is aware of the BAD customer service his accounting department gives. I took my $29 somewhere where it will be much more appreciated. Math lesson...If you keep up with NOT cleaning your gym and bad customer service, you will lose more members and that will hurt you in the long run. $29X100 = A hell of a BIG loss a year for any business. I guess thats the cost of hiring INCOMPETENT people.

Great gym just way too busy, cant take a spin class because I show up 30 mins early and people have reserved all the bikes with their belongings.. Not cool

We love staying fit and hitting up the gym GB3 Palm and Nees is our go-to place. Its clean the pool area is awesome and plenty of machines available most of the time!

They need new stair masters that work... All broken out of order... And old..... Row machines have no mat.so you slide all over the place...... Two thumbs down... Why have a new location if the old ones have broken equipment .... I like fox news... No cnn ....

Good Gym. Despite being busy there is a good number of machines to use. Ive never had a problem finding somewhere to work out.

Personal trainer, Alicia really helped me design a workout routine that wouldnt hurt my back problems and that actually makes it stronger and hurt less.

Lots of good equipment, cardio machines, and free weights. They also have a TRX area with specialized equipment.Classes are also available at no additional cost other than your membership fee. Both a dry sauna and steam room / wet sauna are available as well.This chain of gyms is more expensive than other gyms in the area, but worth every penny, in my opinion.

Probably my favorite GB3 location but I havent tried the newest one off Perrin.

Very well cared for gym with all the equipment you could ever need. Punching bags are available as well, unlike the cedar and nees location. They dont have the homey vibe that cedar and nees does, however. The front desk is friendly but less willing to communicate. Overall great gym.

Great gym, has lots of different types of machinery and equipment for members to utilize. However, some of the areas such as the sauna and equipment could be cleaned more frequently.

Its an okay gym for Fresno, and its fine for the regular old school gym goer. Not a good gym for athletes, as they do not have any of the latest equipment. There are no gyms in Fresno that have any of the leading equipment, and George Browns is no exception.

GB3 is expensive, no doubt. But you get what you pay for. This location is not as large and doesnt offer as much as the Fowler location, but for that reason I sometimes go here. Its not as crowded. If you want to do classes (Zumba, spin, etc.) go to the Fowler location, but if you are just doing cardio and weights, this is a great place for just that.

There is only ONE main reason I am rating this gym so poorly and that is for the lack of cleaning supplies available. My roommate and I just moved to Fresno and were looking for a gym to join and our other two roommates go to this location so we decided to check it out. The staff wasnt the friendliest but that didnt bother me much. The equipment and facility itself are above average and the list of classes looked like just what we are looking for. The only reason we wont be joining is that there are no cleaning supplies to wipe down cardio or weight machines after you use them. This is a high traffic gym with a lot of sweaty bodies and I was shocked that cleaning supplies isnt provided. I bring a towel with me to wipe sweat off my face and arms but when I do a tough workout I still sweat on the equipment and I always clean it when I am done. I have never been to a gym that didnt provide cleaning material. If they made this change we would probably sign up.

**Bad experience**My wife and I have only been going to this GB3 for about 3 weeks from transferring from Fit Nation and I love the transition. Better equipment, more room and sauna and so forth.Also they have a kid care which I honestly was a bit sceptical from the beginning but my wife talked me into it. And my son who is 1 year and 11 months old loves the kid care because of all the toys and the slide BUT!Something happened today at the kid care that made me worry in the first place about it. And it was something I was afraid that might happen. If you dont know how this place works. Ill explain quickly.All kids can play here in the kid care.With a few restrictions of course and rules.To make it simple...But my Son got PUSHED DOWN AND CHOKED! Today.I was at work when my wife told me this. My wife was still In the gym working out and she didnt even get a phone call or they didnt even call her name on the intercom to let her know something bad had happened. She didnt even know about the situation until she was already done with her work out which is usually an hour or so.And when she got there the other child was already gone and so were the parents. So we dont know if the other child was a 5 year old or another 1 year old who had choked our son...I was furious and and extremely pissed out when my wife told me.So I immediately called and spoke to the the girl In the front desk at the kid care and they couldnt answer the questions I had. So instead they told me that the manager was at a different location and that they would have her call me.After 30 minsI got a call from Mary the manager for the kid care at GB3.She wanted to address the problem And told me that she just had spoken to the girls who were at the location where my son was choked at. She had told me that this exact child had already done something similar to another child and had a verbal warning. And that this time the child would get a 3 month suspension. And she apologized for what had happened. But after all she had told me I still felt like she didnt understand how dire the situation could of been. I mean this was my son who could of died, if the workers werent looking while the kid was choking my son. And God knows how long he was choking my son for.They even told my wife that my son might have red markings around his neck from being choked...I think the parents should be punished as well as the child since it wouldnt make sense if the parents didnt have consequences for their childs action.I do believe that if GB3 wants to better their safety In the kid care they should Install cameras In the kid care where the parents can check on their child whenever they like with the the click of their phones. If not at least have cameras In the general area of the kid care. Which would allow us to make sure our kids are safe.Also the information that is given to the kid care is all written Down where as it should be put down in a computer, that way it can help prevent kids that are not allowed back into GB3 kid care and repeat something that happened to my son today.I dont write reviews very often but I felt like this one had to be written so I could warn other parents like myself of things that may or may not happen to their children In the kid care at GB3.

This is a great value gym. All the workout equipment and classes you could want for a dollar a day. Doesnt get much better than that!

Way too hot inside. Machines are left wet and dirty. When I asked for a towel to clean their machine, they wanted to charge me. I rather go to the cockroach infested gym down the street... At least they have air conditioning.

Olympic size pool, spin classes, yoga, endurance work outs, etc.... Perfect location with great staff!

Wow. Staff here is super rude. They all need to be taught basic etiquette skills like how to say hello & goodbye. Seems like the rude employees forgot that the members are why they have a job and why they get a paycheck. Wont be coming back to deal with that nonsense.

Good people working there but it gets really busy between 4 and 5PM.

I just called this location and spoke to kaitlyn ..i asked her what location is doing zumba..? She took the time to get all the locations times and get back on the phone and tell me where zumba is going to be at .. Thank you kaitlyn for going the extra lil mile for..me..

I have been a GB3 member for a decade and I love it there . The staff is very friendly, the equipment is very good .

Overpriced and equipment is always in need of repair. Not a good value for the options or service. Avoid 4-7 pm congested by the after work crowd.

I have been now to 2 locations ( the P/N and the H/M) .. my experience at both is meh ... pros = they have LOTS of equipment & most of it appears to be in good working condition, also both locations had a pool and a jacuzzi ... cons = the lack of sanitation (neither location provides towels, nor wipes nor even spray+paper towels for cleaning the equipment in between users, so patrons are just sweating all over the machines ... EEWWW! , the equipment is packed in really tight making it impossible to walk between rows and you dont have elbow room, the floors and equipment in the studios were filthy, and a couple more cons unique to the P/N location = the parking is terrible and the roof is leaking today (so they just put some towels on the floor and set out wet floor signs, the water is dripping the length of the light fixtures in front of the desk - note: to allow water to drip through light fixtures is an electrical hazard) and there was a LOT of condensation in the ladies locker room and bathroom areas, which again warrants an EEWWW. I would rather pay more to work out in a clean, safe gym.... I only signed a month-to-month, so if conditions do not improve by February, I will go somewhere else.
