Dr F is a very dedicated doctor he has a general concern for his patients as well as his staff. I’ve been seeing the doctor for over a year. The office seems well organized all the staff or seems to work together well as a team. I am an older woman and I have yet to see more dedication from a doctor and their staff than I have at Fredericksburg primary care

Great doctor. Been a patient for going on 6 years. Never any issues from the admin. Office is clean. Absolutely love the office manger Ashly. Certainly brightens up the place.

This is by far the most professional PC in the area. I just have to say, the clerical staff in Dr Ferguson’s office are second to none! I’d highly recommend them to anyone!

I have always had positive experiences at Fredericksburg Primary Care. I have general anxiety when it comes to going to the doctors office and that was even before the pandemic. I have had a few interactions with Ashley (I think that is her name, I think I may have called her by the wrong name a few times. She wears glasses) she the rest of the staff are fantastic and very patient with me. This clinic is highly recommended.

Id give negative stars if I could. Everything Sharon Johnson has commented is true. The office manager, or lack of, is never there to take patient complaints. If the manager, Ashley, doesnt get her way, she will degrade you or the staff. She brings her kids into the office to run rampant. Jumping all over the office, cutting the older patients off, I would think there is a liability concern if they were to get hurt. Not professional in any aspect considering she will talk trash about you to other employees and tell them your business. Yes, staff is constantly changing. They dont have proper cleaners to come in to clean so you can imagine the amount of disgust sitting on the floors. No one is certified except for the dr and Nps so if they offer allergy testing, I would ask for credentials! Charting is still paper so its unorganized. Just know, if the person bringing you back has a clipboard, theyve lost your chart unless youre a new patient. Also, Dr. F has been in legal trouble, with the boards for writing prescriptions, Google and do some research, its public information!

I was able to get in at the last minute to be seen by Dr Ferguson. The entire staff was friendly and helped me during their lunch hour. I am extremely grateful for their help. I have recommended them to co workers and will recommend them. Again in the future. Thank you Dr Ferguson and staff.

There is simply no better, more attentive doctor than Joe Ferguson, MD. I’ve trusted him for the past 12 years and he literally saved my life by listening carefully to send me for early detection of cancer. He strategically enables his employees by hiring a deep diverse reflection of our Fredericksburg community.

This practice should get 0 (zero) stars but I was forced to select the minimum in order to post this online. I had an appointment scheduled for 2 pm and was told to arrive 15 minutes earlier (my 1st time there) and to not be late; otherwise I will not be seen! I arrived at 1:45 pm, filled out the paperwork and at 2 pm was called in. I sat in a closed room for 1 hour and 15 minutes. In between I stepped outside asking what is going on. I was told that the Nurse practitioner will come see me as soon as she completes writing up prescriptions. I waited 15 minutes and stepped out again. Now I was told that as soon as she completes writing ALL the prescriptions she will see me. Around 3 pm I was told that she has an Emergency! According to the nurse the emergency occurred immediately after I was put in the room! At 3:15 another nurse told me I need to reschedule. Such an unprofessional place. I can understand emergency do happens, but the least they could have done was inform me of that when it occurred and allow me the opportunity to either wait in the closed room or reschedule. If you value your time and quality care I suggest you stay away from this place.

I know I am always in the hands of a caring professional when I am seen by Dr. Ferguson.

Ive been seeing Dr Ferguson for 4+ years. Very attentive physician. Goes over all lab tests thoroughly and explains each one. Careful with medications - gives pros and cons of all medications before prescribing. His recommendations for specialists have been exceptional.The only drawback is that there seems to be high turnover in the office and supporting cast. However, it hasnt hampered my care.

0 stars should be available as a choice!This place is an embarrassment and should not be allowed to have the right to care for people. See the list below for reasons why:1)Filthy office that is obviously never cleaned2)Uncaring, unprofessional, untrained front office staff that is constantly changing and who do not answer the phone or follow through on prescriptions, lab results, etc.3)Doctor who wastes your time-he will have you come in 30 minutes early, wait an hour or more over your appointment time in the lobby/room, see you for 15 minutes or less reading your lab results to you 1 line at a time and not allow you to ask questions in between-or sitting in absolute silence for 5 minutes or more while he is writing in your chart (awkward!), and then have you wait in the lobby up to an hour after your appointment to get your prescriptions (note, the nurse practitioners are just as bad time wise). He will also leave you in the room to answer his phone-several times in the same visit on more than one occasion.4)They order unnecessary tests in the office without explaining them to you-they will say, “Dr Ferguson wants you to have this done.” He will have them tell you that if your insurance does not pay for it, neither will you. This is not true and you will be responsible for paying it!!!5)The office is still on paper and the charts are piled everywhere. It is a mess! And, charts could be easily reached and taken by anyone passing by.6)Management is a joke. The office manager is Dr Ferguson’s wife. She will not call you back or follow up on your concerns. All of the problems in that office go back to the two of them. It is obvious that they do not care and/or have no idea what they are doing.This is definitely a case of a practice and a doctor that time has left behind. I have watched this practice decline over the years. I would say that you need to stay far away from here. There are too many other doctors and nurse practitioners out there who will ethically care for us and meet our needs. I am no longer a patient here.

Dr Ferguson as well as his PA’s are very helpful and knowledgeable giving insight into a care plan that includes preventative steps to take for a healthier lifestyleHis staff are helpful and remember you and treat as they would like to be

Dr Ferguson has been my PC literally since the day he started practicing. I have numerous Auto Immune Diseases and do have to see specialists (only because he insists) and none of them compare to him!! Dr Ferguson has always before sending out of office known what was wrong with me.I’ve NEVER trusted a doctor like I do him or encountered one that takes the time to listen to what your saying. He may not always agree with me but he hears me and NEVER has he doubted anything I’ve told him!!!TRUST ON BOTH SIDES is a major Issues in my opinion for a Dr and Patient. The first day I saw Dr Ferguson he said to me “All I ask is you trust me and I’ll do all I can to help you”! He has never let me down!!!

This is a awesome place for our PCP care. My entire family is well pleased with our care. Very patience explain our care nothing bad to say about this office.

Dont let the curb appeal fool you because inside the Staff is magnificent. The Nurse Practioner Crystal Williams is wonderful her love for people and her directness, sense of humor and her love for medicine really showed through. Im happy I switched my husband to Fredericksburg Primary Care and they will be my PCP as well. Theyre a wealth of experience and gem of a practice.

I have not seen Dr. Ferguson so I cannot to speak to the quality of care he gives. However, for anyone who would like to avoid fat shaming/stigma when visiting the doctor,The RN told that I “better lose some weight” by the next time I come despite having healthy blood work, blood pressure, cholesterol, A1C, etc. (Although, fatness is falsely equated with these health outcomes). She also recommended two fad diets (including fasting). I found these comments to be harmful to me especially since I am recovering from disordered eating and should trust health practitioners to give advice that is helpful, not harmful to my wellbeing. Luckily, instead of practicing behaviors that I am striving to heal from, I did some research about these diets and am now on a more intentional and involved journey to heal my relationship with food and my body. For that, I am grateful.Check out the podcast “Food Psych” for more info about health at every size, anti-diet content, and intuitive eating. It has been a great introduction on those topics for me.

Absolutely horrible at communication. I have been trying for WEEKS to get a hold of my former employers to recieve my W2 but have not been contacted. Since they pay more attention to their reviews than their phone calls, maybe I will finally hear back.

This is the WORST practice! You will wait and wait past your apt time, then when you are actually seen, your concerns are not met! I have had two prescriptions written wrong and when I have called to get them fixed, they refused to correct their mistakes!! I will NEVER step foot in this office again! I will not have my money and time wasted here!

I called last week on a Wednesday or Thursday to set my appointment for Tuesday at 1. I show up and the woman cant find my name at first, then she keeps looking and she finds it and she says oh man, that nurse practitioner is off today. It looks like the other two people got called but you didnt. She was extremely unapologetic and didnt really seem to care that I had taken an entire day off of work to get in there for nothing. All she really had to offer was that she could make me another appointment to which I said no thank you and I found a different doctor. I just could not believe that I did not get a phone call to cancel my appointment and the receptionist didnt even care. I will definitely not be going back here

Hard to get through on the phone but AWESOME MEDICAL CARE.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ferguson for many years. Dr. Ferguson is a very caring doctor who takes the time to explain everything to me. Sometimes I have to wait but I know that is because he is spending just as much time with other patients who need his care. When I do not feel well Dr. Ferguson always fits me into his full schedule. Dr. Ferguson has had some rude front office staff in the past and I recognize their names leaving reviews trying to sabotage him, I am glad they are gone. His front office staff now is the best ever! They always return my calls which has been an issue in the past. I am so glad he has staff now that put in as much care into their job as he does.

Dr. Ferguson is the best doctor ever and has been my primary care physician for over 25 years. He listens, cares and is available during weekend hours.

I gave this place one star because I’m required to rate something. If it were possible I’d give this place negative 50 stars. Awful...everything about this place is so awful! So much is wrong with this doctor and management (aka his new wife who has a record and no medical credentials), and I could go all day, but for the sake of my time I’ll just make a short list:-doctor and the manager always seem high-staff is god awful and know NOTHING-turnover rate is ridiculous, there’s a group of new faces every 2 months-you’ll be at your appt for 2-3 hours yet only have about a 15 minute face to face with the physician-the back area smells like someone is smoking straight weed from time to time (I’ve personally smelled this twice in the past 4 months)-referrals and prior are auths NEVER get done on time, if not months-years later!-doctor makes me take some ridiculous test called a tm flow that turns out my insurance won’t cover so now I’m 8,000 in the hole! After researching the test I’ve found out it isn’t accurate by any means!-can’t ever get anyone on the phone and when I do, I get placed on hold for 45 mins only to be hung up on when the person realizes she messed up!-you can forget about getting your script on time without any mistakes-very inaccurate diagnoses of symptoms and treatments!!!!If you’re going to continue to be seen here then I fully suggest you to have another doctor on stand by, to get a second opinion from. This guy has absolutely NO IDEA what he’s doing!! He still has paper charts in which mine has been lost on 3 separate occasions! Like seriously do they just let ANYONE become a doctor these days?! He gives doctors such a bad name !! I’ve pulled my family from this practice and our new physician said she knows allllllll about Dr. Ferguson and his joke of a clinic. Very telling.

Terrible, this doctors office is terrible. I made an appt for a strep test and it took them one month to return my phone calls and make an appt. Once I finally got an appt, the doctor said all my symptoms were from allergies. I asked to have a test performed because I knew my symptoms were more than just seasonal allergies. After I left the office, I waited for a phone call back regarding my results. I got no call back. About 3 weeks later, my symptoms were progressively getting worse, so I called back stating that my throat is still inflamed and irritated. I was informed that they would look into it and call me back. I got no call back. Couple days later I called the office to follow up. They said they would send in a prescription for antibiotics because my symptoms werent going away. The antibiotics made me extremely sick with the side effects. After two days of taking them, I stopped and called my doctor immediately to get another antibiotic prescribed that wouldnt make me as sick. I spoke with someone in the office and was informed that the doctor would call me back between appts later that day. I got no call back. I called the next day and was informed of the same thing, that the doctor would call me back between appts. I still got no call back. This went on for about 2 weeks. I got the runaround and no one in the office had any record of the antibiotics that were given to me nor did they have a record of the pharmacy I used. After being sick for 2 months, I had enough, my doctor obviously didnt seem to care about me. I called the office looking for answers on why they are treating a patient with such disrespect and lack of interest in my best health care. The lady in the office informed me that there is no other antibiotic the doctor can prescribe me (they didnt even offer me other medicine to help with the nausea or anything.) They said there is nothing they can give me and nothing they can do. Then the lady informed me that the strep test did come back positive. What?! I wasnt informed of my test results until 2 months later and Ive talked to the doctors office numerous times. Because of them, I had to make multiple appts with other doctors in regards to me having strep untreated for 3 months due to the lack of support and care from this doctors office. My new doctor mentioned that he has heard of this doctor doing this to other patients before. I will never go back to this office and I would most definitely not recommend them to anyone for ANY reason. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

They never answer their phone and they dont call you back. I have had to go to the office just to get an appointment. They dont answer pharmacist calls either

This is the office manager at Fredericksburg Primary Care, PC, Lane Siebert. We recently had to fire a number of employees and we expected that they would retaliate online; we were right.

Just awful experience.Dirty waiting area.Make you wait 1hour after the appointment time to be seen by the Doctor.Cant even ask questions to the Doctor while he reviews my chart.Read the negative reviews from others I cant agree enough.
