Dr. Richards is a terrific orthopedic specialist. I’ve gone to him for both hands on two separate occasions for being accident prone. Both times he took the approach of start small, and work big. I can’t express enough how much this means to me, since I’m in the medical field and have seen so many physicians order testing and treatments that aren’t necessary.He’s very easy to talk to, and his PA Brooke is awesome too!

Back in 2018 I had been bitten by a cat on my thumb. The cat bit so hard that my tendon in my thumb snapped. It had to be replaced. To dr. Richards performed the surgery by taking the extender tendon from my index finger which I learned your index finger has two so you actually have a spare part. He used that pending for my index finger to place the index finger in my thumb. He did a wonderful job. My thumb is fully functional. His staff was wonderful today I had to go in because I popped a tendon in my ring finger on my right hand. Thankfully I dont need to have surgery but I chose to go back to Dr. Richards just in case I needed to. He and his staff are awesome they actually listen to what your problem is and you can actually ask questions if you dont understand. They are very patient and will work with you. I highly recommend him if you have problems with your hands.

Called for appointment. I have DeQuerven in my wrists. I cannot grip anything. Ive had this condition for years and usually see another doctor in the area. My doctor unavailable for 3 weeks and that is using his PA.This doctor available in one week but wont even schedule until my doctor sends records which my then I will be unable to drive.

I have been experiencing hand pain over the last two months. Before it progressed, I made an appointment to see if something could be done to calm down the inflammation/pain. X-rays were taken and an exam was done. At the time of the visit I was not in pain; I was given no treatment of any kind.I was not seeking pain meds. However, I was offered NO treatment of any kind. Just told to come back if it persists or gets worse; basically it was a waste of my time and money. Although everyone was nice I wont go back.

Dr Richards was very thorough. After making sure my surgically repaired distal bicep tendon was still intact he did a ultrasound on my shoulder too making sure there was no damage to the bicep at the shoulder.

My wait time was very short. I had x-rays taken and met with the PA and Dr. Richards. I also had an injection in my wrist. In all, I had encounters with about 8-9 people. In each encounter, I was treated professionally and kindly. The office was very clean and the waiting room was spaced for good social distancing. Dr. Richards made sure to explain what I needed to know regarding my upcoming surgery and answered all my questions.

Im from Ohio and came to Fort Myers for the winter. I needed wrist surgery for a couple years but I thought I would wait till I got here and wouldnt have anything to do but relax. I looked up surgeons and Dr Richards had a high rateing so I picked him. Im so glad I did. He is so nice and did an excellent job on my wrist. When it heals I will not even see the scars. All of the people working there is very nice also. I had so e people tell me before I had the surgery dont have it down here the Doctors up North are better. How wrong they are. Dr Richards is the best.

I went to go see doctor Richards about my wrist I understand that there isnt much that he can do for me because I didnt get to him on time to get a cast on it because it was broken but now I have nerve damage and Im not sure if Im supposed to go back to him or not he did not give me any medication for it and Im still in a lot of pain so I left without any explanations and thats the way we left things but he was very polite and a lot of help I would highly recommend him if I was smart enough I should have had this surgery done on my wrist a lot sooner

I was referred to Dr. Richards by my primary doctor for pain in my right hand. He was very patient in listening and explaining to me all the possible treatments for my condition and made me feel very at ease. My first critique of the office was most definitely going to be the amount of time waiting to seen; however, I must applaud the office for running on time, each and every appointment I have had. This is the first medical office I have EVER been in that respects your time too.Dr. Richards and Brooke (his PA) presented themselves in a very caring, professional manner. I cant speak highly enough of these providers. They address your issue, make a plan and work toward the most optimal resolution of your problem. In the day and age where you have become a number in most medical practices, this is one place where you are not. I have been extremely impressed from the front desk staff all the way to the Doctor. I transferred from another practice because although I was a patient for many years the quality of care had declined rapidly. This office is a complete 180! So glad I found them.

Dr. Richards performed surgery on my rotator cuff three years ago and recently corrected an issue with the bursa sac in my elbow. Dr. Richards thoroughly and completely explained both procedures fully and answered all my questions regarding my expectations for healing and further usage. I would not hesitate to return to Dr. Richards for any other surgical or care issues of my shoulder, elbow or wrist. I trust his expertise and care completely.

Dr. Richards is an extremely knowledgeable and caring specialist that is becoming a dying breed in this modern medical climate. I used to see Dr. Richards when I lived in Fort Myers and when I moved to the east coast I looked for another Orthopedist but found that task to be easier said than done. A few months ago I developed a problem with my hands and saw a local hand specialist and that turned out to be a waste of time. So I made the trip to Fort Myers and saw Dr. Richards who spent time reviewing my symptoms and did an complete exam with x-rays and labs and then followed up with me when he got the results. There isnt enough room in this review to tell you how great this man is or how friendly and attentive his staff is. I have been an Orthopaedic PA for over 40 years so I speak from experience when I say you cant find a better upper extremity Orthopedist than Dr. Jeffrey Richards.

I went to Dr. Richards due to severe pain in my right arm from a car accident, he kept telling me it would heal. Second visit same msg, he did not recommend PT or anything. Close to 2 years later Dr. Collins found a tear, Im currently recovering from surgery. When doctors minimize your injuries from a car accident, the responsible party gets this info and does not take your injuries serious. I ended up with injuries to the neck that affects my left fingers, 2 severe pinched nerves L5 and S1 and the tear in my right elbow. Thanks for wasting my time and causing the responsible insurance company to minimize my injuries. I would never recommend you !!Paige your number is incorrect, its a hotel.

Every time I go to O.S. I have a great experience. Everyone is polite, knowledgeable and professional. When I fell and broke my right wrist I was introduced to Dr Jeff Richards. He did a wonderful job, and I have 100% range of motion in my wrist.So, when I needed Rotator Cuff Surgery three weeks ago, I immediately called Dr. Richards. I am three weeks into my recovery, and I am doing fabulous. I would and have recommended Dr. Richards to all of my friends & family. Sometimes you just need a little push to have yourself taken care of. I would not hesitate to have Rotator Cuff Surgery.Do not listen to all the horror stories, they are just that stories.
