I had Caract Surgery on both of my eyes, this month, and Dr Franz did an excellent job restoring my vision. The only regret I have is not doing it sooner. For all those who fear the surgery dont. Dr Franz is an amazing surgeon, I cant say enough about my experience.

Great doctors, staff and work. Just wish the wait time was less. Guess thats the trade off for going to a popular doctor! My cataract surgery went very well and the follow up for 2 other conditions is satisfactory.

Dr Frantz did a great job on my Cataracts after getting the go ahead from his Retina specialist, Dr Warrier. I could see beautifully for about three or four days. Retinopathy was affecting my vision already. Had Dr Warrier used one of the four minutes she spent with me warning me that this would happen, I would have possibly held off on the Cataract procedure. Being able to have great vision for less than a week was not worth the cost!

Im sure Dr Frantz is awesome. But my experience of this practice was disappointing for me. I have a cataract on my right eye. First, you better be affluent to walk in the door. This is a high priced money machine. Arriving at my appointment, the massive paperwork was a red flag. Mostly my financials, mothers maiden name, intimate details as if I were buying a car. Then, it was like a manufacturing line, moving from one room to the next. I had no idea what they were looking to accomplish or what I was buying. Only to find out I need to see another dr before I even get to discuss a procedure. $250 bucks wasted on a process I cannot continue. You dont know what your getting into until the end. The cash register. This office is all about making $$$.

Dr .E was great. But the staff was HORRIBLE. No one could make an appointment. They said they would call the next day because the schedule was off. So only one person can schedule????. The next day is here and I tried calling to schedule and first call they said she just walked in and will call in 5-10 minutes. 3 hours later. I call again, they say shes not in...oh wait the supervisor said she is...( maybe a supervisor could schedule) nope!!! They put me to VM. I left my name, # and reason for calling. A few hours later. No call. This is not fair to patients. Poor Dr. E your staff is awful. Im sure you would be more productive with a staff that is competent.

We have been going to Dr. Frantz for many years.He did our Cataract surgery. He is a very kind, gentle surgeon and person.We go to Punta Gorda for our annual check-ups.We are very happy with Dr. Frantz.

Friendly staff and very helpful but I’m irritated because I feel I’ve wasted my time. Basically told the doctor I’ve had an issue with my left eye for months and doctors just keep giving me the same antibiotics and steroids that do nothing for me. I was hoping this appointment would be different. I told the Doctor that the NEO/POLY/DEX medication that I used twice in that past not only did nothing for me, but the eye doctor I saw in April told me I have a Neomycin allergy. So he sent me home with a prescription for Maxitrol which I learn at the pharmacy is the NEO/POLY/DEX medication, ha! I’ll just have to accept the fact I won’t figure out what’s going on with my eye instead of spending my days off getting my hopes up trying to find a Doctor and spending money for the same results:(

I saw Dr. Ehrlich yesterday for a cosmetic appointment. Dr. Ehrlich and his team answered all of my questions explained everything very clearly. The front office staff and his team were very prompt and professional. I am beyond satisfied with my results! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ehrlich and the team at Frantz Eye Care! My father trusted Dr. Frantz with one of his most important senses, his vision. After a few visits he told my dad that he had Mascular degeneration. The dr dilated his eyes and gave him a shot. My dad called me in a panic. He had no way to get home since he now couldnt see from the dilation. No preparations from the dr. Then...after about 2 weeks no follow up from the doctor & my dads vision was suddenly going away quickly. I called the doctor and they said they were unable to help him. He has wet mascular degeneration and he will lose his vision. After research and speaking with many other doctors and specialists we found out that had he just treated my dad ASAP he may not have lost his vision. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!

Best eye clinic I’ve ever gone to! Just had surgery with Dr. Robins; he is an excellent doctor based on my experience. He is very thorough, you can truly see that he cares for his patients. He even called on Saturday after surgery to see how I was doing. The entire staff has been so helpful and attentive, I really couldn’t recommend this office more! You’re in great hands!

Friendly staff, beautiful office with complimentary cookies and drinks while waiting to be seen. Dr. Nguyen is very patient during eye exam, even when I would cringe. She’s wonderful!They have a great variety of glasses including high end brands. Just a note though, ask for info on any warranties on lenses while purchasing because they don’t tell you upfront or they just forgot to tell me.

All the staff were friendly, efficient and professional. You were moved from Dept to dept so you never sat in one place too long but I was still there 2 1/2 hr. Dr Frantz didnt push surgery and didnt suggest I needed the most expensive surgery. In fact, he said I would do fine with just the basics. I feel like Im in good hands.

I was lucky to get an appointment very quickly. The exam went very smooth and was handled professionally by everyone I came in contact with. Dr Nguyen was very thorough and explained the process to me. I also received an e-mail the very next day with a detailed explanation of my exam. The only criticism is that I had to wait nearly an hour past my appointment time before being seen.

From the minute I walked in until I left, I felt that I was in great hands. Very organized and efficient office. I had the pleasure of meeting professional staff who genuinely care about you. They do listen to what you say.Dr.Nguyen was very caring and helpful. She answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. I would highly recommend everyone to Frantz eyecare.

I was extremely pleased with the friendliness, efficiency, and skill of the entire staff. Getting evaluated for potential cataract surgery takes awhile, but there clearly was a workable process in place and the wait time between procedures was acceptable. I am impressed with Dr. Frantz and the options for surgery he is able to present. I feel that Im in the best possible hands and am totally relaxed about my upcoming surgeries.

Had the cataracts removed from both of my eyes done this year and had corrective lens put into the eyes. My left eye is for distance and my right eye is set for near. I love being able to see everything I was missing before. Everyone was patient, very professional and helpful. They even changed an appointment at the last minute for me when something personal came up. Very polite and understanding. I will recommend Frantz Eye care to everyone.

I would rate it 5 star. I had an appointment for 9:30 and was called shortly there after. Although my time with Dr. Kahn came about one hour later, I was kept busy with all the testing he had ordered prior to seeing me. So the time went fast. Very efficient. Everyone is very friendly and very professional. Have been a patient here since at least 2000. Highly recommend.

Having worked for over 20 yrs. in physicians offices, I understand that sometimes delays occur, but waiting over an hour just to start my visit is too long a delay. Dr. Frantz and staff are extremely friendly, competent and caring, but the scheduling needs adjusting. My time is as valuable as others and spending over 2 hrs for a visit is too long.I will continue using Dr. Frantic and staff, but hope things can be tightened a bit.

Yesterday was my first visit. The appointment was for 12:45 and I was called at 1:15. The staff were all genuinely pleasant and professional. Dr. Khan is very upbeat, charismatic and supportive and I have confidence in his expertise. Sally at the front desk is also outstanding as were Lisa and Lessy (not sure about those names!).

Form the new patient forms, which I was able to prepare on line to the fact that I was taken on time, I commend how this office is run. From the greeting receptionist, (who was extremely pleasant considering some of the rude patients that she had to deal with), right on through to the check out, I was treated professionally and on time. Definitely 5 star!.

From a nurse s perspective: the areas were clean including the bathrooms, staff washed their hands ALL staff washed their hands and wiped down equipment. The staff have been well educated in customer service .. They greeted me by name and introduced themselves. Educating the client seems to be a priority and it was well done.

Wow,I had my Lasik surgery two days ago and I still cant believe that I dont need to wear glasses anymore.After I asked everyone I know and google few weeks I decided to choose Dr.Frantz.I was very nervous but Dr.Frantz is friendly and professional,he answered me all the questions before and after surgery. His stuff is great,specially Nicole.I wish to be so easy to find affordable eye drops that I need it after surgery. Thank you much!Now finally can wear every sunglasses I want.🙆

The total experience of my pre-op cataract surgery appointment was great. Each person I had contact with made me feel confident I made the right choice. Braille (sorry if I misspelled her name) was especially nice as well as competent during the process.

I had a great experience with the surgical side of Frantz eye care. This is purely for the eye doctors side. My appointment was scheduled at 2:00, at 2:30 I asked when I should tell my babysitter I would possibly be finished. I was told it would be at least another half an hour until I would actually be seen. I asked a few times when scheduling the appointment how much time I would need, so that I could schedule my babysitter. They forgot to include and over hour wait just to start your appointment. Very frustrating, and not necessary. I will not be seeing them for my eye appointments ever again.

My interactions with everyone at Franz Eye Center are always good. I received excellent care before, during and after my cataract surgery in 2012. My follow up today for an annual eye exam was of the same caliber.

I saw Dr. Legiec OD for my regular check-up. He is such a pleasure to work with and the Frantz staff is always courteous, up-beat, efficient, and effective in their services. I was in and out in under an hour and EVERYTHING had been checked and verified. Dr. Legiec is always so polite, careful and kind to his patients. Everybody at Frantz Eye Care does their job properly and with joy! This office, Dr.,and staff are the best!

I just had a Lasik vision correction procedure done at Frantz Eye Care in Fort Myers with Dr. Robin this past Friday, and I couldnt be happier with the services they provided. It was a pleasant experience from the initial consultation straight through to the post-op appointment. Dr. Robin even called me after hours the day of and over the weekend after the procedure to check in and make sure I was feeling ok. I was incredibly happy with the experience from start to finish, and I highly recommend them!

This was the worst experience we have had in a long time. Talk about a run-around and a rip-off. First off my son wanted lasix surgery. The office gave the free consultation on the lasix surgery and whether he was a candidate. Then we were told that he would have to have an eye exam for $99 in order to complete the procedure. After taking our $99, they said he was not a candidate for the procedure. Now if they are so trained in this surgery, as they claim, they knew that after the first consultation that he was not a candidate, but continued on to snag our $99 eye test. Cheaters! I would never recommend this office for anything to do with your eyes. Run!

A misdiagnosed Rx for glasses (made at third party) resulted in 2nd exam. A drastically new Rx was prescribed the day the glasses (which were impossible to see out of properly) attempted to be picked up. Dr Frantz’ office refused to bear the responsibility for their associate’s misdiagnosis. The resulting $150.00 surcharge for having to remake the glasses with the correct 2nd Rx was denied by Frantz’ office claiming THEIR OWN OPTICAL DRPT (I attempted to order from initially but they WOULD NOT GET THE LINDBERGH FRAMES I DESIRED) would remake the Rx within 30 days at n/c. Also stated 3rd part optician “builds in and should remake the correct Rx at their own expense!” Frantz’ associate Dr Nguyen made the initial Rx diagnosis INCORRECTLY. It was NOT the optician’s fault as the optician made the Rx as prescribed the 1st time by Frantz’ office associate. I will take this to small claims court AND change ophthalmologist offices after being one of Dr Frantz’ initial patients (51st) and loyal since 1992 (25 yrs)!!!!!Post Script: Drs office called me today 11/17/2017 10 AM and askedme to come into the office Monday 11/20 9 AM to pick up the $150.00for the re-make for the lenses based upon the correct(ed) Rx provided.

Cataract surgery patient with follow up re my vision. This place is horrible. Each time I went in, they had no idea why I was there. Many times you spend the ENTIRE afternoon being shuffled from one room to another as you wait for a room to open up. Just experienced my last straw with them, because the people downstairs, according to the billing department, failed to file the insurance for my new glasses which were required due to a change in my vision after the cataract surgery. She admitted this was a screw up by the people downstairs. Just because a doctor might be the best in his field, doesnt mean that his staff cant be totally inept and that his operations team doesnt need an entire overhaul so that his office is run more smoothly and these kinds of costly mistakes dont happen! Done with this particular practice. Ill go elsewhere.

About eight years ago my father had cataract surgery with Jonathan Frantz. Surgery on the first eye was fine but there was a complication with the second eye. After surgery Dr. Frantz came out to explain to me that surgery had taken longer because my father had a floppy iris and surgery was a little more complicated. Later that day after surgery we called the office back because as per the post-op directions, my Dad was having uncommon effects. We visited the outpatient center in Cape Coral and the doctor there was extremely concerned about what he saw. He made multiple phone calls and ended up draining my Dads eye manually to relieve some of the pressure. He eventually sent us back to the main surgery center where, after examining Dad they scheduled him for another surgery the following morning. The next day Frantz performed surgery on that eye again. Things seemed better but after a few days my father noticed that he couldnt see straight ahead, at the center point of his vision. After three different appointments we FINALLY got to see Dr. Frantz again. I had many questions during that appointment and while I was not angry or offensive at all, just concerned, Dr. Frantz WAS extremely defensive and rude. He even got up to leave after maybe three minutes with us saying its obvious they dont want to hear what we have to say, when all I had been trying to clarify with him was if the complication with the surgery could have caused the vision loss. He repeatedly said that the appointment immediately following surgery #3 showed my Dad at100% vision and any other problem must be something new or unrelated to surgery. He was very rude, arrogant and unsympathetic. We ended up having to go all the way to Naples and Miami to seek second opinions because area doctors wouldnt treat Dad since he was Frantzs patient. Ultimately there was nothing any other doctor could, or would do, so all these years later my father still doesnt have all his vision in that eye. Im aware Frantz cranks out thousands of successful surgeries each month and Im sure hes great at what he does but on the rare occasion where there may be a complication, he is obviously more concerned with covering himself than with helping his patient find a solution. He treated us as if we were trying to sue him, or accuse him falsely, or worse. I would never, ever recommend this doctor to anyone. If everything works out Im sure hes fine, but when there is a problem, as there was in my fathers case, he is unreasonable and unhelpful and irresponsible. I think a persons behavior during a crisis speaks volumes of their character. Im so sorry for Dad that we found that out the hard way.

Have not Dx or resolved my problem of needing to close my R-eye to read books or magazines

1) They charged me an extra $50 if I wanted to try more than one type of contact lenses2) They offer contacts they represent, which didnt work for me. The contacts are not the top ones3) I am back for the third time and put in a 1 hour wait, so far...4) I feel cheated, disrespected and wasted a lot of time

Dr Robin is a master surgeon. Today I received LASIK eye surgery and after a very uncomfortable afternoon I woke up this evening with very little swelling, crystal clear vision and feeling almost completely normal. Wow. Be assured that if you choose Dr Robin and the LASIK team at Frantz Eye Care, you are receiving the best of the best - the top 1%.Also, many are hesitant because of price. It is actually very reasonable considering it includes the surgery and all 5 follow up exams. They offer a financing option and think of all the money youll save on glasses and contacts. Personally Im just grateful to be able to dose off on the couch without having to get up to take out contacts or be able to swim with my kids without losing a contact or getting my glasses wet.Thank you Dr Robin, Nicole and everyone else on the LASIK team

When I met Dr. Ehrlich for my initial consultation and examination, I liked him and felt comfortable with his diagnosis and recommendation for a punctual snip to relieve the constant tearing of my left eye. He told me both tear ducts were completely closed and the snip would open them and hopefully, take care of the problem. He advised that he would give me a Valium to relax me, then a numbing eye drop and injection before he dialated the tear ducts and did the snip. The day of surgery he informed me that he would only do one of the tear ducts to avoid a later problem of dry eye.....again, I was comfortable with his recomendation. At the current time, the surgical procedure seems to have been successful which is why I gave him 2 stars; however, I was subjected to a great deal of pain during the procedure which was not addressed. Upon arriving, I was not given anything to help me relax, only an eye drop and a painful injection which seemed to numb my upper lid more than the lower which was the one actually being operated on. From the beginning of the surgery, my discomfort and pain was obvious to the nurse, Doctor and my husband who was also in the room; however, Dr. Ehrlich did not stop or pause the surgery to administer additional medication, nor even ask what degree of pain I was experiencing. His nurse patted my arm and offered her hand for me to squeeze and later appologized that he had hurt me. He showed no compassion for me as a patient. I do not intend to continue my eye care with Dr. Ehrlich and can not and will not recommend him to others. I explained my feelings to Dr. Ehrlich on my follow up visit and expressed my hope that he had learned from this experience and would never subject another patient to this level of treatment.

I just moved to the southwest and needed to find a glaucoma doctor, but hadnt done it yet. I was having a problem with something in my eye and that made my search more urgent. I found Frantz Eyecare on the internet. While I was on their site a rep began messaging with me. I managed to get registered there and the next day I received a call to make an appointment. They saw me within 2 days. I was very impressed that they would do that for a new patient. First I saw Lisa who was very friendly and comforting, as well as thorough. She was a great introduction for me to the new place. Then I saw Dr. Nguwen and was very impressed with her professional manner and knowledge of my condition. She fixed me right up, prescribed a few meds to help, and made me a followup appointment for tomorrow morning since we are leaving for up north in the afternoon. They couldnt have been more accommodating and helpful, including the checkout woman who was more than helpful in scheduling my next appointment that would be convenient for me. The office was very professional, lots of staff, and I was seen very quickly. I will definitely schedule to see the glaucoma specialist when I get back. I was very comfortable with this center. They seemed willing to listen and work with me, for example by not dilating my eyes today when I asked them not to. Everyone was gentle with my eyes.
