My husband has been a patient of Dr. Mathers for over 30 years and he is the best. The problem we have is with the staff that is there and how rude they are and dont seem to have the knowledge to perform their jobs.We just had another incident today where the office person insisted that we didnt have insurance and not only would not listen to my husband, but spoke to him like he was 7 years old to only find out that she kept running last years card and argued that she didnt need the new one. Also, first we were told he didnt need lab work, but then oh wait!, yes he does! Very frustrating.

My doctor had referred me to Dr. Mather and mentioned that it might take awhile to schedule him. I set up an appointment for earliest available, which was 2 months away. Fine. On the day before my appointment, his office called to cancel because he wouldnt be able to make it (?) - they then proceeded to try and schedule me another 2 months out! Unacceptable. I told them to please find an earlier time, as I had already been waiting. They said they would call me back to reschedule. And guess what? That was almost a week ago and still no call back. Very unprofessional. Ill be seeing someone else!

Dr. Mather was referred to me as a good endocrinologist but my experience with him was not a good one. On my first visit, he reviewed blood tests ordered by my primary doctor and told me to continue taking current thyroid medication. On my second visit, looking for ways to improve my thyroid symptoms (mainly being tired all the time), he just ordered a blood test and said he was going to call me after he got the results. After 2 weeks and 3 phone calls to his office to get a call back from him, a nurse called me to let me know that the results of my blood test were all normal. When asked what should I do about being tired all the time, she said Dr. Mather is an endocrinologist, what do you want him to do? Really? Did the nurse think I did not know I was seeing an endocrinologist? There was no need for her to be that stupid or mean. And if Dr. Mather, as an endocrinologist, cannot treat his patients thyroid symptoms or call his patients back himself, as he indicated on my visit, then he is not a good doctor. I will not continue to pay to see him to be that inefficient. Time to seek another doctor that will take patients seriously and care about them.

I have been waiting 3 months for my appointment, and it was just cancelled! Mellennium Physician Group needs to take this guy out of their system.

An inadequate Endocrinologist,,,,,practically a MORON. Avoid at all costs. His knowledge of intense conditions is zero. Seriously, he takes credit for conditions other doctors DXed........ he needs to retire !
