My husband had been falling in the night. The last fall I had to literally drag him to the hospital. He could no longer stand or walk. He was losing the feeling in his hands. Dr. Dusseau did emergency spinal separation surgery in March 2020. He saved my husbands life! Dave is working hard to relearn how to walk, how to dress himself. Dr. Dusseaus office has been nothing but kind and caring. Dr. Dusseau is a remarkable surgeon and human being. Thank you Doctor.

Three years of suffering with hip and knee pain due to sciatica and severe stenosis kept me from being able to play golf anymore . Went thru spinal decompression, pain management, physical therapy for all that time and no relief.After my second meeting with Dr. Dusseau his interaction and attention to detail about my condition and the surgical procedure made me feel so at ease I agreed to move forward with outpatient surgery, and am so glad I did. My three week followup was yesterday and I feel great , no more sciatica, discomfort or pain. I had severe spinal stenosis in several parts of my lumbar spine. Before surgery I was only able to stand or walk for a few minutes. Within days after the surgery I was just a normal person again. My surgery was about ten months ago, and Im grateful to have had such a competent, interesting, and caring surgeon. His whole team exudes warmth and caring. WARNING TO WOLVERINES: Hes a Buckeye! ;-)

My surgery worked but only lasted 9months.After that Dusseau was hard to reach and lee pain management is a nightmare. Nobody should have to wait that long for injections. I also mentioned other areas in my spine that were causing pain and they shrugged it off. That area has now progressed, and I believe it could have been taken care of. Too many patients. Not enough time. Health Care is broken

Incredible care, knowledge, kindness and thanks to him, I avoided an unnecessary surgery that the Neurologist in Naples, wanted to do in a hurry. There should be more doctors like Dr. Dusseau. He gave me hope and took the time to explain and hear me out.

What a wonderful physician ! Compassionate, caring and competent. He is truly one of a kind. When my wife had an MRI for excruisating back pain he called her at home to tell her he found the problem. Scheduled and did surgery in a matter of days. Highly recommended !

The office staff is pleasant and I’ve had both Dr. Dusseau and Dr. Plakis. I’ve had a total of 5 spinal surgeries 4 by Dr. Dusseau and 1 by Dr. Platkis. I respect both Dr’s and their P.A.’s. They have the best bedside manor and explain everything. They don’t rush when at the office or in the hospital. They are amazing all the way around. I can’t say enough good things about them.

My husband fell and had a brain bleed. Dr. Dusseau did a craniotomy most successfully. Not only is he a very competent brain surgeon but his follow up care was personal and compassionate. Imagine meeting a brain surgeon who also feels like a friend, willing to answer questions and give helpful advice. Most encouraging and competent!

This review is about a doctor Salim that is supposedly on call at Lee Memorial Hospital. I am in insulin-dependent diabetic with a current blood sugar of 512, the nurse on the floor that is taking care of me needs to call him and get his authorization to give me the insulin to lower my blood sugar so I dont go into diabetic ketoacidosis. She called over an hour and a half ago, and he has not returned the call. He doesnt want to be bothered. He is putting my life in jeopardy. He is being completely unprofessional in his responsibilities. He does not need to be employed here anymore in my opinion. The nurse has the insulin, syringe, and anything else she needs to correct my situation. But should she take it upon herself to go ahead and give me the insulin, shes placing her own job in jeopardy. short of being dead, there is no excuse for this behavior. Im going to take this as far as I possibly can, Im going to call an attorney tomorrow morning early about his malfeasance and his blatant medical malpractice. you should know better than to do this Dr Salim. You give a place with great people doing excellent work a tarnished reputation. You are a disgrace to the profession. Look forward to litigation.

I had Dr Bijan Backtian perform lumbar surgery on me in 2008 I have now retired out of Ft Myers and called for my surgery results sent to my new doctors The results from Dr Backtian surgery were excellent and increased my physical activity range tremendously I have only heard positive results from others who have had back surgery with the Lee Co Neurosurgeons
