My appointment with Dr. Shaffer was like a breath of fresh air. He listened to my concerns and I feel like Im finally going to get some answers after years of suffering from an undiagnosed issue. He took the time to ask questions and explain things, and the appointment never felt rushed. He has a great personality, so he was very easy to talk to. Im so relieved to have Dr. Shaffer on my side and I cant thank him enough.

Was very pleased with Drs knowledge & concern! She explained thoroughly the diagnosis & possible treatments. She allowed my PT daughter to sit in & be involved in appointment. Only difficulty was that scheduler had overlapped some appointments causing her to be late seeing me. Nurse was fabulous too!

Dr Golen was very sensitive to our situation and gave thoughtful answers to our questions and needs. We appreciated his help and his follow-up appointment being made in a timely manner.

Sara Schaefer is amazing! She is patient, knowledgeable, and took her time listening to all of my concerns and answering all of my questions. She was the only person to diagnose my issue (it is rare) after seeing 6 doctors. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Dr. Strader is an exceptional neurologist and provides me with regular Xeomin injections for cervical dystonia, which has made my life exponentially better. This clinic is also in a great location with caring staff as well. This is the sixth neurology practice Ive been to since being diagnosed in 2008 and I have never been happier with my care! Simply the best Ive found all around!

I found the Neurology Clinic very helpful, informative, and focused on providing me the support I needed in a time of heightened stress. Staff took excellent care of me before and after my visit. My experience with the nurse practitioner, Tarah Rupert, was exceptional. She listened, heard, and responded to my many questions in a way I could understand. I believe this clinic is a much-needed step in the transition of patients like myself from a hospital stay, through follow-up care, to successful treatment.

Dr. Strader has got to be attracting patients by word of mouth by now as a first rate neurologist supported by superb staff in a modern and comfortable facility. The icing on the cake is that he is also is a naturally caring,warm person who cant help but be easy and interesting to talk with, whether about neurology or anything else. In this way he naturally aids his patients at letting down any walls they may have and earns their trust quickly. Add in his obvious expertise and ongoing fascination with his profession and youve got a rare specimen under the microscope.

Not sure where all these negative reviews came from, but the Neurology department of UC was great to me. The doctor was on time, everyone treated me with respect, and the staff was friendly. Dr. Shaffer is a wonderful doctor, and made me feel at home discussing my symptoms and creating a treatment plan. Would recommend this place to anyone in search of an exceptional neurology team!

I can see why this place is rated so low... I called. Rude.. nasty receptionist.. Anita? 🤔 First it was cant get you in for 2 months.. really? So..just be sick..who cares..Then we need a referral..?????..🤦‍♀️ which my insurance doesnt require... To be told.. thats how we work. Seriously???? Then told I have to collect all of my other visits with other doctors...if I didnt see any others???? for my issue 🤔.. so you think Im making an appointment because I have nothing else to do? And have to prove something? How insane is that? Never heard of such a thing. So I guess I want to go just to chat a pay a ton of money out. Insulting. You can tell by how a company is run by the face of that company. Try being understanding and show some respect for people who dont feel well.Sad these businesses are around. Scary. My Doctor is amazing! He goes out of his way to make sure Im okay, when every other clinic didnt help me (treated like I was no one until I came to UCHealth Neurology). Thanks to my Doctor for botox...shes got a beautiful soul. And my Doctor thats been helping me get through tough times. Hes heaven sent.I have faith now. I have a life to look forward to once this is taken care of. Thank God for these people.Dr. Martin and Dr. Young

Being diagnosed with MS was terrifying. Dr. Schaffer helped me get to a good place with my diagnosis and also helped me fight my insurance company to get the medication I need. His nurse Jenn is always kind and helpful even after they have answered a million of my questions. They respond promptly and treat me like a human, not just another patient.

Saw Dr. Golen. He wouldnt listen to a word I said. He kept trying different pills for my symptoms without knowing what was causing my symptoms and refused to do any further testing.Switched to Advanced Neurology. The staff there is listening to me and checking every symptom and are so much more helpful than Dr. Golen.

If you will be going there for your neuro care ask for Dr. Strader he is wonderful. He takes his time and explains things and never rushes out of the room. I would give him 5 stars but I didn’t appreciate his most recent MA having her cleavage in my husbands face, her shirt couldn’t be cut any lower. I hope one of his previous MA’s return. Aubrey and Kimberly were professionals and Kimberly always responded very quickly to my messages.

Dr. William Shaffer is a very kind and caring doctor he cares for all his patients and he listens to everything you have to say and not just listen but really listens I drive twice a year from Pueblo West Colorado to see him I would fly across the world if I had to even the staff is very nice and the facility is very clean

The fact this office even has 2.5 stars right now is absurd. This is by far THE WORST office I have EVER been a patient for. I love my doctor but other staff is clueless. Schedules appointments incorrectly then calls a day before my schedule appointment to try to reschedule me for a month out. This has happened TWICE. I suffer from migraines and literally have been put off for Botox which should happen every 3 months. They also supposedly called and left me about an appointment I had scheduled that I missed because they FAILED to leave a voicemail with the appointment reminder. Then there was the time the receptionist took 15+ minutes to check someone in and I was considered late for my appointment and sat in the waiting room for 40+ minutes til the manager came and told me they weren’t able to see me and we were at fault til I explained that the receptionist was in fact the reason I was checked in late. Somehow she managed to get me a sooner appointment than a month out though. I asked for a referral to a new office and the receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful. My husband tried to get ahold of the office manager but apparently they don’t have voicemails? This office is garbage. The staff is incompetent. I HIGHLY suggest going else where if you’d like to seek treatment.

Would leave 0 stars if I could. Would not recommend this office for anything unless it involves being horrible at their job. If you want a place that doesnt listen to you and is overall unprofessional, then this is the place for you. If you are looking to be cared for, I would go outside of the UC health network. UC health is garbage run by garbage people.

Doctor Shaffer writes a prescription. Insurance company needs a pre-authorization. Office won’t call you back or authorize the prescription for about 2 weeks. Shaffer has been giving the prescription for 10 years and now had to go cold turkey until they call to authorize the prescription. Don’t waste your time with this office.

I tried to make a appointment again due to my headaches getting worse, once I gave them my information that they needed they told me they couldnt locate my file and I would be considered as a new patient to them which is completely bull I been under ucheath files for about 6 years and go every 6 months or so And since the billing said they cant take in new patients Im basically screwed out of the medical care I needed

Was asked last week to move a May appointment to February 8, so I did. Then, today, February 8th, an hour before my appointment I was called by Clinic Staff / Carly that theyd made a mistake, that the doctor was unavailable to see me. Problem is, the appointment was to take 3-4 hours in the middle of the day and I had taken a day of vacation to see Dr. DeJung Lago.Then, to make matters even worse than they could possibly be ... Carly offered to reschedule my appointment for June ... a MONTH LATER THAN MY ORIGINAL MAY APPOINTMENT. After many excuses, pandering, and I understand your frustration Id had enough.Dont care if this clinic is the only group in town ... I am more than happy to take my business and money to a non-UCHealth provider if necessary. Wont shadow this group again.Very disappointed in the clinic, the staff, and the provider.

I was very impressed with the staff at UC Health neurology at Harmony campus. The doctor was very knowledgeable and my migraines have gone down dramatically.

If I could give this office 0 stars I would! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS OFFICE!The staff is terrible at returning phone calls and settinf up appointments.At my initial appointment in October, Dr. Golen reffered me for physical therapy. His paperwork was not correct, the PT place attempted to contact him and he did not reply.At my 2nd appointment in November he asked me why I hadnt started physical therapy yet, making me feels as if it was my fault.So here we are in January, I have called the office over 10 times to get the correct paperwork sent over to the physical therapy office. The staff at UC Health says they will call you back and doesnt. The PT office has called, they too have gotten no replies from the office.I called Unhealth again today and surprise surprise neither my Dr. or his nurse was available to talk.3 months and lots of phone calls later and i still dont have the correct paperwork to get the therapies i need!So very un professional!I will be finding a new doctor!

I have to see him tomorrow and I am dreading it. Unfortunately I have no choice. I would describe him as a doctor totally lacking bedside manners.. I also think he is ignorant about referrals, but thats another matter. The referral system is more the problem of the whole ucheals system.

Tarah has made a plan for me and is really trying to help me with my migraines.

The only hospital and clinic I will go to.

NO COMMUNICATION!!! HARDLY ANSWERS THE PHONE!!!
