Our kids dont need glasses but he is thinking of their general eye health including allergies and blue light from screens! I have been given contact lens to trial and see if they help improve my vision. I like I have new options to try lenses before buying!

I am a new patient (just moved here) and just got my first set of glasses through Spex and they were fabulous! Outstanding communication and very friendly! And when my lenses came back not exactly right (my fault not theirs), they were quick to get me back in to recheck and get the correction made. My new glasses are perfect! I will be back next year for sunglasses.

I highly recommend Dr. Scott Haugen and his staff. He is very knowledgeable, and the eye prescription I received works perfect. I am over 50 years old and it took me many years to find such a competent eye doctor.

We rated this business before & gave them 5 stars. However, we have since come to regret this. Our first few visits were delightful. But as with many relationships, business or otherwise, you learn their true nature in the midst of difficulties. We ordered contacts & were told they would arrive MANY days before they actually did come in. My son had migraines in the meantime. They dropped the ball & gave no apologies or explanation. We thought it may be an isolated incident & continued as a patient there. Then last week we ordered contacts & were told they would arrive in 2-3 days. 6 days later we were told they would arrive the next day. The next day we were told they would arrive within the next 3-4 days. I asked to leave a message for the Dr. to call me. Patty refused to give him a message without me going into details. I had no time for an extensive convo. No any tolerance for her to condition him prior to speaking to him. Yet, this is exactly what happen (I must admit, I maybe giving him too much credit). He calls hours later, offers no apologies or solution to the office staffer’s incompetence or lack of professionalism. Patrons should never get a sense of staff vs. patrons. Nevertheless, this is exactly their mentality. Be warned.

We have been seeing Dr. Skrdla at Spex for probably 10 years, and he has always been personable, knowledgeable, and listens to my concerns. I love that they use top of the line equipment, which means no more dilation! Our appointments are always quick and on time. He has also been great with my 2 elementary age children. My only critique is that they dont have a large selection of affordable frames. I would like to see more options in the $100 and under category, for both adults and children.

Great place. Super knowledgeable and they have all the latest equipment and technology. Im a diabetic so having confidence is someone to make sure my eyes are healthy is super important. Best part, they dont try to seel you stuff you dont want or need.

I had been to Spex Optical when it was under previous ownership many years ago. Since then, I had seen someone at another care facility but even regular visits there had been neglected in the last 2 years. It was time to get my eyes examined again and I was excited to return to Spex and work with Dr. Matt. Making an appointment was easy and convenient to my schedule. From when I walked into the door, and throughout my visit, I felt welcomed and was well taken care of. Dr. Matt took time to interact with me personally, he answered all my vision questions and the experience was exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend Spex to my family and friends!

I went to Spex because of a referral from some cycling friends and because they accepted my new insurance. Dr. Skrdla and his staff were EXTREMELY helpful, personable and informative on my options as far as my insurance was concerned. They also helped me figure out a new pair of cycling glasses (Rudy Project) which was more than I originally wanted, but they are so worth the money. Overall, this has been the best experience Ive had with an eye doctor. Highly recommend Spex Optical!

I have been a patient at SPEX for almost 10 years. When I go in for my annual check up as I did yesterday, I was greeted right away. Within minutes I was being examined by one of the staff who was so patient with me, it touched my heart. I was severely injured 2 and half years ago and get anxious when I am alone out in the world, but they have seen me through all of my challenges and speak like family. Outstanding care by all, an inventory of glasses that made me dizzy until Levon stepped in and helped me find the right pair. I love that I put a pair on I liked and he set me straight on that, wanting me to love the glasses that truly fit and enhance my face. For reasons too many to list, I only trust Dr Skirla and his dream team.

Weve been patients of Dr.Skrdlas for a long time, 15yrs or so. Dr. Skrdla is truly amazing with his patients. He listens, and really cares for my health. He remembers me, even though I only go in once a year. He now cares for my children, too. I highly recommend his practice. Its easy to get an appointment, they have extended hours for those who work. Always professional and have a great understanding of you insurance coverage. As an Athlete himself, Dr. Skerdla knew what I was dealing with in all the different environments of sporting events. My glasses, contacts and sunglasses were all suggested based on how active I am. Wouldnt go any where else. That is, if I still lived in Fort Collins.

I am having Lasik eye surgery soon. Dr. Skrdla and his staff have been extremely helpful to me. They explained the procedure in detail, including what to expect post-surgery, and helped me identify a surgeon. They are working very closely with the Eye Center of Northern Colorado to take care of me. Working with the two doctors has been seamless.

I have been going here for about 5 years and have been pleased overall. Not everything has been perfect but the staff is willing and able to help get things right!

I highly recommend Spex Opitical Eye Care. I experienced exceptional customer service. The staff was professional, timely and friendly. They had extensive knowledge of the products in their store and were very helpful when it came to picking out glasses. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Skrdla. I had been struggling with irritated and dry eyes for quite sometime. I had been given the impression by other providers that this was as good as it was going to get. However, Dr. Skrdla diagnosed a different cause for my irritation and suggested a different treatment plan. He also found a pair of contacts that are more comfortable for my particular problem. I was impressed that he looked deeper into a complaint that I myself had already dismissed as something I was going to have to live with.

I have spent alot of money taking my daughter to pediatric opthamologists at Eye Center of Northern CO and Eye & Laser Center of Ft.Collins, they said she was fine but I knew she wasnt.Finally getting to Spex thru my crappy insurance, I was SO thankful with Dr. Skrdlas professionalism using new and old techniques. He confirmed my suspicions. New glasses and a free follow-up visit! Who does that?

Dr.Skrdla is very professional. He has a great bed-side manner and really cares about his patients. I never have to wait long for my appt. I feel that he genuinely cares about his customers. He answers all my questions and is very thorough.The office staff could use a course in customer service. I often feel like the third wheel in a room - Its a bit awkward waiting in the lobby. When I was looking at frames I had trouble getting someone who knew anything about a particular line of sunglasses.oh well.I will continue to see Dr.Skrdla for my eye care - but purchase frames elsewhere.
